A landmark within Petersfield which has consistently been excellent over the years. Perfect venue for an event. Nice food and well stocked bar with friendly staff. Historic building too

A friendly local next to the town square, which has a weekly market. Good food, seating outside, regular live music, great staff.

Attended Italian evening with several friends, pricey but included quiz and live music. Menu limited, no fish choice. Couldn’t hear the one person band, fortunately. Quiz consisted of two sheets of paper. Starter was nice, mushroom risotto stodgy, looked more like rice pudding than risotto, tiramisu tasteless. Others had lasagne which looked overcooked and dry. Several people in the restaurant sent tiramisu back hardly touched. Staff said nothing when collecting plates. When we complained the manager was dismissive and said the tiramisu was fine, no apology or anything. Two of us had the risotto though friend did not eat much of hers. We were both poorly during the night.

Excellent meal in a wonderful relaxed setting with first class service.

Couple visited on Sunday afternoon for a quick pint and peanuts. Pint of beer, large lemonade and two bags of peanuts came to £13-10p. Very overpriced! Easy to get the same elsewhere for £5 less. Will not do this again!

My favourite cafe in Petersfield! I usually get a flat white and a pain aux raisins, but the cakes are delicious if I want a treat.

Food was ok but quite expensive and surprisingly there was a service charge too. Most likely wouldn’t return.

The best place for Chinese for around

I have always been really pleased with Poppins. I have visited several times and have never had a problem. The food is delicious, and you are served very promptly. The staff are very hardworking, curtious and polite. Throughly recommended.
