The best restaurants in Dover South East

Excellent visit to the eight bells, food excellent, fast service, good beers, excellent value, what is there not to like about J D Wetherspoons ..........

My partner and i decided to choose this restaurant as our usual one was closed. The food was good value for money at buy one get one free. However i ordered a deep pain and got a thin crust. I also ordered a veggie pizza and a piece of pepporani was in the box (luckily not on the pizza). The pizza was sliced inconsistently as well. Overall it was a okay pizza but will not choose them again or recommend to use.

Just a regular Costa Coffee but spacious. It is located by the town Square. The coffee shop was quiet and has a lot seats.

Absolutely stunning food ! I've ordered a selection of different dishes over the last few weeks lol. Aromatic duck =succulent , will shred for you. Squid with salt & chilli = beautiful light fluffy & crisp tempura coating with very generous fat tasty squid inside . Dim sum out of this world ! Chicken satay is moist & tasty Beef in blackbean sauce stunning flavour Any noddle dish just perfect . Ive just moved to the area and I'm very very happy to find such amazing food . Don't be fooled by the lack of curb appeal. This chinese has super quality fresh tasty food cooked to perfection . Thanks ardent ave

After not having a pizza from here for years id thought I'd try it out again. Pizza was lovely and the Garlic, herb and cheese stuffed crust can't be beaten, best I've ever had by far! The only reason it's getting 4 stars is because the chicken wings and onion rings weren't the best. Felt like the chicken wings would be far better if they were cooked a little longer to crisp them off a bit, coating was soggy. Service was great and quick delivery. Will use again.

After a long 12 hours driving, decided to meet my girlfriend at a hotel for a relaxed night before getting another ferry early in the morning. Decided to ordered a dominos, after the latest delivery time and still no pizza. I call the restaurant, to be told it was my fault because they came and called and I apparently didn’t answer. I had zero missed calls, they never updated the tracking app (still says ‘being prepped) and they didn’t even bother to go into reception after I gave my full name and room number. After arguing with the woman on the phone she passed me onto their cocky driver who put the phone down on me. After over 1.5 hours of this ordeal we had to go and drive to get a McDonalds. Last time I’ll be choosing dominos

Great food, service was amazing and all done with a smile, lovely pub and great selection of beer and ales from local breweries which I’d not tried before. Log fire was lovely and warm too. We will be back very soon. 5 stars.

Cafe was busy & nearly all the tables were occupied but service was quick despite it being busy, we had a hot sausage roll, crisps followed by a caramel blondie & iced coffee. Not the cheapest cafe but understand why they have to price items like this. I would like to see more cooked meals like spaghetti bolognaise, Sunday roasts, fish & chips & maybe curry dishes but still the menu is good enough.

They don't have a menu on the display so had to look through the leaflet that they had, entire restaurant needs cleaning, I ordered my food waiting for my food I saw this man who does the food delivary, he went into the restaurant opened up the cabinet where they had the cooked chicken and wings grabbed a chicken and started eating it,

I've been a loyal customer of Super Pizza for quite some time now, and I can't praise their delivery timing enough. It's consistently impressive, making my ordering experience seamless. The quality of their food is always top-notch, and what sets them apart is the variety they offer. Super Pizza has truly mastered the art of delivering both speed and taste!

I am glad there is a Starbucks in Deal. However... I came in at 4pm and they had already started putting up chairs -- an hour before closing! This made it impossible for anyone else coming in to sit down, and also makes a very uncomfortable feel for anyone who is already there. It feels like they are encouraging you to leave in a not very subtle manner. Then someone went around spraying cleaner into the air while cleaning tables. Someone was spraying the cleaning chemicals right next to me. Not good at all. Many people are alergic to this stuff. Isn't the proper way to do this to spray it on the cloth and then wipe the table with the cloth? Also, a minor point perhaps, but they shut the place at 5pm when the official closing time is listed as 5:30 pm on the Starbucks website. I may be wrong about this but I had the general impression that some members of staff don't have much of a friendly attitude and probably don't enjoy working there. Could you please hire staff who actually enjoy the job and have a friendly attitude? I really hope that some of these issues get addressed.

Impromptu mid week lunch and so glad we went to The Fox. Excellent food and service with the added bonus of view out to sea. We chose Tapas, squid, chilli garlic prawns, cheese and ham croquettes and Serrano ham, fig and walnut bruschetta. Ordered mozzarella and garlic bread that was yummy too. Pudding, lemon posset with fruit. Can’t fault the food at all. Service with a smile. Really unexpected quality for the cost. Can’t recommend enough. 🦊 ❤️

Lovely, friendly staff, delicious Tiramisu Cream Iced Whipped Latte, as a treat, but always superb coffee... We do normally try and support local independent coffee shops, but the one we would normal go to was closed today...

This was our second visit here for lunch after a really good experience in January. The inn has two eating areas and the one by the bar is the cosier of the two. The service is very good, with genuine smiles and a wish that you enjoy your meal. The food quality is good too overall. On our first visit we had the Korean prawns which were really good but sadly no longer on the menu. We opted this time for the burger and the Frito Misto. The burger was really well done and came with a delicate coleslaw and small salad. The Misto was a selection of panko prawns, squid, scampi and cod goujons; both had a portion of what I call ‘filler chips’ but you often get that at lunch. The menu does lack a variety of sides; its basically chips done different ways. The wine list is decent though and well priced. We realised afterwards we got caught out on the coffee. We asked for double expresso’s and received simply a doubled up single expresso. At £6 a cup that’s twice what you’d pay in London. Would we come back? Sadly no there are better in nearby Ickham and Wingham but plenty do looking at the reserved tables.

Such a lovely experience from the moment we walked in through the door! The staff were so accommodating and the food was very, very nice! So just before our Roast dinner arrived, the manager came out to say theres been a problem with the cauliflower and it isn't to their normal standard, so they are going to give us an additional bowl of vegetables (including the very tasty roasties!!). We really respected this - we fully understand that things can go wrong at times - but to be apply to offer an alternative was GREAT! We would definitely come here again.
