The best restaurants in Fareham South East

Not a bad place. The staff make up the most of it. Not too welcome when you walk in as you are confronted with a pool table. The decor is a bit run down and needs a refurb. However overall a nice experience. Not really a family place as it is a bit of a "lads" place but that wasn't a problem but maybe off putting for others.

I’ve just had a terrible experience here. My meal was completely forgotten, and when I raised the issue, the staff were rude and dismissive rather than apologetic. I admit I lost my temper out of frustration, but that was only because of how poorly the situation was handled—being ignored while the rest of my table ate was unacceptable. To make matters worse, my granddaughter was very upset by the whole situation. What should have been an enjoyable meal turned into a stressful and disappointing experience. Mistakes happen, but the lack of care and basic customer service was shocking. I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Really sad but we won’t be back 🤷‍♀️

Stopped off for a pizza snack. The service was really good and helped me get the best deal. The pizza was made fresh and when it came, it was hot and kept its heat until I got to eat it. It was very tasty with a good amount of toppings.

Food is nice but the reason why I rated it a 1star Is because hygiene rated 1/5 so me personally I'm NEVER having it Again SO DONT HAVE IT!!!!!

I have been going here for over a year now for my Chinese takeaway, and I can confidently say it’s the best Chinese takeaway I’ve ever been to. Food is always spot on, the staff are also very kind and accommodating, never been disappointed and I’ll continue to use them and recommend them. I’d be cautious that a lot of the reviews on here are about a completely different place, Jade Palace is a takeaway, not an eat in restaurant.

My boyfriend and I were meeting some friends for lunch, we opted for Whiteley because it was halfway driving time for us. I have been to a couple of Frankie & Bennys before, one in Gunwharf and one in Newquay and picked here because they generally do good food. It also was a change from the usual chains. I booked a table in advance online for the 4 of us, we were all looking forward to it. It wasn't very busy and there was plenty of staff however service was very slow and frankly they didn't seem bothered by our custom. My boyfriend and friend ordered the combo for the starter, barely anything on the plate to show it was a starter, let alone a combo and it was an expensive combo. Twice we asked for the blue cheese dip to come with the starter and we had to ask again when the starters came. Our server disappeared on a break and then left to go home but didn't hand over to any of the other staff so it was really tricky to get anyone's attention, even at paying time. Food disappointedly was average, had to ask for Parmesan even though all four of us having pasta dishes, my Spaghetti Bolognaise lacked real depth, the lasagne looked appealing but an odd taste. We were going to have pudding, I was looking forward to it but no staff paying notice,no one asked if we wanted pudding and we waited so long, we just didn't bother with pudding and i had to go up and tell them we wanted to pay up because again no one came over. We wandered round the shops afterwards, such a shame about lunch, shame I didn't read the other reviews before booking and maybe the usual places are best sticking too.

We booked a table, with an hour and a half to spare before a party very close by. Our reservation was 10:30hrs. We arrived at 10:25, we were told that our table wasn’t ready and shown to a seating area. We were provided with coffee whilst we waited. At around 10:40hrs we were told our table was ready and we were seated. We sat and then had to summon a waiter who was clearly doing nothing else and we all ordered breakfasts with juice etc. the order was taken at around 10:45hrs. Our drinks arrived quite quickly, but nothing else. At 11:15hrs a manager came over to give us “an update on our food.” I advised her that we were due at a party by 12:00. She went away again. At 11:30hrs we asked where our meals were and we were told that other groups had been waiting for 1 1/2 hours. My wife asked if our order had been started on yet. The lady evaded the question twice, then went and checked. She came back saying, “No, the cooking hasn’t started yet.” At this point we left, with no breakfast. A dreadfully poor service, inefficient and evasive staff. They were still seating people well after we had got there. This cafe cannot cope with basic requirements- I would urge everyone to avoid it unless you have an awful lot of time for them to waste.

We were recommended to try this Indian and we’re expecting great things, unfortunately we were left disappointed, there was nothing bad about the food but equally nothing good; it was just another very average meal with nothing to entice us back.

There was great service always gets greeted with a smile and the food was excellent. Overall a great experience

Unfortunately the Mongolian lamb was dry and overcooked, very disappointed for a once a week treat, and at a cost of £12.50 I would have rather had beans on toast!

The ratings show it as 2 and a half stars I strongly disagree. I’ve Been 2 or 3 Times recently and every time I go it gets better and better I’m yet to try the pasta but the pizza and desserts are fab there is a great variety of foods and the price is amazing. Great for students. Managed to get a large pizza for £7.99 great environment very clean a lovely place to eat and relax
