This is great place to visit and enjoy with your family and friends. Lovely

I had the pasta with prawns which were delicious. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. Best coffee ever!!

Good "breakfast" food but not worth a second visit service wasn't great and when you are only one of three tables occupied and almost outnumbered by staff, you would expect better. Never been to a pub/restaurant that, when you ask for a high chair when you have two young children with you, you get directed to the rear of the building to fetch your own, when you ask for mustard, an almost empty jar with various bits of debris from previous users inside, I now see why it was almost empty.

Great local individual pub, nice atmosphere. I visit regularly for coffee when out for a ride.

Just popped in for a quick drink with friends. Beer and service were good. It was fairly quiet (as it was a Tuesday evening) so relaxed atmosphere.

Lovely meal and friendly great service. Highly recommend

Had a great visit to George Petersfield. New decor and new owners!! The outside area was lovely to sit and watch the world go by. Reminded me of being in Italy on holiday. A great stop off 👍🏻 am looking forward to going again.

We were visiting Petersfield. Someone recommended us to the George. We didn't eat but seemed a really nice place.

We only really came in to escape a shower, but stayed a little longer. Nice beer selection and really pleasant staff. Would love to come back another time and try the food when we have more time.

New management and food and beer are both excellent

Went here on a Friday night for the first time since it re-opened under new management and I have to say, I can't fault it. Staff were friendly, service was well timed and the food was excellent. Well done to the new owners, we will be returning!

Been here to eat tonight - first time since the refurb and change of owner. Great beer. Food was delicious. I had the burger and my husband had the Milanese chicken. Very yummy indeed. Not the cheapest but well worth the money. Not hideously dear either. Staff were lovely. Atmosphere a bit lacking but it was a Tuesday night so very quiet. We will go back!

Shame it closes at 3pm on a Sunday. Food was average not particularly inspiring menu..sandwiches basically. It was pretty empty and cold . Staff friendly though

Fantastic place to eat and have a drink, good selection of beers and wine on offer... *Dog Friendly* was a complete game changer for us! It's hard to find somewhere with such excellent food and service that also accommodate dogs! Would highly recommend the rissotto, best I've had outside of Italy! Will definitely be back!

I was simply asking additional questions as to why it would take longer as I didnt understand the workings of your kitchen. Whilst explaining Lydia had become obnoxious in her manner and I as a customer found this to be rude. I believe she had had other customers also frustrated with the situation but that does not mean for it to be takeen out on me. I myself am known to not be rude and would certainly not use disrespectful language so although I appreciate your response I do nor believe it to be sincere. Staff were rude, especially Lydia. We did not stay to order food. We went to the Brewery Square instead and had great service and food

I went to The George for lunch with my daughter & grandson today but was disgusted with the treatment my daughter received when she tried to order our food.She was told she had been rude because she questioned something on the menu.The waitress in question, Lydia continued to argue and said she was going to speak to her manager to help decide whether she would take our order or not.At this point we’d had enough and walked out to find a lovely pub The Brewery on the Square which had a lovely atmosphere ,delicious food and was welcoming.

Had a banging festive burger from here the other day. One of the nicest burgers I've ever tasted. The crumble was amazing too. Only drawback is that I'm married to a vege and she didn't have much choice on the menu but she enjoyed her butternut squash and beetroot tortellini. Overall fantastic. Good value. Nice tidy pub. Bar staff lovely. Will definitely return and a big thank you to the chef.

1st time eating here went with a group of friends I thought the fish was a bit dry but over all food was lovely the service we had from Andy was great very friendly and welcoming a credit to company 👍

We had an excellent Christmas Dinner. The table looked lovely and we really appreciated the santa hats! The team, Andy, Alex, Chef Rob and Frankie made sure everything ran smoothly. The turkey was very tender, delicious.

the George is a good place to go on a week day. Andy and Morgan know how to get the week day crowd going. Sometimes some good entertainment but the pub quiz back would probably welcome more guests. There is always sport on the screen and some good Bieber music on the box. All in all C rating for Morgan.

Have eaten here before but most of the food was dreadful this time!

Andy was FABULOUS, he was super helpful and I found his awkward sense of humour incredibly comforting for some reason, will definitely be back

After a hard day at the office, and then rugby. There was only one place in Petersfield to wind down and watch sport, with a nice cold beer. Andy, Morgan and the team, were as always super inviting, and friendly and helpful. The only reason we couldn’t give a 5 star review on the atmosphere, was because Morgan’s choice of Justin Bieber tracks wasn’t too our taste. Would highly recommend visiting, it’s a lovely place .

We booked a table for a dinner but when we came where quit disappeared. Most of the things from the menu weren't available. So we had a drunk and left to have dinner to a different place.

Food was good but the service wasn't, meaning our sides didn't arrive until after we had finished our main course.

Group lunch with the family today. Accepted that only the roast was available on a Sunday. Feedback on each meal served. Meals delivered based on what had been ordered were plated incorrectly. Food partially warm/cold and served with frozen Yorkshire puddings and what appeared to be ready made gravy, exceptionally salty. Based on this would regrettably be unlikely to return or recommend.

Wow wow wow, fantastic bottomless brunch!! Lauren couldn’t have done more for us, will be back soon!

Poor - limited veggie options so when this has run out only starter available

this place used to be one of the best places to go in petersfield. now new management have taken over, it’s not open from its actual opening time (10am) in fact much later, and the late nights are just spiking central !! if you want to go into the garden after midnight, drinks have to be left on a table before you go into the garden, the new staff, which i’m sure are temporary as all of the previous staff have left, were clearly just there to serve and were not nearly as accommodating and polite as the previous staff, who never failed to serve people with a smile and a chat, honestly i’ve never known a pub to go so downhill

No service two service persons one being the chef. Chips good raps not good at all. Broken toilet seat in ladies. On the whole a disaster. Will not recomend.

Nice place with friendly staff and great service

Absolutely terrible experience at the George today. We came here specifically to have lunch and watch the F1. They couldn’t get the F1 on the TV for the best part of 20 minutes so we missed the first 10 laps of the race. Then half way through the race they oust music tv on instead, only to say they were trying to put the football on. Our roast arrived stone cold so we had to send it back. Then after 10 minutes they put the F1 back on. At no point did anyone apologise. I can guarantee you we will never come back, and will let everyone know not to bother going to The George. Absolutely terrible experience.

Food was on point, flavoursome, big portions. In particular rob, lauren and Lily were so friendly, understanding and accommodating, amazing music and atmosphere, brilliant towards animals and children, 100% recommend and will definitely come back again. Such an improvement, Well done new management what a turnaround !!!!

The door staff to be retrained to be a lot less aggressive when getting people out at the end of the night that means not pushing and be polite.

Came from out of town and stumbled across this beautiful little pub on the high street. Location and general ambience were incredible and I was immediately greeted by the beautiful bar staff and the GM(?) Lauren, who was extremely helpful and recommended some cocktails that all looked amazing. I ended up going for two quay west coolers on the two for one deal (incred deal btw). I ended up having lunch there as well and ordered a cheese and bacon burger and a drink for meal deal. The value for money and quality of food was a definite 10/10 and was, again, served by some lovely members of staff. The pub itself was super clean and had a homely feel to it. Restrooms and other on site facilities were also super clean and comfortable to use. All in all I had a great experience there and would 100% make this my local if I lived here. Everyone RUN don’t walk, I can’t even gatekeep this one!!!

Popped in today for a drink as the sun was shining and we’d been told by friends the pub had a nice beer garden. Rob & Lauren served us at the bar, excellent customer service. They recommended a lovely aloe & cucumber gin for my partner, while I tried two of their strawberry daiquiri cocktails. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back!!

Our first visit to the George but we will definitely be back. A lovely atmosphere created by helpful staff (special mention for Lauren). Great food and loved watching the sport in the beer garden.

Nice pub, food is good value, staff excellent

The menu encourages you to order through the app but it doesn’t work in this pub I’ve encountered this problem several times when I’ve been to stonegate pubs where I’ve ordered through the app and then had to go to the bar to sort it. I’m sure that stonegate can see this and they really need to sort this issue out as it’s frustrating to me as a customer and you shouldn’t be advertising it until you’ve worked out all the bugs. In this case the staff were understanding and sorted it promptly and apologised to me which I appreciated. A suggestion might be that you cover up the QR codes on the menu and remove any advertising that advises to use the app.

Popped in here this morning for a breakfast. We saw the blackboard outside saying the place was dog friendly so that worked well seeing as we had 3 dogs with us. We ordered our food and the lady came over with some water for the dogs and some dog biscuits. She was very friendly and clearly genuinely welcomed both people and their canine companions. I had a vegetarian breakfast and pot of tea. We also ordered traditional breakfasts and smashed avocado. I am extremely fussy with my food but I ate everything on my plate. It left me nice and full and was a very large portion size. I noticed there was a shelf of colouring and games for people to use and children had taken some of the games to play as they entered the venue. It was more like a cosy restaurant to me, rather than a pub. It had a bar but the seating was plush and comfy and there were scatter cushions around. I would definitely return to this venue.

Darren was very supportive as I am a 100% a Wheelchair user & all the Staff Exellent service. Good Accessible Toilet & internal access.

Sunday breakfast run with the scooters. About 17 of us descend on the George with about 1/2 an hour's notice ! The girls run around looking after us and we had a lovely well cooked breakfast , they even did me fried bread on request ! Nice pub on the square at Petersfield so will be back again soon.

Had a lovely time at The George last week. The food was amazing - fantastic value and came out piping hot 👌🏼 we were welcomed by the staff as soon as we entered, who were friendly and attentive throughout our visit - couldn’t fault them at all. The new management have done an awesome job of turning things around at The George and I look forward to my next visit very soon.

Lovely little pub centred in the Petersfield Square. Incredibly friendly staff, delicious meals (especially their roasts) and a lot of enjoyment on a weekend day out. Friday and Saturday nights here is the place to be! X

Lovely Mothers Day lunch today at The George, Petersfield. A warm reception and friendly, timely, service despite being one of the busiest days of the year. Dog friendly too. The food was delicious and whilst one or two options were no longer available (we were the last lunch sitting), alternatives were offered. The portion sizes were not overwhelming which was good for the lighter eaters in our party but unlimited top ups (of certain items) were available for anyone wanting more. The overall ambience was very pleasant and to round off a lovely experience, the Mothers were given small gifts to take away. There was even a treat for the dog! All in all, very enjoyable and excellent value for money. Will be eating there more.

The new management and the team have really turned this place around. It was delightful to be welcomed so warmly and our sunday lunch was delicious. Safe to say it is now our go to for a pint or bite to eat.

Best Sunday Roast in Petersfield!

Amazing how much new management can change a business. A new fresh lease of life has made this traditional pub the perfect place for me to take the dog for a pint after a walk!!

Having worked as a barman myself I appreciate the extra effort it takes to deliver premium service whilst managing a busy bar and solving problems. James' customer service and conscientious demeanour was surpassed only by his selfless desire to make sure we were catered for in every way possible

A great atmosphere more like a club on a Friday and Saturday with a DJ. Lots of dancing and games. Fabulous place to have fun. Nicer atmosphere than your typical pub/club. Friendly staff. Great music and chilled atmosphere during the week so isn’t silence and awkwardness

Lovely staff and good pint. The beer garden is nice and heated which is definitely a plus in the winter and midseason.

Well surprised or should I be with this ressesion as some businesses are cutting back on quality bad move cause when things get better you may already have lost to much money after customers not returning will cause bigger problems in long term 6 months ago food 9-10 now only. 4-10 I will book somewhere else next time
