What a find. Lovely clean, freshly decorated accommodation. Supper was excellent and room and bathroom spotless. Reakfast was also excellent. Have already booked 2 more stays.

Stumbled across this place when travelling back home this afternoon, the outside looked so inviting I couldn’t help but to stop and have a little look inside. Beautiful decor, very traditional British pub aesthetic. The food here is all super fresh, also surprised, as I thought the menu would be limited to old school food, but there are many dishes that I did not expect to see. I settled with the soup and chicken pad Thai. Sweet potato, chilli and coconut soup - this was quite simply, unbelievably good! Seasoned so well, the warmth of the chillis just coming through at the end reminding you they’re present. Very moreish 10/10 Chicken pad Thai - I was super excited for this one, I’ll keep it short. Incredible 9.5/10 (I would have liked to see some daikon pickles offered as a side something a little tangy, salty and a bit sweet for that extra something something) Staff - Super friendly and attentive, Dora and Samantha were nothing short of amazing!!! Overall Rating 9.7/10 Worth a visit

Such a great stay at this lovely venue, the staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble. The room was brilliant, bed so comfortable and the walk in shower was so good. The dinner and breakfast was delicious, it was great (as we are older) that the dinner menu had small plate options. Comfortable and very friendly staff

I shouldn't say this but I was so pleasantly surprised by the whole experience at the New Inn. We stayed for one night. Had dinner and breakfast. The dinner was really tasty (fish and chips, souvlaki and ribs), the service friendly and professional. The rooms are so comfy, well appointed, gorgeous en suite shower room. The breakfast was above and beyond expectations- I had the most fluffy omelette with sautéed potatoes and mushroom. And the pastries were not the cheap stuff you can get in other establishments. Deserves every five star. Thank you!

I have to say... ordered the 'Pitmaster' burger ....one of the best ever ... a home made beef patty with steak slices on top with American cheese ... delicious!!! The sticky toffee pudding with caramel ice cream was superb as well !!! Great meal...highly recommend !!!

The place has had an incredible revamp and the staff, food and atmosphere are just as lovely, if not better than the Hogget was. Well done Hogget team for bringing the New Inn a new lease of life and of course for bringing the pork scratchings with you! 😋

I stayed here for 2 nights and it was really really wonderful, clean, comfy, newly refurbished rooms, excellent shower and lots of space. The staff were really friendly and went out of their way to help. I ate there both nights and they had good gluten free food, clearly marked and delicious. I would make a point if revisiting.

The personnel are extremely cordial and affable, and I have had the pleasure of partaking in some exceptional culinary experiences there.

Great charming hotel, nice restaurant and bar. Rooms were spacious and the bathroom very new and clean. The only complaint I have is the location at the road, with a bit of noise from cars rushing by. Ahhh and you cannot reach the place by public transport.

A truly wonderful find. I booked 2 nights at this at this lovely Inn as I was attending a wedding at nearby Rivervale Barn. The staff were friendly and helpful the large room was spotlessly clean, bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows, the walk in shower was huge with a nonslip floor and a shower that operated perfectly. Breakfast on both mornings was delicious and cooked to order with quality ingredients... the bacon and sausages were particularly good. All in all a very pleasant stay and would highly recommend.

100% would recommend The New Inn. 9 of us went out for a family meal here, the service was fantastic and the meal was outstanding. They even brought over some treats for the dog 🫶

Drove past this pub as I miss my turning at the roundabout, trying to get back to Aldershot from Reading. Weather was fantastic this weekend so had to turn back around and park up there. Not a bad menu had one of their light lunch in there beer garden. Nice staff and food came out quickly not a long waiting time.

Have been here a number of times over the past 10 yrs, often to celebrate birthdays. Always great service, good beer and excellent food. Attentive and friendly staff are happy to help. It's just far enough away from home to feel that I've had a night out for my birthday this year. I'm agoraphobic, 1st meal out since pre pandemic, so the familiarity of the New Inn is comforting to me.

Very clean and friendly hotel. The bar and restaurant is spacious and the food is delicious. I’ve attached photos of my evening meal and breakfast. Well, tonight I returned for a second time and wasn’t disappointed. I can honestly say tonight I have tasted the best fish and chips ever. All I can say is wow

Food is consistently fabulous. We have eaten here several times since it opened and cannot fault it. We have a family member who is coeliac and the menu variety for her is also very good and nothing is too much trouble. Tonight I had calves liver and it was spectacular I could have eaten twice.

Very quaint cosy pub. Have visited several times over the years as a family firm favorite for birthdays. Visited in January for my Dad's birthday. Booked a table for 13.30 on Saturday, but soon found out on arrival, after a few drinks and chatting before we sat down and ordered food the kitchen closed at 1500. Which rushed us into ordering food. Limited menu and the food was very rich, both otherwise pleasant. Service good, surroundings pleasant. Will keep returning but now aware of the kitchen hours.

My second stay here and booked for another 3 nights. The Service, Rooms, Food & Drink is all of the very highest quality and excellent value too. Peaceful location but easy connections to Reading M4 or heading South. Great location. Still Very highly recommended Updated: just finished my 3 night stay. Perfect location for work and everything was as good as ever. My new home away from home. Love this place! 2nd Update: A regular guest at the hotel throughout 2023 and have just completed my first stay of 2024! It is, still excellent, in every single aspect!

Lovely one night stay for work after travelling from the North. The rooms are beautiful, and bathroom fully functional with a great, powerful shower. Beds really comfortable and warm with minimal road noise which could only be heard once awake in the morning. Breakfast was hearty and a good selection and staff very attentive. Free passwordless WiFi a bonus when no phone signal so no messing to join a network.

Popped in for lunch with a few people - great varied menu and everything we ordered was fantastic. Would definitely return
