We ordered a delivery and were told it would be approximately 90 minutes. Fair enough on a Saturday evening. After two hours I called to see if the food was on the way: it was ready to go, would be on the way any minute. Another hour went before the food arrived cold and an incomplete order. Not good when you have a hungry child (and parents!) who has to stay up past bedtime for such disappointing food.

We use this takeaway occasionally. Our last visit was like polar opposites. We went in and ordered the food and was told 15/20 minutes wait which was no problem. There were no big queues but clearly a lot of telephone orders being phoned in whilst we ordered ours in store. We returned after 20minutes and then we’re made to wait another 25minutes on top so a 45mins wait in total as opposed to being told 15/20mins. Frankly this is unacceptable today how can they get it so wrong and annoy paying customers and just expect them to shut up and take it? On the flip side the food was really very good and no complaints at all in that area. Be warned and be prepared to wait twice as long as they tell you.

We have had quite a few takeaways from the Golden Panda and we have loved every one of them. I was 17 when I first had a meal here and now I'm 56 and still love the food.

I’ve never experience such terrible customer service! We ordered a meal for delivery and a third of the order was missing, after phoning them to ask if they could bring it, we were told the delivery driver wanted to go home and so we would get a discount on our next delivery. The next time we ordered, after placing a £110 order we were told they no longer deliver as we were 5.1 miles away (apparently according them the 8 minute journey took 35 minutes each way!). When I reminded her of the missing food in our last order (politely may I add), despite the fact she could recall everything that was missing, she proceeded to tell me I was a liar, therefore was not prepared to offer any discount for the food we had paid for and not received or even deliver to us again. After convincing them to deliver the order (with a ridiculous charge!) she shouted down the phone at me “we are never delivering again!”. The food was fine, but I just cannot understand how they can have any customers left when they speak to them like that. I would absolutely advise to take your business elsewhere!

Please G.P, don't tell customers it's 30 minutes, then let them wait outside for a further 45 minutes freezing cold then offer no apology or at least some free crackers or something. Semi regular customer for a ~5 years but feel very disappointed that not even a verbal apology was given.

Wouldn’t know if the food is any good as it never arrived. Placed an order just after opening at 5pm to be told we would have it within the hour. Gave very detailed directions. The hour came and went. Called after an hour and a half to be told the driver had just left. At two hours we gave up. He eventually called from the wrong house on the wrong street so we sent it back. Bit of a shambles really. Won’t bother trying them again.

Delicious sea spicy prawns for main and vegetable spring rolls to start. Both yum yum. The prawns were plentiful and succulent and vegetables cooked just right. Great night in meal after my busy night shifts.

I am a regular to the Golden Panda Take Away and really enjoy their food. Fast friendly service and I also introduced my workplace to a lunch time treat. Safe collection during Covid times too.

Golden panda now deliver to Pulborough which is brilliant as my children love the dumplings and chow mein. They've adjusted to delivering very well.

Totally disgusted with this Chinese tonight !!!!!!!!!!! ordered a takeaway at 6.45pm was told around an hour , fine no worries. 8.15pm no food yet. so rang and at 8.20pm was told " driver left 10 mins ago 8.10pm , one drop before us in West Chiltington and then us . " fantastic . well as of 8.45pm 2 hours after we ordered still no meal so rang and again was told driver is on the way to you, informed her that she said that 30 mins ago , oh perhaps the driver got lost so informed them i am not accepting a meal 2 hours after it was ordered . Will never order from them again , hate being lied to .Rather been told that we cant deliver than to be told lies !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And she told us told they werent even that busy tonight !!!!!!!!!

It was our 2nd takeaway from here, reasonable prices and the lemon chicken is amazing. Need to try more dishes but like the chicken balls, satay chicken, beef chow mein and you have to have prawn crackers!

First time trying this takeaway having recently moved to the area, certainly not blown away by the food, didn’t even get any complimentary prawn crackers for spending a fair bit of £ that most takeaways I’ve ever been to do! The food was ok, the rice I found extremely salty - Chinese food is quite salty anyway! Don’t think I’ll be back in a rush!

Having been a regular user of the China Chef (in Horsell, Surrey) I found this takeaway rather disappointing. All the set meals include curries, which do not go well with the other traditional Chinese dishes. If I did decide to go back I would not select the set meal options. However, given the cost I’m not sure I will go back there.

Probably the rudest staff I’ve ever come across... disgraceful!! Shall never go there again. We spent over £170 on a delivery and half of It was missing.. when the rest came, parts of the order was still not there... when we finally sorted things we asked for some free prawn crackers.... we were refused!! What a dump

First time using this Chinese takeaway; the food was good although the curry sauce and noodles were a bit spicy, shame

Tried this place for the first time tonight. Despite some mixed reviews I have to say the meals were very tasty and first rate chips! The lady serving was very polite and friendly. For take out far better than the Golden Willow. Will be returning.

Good quality freshly cooked Chinese food. The usual dishes to choose from, and several set menus too which are better value. Portions are quite large so don't over order. You can order by phone and then go and collect as no delivery. Note, this place still only takes cash, no cards, which is annoying, but there are cashpoints within walking distance in Storrington.

Well we all were very pleased with our takeaway on Saturday evening and it’s evident to state that it’s a marked Improvement since we last visited many months ago Every dish was better and bursting with flavours Keep up the good work as we will be back

We've just moved to Storrington and wanted a take away and thought we would try the Golden Panda. It was the best Chinese take away I can remember having and we certainly will be using it in the future.

Best take away Chinese , have not been disappointed once , shame it's not a restaurant ,and only a take away,

We have once a month take away with friends. I have noticed over the past year that their level of service has not been consistent. Food also is not so good anymore.

The food is up to the standard, and I think the same recipe, of the Golden Willow in the village. But cheaper. We still use the latter, however, as it's nice to eat out.

I have previously reviewed the Golden Panda and said it was my ‘go to’ Chinese takeaway. Not anymore. A couple of times the staff have been rude telling me I’m late and another time sharply saying I can’t have ordered as they couldn’t find an order in my name, only to find it 5 minutes later. Tonight I pre-ordered and paid a couple of hours in advance and agreed a collection time. Turned up and not ready. Not only wasn’t it ready, they can’t even have started cooking it as I had a 25 minute wait. That is poor customer service. Got it home to find the prawn crackers I’d paid for were missing. Couldn’t be bothered to go back and wait another 25minutes. Unfortunately for the Golden Panda I live 15 minutes away and luckily for me there is a good Chinese takeaway 15 minutes in the opposite direction and I’ll be going there from now on.

We love the food here and the service is excellent. There is always a warm and welcoming smile behind the counter. You can park temporarily at the back of the takeaway. Definitely a Friday night treat!

A bit expensive but nice for a treat. Good quality freshly cooked food. Large menu to choose from. Only take cash no cards

This is the best Chinese I have ever had. Been going here for years now and have tried others but time after time this place impresses. Great flavours. Good sized portions.

Our favourite Chinese takeaway in the Horsham area, has always been a great meal, hot, and on time. Well recommended - just remember it's cash only!

I ordered a whole Crispy Duck for family of 8 on Good Friday. Take AwayWhat I found when at home was a box of tepid, grey minced duck. It was NOT what I was expecting and nor was it particularly tasty.On returning to complain two days after I was told that this IS what they sell, supplied by their wholesaler and warmed up, as Crispy Duck and that the delicious duck shredded in front of you -that most of us know and love- is only restaurant food. No apology and no refund. I had suggested that £20 refund on a £45.80 spend would be a fair gesture. Have taken the matter to Trading Standards as it is Golden Panda fails under the Goods Description.

Been visiting the Golden Panda since we moved to the area in 1993. Only visited a few times a year when our family finances allowed a takeaway, but always enjoyed really reliable good food. Moved out of the village 10 years ago to Henfield and have been very disappointed with the local offering which just serves everything in varying shades of tasteless brown. So, now the only time we eat a Chinese takeaway is when we are passing though Storrington in the evening and can pick up a meal from the Golden Panda. Now that must be a good recommendation!

Large ordered. Prepared on time after telephone order. Hot. Fresh. Well cooked. Very regular customers. Can't fault this place.

I usually visit at least once a month when we have a family Chinese meal, we place our order then walk down to the Moon for a couple of beers, 30 mins later the food is ready for collection. The staff are always happy to see us and the food is always excellent.

Love love love the Golden Panda! Been going here for years and never disappointed. Food is flavoursome and dishes are a good size so it is more than worth what you pay! Always very friendly when I go in too which is great!

Have used this takeaway for many many tears but today it seems new people are involved - the girl on till didn't have a clue but that was not the problem. I ordered barbecue spare ribs, sweet and sour chicken balls, egg fried rice and chicken in 4 seasonal vegetables and I must say it was the worst take away that I have ever had from this place - absolutely awful. Sorry to say that I won't be going back anytime soon which is a shame as I normally use this place 3 to 4 time a month.

I ordered a chinese from here on New Years Eve. Did not surprise me that there was a 45 minute wait.Came to collect chinese after the 45 minutes at 8.30pm. Did not receive the chinese until 9.20pm!!!!! They took too many orders than they could handle.The food was amazing as normal hence the 5 star rating. The biggest problem was not the 50 minute surprise wait, the biggest problem was that they had that awful show on the TV 'Take me out' this was so unbearable and left unable to change the channel. This was extremely more annoying that the extra wait.

Good for a cheap chinese takeaway very quick service, basic front of house but clean and efficient service

First time visit. Really enjoyed the food good quality and tasty. Will use again. I think you should get free prawn crackers when spending a lesser amount than £35 though.

Certainly the best Chinese take away for miles around. I always pop into here around opening time on a Sunday after a few beers in the village and the service is fast and efficient and the staff are a pleasure to deal with. I've seen that some comments rate the place as expensive but I have to disagree purely based on the decent sized portions that you get. You can try anything from the menu and won't be disappointed. Happy eating peoples it's well worth a try.

Best Chinese food I've had. Have gone here many times and am impressed every time. The portion sizes are very generous and occasionally get free prawn crackers! Only problem I have is that it is a little expensive!

Top food, great prices, shame no home delivery. Food is of excellent quality, always piping hot and cooked to order.

its great food here with good portions but I do think its a little pricy. Friendly staff though and you dont have to wait long

This is a thriving takeaway which, like the best takeaways, has a sufficiently loyal customer base such that they don't have to bother with home delivery. They will cheerfully provide an extra-spicy chicken curry which we, and our friends, all rate as excellent.

If we want Chinese take away, it is where we go as the wait is not very long, the portions are good and the food is tasty We go often and as they have a large selection, everyone find something they like.

this is by far the best food in the area, great spare ribs and capital ribs great sweet and sour prawn balls and rice dishes , you wont find any better in the area.

Pancake rolls had very little filling, beef in black bean sauce was so salty I couldn't eat it, sweet and sour prawn balls too much batter and hardly any prawns. Expensive. I will not be going there again, shame as they are within walking distance from my house

I love this restaurant for a quick take away. Tasty, well cooked and good value. On those days when circumstances conspire to make cooking at home impossible this is a treat.

I have only been here once. And I can only find three words to discribe what I had. Dis Cus Ting. I ordered special chow mein and was presented with a watery salty noodle slop with two prawns and a slice of beef in. Have drunk two pints of water since eating. (Which was not very much of it)This chow mein was the worse thing I have ever had the misfortune of putting into mouth and relieving me from 6 of my hard earned pounds. Ovoid this place at all cost. The golden willow is just down the road and is first class.

This is a fabulous takeaway. The food is excellent and the service is great. A bit expensive but order wisely as the portions are large. Some people have mentioned problems parking but there is a large car park next to the library just behind it.

We always go here for our takeaways. It's been in the village for 30(?) years - which says something. A bit expensive, but great quality food. Oh, remember they don't take credit cards, but there are ATMs close-by.

We've eaten take away here as long as I can remember and not once have we had bad food or the wrong order. Always happy to see you. I would agree with the other poster about the Golden Panda. Always great food and busy. We especially like their sweet and sour prawn balls. Parking is tricky, you can try the nearby Church Street which is sometimes easy. And as said before, do make sure you've got cash. Happy eating!!

Excellent food high quality, we find it the best Chinese Takeaway in the area. Couple of down sides, they only take cash so you need to pop to cash point beforehand (not many in Storrington). No parking and they don't deliver apart from that we use them all the time.
