Jungle Tea Room in Horsham

Absolutely delicious homemade tomato and lentil soup. Very friendly staff. Gravel path which adds a little challenge to a wheelchair, but well worth it!

This tea room is situated in the big plant nursery so it really is in a Jungle. They make their own cheese and blueberry scones which are great. The cakes are amazing. They do a soup of the day and lunches too. They serve the tea in decent sized pots. Very friendly. Great! Open Wednesday through to Sunday inclusive.

Nice coffee and cheese scone. Staff friendly. No chef on when we went which was a little gutting, food looked great online. Need more outside seating, beautiful day when we go there and only a handful of spaces outside already taken. In general though lovely surroundings with all the plants from the centre. I’d be back for sure

Very pleasant, friendly and polite service, we enjoyed the Coffee and the Carrot cake was a generous portion of deliciousness. The plants are wonderful and reasonably priced. We'll definitely be back!

A lovely little find for us today, with amazing homemade cakes in the quaint coffee shop.

Why no reviews since2022? It may be rustic with chipboard ceiling but the light lunch menu offers outstanding food and drink.Bubble and squeak with 2 wonderful poached eggs plus homemade carrot and coriander soup with a choice of 3 different breads and croutons such a surprise with friendly staff and a warm welcome, Prices were also good .

We’ve been going to the Jungle cafe since it opened a few years back. Handy as we live in Ashington and also have a passion for exotic plants. Mandy and her staff are exceptional. There’s a lovely warm welcome and a lot of thought has gone into the look and feel of the building and its surroundings. You feel like you’re in a tropical paradise. Shame they had to come to the hard decision forbidding dogs especially as we used to walk ours there but I recognise staff welfare is important so we still pop in for a scrumptious cake and brew. Highly recommend

I had lunch with a friend today. We both had tuna sandwiches, tea and cake. The food was homemade and delicious. The place has a cozy and friendly ambiance. Highly recommended.

A real little gem. Tucked away in the Big Plant Nursery (which is also lovely), you wouldn't know the tea room was there. I had a really nice, big piece of homemade bread pudding, and at £3 was very reasonable. My friend had a cheese scone. Again, it was a good size and was warmed up first. Service was excellent and personal. Would definitely come back. Sadly, dogs are not allowed as 3 members of staff had been bitten.

Fabulous everything. Sat in as grim weather and it was rammed but the staff were so efficient and friendly. Excellent quality food and a real happy vibe. No dogs now but the staff have been bitten too many times to mention so absolutely fair call.

Always looking for somewhere new, nothing big and corporate. This was one of those quirky small business tea rooms that also cater for Gluten free diets. Within the garden centre called Big Plant Nursery ltd here in Hole south of Ashington we have passed this without knowing many times so today made that effort. Very pleasant surroundings, tasty food with ample choices. Knowledgable and attentive staff. Certainly recommended and another place to come back to when passing.

This is such a find, the food is amazing, all freshly cooked, the scones just melt in your mouth and the soup is home made, the service is brilliant and oh so friendly, I just want to keep going back every week. A lovely little place tucked out of the way.

We researched somewhere to eat close as we had just taking our dog to the paw paddock. We read the reviews which were good so we thought we would try. The people were very friendly and helpful! The food was plentiful hot and fresh! Prices were good too! Dogs are allowed outside and they have a dog bowl of water to keep them hydrated also! Will be going back and would recommend.

Welcoming and friendly, local produce, perfectly cooked, highly recommend. They have refined what they do here so no early big breakfasts and more brunch offerings quality to the fore. Great food cooked well and friendly staff. Filling jacket potato with many fillings same as sandwiches salmon avocado cheeses and beans salad and a great slaw. Bubble n squeek with a salmon side now my fave here. Popular so can be worth phoning ahead to reserve a table especially Fridays. Keep going back here... Lovely in this nice weather to sit outside and pick plants for the garden as you eat.

Lovely little hidden jewel (although not to cyclists it would seem) in a garden centre selling mature plants. Very nice food (but do not expect your usual full English. I had poached eggs and avocado on toast and the eggs were done perfectly) and a very pleasant and professional waitress.

Had not been to this nursery or cafe before. Served by the very friendly Mandy.We had the stilton and mushroom toasted sandwhich,the cheeses,ham and mustard toasted sandwich and hot drinks.All very nice and nicely presented. They even had fresh cream for hubby's coffee which is rare these days,so well done! Went in about 1pm on a wet Sunday and it was getting quite busy.Will certainly be back.

A slightly strange (not in a nasty way) cafe. I enjoyed my coffee. The walnut carrot cake was lovely. It wasn't busy, but groups were queuing patiently for tables. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was all very relaxed and pleasant.

Beautiful and relaxing place, seating inside or outside on the terrace amongst the plants. Serving good tea and coffee, great sandwiches and excellent cakes.

First time visit to the tea rooms and despite an unexpected power cut, the tea room team were still able to supply wonderful sandwiches, homemade cakes and cold drinks and the service continued with a smile. Every bit worth a visit, great food, good value and great team work.

Really lovely café. Felt like we were sitting somewhere tropical. Fabulous plants. I always thought I baked the best cheese scones but the one I had today rivals mine. Super cheesy and tasty chutney. Lovely selection of food and speciality teas. Definitely coming back again

Consistently good food, I'm not vegan but the mushroom, rocket and onion chutney sandwich s delicious. I also love the blueberry scones. Friendly, warm safe covered outside area and a great selection of greetings cards. My only critisicm is the car park which is very muddy in places

Just had a really great cup of coffee in this tea room. The staff were very friendly. We didn't eat here but the food we saw served to other tables looked delicious.

We do not visit very frequently, but its always a lovely experience. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The food is all fresh and tasty. Once again I opted for the cheese scone with cream cheese and chutney and it was as good as previous visits. Family members chose coronation chicken sandwiches which were so different and much tasty to the mass produced sandwiches often presented in cafes. The filling was home made with large pieces of chicken and a tasty and tangy coronation sauce.

Originally popped in here after a recommendation and after three visits have never been disappointed. They serve great coffee and a good selection of generous sized cakes.The staff are really lovely and friendly and look forward to my next visit mid-cycle ride, this time for a blueberry scone.

Stopped over for a welcome cuppa while on a walk in the area. Staff were not very welcoming but were quite busy. I asked for a fruit scone but it was inedible , no fuss was made and a replacement given. I had to ask again for my earl grey tea and a Camomile tea came instead after a lot of waiting. I couldn’t be bothered to complain again so drank it. Such a shame , this place could be so much better as a lovely location and nothing else for miles around.

Great little hideaway amongst the tropical plants in the nursery. Transports you away to warmer climates.

Lovely little place for a coffee & toastie

I'm a regular at The Jungle. The food is fantastic and always fresh. The cakes are always very good, including their very own Blueberry Scones. The staff are lovely, very friendly and caring. It''s quite often very full of customers, but so far always willing to share their tables. The Cafe has a great atmosphere, and always welcoming. It's the best foodie venue in Ashington.

Great little place. I have sampled their excellent bacon sandwiches and cakes, but their cheese scones are amazing. They have a good range of teas to choose from as well. Staff are very friendly.

Nice coffee and the food looked really good from what I saw. Only downside is it is quite small so doesn't take too many people to arrive before it becomes really busy. Makes for a nice cafe atmosphere but I could see that getting a seat may be problematic. Think it worked out at a tenner for 4 coffees-2 lattes, 1 cappuccino and a regular black coffee, so pretty reasonable these days.

Will give it 5 stars because the food and coffee is so good, although it could do with a baby change in the toilet!

My first time at the jungle tea rooms and I was very impressed! Staff were extremely friendly and polite and the drinks and cakes (lemon and elderflower) were lovely. It was very busy but we didn't have to wait long at all. I would definitely recommend ❤

Quiet location attached to an interesting nursery. Do NOT be put off by your first impression, Staff are lovely and the breakfasts are superb. Minor drawback with parking spaces but you can park on the road.

Another lovely breakfast, this is now officially my favourite. Perfect coffee ( even though I forgot to ask for a normal cup for my latte, not one of the weird glasses that I cant stand) and just the right amount of friendly ( normal friendly not wierd chain cafe friendly) Highly recommended

I rarely write reviews but this place is deserved of doing so - we've been coming here since it first opened and cannot fault it, the food, atmosphere and service are outstanding. I would urge anyone reading this who is considering going to stop reading and get down there, you will not be disappointed.

A hidden gem of a place. Been here a few times now - consistently very good. Great coffee, food and excellent attentive service. The design of the cafe is brilliant, with the electric heaters on the veranda. Dog friendly. Fully recommended.
