Love Ruby and Monty’s, have been a number of times over the years for breakfast lunch and dinner and couldn’t recommend enough. Anytime I go to Petersfield, I always want to eat there. Food is lovely and service is great! Definitely recommend the breakfast and the pizza!

Very average ! £10.50 for omelette and salad which was only lettuce , awful dressing on it , way too sweet . My omelette was average nothing to write home about. Massive chunks of what I think was ham, extra service charge no wonder it wasn’t very busy. First and last time I will be going there. Honestly don’t go

Family birthday lunch on a weekday. Lovely old building with fireplaces, used to be a library and a printers. Great choice of food for vegetarians as well as meat-eaters with breakfasts/brunch served until 4. We could see the chefs preparing our food. Very efficient, friendly service. Food excellent.

Please be aware that they add a "discretionary" 10% service charge thar we didn't see on the menu ( it may be there but we didn't see it) Food was very good though.

This is the best authentic Italian food we've had in England. Fresh cooked, lovely flavour and good sized portions.

We had a wonderful breakfast here, with the full English being delicious, and the waffle with syrup was amazing, according to my 12 year old son.

Breakfast at this pizzeria started with a nice welcome. Good service from pleasant staff serving a nicely cooked, full breakfast. Pleasant atmosphere with 70's background music not overbearing. All in all worth a visit and I will be returning to try their pizza too.

Yesterday (06.06.2024) I had a pleasure to eat dinner in this restaurant. The food was incredible, Sea Bass is simply fantastic and the king prawn Tagliatelle pasta was one of the best in my life. The garden is very cozy, the service is perfectly nice and I will definitely come back with my whole family more than once and recommend it to everyone! I have been to many restaurants in Petersfield, but this one has no competition!

We've been here a couple of times and whether for coffee or lunch it's been lovely. The sun room and garden are very nice and welcoming. We love that we can bring our dog here as well. Food is good value for money and they have a good drinks menu too.

Dropped in for brunch while visiting the area after it was recommended to us by a local taxi driver. No complaints at all; service was prompt and good arrived quickly. Food looked lovely and tasted great. Didn’t try the cocktails but what was on the menu looked fab.

The atmosphere was lovely, this time I was with a group but I would happily dine on my own here. The table was nicely laid out for us with olives, bread, olive oils and bottles of cold water. The olives were gorgeous, the house red was really nice not too heavy. I had the Four Seasons pizza, I enjoyed the toppings and the taste of the base but the base was a little bit too crispy in places for me. The cocktail I had was really good abit pricey but it was good. Would I go again, yes if the 2 for 1 offer on the main courses was still running.

Our first time in here, they were very friendly, lovely with our children and even swapped our sons food as we forgot to mention he has a dairy allergy and didnt even think what he ordered would contain dairy so they replaced his food no questions asked. The food was lovely, we will definitely be back.

Superfood salad was without quinoa, although the menu said that the salad was made with quinoa. Half of the pizza was peppered which is strange. Some positions like Caesar salad were not there at all. The service is terrible. The girls chat and sing more with each other than serve customers. The interior is cool and the beer is fresh. Shrimps in batter are tasty, not dry.

Popped in on Sunday for a late breakfast. The service was impeccable. Price was on point and the food was delicious.

How disappointing. Arrived to be told that no pizza available. Then when the order came to be taken there was no gnocchi or mushrooms either. As two of our party are vegetarian this left us with almost no choice. We all had 'superfood salad'. Which while tasty, relied on dressing for the flavour. Tiny amounts of beetroot and sweet potato, no quinoa at all. Unfortunately, the service did not make up for the poor food. Despite being nearly empty and at least three waiting staff, we had to ask to place our order. While our plates were cleared promptly, no one came to offer drinks or deserts. Again, after a good half an hour of waiting, we had to ask for drinks. The only redeeming feature was a two for one offer, which was rather off set by the automatic addition of 12.5% service charge. We won't be back.

Menu was limited but tasty. Portion size could have been better. Clean and friendly.

It was a shame the pizza oven was not working but that could not be helped, so hence why low atmosphere score as not many people in. The evening was saved by a very caring and helpful waitress who was invested in trying to help with my wife's dietary issue. Unlike her boss who just gave the impression my wife was a pain and could not be bothered to talk with the chef. Given fact we were customers when pizza oven not working I thought she would have been more accomodating. Like I say more interested in her cup of tea than us. The waitress was v helpful as I said and really saved the night as we were meeting friends not seen for ages so having to go and find another place to eat at short notice would not have been that easy with my wife's dietary issue. I would have scored lower given the attitude but the food cooked by chef was lovely and service was attentive. I shall try again when oven up and hopefully all will be good

Nice atmosphere if a little chilly and staff pleasantly attentive. Mac ‘n’ cheese disappointing, fairly dry and not at all creamy. Served with garlic bread which was cut in a decorative way but far too small a portion and a salad garnish would be more generous than the sauce container of onion crumbs. Chilli Jacket potato was fine. Service charge came as a surprise !

Venue Convenient location in central Petersfield with plenty of parking nearby. Dog friendly. Service We received a good, welcoming service on a cold winter's morning. Food & Drink Food was good, well made. Overall A good spot for brunch.

We went for breakfast yesterday, really great atmosphere clean well presented staff are friendly one of the only dog friendly places to eat in town. Quality of food was great, portion size was excellent, drinks served well and reasonably priced. Definitely agree with a service charge, really worth it will visit again!

Really disappointing. Ordered the 'sophisticated' billed as vegan and gf: vegan mozzarella, courgette, roasted mushrooms and finished with basil. (£13.95) which actually only came with a pitiful thin slice of courgette, no basil, no mushrooms. When I asked they said the mushrooms had been cooked in butter. It's their menu! They could have at least let us know when we ordered, and how hard is it to cook a couple of mushrooms up? The veganella was meant to be aubergine and finished with basil. Instead it had large clumps of oily thyme which was quite nasty and I nearly chocked on a larger stem . Both pizzas were greasy, full of oil and very sickly. Neither tasted great. Not convinced it was gluten free as had to pull over on the way home to vomit. But that also could have been the amount of oil. Over all really disappointing and even with their 2 for 1 meal offer (but add in very over priced drinks and added service charge), you'd be better off buying a supermarket pizza.

All pizzas can be gf but they are smaller than the standard versions although the same price. Atmosphere would have been great but the acoustics aren’t great and there was a very loud family next to us.

Amaaaazing. Lovely room, the team were great and so attentive and friendly.food was simply amazing . We Both had different seafood pastas and the depth of flavour and also a nice amount of mussels was wonderful. The Sangiovese is to die for. Also some pretty fine tunes were playing .if I lived closer would go here a lot . Even popped in for a coffee the next day before we drove home as the coffee was so good also.

The food was better than I expected. The staff were great, very accommodating of our 2 year old and his antics. Dropping a star because it was a little expensive.

Great place for brunch, lunch and dinners. Dog friendly and the food and produce are top notch 😋 Relaxed and cosy with lots of seating no reservations needed. Lovely polite and helpful staff too. Love it here definitely worth a visit.

Really nice place with great food and excellent staff

I travelled up from Cornwall to take my Dad and his partner out for Lunch. we booked a table and my Dad and his partner had bubble and squeak which was lovely and worth the money. I however ordered a Crispy Cod Ciabitta and was left disappointed when a FISH FINGER BRIOCHE turned up. I never complained about at the time as it would of embarrassed my Dad. If I had know you were out of said order I would of order something else at the time. I full understand running out of stock but your waitress should of said something. I would not pay £9.95 for a basic fish finger roll.

Nice varied menu. Chicken was a bit dry but overall tasty food. The younger server was friendly. One food order was wrong but issue was sorted. Manager on shift was not so warm and welcoming.

I liked Ruby and Monty's - the food (brunch) was absolutely delicious, though the service was a little slower than we might have hoped. Generally seemed popular and pleasant and I would go again.

This is a 2nd disappointing visit. 1st time there was very little filling in the calzone. But they did take it and bring a very nice fresh one. This time I tried a new pizza with red onion, supposedly morazella, chicken. But again unfortunately although the pizzas are a lovely crust, they just load them with minimum topping. In this case a half extremely slim slice (shaving) of morazella, very very thin tomato sauce and very very few very thinly sliced red onion... Come on guys put some tomato sauce, enough cheese, onion and something with flavour and seasoning wud be good. They offered to make another one which in heinsight I should have said yes, but when u r hungry u wil eat anything. Thank goodness for chilli oil and salt and pepper for some flavour! My other half had an inferno which had more flivour but wasn't hot apart from a few very thin sliced chilli's! I should have taken a photo I guess. My man had a bowl Of cereal when he got home! Please load the pizzas a bit more and season them.

I have visited Ruby & Monty's yesterday (29.08) for breakfast, following other’s people opinions and a nice instagram. The perfect place that combined a peaceful atmosphere and delicious food. The food turned out to be extremely delicious, and the service 10 out of 10, high personal culture and hospitality. The waitress was very nice, smiling, cultured and friendly, she advised me which breakfast to choose. A truly unique and charming place on the map of Petersfield, I sincerely recommend it and I will definitely come back here.

No atmosphere, rude and unhelpful waiting staff. 12.5% service charge as well - refused to pay because the experience was awful. Food was not up to scratch and the coke was flat. Awful experience and wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Ruby and Monty’s came to the rescue when Uber Eats failed and another Pizza Restaurant in Petersfield were unwilling to help. Got fantastic, Hot food at short notice. Really great place and team

Amazing small restaurant with fantastic staff the pizzas were amazing and loads of gluten free and vegan options, drinks selection is great too. Will be returning and highly recommend the place

Great service & v accommodating on a dish variation. Food was good. Prices topish for what it was. £3.70 bottle of reg coke is ludicrous. Desserts pricey as well. No wonder it was virtually empty on a Wednesday night at 730pm despite its good points

What a fantastic find. Just passing through Petersfield and after being told the usual 40 min waiting time for Josies, I stumbled across this place. Busy but not noisy and one of the best breakfasts (1300, so must be all day), I have ever had. Everything was high quality, especially the sausages. Fast pleasant service and I didn't have to wait long for the food. I would highly recommend this place.

I enjoyed a really nice meal with my wife and 2 children. Tasty Italian menu, good kids menu and portions sizes, friendly staff and delicious ice cream. We sat outside in the nice garden dining area. I'll be coming again and would recommend!

We happened on this as we were passing through Petersfield. The food was excellent - tasty, well proportioned and well priced. The staff were wonderful too, welcoming and attentive. So pleased to have found this, will definitely be stopping again next time we are in the area. Parking is easy with the large carpark behind Waitrose.

My mum and I popped in to have a bite to eat, had never been here before as we're not from the area. Other than it was a little chilly in the setting, the atmosphere seemed nice. We were seated straight away, and served drinks. The food offered and served was lovely, not only very fresh, but also cooked really well, and we're full of flavour. We will definitely visit again.

Was visiting Petersfield over the bank holiday weekend and stopped in for some breakfast. The full English was one of the best I’ve ever had. The bacon was cooked perfectly, the sausages were high quality and the scrambled eggs also perfectly done. Service was incredible. Diverse menu - surely to please.

The Best breakfast in the South by far! We had gone for the full english breakfast, was amazed at how good and clean the food was with great service. Everything was fresh and full of flavour. Well worth the price!

An absolute gem of a find! Lovely setting, Welcoming staff, great menu with something for everyone. We went lunchtime and it's the perfect brunch place to go. Food was served to perfection,delicious. Looking forward to going for the evening menu. You will not be disappointed here! First class.

We went to ruby & Monty's kitchen for an evening meal and we weren't disappointed. I ordered the garlic prawn tagliatelle and it was full of flavour and very enjoyable. The restaurant itself is very modern and quirky which is very tastefully done. The service was fantastic. They serve a good selection of beverages both alcoholic and soft and there's plenty of parking nearby. There is a good selection on the menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as lighter meals.

Amazing food and a 2 for 1 deal on mains which meant it was a really good priced meal for 2. Would recommend for italian lovers

Beautiful breakfast spot. Full of character with some with some imaginative menu options. Stunning presentation, tasted delicious and service was spot on.

First visit to this restaurant. We went for breakfast with the family. It was a very cold day and we were seated by a heater, however it did not work. The staff were great moved us and rearranged tables so we could be warm. The breakfast menu provided areally good choice. The food very nice, the only criticism is that the waffles were clearly bought in and were very sweet and not fluffy. Every thing else was freshly prepared and good quality. Would definitely go again but probably avoid the waffles

Absolutely superb, we eat here every weekend and have never had a single thing less than perfect their poached eggs are legendary. Service is wonderful we have eaten breakfasts and evening meals here and cannot fault it at all.

Good points: -delivery was fast (though thanks to Uber) -It looked good (presentation) Bad Points: - The carbonara tasted awful. Won’t order from there again

Really lovely place, staff were brilliant, nice atmosphere and decor. The food was amazing, I had the vegan pie from the day menu and it was delicious. The food came out really quickly and was reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

We just happened to be passing and thought we'd try it, and glad we did. We had brunch and a drink, the food was good and freshly cooked, the service was very good. Nice to see a few vegetarian and vegan options. I would certainly go there again. (They do add the 12.5% service charge to the bill).

Delicious chilli con carne, couldnt fault it definitely homemade and with the right amount of 'heat'. I also had a square of lemon drizzle cake. I can recommend lunch here; the ambience is pleasing and it was busy enough to create a good atmosphere. Very pleasant helpful staff - an all round good experience and a fair price 😊

I bought 1 orange juice 5 coffees 1 brownie 1 Southern fried waffle, and 1 brie and cranberry panini the panini had next to no cheese I it and staff were not very polite all this for 46 quid I won't be back

Sneaky 12.5% service charge added to bill. We went in for lunch and a cup of tea, food was good, staff were friendly, prices on the menu seemed reasonable, it was only afterwards on checking the receipt we saw the added 12.5%! I can understand restaurants adding a service charge for large groups at dinner when there's a lot of work but for lunch for 2 people? And 12.5% is extortionate. Just because in the USA they add that kind of service charge doesn't mean you should force it on us. Shame, I now shan't be returning here out of principle.

Great gluten-free pizza and pasta!

Food was okay but we waited more than 90 minutes. We were told we would need to wait 30 mins for food which we said was ok but could we have drinks while we waited. These took more than 20 minutes. The chef was loudly shouting and criticising other staff which wasn’t nice to hear.and very unprofessional. We appreciated the £20 voucher for next time we visit - although not sure if there will be a next time. I think it would have been more appropriate to have removed the service charge and given a discount there and then. Want to support this independent restaurant but seem to consistently struggle with getting food out and speed of service.

We Had a lovely brunch here and highly recommend it. The poached eggs were perfect and a great service too. We look forward to coming back and trying more!

Best breakfast in the South East!! Would highly recommend the chorizo avocado eggs. Everything was presented well and the staff were extremely attentive and friendly. The garden area at the back is also a treat. We will come back.

Easily one of if not the best place to eat in town

We sacralised going out for our anniversary meal to get a delivery from here and a cosy night in. We ordered almost £50 of food only to have all the tasted focaccia bread missing from the starters, 4 prawns on a £9 starter and they couldn’t even be bothered to pre cut the pizza so had to do this ourselves. (See image to see if you agree) I phoned the restaurant to politely express our disappointment in the order just to be told to take it up with Uber eats and they won’t do anything. I think this restaurant also run under ‘Chicken Shack’ randomly which wasn’t great either when we ordered from there. Not great at all considering the money, the food we did receive wasn’t great either. Safely say we won’t be ordering from here or chicken shack again and we recommend you don’t either.

Popped in for a bite...tried the Mexican Breakfast....loved it! 2 eggs on delicious refried beans and corn bread...will return for a repeat performance.
