I'm local and dropped in for a pint of Guiness. I was charged £7.15?!? I'm shocked that they think they can charge those prices. I frequent London quite a bit and I don't think they even charge that much. The pub is nice in itself but they're clearly pricing out the locals. I'll enjoy a beverage elsewhere in the village.

Love this little gem of a Café! Alex the owner is always welcoming and the food and drinks are absolutely brilliant! The team & surroundings are charming and yes its small but it is a Café so how it should be. Food always cooked fresh and great value for money. Wonderful place and always returning when we can.

Diabolical food compared to Hook Tandoori. Chicken didn’t seem like chicken and both dishes flavourless. The restaurant doesn’t even smell of curry when you walk in. Very run down. Won’t be going back.

Excellent breakfast. All top quality ingredients, as expected. Cost of drinks were a bit high, we thought. £4.50 for a glass of orange juice. Freshly squeezed and very nice but quickly adds up on the bill. Would highly recommend, though. Would love to visit again and browse the shop, butchers, fish mongers. Shame we are not local

Great meal last night at the B&D. The menu had a broad range of options and prices; all were exceptional in presentation and taste combined with attentive service.

The Queen's Head is an absolute gem! The food is outstanding—flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The staff are friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. Live music adds to the vibrant atmosphere, and the surroundings are simply stunning. Whether you're there for a meal, a drink, or to enjoy the tunes, it’s an all-around fantastic experience. I love Bel and the atmosphere and staff as a local who has been going for 10 years, but I met a friend recently and had a black coffee which was £3.45!! I’m afraid I will enjoy my coffee at home - sorry guys but that is ridiculous, it’s not London.

Well where do I start. Sadly I have nothing good to say about the service or food. The young waiter didn’t know what the Sunday roast meat was saying he had only just started his shift. We then chose our roasts, myself beef, my mother and daughter pork, it turned up on cold plates with luke warm food. The Brussels sprouts were over cooked, the leeks ( with no sauce) were not cooked enough. Never have I had cabbage with mint sauce in, it was awful. The roast potatoes looked and tasted like they had been reheated. The beef was chewy and the pork was dry. I asked for horseradish sauce to be told they didn’t have any. This sums up to me how inadequate this place is. It’s not good enough. To end on a slightly positive note the carrot, cauliflower and Yorkshires were ok. They did apologised and didn’t charge us for a coffee and a dessert but would have preferred a decent meal and service.

Where do I start... Our usual breakfast/brunch cafe was fully booked, so thought we would try The Fountain. Ordered two breakfasts and two teas. The breakfast priced at £10.90 was so overpriced for what you got - bacon just a sliver, toast the smallest I have seen, one hash brown (usually get two), baked beans were cold - the only thing on the plate which was excellent was the sausage. The final straw was two teas priced at £2.90 each which was a very large pot of hot water, two tea bags and this made the tea so weak we left it. Great staff, very polite, very clean, but what a disgrace for a breakfast. It seems that if you go in there for a cake and a drink, then it is acceptable, but in my opinion, if I am spending £28 on breakfast and tea, I don't want to come out feeling hungry. Shall NOT be going back and avoid if you want hot food - so overpriced for what you get.

Nous nous y sommes arrêtés pour un apéritif et un diner. Belle demeure raffinée dans la jolie campagne anglaise. Un trés bon repas accompagné d'un bon vin. Notre maitre d'hôtel trés sympathique parlait parfaitement français. Nous avons passé une excellente soirée.

The Mill House are always amazing, great food and service, the Brunning & Price chain of restaurants are great but the Mill House is definitely one of the more unique and pretty ones.

First time here. Had lunch with a friend. Slightly pricey but the food is excellent, service was great and had a lovely ambiance with quiet background music. Will definitely be going again!
