Beautiful tearoom, yummy food and lovely staff

Booked by email which was confirmed but when I arrived no record of the booking. There was a spare table which was fine but from then on the service was awful and no friendly atmosphere from then on. They're mistake not mine

Lovely place came for my friends birthday! Lovely food and friendly staff.

My wife and I had lunch today.. first time for myself.. as an ex chef.. the quality of ingredients used is excellent - well cooked. Highly recommended. Great service. Can’t wait to go back to what will now be my choice for breakfast/lunch. 10/10 👌🏼

Dropped in for breakfast with my wife and a friend. Happily accommodated 2 pushchairs and 2 babies. Service was fairly quick, with warm smiles. The breakfast was generous, with nice ingredients used - 1 star was dropped for lack of seasoning (on anything). But everything was cooked nicely. Beautiful decor and great music! Will be back.

Amazing decor and lovely staff- loved the pink/ white colour scheme. Food was great - we 3 friends all had ceaser salad with avocado followed by a salted caramel and ice-cream desert - full of calories and delicious. Thank you.

Lovely little cafe/restaurant tucked away in a quiet location. We had the full English breakfast and coffee. Lovely fresh food with outstanding service.

I have had cream tea at the Ritz and at the Savoy and I can confidently say that Joanna's is much better!

I visited Joanna's today for breakfast with two friends and my toddler. Fabulous food and great service. I really recommend the Eggs Royale. Lots of highchairs avaliable and a great baby changing station in the ladies toilet. The children's menu had a dot-to-dot activity and colouring on the back to keep the little ones occupied. I will definitely be back!

Just had afternoon tea and it was amazing. Great selection of yummy food. Wonderful service. Would highly recommend

Well worth the money - delicious afternoon tea

I feel sad posting this. I have used this lovely Tearoom for years. Staff, politeness, helpfulness, food is very good. However, afternoon tea for 4 people came to £160. Quite a bit leap from what I used to pay here. I would say it has gone from a regular visit there price wise to a place you would only go for luxury or special occasions and to be honest I have found a lot of other afternoon teas for a lot less. Everything in the photo and a few cups of tea came to £160.

This café is absolutely splendid! We went there for brunch today. The service is amazing and our food and drinks came very quickly. Everything was delicious. Thank you very much - we will be back shortly to try the afternoon tea!

The place is EXXELLENT, the table setting ,China,cutlery,complement the food and service by professional staff . Highly recommended.

We had a fabulous lunch here - Avocado, Halloumi and poached egg on toast - it was delicious and great value. Served by such a lovely lady who was on a trial day too. Love this pretty place and will definitely be coming back.

Very busy at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. Suggest you book. Very noisy inside as it's popular with ladies taking afternoon tea.

What a lovely place to go and have a special afternoon tea with family or friends. Authentic tea room with the china tea sets. Staff friendly, helpful and accommodating. Food delicious and the bottle of bubbly just topped off the occasion. Price is comparetive to other afternoon tea offers in Sussex. Parking is close by in the public parking area and an easy walk to the tea room.

Lovely easter afternoon tea for our wedding anniversary. Service was great, although we had to ask for our bill 3 times. All food was excellent. It's a small but nicely decorated tea room. In my opinion the price was a bit high. We paid over £80 for afternoon tea for 2 ( with one glass of processco) which I feel was over priced. I have paid similar for afternoon tea in beautiful country house settings with 5 star hotel chefs , so in comparison for the food on offer and the location I felt it was overpriced.

Its been on my list to go to Joanna’s for some time now. For a little high street café/boutique tearoom. They have done this well, and its super popular. If you want the weekend, this most definitely has to be booked in advance its not the kind of place you can expect to accommodate walk ins. Quality was really very good. I would recommend and, will go back at some point, and maybe try Chichester. Great value for money.  It seems to be popular destination for celebrations, as there were a few hen parties, and birthday get togethers, where the cocktails were flowing.  

I was given vouchers for Afternoon Tea for a big birthday and because of circumstances have only just been able to use them. I would highly recommend Joanna’s Boutique Tearoom. Loved the decor and the whole ambiance of the place. The afternoon tea was superb with a hot and cold selection., we couldn’t finish it all so very grateful for the ‘Doggie box’. The staff were very polite, helpful and attentive.

When i booked this for my partners birthday i said it was for her 30th. The staff member i spoke to said they’d make an effort which i didn’t expect but was lovely them saying this. Came in and the music was loud but maybe that was where we were sitting. Waitress then realised it was my partners birthday and just gave her some champagne and said they forgot. My partner doesn’t drink and wasn’t asked this either. I drank it instead and it was warm. Food is always great here but put off by the staff they seemed very distracted and there were only two more tables so it wasn’t busy.

Superb and perfect for a special occasion or simply because you fancy something delicious in serene surroundings. Treat yourself. It won't break the bank😍.

We discovered Joanna’s by chance and didn’t have a reservation. Every member of staff we met whilst waiting for a table (it was completely full) was charming. . The lunch and Mothers Day tea was fantastic .We met Joanna who apologised for the wait!! Great food, service and wish them continued success

I had afternoon tea at the Ritz 3 weeks after, I thought this was as good.

We attended Chichester for my mother’s 80th birthday. The tearooms itself is lovely and the food was good. The service however was poor. They don’t even acknowledge the fact it was such a special day although I had messaged ahead of us arriving. The waitress ( who I believe is the owner) was very off with us and looked very sour; made us feel uncomfortable throughout the time we were there. Not a cheap afternoon tea (£110 for 3) but a very disappointing experience, far more show than substance.

Fabulous food, friendly & efficient staff, would definitely go again

Joanna's in Storrington is a lovely place! The staff are so welcoming and friendly and go out of their way to make a visit there relaxing and enjoyable and without hassle. It has a cosy intimate atmosphere, sheltered away from the world and the busy street outside. Plus the food is delicious! What more can I say? We will be frequent visitors!

We had our first visit today. It’s a shame as we have been missing out. What a lovely inviting place. The staff and service were fantastic. I had something delicious to eat. It brought my taste buds alive and wanting more. An couple of hours later it’s still in my thoughts. So if you’re looking for something different with excellent service you need to give Joanna’s a go.

Having been to Harrod’s, Fortnums and The Ritz for afternoon tea, Joanna’s Tearoom surpassed them all! The afternoon tea here was absolutely fantastic. Although very busy and it’s essential you book, especially at a weekend, we were treated so well (especially as I had my 92 year old Mum with me and her walking trolley). Everything is made from scratch and whereas the London afternoon tea is more an ‘experience’ the food here was far superior and so tasty. I would highly recommend a visit here.

Lovely decor - reserved table was ready for us on arrival - waitress heard us toast for a birthday and offered my friend glass of Prosecco on the house. Food was good portions and great menu. We did the set menu - £19 for 2 courses ( I seem to recall). £22 for 3 courses. Afternoon teas looked great. Only annoying thing was parking - wished I had known to park in the long term car park further up the high st rather than 2 hr no return as there are a few shops to look around in the high street. I had to return to car and move it up the road to library car park but other than that my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Great little place for a special lunch or cream tea - lovely staff - we vowed to return !

I have been to Joanna’s a couple of times now and I would always recommend it! It’s not cheap but defo worth the money! Such lovely food and a beautiful place to go!

We went for cream tea without a reservation but the staff was very friendly and enjoyed our lovely cream tea.

I took my mother out for lunch. Joannas is unpretentious but feels smarter than a Café for a special occasion or a grown-up atmosphere. We enjoyed a hot drink whilst choosing our food and didn't feel rushed or 'moved along' for a second sitting at our table. We had the set lunch, which had perfectly sized mains to enjoy a dessert afterwards with another coffee. Staff were friendly and attentive without being over familiar or interfering - pitched just right. Very enjoyable, would definitely return & recommend.

This was our first to Joanna’s lovely decor we have actually booked a talk on line but when we arrived we were told to pick a table so our table obviously hadn’t been reserved.Nice choice of items on the menu all quite expensive,the drinks were very expensive a gin and tonic was £10.50.There was no salt and pepper on the table.And the music in the restaurant was to loud back ground music would be better,on low.My husband had the soup of the day and I had the eggs Benedict.My eggs were perfectly cooked.Nice place but for storrington we felt it was a bit pricey,nice place to go for a special treat.

Absolutely wonderful place. I have visited here many times but just had to review after our visit on Saturday 20th. The staff and service are great. So friendly and helpful, always smiling and happy. We were even given some Prosecco on the house when the staff noticed we were toasting a friend who had passed away. We had the afternoon tea and it was delicious. Well worth the price, and it looked and tasted incredible. The atmosphere in the tearoom is great, just the right size and beautifully decorated. A really lovely place to spend a few hours with friends.

Went to Joanna’s in Storrington today for afternoon tea with a friend, having been recommended by another friend. Sadly, we were both quite underwhelmed and felt it was overpriced (£34.95) for what we received. It was very busy and we didn’t really feel we were given the experience the price warranted. Such a shame.

Brilliant! Lovely cream tea for 2, so many delicious cakes, sandwiches and warm scones, and pastries we needed a doggie bag ! Smashing background music helped made for a lovely afternoon.

Having my a birthday just after Christmas I was looking for somewhere to accommodate up to 40 people to celebrate. I contacted Joanna and she agreed to let me use the tearoom for the afternoon and together we chose an Italian buffet to be served. The whole experience was excellent from start to finish. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive and the food was outstanding. A special cocktail was served to my guests on arrival along with a soft option. Thank you Joanna, Freya, Kay and the rest of your team for making my birthday special. If you are thinking of somewhere to celebrate a special occasion, I highly recommend Joanna’s Boutique Tearoom

Had afternoon tea recently with family. We had such a lovely time the food was delicious and plentiful with a good choice of sandwiches, pastries, cakes and scones. Jams and clotted cream,was also plentiful ( which is not often the case) , the staff were friendly and attentive. We had had quite specific, and detailed special requests regarding our sandwich preferences. These requests were dealt with so very kindly when I had ordered on the phone and these requests were further confirmed by the very pleasant lady/chef/manager from the kitchen. All the various cakes and pastries were explained and described by this same lady when the food was brought to the table, this also is not usually the case We all agreed (my wife/son and daughter- in law that this was the best Afternoon Tea we had ever had. We will definitely be returning Thank you to everyone at Joanna's Dave & Family

We booked here for a very special 80th birthday, The food was so good! The service & staff was so good. We were blown away. Very little place, totally packed. But service and attention to detail was just so good, when I got really hot and had to sit outside this fantastic man rushed outside and got me two sear cushions, one to sit on and one for my back, and then bought me a large water. My Mum was so impressed and we would all like to recommend. You need to book! It’s worth it. Thank you all, very professional. We will be back soon.

Lovely little place with nice decor. Afternoon tea was faultless although experience was let down by the service. I have pre booked for 4 adults plus highchair. We have arrived and our table which had no highchair. Staff had to ask at other tables whether they could take theirs away which had also happened to us mid through our afternoon tea. My first drink was given to me wrong 3 times, second drink never turned up. No baby changing facilities which was really upsetting considering that when booking was made we were not made aware of this. I was although offered by a nice waiter that he could push 2 chairs from restaurant together for me in the toilet which I have politely declined. If you want a nice afternoon tea and don't care for the service then I'd recommend but definately not suitable with baby. Won't be visiting again.

A real find in this charming West Sussex village. Four of us out for the day in glorious autumn sunshine happened upon Joanna's for a light lunch. Outstanding in every way from choice and quality of food to impeccable service. Do not miss out on the mini cream tea , best scones ever!!

A beautiful tea room, elegantly decorated, with a divine menu. I had lunch this time, but looking at other people's afternoon tea's I will be going back again. Service was polite and efficient. I would recommend booking, so not to be disappointed

Joanna's tea room - I thoroughly recommend! We were a group of 8 and had the afternoon tea, which was one of the best I have had anywhere! The variety of sandwiches and cakeswas wonderful. The sandwhiches were extremely tasty and generous with their fillings. The cakes were fantastic! I particularly loved their cheese straws ( to die for!) , the mini scones, divine lemon posset and the cinammon cream cake was absolutely scrumptious too! I had the gluten free version of the afternoon tea and it was truly excellent. The tea room handled our group's order admirably and with no fuss at all, as we had one ( me) with food allergies, a pescatarian and one person who loathes cheese. Book in advance and discuss with staff. They are really helpful and make every effort to prepare for you. The decor is lovely and relaxing and it's worth mentioning that unlike some tea rooms, the chairs are extremely comfortable: they are supportive and padded, ideal if you have any in your group who can become uncomfortable or have bad backs or joints etc. This tea room is an absolute gem, I throughly recommend!!

Drove here on a Sunday based on the advertised opening times, was turned away at 4pm despite 5pm being the advertised closing time

Not impressed at all by the waitress wearing the pink jeans today as she threw the menus at the table as we sat there no interaction at all awful welcome and poor service we left and went to the Vintage Rose

Lunch was tasty...but bit "pretty and delicate" on the plate. Nice ambience. Service was attentive and friendly. Waited about 35 mins for food to arrive, so disappointed with that...was forwarned it was on expensive side...that was true.. 😒

We went here for my Aunts surprise 70th. We had afternoon tea & it was amazing. The attention to detail was second to none. The food was amazing & nothing was too much trouble for the members of staff. We booked & because it is such a popular place I recommend you book too. A real hidden gem in the heart of Storrington.

This was my first visit back to Joanna’s since before the first lockdown. I took my little boy (4) for Joanna’s afternoon tea. He loved it and so did I. The staff are always so attentive and genuinely want to chat to little ones. The food was amazing and so beautifully presented. The place is spotlessly clean everywhere and the decor and decorative features are gorgeous. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. I’ve been here with friends, family and now both of my sons. We will keep returning!

I loved it! The service was great, the cake was so fresh & delicious and the decor was spectacular!

Well, thought I would have a breakfast and a pot of tea. I was so disappointed with tea, it came in small plain teapot and one teabag! Being a tearoom I normally always get fresh tea leaves, pot of hot water. So felt underwhelmed. Almost £11.00 for a breakfast, that was okay, bacon wasn’t back bacon though. The toast was pretty hard as well🥴. It has lovely staff and a nice atmosphere, maybe try again, but it should be proper tea leaves.

We had a fabulous afternoon tea. Staff were lovely and helpful. The tearoom is gorgeous with chandeliers and pretty decor nothing has been left out. Our table was in a corner but we had plenty of room. My Granddaughter had her own afternoon tea and she was ecstatic about her serving. Chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate ! Two of our party don't have butter in sandwiches and this was noted and left out. If you don't like something on the afternoon menu there doesn't appear to be a problem in requesting alternatives. Great place for a girly get together and chat. Will revisit again soon. Thank you 🤗

Had a takeaway afternoon tea, wow it was amazing, so much from sandwiches, savouries, traditional fruit & plain scones with cream & Jam, beautiful cakes and an individual cheese cake pot. Absolutely fantastic tea rooms, nothing is too much trouble for the staff, I’m gluten free and vegetarian, it was all done, beautiful sandwiches and cakes, then doggie bag, Because we couldn’t eat it all!
