Absolutely brilliant meal with excellent service, well done all on a busy evening service

Hands down the best customer service I've ever experienced. Jake and Tom looked after us brilliantly! Menu was varied and exciting.

Fabulous food, great staff, dog friendly! Perfect place to eat after our walk on bignor hill. They had an Asian menu and it was delicious.

I turned up at 6:15 to be greeted well but then taken to a table with food and crayons strewn around it. Clearly not bothered to clear up before the next diners arrived so did the only thing I could do….leave!

It's nice public house to be in, it was nice being back there after a long time.

Had a delicious vegetarian Sunday lunch here today for the first time. Excellent value for money - our food and drinks. Greeted by friendly staff. Atmosphere upbeat - dog friendly and happy customers around us. Food was served quickly, and was tasty and delicious. Generous portions. Delightful service - checked quickly that we were happy with our meal. Our server was charming and smiley.

Absolutely awful atmosphere, staff were extremely unpleasant, food was cold and had no flavour, wine was like water, will not be going back and we are locals, such a shame as such a lovely old pub.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Attempted to visit this pub for food after seeing the menu online and a food hygiene review in the window. Greeted by a bunch of farmers inside asking what we want, we said we were just waiting to see if food was being served. He said ‘nah no food at all here’ and the bar maid said ‘nope just crisps and nuts’ with an attitude, the other customers laughed us out the door. Very unfriendly, unprofessional and quite frankly rude behaviour from both staff and customers. Do not recommend at all.

We decided to have a look at it and try the place out by having a bar snack with the view to return to the restaurant. I’m afraid we won’t be doing that …..the bar staff were charming the food was good but unfortunately the restaurant manager ,I believe that was who he was was very unpleasant which left a bad impression .

Had bacon and chicken burger with onion rings and chips. Followed by sticky toffee pudding and custard. With couple of hay day shandy’s.

Disappointing. I’ve always been happy with the food here, but I’m not sure who made my toastie today—what a disappointment. For nearly £8, I’m shocked at what I was served. In the past, my meal always came with crisps, and salad, but today I had to choose just one? On top of that, the toastie had barely any filling and was flat as a pancake. If I hadn’t been meeting my friend for a catch-up, I would have refused it. Sadly, I don’t think I’ll be returning in the future. This is not value for money—just a total rip-off.

Understaffing always results in dirty unclered tables.

When we arrived, we thought it was going to be a lovely experience, but unfortunately, we were wrong . The food was incredibly overpriced and very basic which is not what you would expect with all the hype of it being local produce and Emma supposedly being such a food expert! But I will say all the waiting staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Will definitely not be returning.
