I think the very traditional diner like atmosphere, attentive service and tried and trusted breakfast combo's is fantastic. Great value all inclusive breakfast. Hot buttered toast is really good. Seems to attract a real mix of locals who are not interested in fancy, over hyped cafés.

Always good food and cheerful staff. Place is clean and tables always cleared quickly. Love coming here when visiting Petersfield

Popped in for a quick bacon baguette takeaway as Poppins in other areas is lovely. Shocking experience. 2 slices of fat in my baguette, no nice bacon. Threw it in bin. Was told we only do a meal deal so was charged £6 for a baguette of 2 slices of fat, a packet of out of date! Crisps and a can of pepsi. I gave the crisps back to them. A man then went to his shop a few doors down to get me another packet of out of date crisps! Shocking place! Not even a sorry! Awful! Avoid!!!

My youngest and I come almost weekly for a coffee date. Love their coffees and pastries. Have had every single one and couldn’t pick a favourite. Always love when they re-introduce an old favourite as well. I agree that the pastries are not cheap but as a treat I’m never disappointed. Always friendly staff there as well.

Rude,rude rude. My 80 year old mum. Asked to use their toilets. She was refused. When she asked why. The so called man. Turned to the woman behind the counter. Said something in their language. Then they both looked at my mum & laughed. Disgusting

Very efficient staff. Never had a bad meal here. Very quick service and prices very reasonable.

Terrible experience. The waiter knocked a full cup of hot coffee over myself and my friend. He did not apologise, simply shouted at us to move to another table. He did replace the coffee but did not offer us any other reduction. We had to sit with wet trousers while we ate our meal. He just carried on as if nothing had happened. We will not be going there again.

Today I ordered the big breakfast as advertised on the bill board outside, the meal was only okay but both sausages looked underwhelming (not fresh) and as I've never tasted cardboard before but these sausages would have tasted the same I'm sure and all of £8.00. It's the first and last time in this place for me.

Went to Poppins for dinner with my family and it was really wonderful. The food was perfect and very well received. By far the best omelette I've ever had. Lovely, friendly staff. Spotlessly clean too! Will 100% return! Thank you

We enjoyed our meal. Simple but nice. Food is jot. The place is always clean. Only the tiniest criticism I would have preferred the cheese on my toasted sandwich to be melted more. Decent portions. Love it.

Haven't visited for a while but the staff remembered us and our coffee order. Food was promptly ordered and delivered. As usual, food was up to the expected high standards and the whole cafe was clean and tidy

All round value for money great food

Was in Petersfield to get my car valeted and decided to have a look around the shops, after all it was a lovely day. After looking in numerous shops we were ready for something to eat and decided to poppin (pardon the pun) for lunch as the smell wafting down the street pulled us in. I had an all day breakfast and my other half had an omelette both with coffee. The food was great and the place was really clean. The gentleman who took our order was so friendly and welcoming, no sooner had we placed our order the coffee arrived within minutes and the food shortly after. Will definitely be going back the next time we are in town.

Nice hot breakfast but sausages disgusting

A nice and friendly local eatery, with a decent menu and a great price point. We stumped for the ‘Inclusive Breakfast’, which included a coffee/tea and a side of toast (Two of us dined for less than £18). The service was very polite and friendly, plus the coffee and food was delivered hot to the table. Nothing lukewarm here. I would recommend for families as well, their child friendly menu looked very reasonable too. We will be sure to return.

Sad to see negative reviews on such a little gem. of a business. I happily go well out of my way to go here as often as I can make an excuse. Excellent pastries and bread always. It is an artisan style venue and you get exactly that. Coffee a little strong for my liking, but that is entirely something of personal taste and not something anyone should criticise them for as I'm fairly confident they would knock it down a notch if asked because they are customer oriented. Methinks on a cold day like today another visit is in store.

Ignore the poor reviews…. great coffee and excellent service… After my second visit of ordering a flat white and a tap water.. ever since, asked if I would like my usual. Warm, friendly and generally a lovely place.

Coffee was pretty strong which is good but were slightly let down by the sweet treats we bought eg mince pies which were underwhelming and overpriced.

I drove past Petersfield couple days ago and decide to have a breakfast there. I went to Poppins and I can say was lovely place, absolutely very , very clean place . I really enjoyed my breakfast and I recommend that place for everyone who wants to have a great time with lovely food in 7🌟 hygiene place. Thanks guys definitely I'll be back soon.

Reminds me a little of an old fashioned transport cafe but the food and service were excellent and the value for money is second to none. Highly recommend it

What a fantastic, happy place to grab a bite to eat. The staff were really friendly, helpful and the service was extremely professional. The food was good quality, well prepared and presented. I couldn't recommend this place more.

Really clean and well looked after. We popped in for a quick bite to eat and were made very welcome by the staff. It's also bigger than we expected, which made it easier with a pushchair and there's baby changing facilities too. All in all it was good value, simple and with a nice atmosphere.

One of the men who I assume was a manager was very rude to one of his young staff members 🙄 and he was shouting and hurrying us too order not a man at all

No nonsense, clean and tidy cafe. Excellent choice of baguettes and meals at reasonable prices. Quick and courteous service, clean toilets and plenty of seating. 4 meals and drinks £33. Visited on a Saturday afternoon and wasn't too busy. Recommended.

Manager off the restaurant had a meltdown, screamed at the top of his voice for customer to leave. Also threw a mug across the restaurant that shattered all over the floor. There were children in seats near to where the mug impacted.

Very average cafe, food wast bad but wasn't exactly cheap the portion sizes was also fairly small. Plenty of other local places that have far better food.

Experienced the worst customer service ever on our visit to the Petersfield chain today at around 11 am. The server was the rudest person I've ever met and should NOT be working in a customer service environment. He was rude to my wife and said about 6 times that WE had ordered incorrectly, when in fact, he was the one who took our order wrong. He shouted at us and did not back down, scaring other customers who eventually left saying they were never coming back. Anyone who witnessed the terrible behaviour has commented they won't be coming back, and obviously neither are we. Sadly this one individual has ruined our day, and that location for the other staff who were polite, helpful and apologetic for his behaviour. This went on the entire visit we were there and made it awkward and uncomfortable for us. He was staring at my wife angrily on numerous occasions, never apologised and pointed the finger at us on a variety of times. Absolutely appalling service. This individual should be disappointed in himself and if he was the manager, even more so. If he was having a bad day with personal issues going on in his life, that is still not an excuse to treat others the way he did. Hopefully that was just a one off for this location, but we won't be going back.

The food and service is always excellent..

For good simple food at affordable prices. Like Wimpy used to be. Could do with less emphasis on breakfasts and a wider choice.

It was a long time ago due to covid that I had visited but staff were very friendly and helpful. They also very much on top with the cleaning as they always have been. I enjoyed my visit very much.

Jobsworth staff wouldn't even allow a toddler to use their toilet. "Customers only". Keep it up and you'll have no customers!

Lovely light & airey restaurant. Staff very friendly & welcoming. The menu reminded me very much of holidays abroad as it has photos of all the foods available. We only had tea, coffee, apple pie & cream & chocolate fudge cake & cream. The latte was really nice & not bitter. The pie & the cake were both served warm with cream. We could see other people's main meals which looked really nice & good sized portions. If I'm in Petersfield again I would certainly visit here again.
