Wow amazing cake in this lovely new café at plant centre near Hook. Can't rave enough about the cake I had and the lovely surroundings. Very beautiful. Highly recommend!

Nice semi-outdoor seating are and dog friendly too. Food nice, coffee underwhelming and service very poor. After ordering at the counter, we waited 15+mins for two coffees and brownies. Coffee arrived in small thick drinking glasses - no handles, good job it wasn't that hot! No teaspoons came with, so we asked waiter for them and he politely advised he'd bring some. After waiting for 10+mins for spoons, we went to the till area and they provided them within seconds, unfortunately one spoon was still quite dirty.

Good food let down by appallingly bad service. Whilst waiting for our food to be served we dared to ask for the water we had paid for. Whilst I appreciate working in food and hospitality can be stressful, it’s never ok to raise your voice to a customer or speak about them detrimentally within earshot. Massively uncool.

Really not much to say other than it's great! Great coffee, great toasties, great staff, and a great place to go and have breakfast at on a weekend!

Decent place for a coffee and light lunch! Good service and lovely food. It was very hot weather but it was lovely at a table shaded by gorgeous trees. Thank you!

We'd booked a table for 4 in advance & ordered our food too. Sebastian was super helpful via email & everything was ready for us when we arrived. The food was excellent as were the cakes! We spent a lovely relaxed time with 2 people we haven't had the chance to see much this year, thank you Hobo Co! I can recommend the herby cheese scones & their pizza is amazing. They're dog friendly too.

Met a friend here for a coffee and enjoyed the peace and quiet. The addition of the heating makes it much more enjoyable and they also supply blankets to use and hot water bottles should you still feel the cold. Look out for the friendly birds who pop in and say hello.

The food is all fresh and made by the owner. The coffee is excellent as are the other hot drinks. Well worth a visit even if you are not going to the garden centre. The owner caters events as well and can run a cocktail bar. He has an old style French van he uses for events - the one with the corrugated sides. (We are locals so know the place well.)

This cafe, hidden away from the madding crown within Hortus Loci in Mattingley is a delight. The coffees and sweetmeats are competitively priced and served with a smile. The homemade sausage rolls are rather special and the coffee is excellent.

Very efficient friendly helpful staff but our take-away latte and cappuccino was a let-down after being regular Costa coffee drinkers. The coffees were not very hot and the cups seemed to be half full. Sorry.

A lovely place to stop for coffee and a light bite at Hortus Loci (formerly Whitewater Garden Centre) Seating outside but undercover with heaters blankets and hot water bottles if very cold. Coffee the best in the area and chocolate brownie to die for. Hope it doesn’t expand and become commercialised!

I had been meaning to visit for some time and finally had an excuse to visit today. Overall I am very impressed. The range of savoury food on offer is small, but I'm hoping that increases as they get more popular. The quiche/tart was delicious, and I'll be trying the puff pastry twist again next time I visit. Sitting amongst the trees and plants was so peaceful, we only intended to stay for can hour but ended up spending the afternoon chatting and drinking great coffee. I'll be back again soon. Don't suppose you could stock some non-dairy milk could you?

I stumbled across this little gem whilst shopping for plants recently! The Whitewater Plant Centre has totally enhanced its services with the addition of this delightful eatery. Sebastian, the owner of Hobo.co, has created a little eden with chairs and tables situated amongst beautiful plants and trees. The food is freshly prepared on site, with wonderful cakes (some of which are vegan friendly) and a daily dish for lunch. The coffee is the best I've had in the area too! Hobo.co is most definitely worth a visit. The food is healthy and delicious; the setting idyllic; and the service friendly and welcoming.

I stumbled across this little place whilst out buying plants. What a marvellous surprise! Sebastian, the owner has created a fabulous area within the grounds of the nursery, from where he serves just the best coffee, cake and light lunches.

Popped in after a walk locally and despite a fully booked restaurant, we was accommodated in the bar area. Roast beef was spot on. Service friendly and the make over offers a very welcoming atmosphere. Thank you

The food really is poor and low quality, family of 4 ate with starters, no one enjoyed the food, they were not busy, staff not very friendly and it's hard to get their attention (it was very quiet)... it's the last time i'll order food in this place. it's soo bad. The only thing you can rely on at this pub is change, the menu changes so often but never for the better... there's no point mentioning it to anyone that works there as they just shrug their shoulders like it's not their problem.. wings, sauce options are rubbish... stop trying to be clever. lamb flat bread was awful, low quality meat, salad was brown in places. normally a burger would be a safe option, decided against this as the last time we were here it was cooked within an inch of its life and dry.. the all day breakfast was also poor (last visit).
