Judging by the amount of fingerprints on the glass doors of this property it looked not to have ben cleaned for weeks. The interior door mat was clogged with leaves and bird fluff and a medium sized dog was seated on the leather padded seats at the entrance. We surveyed the scene and quickly escaped.

Ethan was as helpful and obliging as ever. Just needed to mention 'Stan', as his badge said in training. They were one coffee machine down, and had a queue. His customer service remained excellent, even when people were asking where their drinks were. Definitely a keeper.

I don’t normally write reviews however I came in today for a coffee and was very impressed with the staff. They were busy due to it being a lunch time and unfortunately only had one coffee machine working. The person making the coffees was in training but worked well under the pressure and was supported by fellow staff. Well done to him!

A quick coffee and a bickie in starbucks I have not used before. Relativley clean and tidy ,with a few abandoned cups in places , but nothing offensive like some we have visited. Service was pleasant and coffee was as you would expect it, as were the bickies. On the whole a pleasurable experience

There are plenty of tables so you do not feel that you have to rush. It is dog friendly. Their fruit bread is very tasty and good value.

Absolutely astonished and disgusted as when my friend and I went into Starbucks to have a nice lemon cake and crisps for lunch we were told to put our drink in the bin or leave by the staff as it wasn’t from Starbucks. The drink had no logos on it and wasn’t advertising any other companies at all. After all, it wasn’t like we sat there and didn’t buy anything we spent our own money there for lunch and was ushered out just because one of us had a drink in a bottle?? The staff here clearly put profit over the customers. This is not the only occasion staff has been rude like this. I had once ordered a matcha frappe and was given a chocolate frappe by mistake ( Ofc it was not a problem since mistakes happen however the member of staff refused to believe I made the mistake and was really rude when I said I didn’t say that.) she then went on to say that I made the mistake and that if I wanted to change my mind when ordering I should say so before. I felt so taken back to be accused of her mistake? Firstly I am unable to drink anything containing chocolate as the cocoa makes me react. It was a terrible experience which both times SUPRISE me as Starbucks in Canterbury and Ashford are brilliant. This is definitely something wrong with management and staff training in Deal. Would be best for a new manager or new state of mind when dealing with customers…

I go to this branch regularly every Sunday with my younger son . It has to be said the staff in here are so polite . Helpful and very friendly. It a happy atmosphere. The girls and the younger lad Ethan have impeccable manners. Thank you for always making our visits happy 😊

Sitting in Starbucks in deal, never experienced bitter coffee before in a Starbucks before, but have to say coffee is not good. Obviously machine heads not being cleaned often enough, toilets are horrendous, all the floor is wet & it's not water. Everything going rusty in there aswell. Generally the place looks tired and needs a good clean.

Eight people were ahead of me, two serving so my coffee came after 11 minutes. The number queuing varied but just two staff were continuously busy and table cleaning and disinfecting not observed. Service friendly to humans and dogs, but the interior is somewhat dark and cavernous. A choice of pastries and muffins, toasties etc which staff select for you. One unisex toilet, and pre covid this cafe did not have newspapers, nor do their competitors now, one being directly opposite. .

Went in today to meet 83 year old mother to find a large group of boys on the next table literally bumping into her. nobody social distancing and they werent wearing masks. costa opposite make sure customers are sat apart so why cant starbucks? a classic example of profits before people. left drink on table and left.

Went into Starbucks for a hot chocolate and cake with a friend yesterday. As I had my dog with me I knew I could take him in there . Sat at a table but had to move as the long seats by the wall were covered in crumbs of some sort . Whilst drinking I noticed several people leaving and others arriving and not once were any tables or chairs wiped clean in the 40 mins we were there . Most customers put their own rubbish in the bin , tables were left dirty for new customers . Will not be going in there again! So much for COVID clean ! Glad I had my hand sanitiser with me

A nice warm coffee which made the whole family happy after a walk on the beach in the morning . The staff were friendly which made the whole experience much better. Would recommend if your in need of a nice warm coffee

We visited Deal on Saturday, 28th December and after walking along the beach went into the town. We went first to Costa but it looked like a dive. Dirty place and feel to it with no seating available. Went to Starbucks and what a difference we had. Warm, welcoming staff in a clean and bright environment. Seating available and also loads of seating options. Coffee service was quick and cakes tasted good too. Will definitely tell more friends about them. Only suggestion would be to improve toilets and introduce a loyalty card system.

It's your typical chain; cool and well spaced. Great coffee and brilliant Chai Lattes. Served quickly and efficiently. Love the massive mugs. It's a big place and it would be nice if they could open their doors to a weekly musician or book club?

Wasn't a fan when this first opened, but it's grown on me because of the tea and the lovely staff. Plus I bumped into Louis Theroux in here, and if it's good enough for Louis.........

One of the better Starbucks I have visited. We visited early each morning of the weekend and it was relatively quiet. Served with civility and friendly welcome.

I found this to be the friendliest Starbucks I have ever visited in the UK and highly recommend that you visit. The staff are really friendly, efficient and professional, going that extra mile to make you welcome and relaxed.

Coffee and a chat with a good friend ended up watching the seagul who was trying to get in the front door and facing up to himself in the glass. Coffee was good but went cold due to the distraction, haha

sorry to say but their coffee tastes burnt which I just cannot drink maybe that is why it never seems busy

The environment is pleasant but the coffee is extremely weak. I have been in here a few times and each time I feel like I am a child drinking a big cup of warm milk. I need proper coffee.

We'd just visited Deal Castle and decided to look round the town before moving on. Having walked up and down a very breezy High Street we decided to warm up with a hot drink.Starbucks is a chain I seldom use - not sure why - but this one appeared less busy than some others. It was in fact almost empty and seemed to have just one member of staff. Ordering at the counter I was served quite quickly and seated just a few feet away.In a very short while the place started to get busy. I seem to have a knack of getting to places ahead of the crowds!My partner sat on the bench seat with me opposite on one of the stools. Initially I thought the upholstery was 'shot' as I was quite low. However, having tried another stool I formed the opinion that they were all the same. If someone is tall it would have been uncomfortable. Nonetheless it didn't detract too much from the overall positive experience.The coffee was good, the ginger biscuits quite crunchy though not that gingery. I'd give it another try.

The smell of fresh brewed coffee pulled me in, also the cookies and cakes exposed at the bar. And I needed a leak in a toilet, any toilet. Strong brewed coffee brought me back to life. Unfortunately the loo was at the first floor and me being a cripple of 72 springs...

Lovely clean place staff are pleasant to you.food nice dogs are allowed as well. And disabled toilet.u can sit and relax without being bothered.food is really nice and hot just snacks though.

The lad serving looked as miserable as can be barely spoke & from ordering to getting our drinks took forever. The drinks where actually very nice.

Very glad I decided to come in here for the first time. I’ve tried many a coffee from big chains and independents. I hate to admit it but Starbucks coffee is the best by far. Not too dear either.

Myself and my 2 daughters met up for lattes and a hot chocolate and thought they were delicious especially the butterscotch brûlée latte.

the only difference i found between starbucks and costa straight across the road was space, more room to move in starbucks

Not sure why I read another view on crap wifi. It's really good here & fast I personally tested it with the coffee shop app I use & its the first place I visited that has super fast wifi, unless it's the Costa customers across the road pinching it (which in there is crap unless you sit at the back). Staff is very friendly, when busy there is a queue which can be off putting. Toilets are very clean. There are loads of socket points which for freelancers is great if you need to work. Best seats opposite bar area! The more comfortable seats are just that comfortable but as someone else mentioned too low down for the tables!

The interior is a bit dark, uninspiring decor and tables that are miles too high for the chairs! The staff on two recent occasions seemed to be struggling and could do with some support.

My fiance and I have been here twice now and both times found the staff very chatty and attentive. Coffees were lovely, love the shakers near the sugars! Great selection of syrups for the lattes and lots of different teas! Very reasonably priced. The place was clean and tidy with plenty of seating. Will definitely visit again.

I go here almost everyday and every time I get a friendly smile and perfect coffee. Always a perfect way to start my day.

Second time I have visited this Starbucks and will never return. Massively understaffed, the staff that were on seemed pleasant enough but need further training on the coffee machine and presentation. Both cups of drinks i ordered were covered in the drink itself! Hot chocolate all down the side etc.. Sloppy for a reputable chain. No knives available to cut a cheese toastie??

Have been a few times and have never had a bad drink, Tables have always been clean and the cafe peaceful

Starbucks is Starbucks, unless you have to go here try one of the independents, you will get better coffee and cheaper too

Usually I love Starbucks however I must say it is under staffed causing waiting times for drinks to be too long. I waited 15 minutes for my drink and i was the only customer left to be served, I watched the barista talk to his friends over the counter whilst, at this point, I was impatiently waiting for my drink to be made and the barista hadn't even started making it! I would deem this unacceptable customer service. Being a waitress myself I would understand if there were lots of customers and if it were busy, however clearly talking to friends whilst customers have been waiting a long time to be served is unacceptable. On the positive side, the place is clean, has good wifi and the drinks are very good, Im just very unsatisfied with the service I received and I doubt I will be returning

Probably the worst WiFi I have ever experienced in a Starbucks. Felt a bit drab inside especially as across the road Costa customers were sitting in the glorious sunshine.

Friendly family atmosphere, well maintained and clean, offers a wide range of coffees, teas, soft drinks, cakes and sandwiches . Keep up the good work :)

This new outlet, which is directly opposite Costa, used to be a Shoezone. Not all the locals thought we needed another coffee shop, but there was no referendum on a coffee shop! This store has level access, and is in a rectangular space, the counter being at the rear left end. Customers have the choice of easy chairs, uprights or padded chairs back to the wall, which seemed to be most liked by laptop users. Two staff were busy making up samples to give away in the street and unlike Costa, my capp had no cocoa pattern on the froth. The expected choice of muffins, cakes and bottled soft drinks. Some customers were taking coffees to businesses nearby. I thought the exterior and grey floor tiles a bit austere, but unless they acquire a shaded external seating area like Costa, some will go elsewhere. Did not see any loyalty cards, but this was day one. About 17 inside mid morning.
