I use to be a regular of this pub 35 years. It has been through turbulent times. I must say it is back on track. Very attentive staff, well stocked bar and relaxed atmosphere. Slightly high prices than the usual gastropub serving good food outside London

A great find, where us and two other couples were able to stay overnight in the carpark in our motorhomes, (3 in total) on route to our destination the next day. Great food and service in the pub, and felt very safe as an overnight stay. The Manager came out to see us the next day to see if everything was good with our stay which was great. Will definitely be a spot we will visit again when were away and passing.

Needed to stop somewhere whilst away working, and fell upon this little gem set in the middle of the country! Its quiet, peaceful and tasteful. The homemade pizza was too die for in the evening and the breakfast in the morning was absolutely superb. Even during these covid lockdown times they managed to accommodate very well, if I am this way again I will be sure to stay here again. 5*+++

One of the Weatchiefs pubs. Two of us ordered ham eggs and chips. What we received was terrible. It was a slice of ham out of a packet, 11 chips, and 2 eggs. The whole dish was cold. It's tasteless and not worth the money. No one asked if everything was OK at the table, and I can guarantee you that they were well aware of what they served up. It's not worth the money by any means.

Visited this evening after hearing such good things. Sadly I didnt get to try the food. The all you can eat tapas isn't labeled & upon asking what was vegetarian I was told I could have chips, potato bravas and Mediteranian vegetables. At £25 a head I declined and we went elsewhere. Although the staff were lovely and twice offered to make me something from the main menu. I understand that veggie options will be limited, but I had certainly hoped for more than just chips or vegetables.

Nine of us from 9 to 86 enjoyed the sunday lunch at this popular pub/restaurant. We arrived early for our 12.30 booking and our orders for drinks and then food were taken promptly while the restaurant was still quiet, our food arrived quickly and we were all served together by the friendly efficient staff. The meals were enjoyed by everyone and were hot and nicely presented when the bill came service was included, bu then the restaurant wa full and quiet but not lacking in atmosphere in any way. Our only slight down side was the selection of desserts which lacked variety and any fresh fruit. Overall a good choice but booking is clearly essential.

Met up with friends for a quick meal before attending a local charity quiz night and the service was just amazing, Our server was really efficient and helpful and both food and drink were great. My crab cake and chips was tasty as was the chicken schnitzel and beef pie. We didnt have time for dessert but will return as this was just a lovely dining experience.

Very good meal at The New Inn today, Easter Sunday. We arrived without booking but a table was found. We ordered Half Roast Chicken and Steak Burger. Both delicious, the burger, home made. Followed by Taramisu Cheesecake -Wow! Our meals arrived in good time and the service was excellent. Attentive, cheerful and polite without being obtrusive. Our first visit but will definately return.

Wow amazing cake in this lovely new café at plant centre near Hook. Can't rave enough about the cake I had and the lovely surroundings. Very beautiful. Highly recommend!

Be aware, Google says they close at 5.30 but we arrived on a lovely sunny afternoon at 4.35pm, to have a coffee and cake in the sun. But even though their cakes are on display right in front of you, they won't serve you anything after 4.30pm. What a shame, they're missing out on sales there, we went to The Wellington Arms instead and had lovely coffee and cake!
