Sunday lunch was lovely but the puddings were underwhelming and expensive.

Had a really delicious avocado and beetroot ciabatta, and a portion of chips. Both were delicious. Service wasn't the quickest but it was Saturday lunchtime and it was busy, the staff were friendly and polite though which was good. Main thing is the food was great, so it was overall a good experience.

Exceptional pub. The roasts were absolutely delicious. Really nice variety of pretty spaces with a bar, restaurant, outdoor patio and garden with playground. What I loved most was how the staff three times heated up baked beans I'd bought from home for my son. Really nice people. Highly recommend.

It's a beautiful setting opposite the cricket green. It was a nice welcome when I entered, The Frog & Wicket, I only had drinks and a snack, but the pub is very cosy and has a great atmosphere. I will dine there next time.

If you must drink outdoors, then this is your pub Casually friendly staff, good outdoor ams indoor space but parking is smh limited. The pub is also next to a sports field so I chugged down my beers whilst watching a free live cricket game!

We had a great time celebrating my daughters birthday. Good food, happy attentive service. The day was hit. They could have done with more umbrellas in the garden, but that didn't detract from our experience. We will be back soon.

Lovely little pub with friendly staff. Ordered a steak and a glass of wine. Highly recommend the pinot noir. The chips were great (best I've had in the local area), steak distinctly average however and the peppercorn sauce tasted like bland bisto gravy. Will be back for drinks in the sun.

Delightful venue, loved the decor, staff really friendly, food fabulous, toilet very clean (only one though). Will definitely come back.

Nice place to sit and enjoy the cricket with a cold beer. Friendly staff and found them to be very knowledgable of the drinks they are serving which is always nice.

Oh do I wish this was my local but thinking about that I would never be home. This Pub overlooks a cricket pitch as the pubs name suggests and this visit it was rammed to the rafters with a competition in progress, cars parked on every bit of land available but the service was right on the button along with the pleasant attitude of the staff who were flat out. This is a great Pub with the right attitude, look after your customers and they will look after you. On this visit 10 out of 10 in all areas...Oh I wish it was my local but I live 30 miles away.

Good view, best drink and have a good time with family and kids around playing in the garden. Lots of parking

We all really enjoyed our meals, a very cheery server. Our food was bought quickly and was universally enjoyed. There were a few minor niggles, such as no coffee available due to faulty machine (these things happen) but not enough to spoil our enjoyment.

Out for a beer and a chat with some mates, super friendly staff lovely village pub.

We went to my uncle's reception here after his funeral. They looked after us very well.

Lovely, old school village pub. Very homely with an open, working fireplace. Fight for that table near the fireplace, it's worth it. There is a hall outside with tables and chairs down one side, while the other has a skittles alley. There is a small kitchen to the side as well. My only issue, is the price of the drinks. I understand drinks are not cheap these days, but paying £6.80 for a pint of Peroni is way too much in my opinion. I know you can pay more in other parts of the country such as London, but you can also pay a lot less elsewhere. Gripe aside, this is a great pub. They have a good team in place. All the staff on shift every time I have visited have been friendly and helpful.

Had a really underwhelming and overpriced roast dinner. Service was slow, average food that was so cold I needed to send it back. Things forgotten from the order. Won't be in a rush to return, that's for sure.

I ordered the Sri Lankan sweet potato & green bean curry. It was very disappointing. It looked dull and dry, it was luke warm, and it had no flavour whatsoever. I was hungry so I just ate it. I added salt (which were salt crystals) but because it was so dry and not hot, the salt didn't dissolve. Veg curry is the easiest dish to make so I don't know how it went so wrong. I ordered a sticky toffee pud to try make up for it, and although it was tasty, it was also luke warm. The staff were nice, and the decor and atmosphere are lovely. I spend £30 and to be honest I left feeling robbed and very underwhelmed. I wonder if this is a one off, perhaps the chef was having a bad day. I probably won't be returning to find out. I didn't complain at the time as I was with a friend that I hadn't seen for ages and I didn't want to ruin our evening.

Buffalo wings v good could do with hand wipes .lamb v good. Service v good.

Service was awful. We had to fo to the bar for a second drink whilst waiting for our meal, which took 40 minutes, despite being the first table to order. We heard the waiter apologise to another table for the delay, but we were not given the same treatment. The one saving grace was the food was excellent and served still piping hot. It was just a shame that the serving staff were not more attentive.

My wife and her friends had been here before and were impressed. Unfortunately, this visit was completely the opposite. Apparently, the Chef had gone home, it showed, the wait for our food was unacceptable and spoiled our evening for some, also the food wasn't up to standard for some of our party of 10, although mine was ok. A man on a table next to us didn't even get his main course, whilst his friends had finished their desserts! He said he wold now go home and cook himself something to eat, calamitous. Lovely beer ( Fullers HSB).

An organised Christmas event for a large group. Despite orders being taken prior to the event the meal was disappointing. The service was poor, with some orders very late, a general uneven delivery of food and staff with few skill in customer service. Recommend better training of waiting staff.

Another great lunch with friends at this gem of a pub. It's gone through a few tasteful improvements since my last visit but the welcome and quality of food has not changed - it's still top class! And its setting in this lovely village is as delightful as ever. And just back for a Christmas do with a large group... absolutely faultless.

A Fullers pub serving excellently kept London Pride by very friendly staff. Been one of my favourite pubs over many years. Changed Landlords a few times but always a friendly place to go. Please bring back Monday music nights

Had a late Sunday lunch here and was very impressed. Good service, lots of beer choice and the food was good quality and well cooked. Much better than the previous time we came here and now we will come back soon.

Visited as part of a wedding reception. Lovely building opposite the local cricket ground. Staff were super friendly and helpful (especially late in the evening when we got stranded due to a mix up with our taxi arrangements! So a big thumbs up 👍) The event was very well orchestrated and a great success. Would recommend 😊

We thought the food was quite pricey for what we had.....my starter was meant to have mozzarella cheese in with the salad but it was very scarce....we ordered a side each which we were told the chef hadn't realised they were on the order and was just starting them so we had to start our mains without them!! We were the only people in there for quite a while then 1 other couple came in...poor service really...the people were friendly tho

Stopped for lunch on our walk of the local heath land to find a pleasant village pub. Spacious interior around a generous bar and lots of outside seating. Five cask ales on tap and the two sampled were excellently conditioned and served by very friendly attentive staff. Surprisingly good selection of food and all three meals were very good. Reasonable value. Worth another visit.

Walked from Yateley to Eversley with the dog for an early evening drink in the sunshine. As it was just me and the dog, I wasn't sure if I'd be able to take the dog into the pub.... they welcomed Reg with open arms, and even gave him a metal dog bowl with iced water in it for him 😁 Sat outside in the rear beer garden and enjoyed my J2Os on a shaded table. The pub was moderately busy, but not packed, so there was a lovely atmosphere of chatter, but without feeling guilty for taking up an entire picnic table to myself and the dog 😉 Lots of families there and the children enjoyed the play area at the back of the garden. Really well maintained pub, which is directly opposite Eversley cricket pitch. Felt really welcome and comfortable as a single female.

Disappointing lunch today. Six of us. Nice interior and plenty of seating inside and out. It wasn’t busy – we arrived at 12:00 as it opened – but the service was very slow. Food took a long time to come and when it did, I didn’t think it justified the prices. After main course we eventually asked for the table to be cleared, then after more waiting, asked for menus for desert. I won’t be going back anytime soon.

Updated 20230611, came here with a family celebration and was impressed by the patience calm and efficient service. Food good, puddings lovely. First time here and I was really impressed by the beer and food. Lovely helpful staff and nice surroundings made for a lovely eating experience.

We had a wonderful evening because The Grafters were playing , the best band in the world. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. If you want to come and listen to The Grafters you have to come early otherwise you will not find a seat and stand all night because there are only a small amount of tables on the pub side. If you want a nice night out and have a bite to eat alongside listening to live music then you will love this pub.

There for the first time following the refit, I don't live local, but my god I will return, Great service..Great food and a gentle feel that makes feel comfortable in the Restaurant, it is well worth a visit, Cost ? I can not comment as this was a New Year lunch with family, however the menu looked well priced considering the good food we had. End of the day I enjoyed the food and the experience. Went to a 50th birthday party at the weekend here and what a great place to have such a celebration. Excellent venue - lovely feel to the place , quality food , superb beer and friendly, efficient staff. Totally recommended 10/10.

Another fantastic lunch at the Frog today. Food was amazing, everyone is just so lovely and attentive. Even Alan (diva hound!) had his own roast beef lunch. If you haven't tried it already, their signature dish of slow cooked lamb shoulder is to die for. Thank you to all at the Frog ... it's an amazing gem of a pub

I met my friends from work to catch up for Chritmas. I have never visited before but was pleasantly surprised by the food and the the staff. We were all made to feel welcome and has a fabulous time. Happy Christmas to the staff.

Nice pub for a quick drink today on the way home. Friendly staff and dogs welcome. Only thing I didn't like was the ladies toilets. The minute you opened the door it stank of sewage and made me feel really queasy. Plus the toilets were freezing cold. I thought perhaps at first it could be cabbage smells from the kitchen? I had to use the loo again just before we left to go home and the same smell was there 45 mins later so I think the plumbing needs to be looked at as it is really unpleasant.

Last night, family meal. The order was wrong and my husband meal was out after we had all finished. (I know this can happen)The kids pasta for £6.50 was so small, cold and just cheap! Worth about 5p to make, not even a proper kids menue with 3 courses, over priced and cheap food. We used come here a lot and the food had gone down hill. Won't be eating here again, very expensive for cheap and cold meal.

Cannot recommend this pub enough

Having used this pub in the past and experiencing tolerably acceptable standard I decided to give it another try today. What a mistake! The food was awful, the service very slow and the prices exorbitant (considering). Never again!

One of the few pubs in the area, where quality of food and service hasn't dramatically fallen post-lockdown.

It's a plesent pub to go and relax, especially when a nice summer day :) - had a great Sunday lunch yesterday 😀 I can't eat a lot in a one sitting so they gave us two smaller plates and share the lunch whits was great for me, not everywhere will do that!

Superb location opposite the cricket green and a slightly more eclectic ale range than your standard Fuller's boozer. Friendly staff and out front is a suntrap when the weather's nice.

Staff are friendly outside needs a spice up. If you want to watch cricket and have a pint then that's the pub for you.

Very disappointed Sunday roast. I ordered roast chicken and was presented with a dry piece of chicken with two potatoes. The best thing of the pub are the staff and playground for kids. Roast for £18 ponds was a joke. Quality and quantity was ridiculous. Go elsewhere for food.

Outrageous. Poorest Sunday roast experience ever. I would be happy with small portions if it was quality food. But everything was overcooked and in and presented roast was overcooked and not really well presented - see pictures. Plant based nut roast £15.5 Norfolk roast chicken £17.5 It might be a great option for a summer drink, but not for Sunday roast :(

Dog friendly pub opposite the village cricket ground. Various area’s to sit with a large garden and children’s play area. Or sit out front and watch the cricket. Excellent food and friendly staff.
