Caffè Nero in East Hampshire

Had an Americano and very tasty vegan flapjack.

Cafe Nero is my place to go for good coffee, the staff there are fantastic until a recent visit where my partner was made very ill from an allergy to dairy… caused my lady to be violently sick because a trainee failed to do her job At the time of the massive cockup two trainees was left unattended while the shift leader was on lunch The staff there are indeed very nice and are generally good people, my problem is not with the people but with the company, the company Nero are cutting staff hours, under paying the staff, and giving staff high targets, which is leading to a extremely high number of staff turnover. On top this because of cafe Nero cutting hours and with the increase staff turnover this has led to a situation in which caused a untrained staff member to cause my partner to have a serious allergic reaction. the trained staff are needing to have break. They deserve it but because of the high turnover of staff this isn’t the case When you got 4 new staff and 3 trainee staff getting that ratio correct is hard!!! If the company looks after the staff you will keep them And just to make it very clear… IF I WAS SOMEONE ELSE…… IF THIS ALLERGIC WAS EVEN MORE SEVERE!! (DEATH) That trainee and the company could have been liable for being sued!!! That was a warning shot get it together look after your staff and problems like this would be at a lower risk

I visit Cafe Nero in Petersfield several times a week. It is in a great location overlooking the market square. Over recent months service is getting slower and inconsistent each time. Sometimes there is only one person serving and marking the drinks while everybody waits. Today cups were left on three of the outside tables with flies buzzing around. What this store really needs is a Starbucks to open next door and see how it fairs.

Helpful staff, good coffee, but standing in a long queue for 20 minutes will drive me out to a restaurant down the road where you can order an equally good coffee, with no queue, take your seat and have your coffee brought to you. Just my preference

Coffee only. Excellent location to sit and chill and watch Petersfield go by.... Good service, polite, friendly etc. I enjoyed my visit and would definitely use again.

Walls are dirty, photo frames look like they have been wiped with a dirty cloth. Staff stressed so service not brilliant. Sad plastic plant says it all. Mould on ceiling and webs on frames

We don't visit Petersfield very often, and we didn't realise that there is a Nero's. Now that we know there is we will visit often. However, I'm not a dog lover, and I do wish that Nero's would have a dog area where possible.

Good coffee, especially their summer Brazil offering. Nice to have a view onto The Square

What a horrendous place. Depressing atmosphere staff working there butt's off.trying to take 3 peoples order's at once instead of working on one person at once. I had a tea which was not nice the saving grace was the cake order. The general untidiness of the place, I certainly will not be going there again I would rate lower however the rating will only go to one star

This is lovely Caffe Nero right on Petersfield Market Square area in Petersfield Hampshire with super staff , restful ambience and smooth coffee blends. It's a great way to spend 30 minutes before work esp on a rainy day

Could be a nice place but all these coffee shop chains it's all about maximising profit and not putting enough staff on duty. Tables are messy, not swept up floor, long queues waiting to be served. Such a shame!!!!!

Paid good money for a cup of froth. Make sure they top it up with milk. Also waited 10 minutes with next to no queue. They were trainees, in their defence.

One person serving, and the long slow queue was invisible to the other staff who are chatting and messing about restocking nearly full shelves and replenishing abundant cup supplies. Priorities?? Thought a long queue of customers might be higher?

As with all barrista trains staff seem only to use only part of coffee machine making it slower than it could be,also only two staff working at the time,lady in front of me got served twice for 1 coffee ,so they ended up with 2 coffees no wonder things are slow!!!

I don’t normally write reviews but the customer service was so poor and rude so not planning on visiting again.

I love coming here when I need some quiet time.

Went in on a beautiful Sunday morning during the market only to find that they are not serving any tea or coffee. Signage was also terrible just a hand written note on the door. Food was still being served though and the environment was still quite pleasant so will be back to try again hopefully with a drink this time.

Food is amazing! However the hygiene is really revolting, it’s very dirty: the seats, the floor, the windows, cobwebs everywhere, gum on the walls, dust everywhere, on the tables and the sofas. It’s like they have never cleaned it!

Staff kept things pleasant during a busy time. I do recommend the Brazilian coffee option.

Very disappointed, not up to the standard expected from Caffè Nero. Very slow service, coffee wasn't up to scratch even the food was mediocre, with a poor selection. I would like to think we just caught them at a bad time ..compared with the excellent service at East Street Chichester.

This is a nice friendly Neros, unlike my old favourite Neros in Frith St London which is a sorry option since new management took over

The service here was exemplary, making you feel welcome and looked after. My only reason for the 4 star instead of 5 is because it's a chain, and I prefer to support smaller local businesses

Same as all the other Caffe Nero's nice coffee, resent paying extra for non dairy milk.

Always great service and drinks when I go to a Nero. This one had a smaller seating area available. The downstairs area seemed to be shut off.

For a cafe Nero, this is one of the nicest. That being said, it is a cafe Nero. That being said it isn't Costa, all my homies hate Costa. food and drinks were nice, nice atmosphere and clean venue

Good service but £2.30 for a tea bag, hot water and some milk????? Not too sure how long the tea bag had been kicking about. Not £2.30 worth anyway. Too busy to raise to the staff. Just will use other (cheaper) options next time.

Nice coffee with sunny frontage in the june afternoon, watched hilarious parking antics in Petersfield with my sister, the girl behind counter was amusing and engaging (short blonde hair) and forgave me when i tried to use my C@sta coffee app.. Sorry! :-)

Friendly helpful staff... lots of lovely cakes and pastries but you can't get both milk and gluten free, unless you have the prepacked very small dry brownies that a lot of places seem to sell

Paul, at Caffe Nero, Petersfield, cannot do enough for customers. He has a real work ethic, totally organised and efficient. Manager material, most definitely. This cafe is busy, has a lively atmosphere, coffee and food excellent and friendly staff. Always a pleasure and a treat to visit in gorgeous Square.

Always good coffee here. Went to the trouble of downloading the app before my purchase only to find out the WiFi wasn't working properly. Was told that my stamps would show up later (they never did).

Enjoyed a flat white and a slice of cake! Good location if you can find a parking space in the market Square, otherwise its a short walk from the main car park. Food and drink as expected, reasonable value and range. The staff happily corrected one of the drinks that was not made to order. Personally, I prefer Nero to Costa, the coffee is slightly stronger at Nero's.

Rating based on Uber App order. Ordered on the Uber eats app - first time using. Tracking said the delivery person was on their way. The estimated delivery time kept changing. It got close to the estimated delivery time and the order was cancelled by Caffè Nero. Usually the coffee is lovely but on this occasion no order. Otherwise, I would recommend in store.

I am shocked! Having frequented many Neros this was just odd by comparison! My son always has the strawberry shake which excells in comparison to all other milkshakes. However it was as though this was from a different planet! They even made it a second time! My vegan saisage roll was not heated, as usual it was completely squashed in a toaster, the same way a toastie would be! Finally, cold food! As I was told they needed to complete another order before they delivered mine! It sat there with the flies circling! My 8 year old commented on how it was not hot! I do not understand how different a Neros can be! Such worlds apart! theydelivered it! Therefore it was sitting tgere (with all the flies circling

Wish there was an independent café here instead of a chain, but it's ok. The traffic barriers in front of it are not good though.

Very helpful lady behind the counter. Courteous and efficient. Coffee was fine and transaction smooth. Only fault, no reciept provided for payment.

It was ok as usual for Nero but service was a bit slow and their microwave wasn't working.

Doing the best they can considering the circumstances. Only a few tables inside and seating outside. Disabled toilet for everyone. Still getting to grips with the current situation but feel they will improve. Staff quite friendly.

Not very good as gentleman didn't listen to what I asked for. I had my own cup asked for a regular latte with caramel he asked 3 times if I wanted it in the cup (not sure where else I'd have it?). He put the transaction through as a large. I also had a manual stamp card to transfer onto the app, I'd heard Nero are encouraging people to use the app. So I thought I'd give it a go. I had already told him I'd like to pay separately but Instead he took the stamped card and processed as payment through the till. When I pointed out his error he said there's nothing I can do now. To make things even worse once the coffee settled the cup was a only 2/3 full. Considering he put it in the till as a large and it wasn't even the size of a regular to say I'm unhappy is an understatement.

A cozy & relaxing little cafe that is ideally situated close to the town centre with limited parking around the Square just outside, there is indoor & outdoor seating plus they sell a wide range of hot & cold beverages as well as cakes & limited hot snacks. I was served by a really nice welcoming member of staff who made my mocha to perfection AND it was hot, unlike my previous visits which is why I have avoided the place for almost 3yrs, a great place to warm up, or cool down depending on the season in this very stunning area.

Great coffeeshop just off the busy beaten (shoppers) track so-to-speak, so there's a lovely sense of it being far from the madding crowd. Also, it faces onto the gorgeously quaint and historic Petersfield Square at the heart of the town. Have been enjoying this coffeehouse for three years and never once have I experienced anything but kindness and grace from the folks behind the counter. Great quality WiFi and the perfect place to enjoy a beverage and book while the sometimes crazy world rushes by.

I like caffe Nero as spent a lot of time in Italy. but don't like the prices come on nearly £4 pound for sandwiche

The best coffee in Petersfield and has become a must do for us on Sunday mornings. Unfortunately the recent over powering smell of dogs as you enter the cafe and the often slow service takes the edge off what used to be a pleasant experience.

Good service. Much quicker than other large chain coffee shop in Petersfield. It's also great that there are books at the back of the cafe. Helps keep kids entertained while you finish your drink. It's often busy.

Probably one of my favorite coffee houses. Not very often have I had a bad experience or a bad coffee.

Very friendly & relaxing atmosphere

Always good coffee here, however the service can be patchy, and the clearing of dirty cups and plates doesn't always seem to be a priority. This cafe given its location is really popular, so finding a table at peak times can be a challenge. There's a selection of cakes and biscuits which sell out quickly, so choice can be limited. There is wheelchair access but the access space isn't great and it's limited around the serving area. Staff are friendly, but they seem to change every time I visit.
