Very rude owner, how this place is still open is beyond me. On ordering the food I specifically asked for something not to go on the plate as I cannot eat it, for it all to be served up. No apology when I said about it she just took it away. I said to my partner she will just whip it all off the top and that’s exactly how she did it! Even left some next to the pot on the plate that she didn’t see! So be warned if you allergies to anything as it would probably still be served up. Never ever will we return, so save yourself the drama and go to another cafe when they appreciate the custom and know how to serve up food properly.

Me and my partner went for a walk into the village and decided to stop for a takeaway coffee in here. We walked through the door and I seemed to think the door would close behind us automatically. However the door remained opened behind me without me knowing. An older woman (could have been the owner) rudely said ‘can you shut the door, heating cost money!’ Me and my partner were in shock by the rudeness made towards new customers. If she had have asked me politely, I would have understood and apologised. There were a couple of young girls in there that she seemed to boss around and they looked very unhappy and bored. Cake counter was also bare on a Saturday before lunch time? Poor service, such a shame when it could have so much potential!

Popped in on a stormy Saturday with my two children and my sister for a quick bite to eat. The young girl serving was polite and smiley but it ended there. This place is like walking into a cafe run by the Adam’s Family. The owners do everything they can to strip happiness from the atmosphere. An older lady who I presume is the owner/manager took us through to a room at the back. She didn’t smile once and visibly scowled at the boys who were rolling a ball across the table to each other. She started off by asking us if we’d be doing one bill or 2 ‘because it’s easier to do it separately’ before we’d even ordered anything! She was rude and sounded fed up when taking our order, rolling her eyes. My son then went to look at some of the interesting things in glass cabinets and the man / owner commented ‘no grubby fingers on the glass’ - I don’t know if he was trying to be funny but from the general child-hating aura in the air, I’d say he meant it. Food arrived and paninis were nothing special. My 3 year old was brought his chocolate brownie which had stupidly been heated up and was piping hot inside which would have certainly burnt his tongue if I hadn’t tried it first. My sister’s flat white was just an overly milky sloppy coffee. This place should invest in a sign on the door warning ‘No Children’, it really would have saved us and them the hassle of a terrible visit. AVOID AT ALL COSTS unless of course you hate children too.

We stopped off as this place was advertised as dog friendly, for a place that proudly advertises this outside and in. When we went in and we were greeted by souless staff who look like theyre there against their own will. Who I presume is the souless manager was sitting in a booth working but it just felt like we couldn’t move or breathe as his presence was unkind and intimidating, not welcoming or private how a resturant should be. He was rude not just to us but other customers, making exclamatory sentences to other customers as well, asking ‘did you enter using the side?’ and then never followed it up to the customers; confused and concerned to say the least. We all ordered brunch and coffees, needless to say nothing was satisfactory. The coffee was bitter and boring and the ‘flat white’ was just a white americano. The food was served stone cold with no butter, dry and the scrambled egg was tasteless and rubbery. When we conversed with the other customers, the manager come over as he was in a booth near us (again no comfort as we felt like we were being watched) and attempted to address the unhappy customers concerns which she happily vocalised to his face. He had no sympathy or recoil back to her concerns, admitting defeat and sighing in her face, no apology to be found. We also addressed the staff saying everything was unsatisfactory after we paid making our way out, and the manager again appears out of nowhere and says hes sorry, and he’ll take the feedback on board, no refund offer to solve the complaints Non-existent customer service and horrible energy from everyone there. NEVER GO

This is a very pretty cafe, with lovely staff, and the food was very good. We had only popped in for a coffee, but decided to have lunch instead. We shall be coming here again for breakfast.

Awful place with awful owners, utterly disgraceful and disrespectful to the staff and customers, resells Waitrose food for extortionate mark ups and illegally fires young employees for no reason. This establishment is vile and should be shut down permanently and with immediate effect.

Had a light lunch here with a friend. We each had the home made quiche with salad and coleslaw. Nicely presented and delicious. Our drinks - coffee and a herbal tea - were great too. The owners are really friendly, helpful and interesting people. The cafe itself has a lot of character. I will definitely be returning again soon.

Fab little place in the village of Storrington situated on the high street in the style of days gone by. Lovely looking setting with friendly staff. We had some hot drinks which included a very smooth hot choc. Pot of tea for one lasted a good few cups. Menu looked good but as it wasn’t quite lunchtime we stuck to drinks. Breakfast menu looked very tempting. Popped my head outside to see the garden area which in Spring and Summer is probably quite a place.

Great place. However I get quite anxious when it's too packed. Wonderful staff and customers are friendly.

Disappointing. I have not even been to Koffie and the service is appalling. My sister tried to arrange my Hen Do at this establishment, there is no direct phone to contact Koffie, you can either text, voicemail or email, it is a very impersonal service. The owner takes over a week respond leaving you anxious, we had a large booking and obviously wanted to make sure everything was going to be perfect as it was a special occasion. The owner showed us no accommodation or rarely acknowledged our concerns. We ultimately cancelled our booking as we felt the Hen Do was going to be disappointing if we had it at Koffie . The owners response us cancelling was that, our booking was a usual booking and her responses and time spent towards us were appropriate. This translates to us, as we didn’t hire the place out for £1500 we were not deserving of her time. Poor attitude, poor communication and not business minded; they have now lost out on a large booking of 16 people because of this. As well as the recent reviews scream alarm bells.

Me and my partner came here on a late Sunday afternoon, the service was great and the gentleman who works there provided 10/10 service. The food however was questionable. We had an Indian meal, the garlic naan and popadoms were okay but when it came to the chicken tikka masala that my parter had, it tasted like tomato soup and it smelled like burnt tomato. My korma was spicy and I’m not good with spice so that’s the whole reason why I get the korma. The samosas we got were also spicy when they’re not meant to be and it was literally just stuffed with onion. No other vegetables. I tried to go to the toilet (the main word in this sentence is tried) and there were 3 stalls. All which had no loo roll. I even tried to get some hand towels from the dispenser but, again, no paper towels. I decided to not even go for a wee and waited until I got home. The floor was sticky and the bin was over flowing and looked like it hadn’t been changed in 3 days. All in all, was not a great experience considering we paid £50 for 2 meals and 2 drinks. Won’t be coming here again sadly.

They don't take cash, unless you give exact change. I rounded up and paid cash. The decent barman actually tried to give me change but his colleague over ruled him - so I didn't get my change. It's a typical gastro pub - a restaurant in a former pub- same paint, same furniture, same lights you see everywhere.
