‼️ DO NOT VISIT WITH DOGS!!! ‼️ This place claims to be dog friendly, IT IS NOT! A MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC WAS ATTACKED TODAY BY LANDLORDS DOG! My poor father in law was attacked by the landlords dog today (26/05/2024) at an event held at the pub. This could have so easily been a child!!! We have photos of his injuries (puncture marks and bleeding) and we will be contacting the police. The dog in question also attacked our two 6 month old puppies too. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! Landlord couldn’t have cared less and very concerned staff told my father in law, that the landlord has been told not to let his dog loose, previously. Thank you to the staff for looking after my father in law in assisting him with FIRST AID! As for the landlord, you are absolutely disgusting.

Great place to visit. It's a must as it's animal friendly, so take your doggo and enjoy some good food in the garden. Kids stuff and motorbikes about, great place.

Nice setting but couldn't get to the bar to order a drink as lots of people sitting there who didn't move. Not very friendly towards bikers and another customer nearly reversed into my husband in the car park. Won't be going back!

We went as a family for Mother’s Day. We all ordered roast as that’s is all that was being served. It’s was vile. The roast chicken was just a chicken breast fillet which was cold. Potatoes looks lush but we’re stone cold. Veg again was cold. Every dinner we received was cold. I’d advised the waiter it was all cold and she advised she would let the ‘chef’ know but nothing come of it. Very very poor customer service from that point of view. However the bar man was very friendly. The chicken was good enough for the dog through, so he enjoyed some cold chicken ha!

Last time we visited was before lockdown, what a absolute pleasure, it’s a Pub ! You’ve got bike memorabilia on the walls and the smell of a pub. The barmaid was really normal and helpful. Beer was good and food was good and tasty

Good pub nice food apart from the very annoying dog. When I left the pub the dog was trying to hump my leg in the car park. It didn't want to stop until someone intervened

Having made booking on there Friday before, we - a family of four with two teenagers and a dog - were made very welcome from the moment we arrived. We were seated in a very comfortable room with a roaring fire, which we happened to have all to ourselves. The food arrived after a short wait - enough to know it was freshly cooked, and it was absolutely divine - and this from someone who often finds roast dinners out a bit disappointing and "not as good as I could cook at home". The beef was cooked to perfection, the roast vegetables were spot on and the cauliflower cheese was to die for! Pud was great too! And the beer was really good.

Came here by chance with a friend last week. Barmaid lovely and this cute pub was was sweet. Loved the little shop behind the bar! Enjoyed our fish n chip lunch. Huge portion and piping hot. Enjoyed a cup of tea beside the log fire before leaving.

I've always liked the Plough. It's a proper pub, with proper beer and good food. Six of us went in for a fish and chip lunch. Fish was excellent, the batter decent and the chips very good indeed. Service was charming if a little erratic.

Warm and friendly has a great local pub feel

I fancied a steak Saturday night and called for a takeway. I was told only a better cut and more expensive one was available. As still reasonably priced I decided to go for it.I believe it was called a Chateaubriand. It was one of the best pieces of beef I’ve had for years. Mouthwatering and cooked to a perfection. Homemade peppercorn sauce was delicious. Thank you.

Entered the car park which was full of logs . Proceeded into bar area to be greeted by no one . Left by bar and not attended to . Bar area dirty : sticks , general dirt . Dog running round . Poor service

Popped in here on a rainy half term - me and the kids all had the sausage and chips which were lovely. Fire going. Fun ‘game’ to play. Lovely atmosphere.

Really good old fashioned pub friendly atmosphere good beer. They have a new chef who cares alot about the standard and quality of food being served would highly recommend a visit.

Stopped off for Sunday lunch, no roast on a very limited menu, opted for Sausage and mash off the "Specials" board - although there was nothing special about a dish I could have made at home!

We were invited to a family party at this pub on Sunday and were surprised how good it was. We have driven past several times and have never been tempted to go in. When we first arrived we thought it wasn't going to be very good, but on going in, the warm welcome, the great staff, and the good food, made the evening a great success. There is a limited menu, but all our meals looked and tasted good. The atmosphere in the pub has a really friendly feel, and most of the customers seem to know each other. All in all a great evening, will certainly go again soon.

Came for the bike show last weekend and was blown away by just how good it was. Great bikes, great people. Staff smiling and friendly. Even played a game of Toads! Massive barbecue in the garden and a live band; couldn't be a better Saturday.

We were looking for a pub for lunch having visited Leonardslee gardens, and saw the Plough. Getting in to the pub was a bit of a challenge: what appeared to be the main door was locked despite a sign outside saying open. We ended up trying all the doors until we find one that opened. The kitchen was not fully staffed so a limited lunch menu was on offer, but that suited our needs so we were not inconvenienced. Food was served quickly. We sat in the garden but the parasol pole was not well secured so ended up knocking over one of our drinks. The staff were pleasant but signage to the way in, and attention to the parasols have brought down our rating for this property.

Food was brilliant when it eventually arrived and then the last plate wasn't delivered until about 10 minutes after everyone else. Nice location worth giving them another try in case it was a one off

We decided to travel out here for a drink a bite to eat - had some pinot grigio,lasagne and jacket potato with prawns and marie sauce - mmmm. We sat outside in the garden out back, in the late evening sunshine and really enjoyed it out there. The pub has more than enough parking as well. We should return again sometime in the future.

Recently went to 'Glastonbeeding here' - No Stomzy or Coldplay, Just two good local bands raising money for local sports clubs. I would have liked to have seen more craft beers available but that could be bit poncy for this gaff! Queuing for your drinks and seeing the clasic bike paraphenalia is all part of the fun at the Plough...

Had the pleasure of eating here today, the food was amazing the pub a beautiful proper traditional setting, serving a decent pint. The cook Rachel was super friendly and made us feel very welcome serving us the best pie and mash we have ever had, just like Moms cooking. We look forward to visiting again thanks Rachel. We were on our way home from visiting family in Portsmouth and wanted to stop for lunch we just happened to pass this place and what a great find the food was delicious the people were so friendly and the chickens running around the garden were a hit with my 8 year old nephew along with the swings and slide he didn’t want to get back in the car great place to stop totally recommend

Only went in for a coffee as we were passing because M25 was car park. We were only customers (late lunch time). Coffee was OK.

Having just moved in to the area I’ve found Mark and his staff very friendly, after just a couple of visits I’m made to feel very welcome.

What a pub, unlike any other, incredible atmosphere, great music and great staff. The manager is a very nice guy too and really looks out for you. A must go for a quick drink all the way up to a rocking party..

Very unimpressed. Food wasn't what was described on the menu and took over hour for a jacket potato.

Food was really nice. We had a fish and chips which was well prepared. The batter was crispy light and not soggy. Waiting staff should be more as the service was not efficient because of the short number of people working but friendly and polite. Not the best choice on drinks but nice and warm atmosphere. Worth to pay a visit

This place must have the best steak in the uk. Never had a steak so good. The family enjoyed all there meals and we have booked to return again. Great local beers too.

Stopped for a late lunch, had not booked as just passing. Even though late the staff and in particular the barmaid made us feel welcome and food was a step above. Pub has a British motorcycle theme, which made a plesent change and the toilets were exceptional, which was also a plesent surprise. Would recommend a visit to anyone in area.
