The Barn Harvester in Chichester

Came in just the 2 of us last week for some food, living up to the standards i ordered my usual - chargrilled chicken skewers, and they were just as lovely as the ones I have had in other locations. What stood out for us was our lovely server Lucy, even though she was still ‘in training’ she did an amazing job and was very attentive and polite! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice meal in the area

Really enjoyed my time there. Shane it can't be more often! Must tip my hat to Lucas who served us. Think he said he was from Norway but has the most amazing moustache! A really nice guy. His parents must be so proud of him.

My Service was just absolutely top tier my waitress who served me, Lucy, was just so lovely. Made sure I had everything I needed, constant check backs, very friendly, smiles all throughout! 10/10 Food was great came out fast. Atmosphere was fine.

Honestly such a cute place, the service and food was so good. The service from this one staff member Damon I think his name was was the best genuinely like I’ve never had a better server in all the places I’ve been.

What a lovely experience we had, with great food and a lovely atmosphere, and the highlight being a wonderful, friendly, smiley and extremely helpful server, Megan. She is an asset to the company. Very knowledgeable on her products, and very attentive. You can tell she loves her job, and has had previous training and experience in a high quality establishment due to how she works. We had a very enjoyable lunch this afternoon, 28/04/25, we were served by becs. She was VERY polite, with great customer service. Food was prompt and she checked everything was good with us. A very lovely experience due to Becs!

Lucas provided a lovely atmosphere and quick and kind service with a great sense of humour. Good food, decent sizes and appropriate serving time. Gold stars for Lucas and his awesome moustache too! 🌟

Love this place. We ate a little earlier than normal, so it was nice and quiet. Lucy was amazing! Nothing was too much trouble....and she always had a smile. Service was smooth and the food was lush!

Holly behind the bar was just the best! Service second to none and smiled all the time. Julie and Phil much appreciated her.

Worst experience, really put off going back. Booked online, only had bar area available. Asked for high chair on the booking. Got to the restaurant, main part did not look that busy. Showed to table in bar area, 3 round tables sort of pushed together, oh and no high chair, had to find that ourselves. Went up to the bar to order. Young male "served" us but was more interested in talking to his mate. His customer service was appalling, not listening to what we were saying, then at end just checked card payment had gone through and walked off. NO receipt offered, NO asking is there anything else you need, NO asking about my loyalty card, which I was unable to get a stamp on. Definitely not customer focused. That really made us frustrated and we had a 3 year old with us for a treat, which spoilt the occasion. Between us we spent over £120 pound, but wont be spending that again. Also on way out the restaurant was over half empty, so why when i tried to book online, 8.45pm came up as first available???? Really not impressed with The Barn.

Easy to book perfect area for our table and delicious food to boot. Think we hit gold with our server Megan aswell. Very friendly and helpful especially when our autistic son had a very unusual order she made it seem like it was just a regular occurrence which made him feel so much more at ease. I hope they know what a credit she is to the team too.

A large group of us have just been for breakfast, including 8 children. Brilliant service from Becks. Great choices on the breakfast menu. Food was all perfect, and good portion sizes.

Amazing experience, especially for an impromptu stop on Good Friday. Lucy, our server was lovely and very attentive. The food was lovely, and came out in a timely manner. My step son says he'd rate it 1000/5. High praise indeed.

I turned up at 6:15 to be greeted well but then taken to a table with food and crayons strewn around it. Clearly not bothered to clear up before the next diners arrived so did the only thing I could do….leave!

This is neither the best or worst Harvester we have been to. It is, quite simply, okay. The unlimited salad is definitely the highlight, which I think says it all about the main meals. They are okay at best, a fair reflection on the amount you pay. For a cheap and cheerful meal, this is a reliable place to deliver basic food quickly. Service was very good throughout - attentive despite how busy it was. Don't expect to be able to hold a decent conversation here, as it gets very noisy inside. Overall, it's not bad at all, but we wouldn't return.

Great experience with a waiter called Jaxson as he made everything a joke (even my friend who wouldn’t speak to him). He was also great with my allergy. Food was great as well. Highlight was the waiter though (highlight was he was infertile).

Megan served us and was very friendly, helpfully and patient. Came to our table every time with a smile and asked if everything was ok. A great asset to the business.

Lucy was amazing … we were there for my Birthday as well as my nieces so super loud and loads of kids that needed feeding and the food didn’t disappoint at all. Lucy was a different level tho, making sure we were all ok as well as taking for responsibilities for the allergies at the table very seriously and overall was just a pleasure! Would highly recommend this Harvester and make sure you ask for Lucy :)

We had great friendly service from Megan, who regularly checked if we needed anything. The vegan tacos were tasty, but it would be good to see more plant-based choices on the menu. It would also be helpful to know which items in the salad bar contain animal ingredients. It's obvious that the potato salad contained dairy, but when I asked about the mixed beans, I was told that they weren't suitable for vegans. I don't understand why not, as apparently they were in brine...

World class hospitality from Megan. I'm a customer experience leader and she was first class. Great food and drink. The salad bar was delicious as well as the mains.

A massive thank you to Megan.... I decided on this occasion to say no that my son and I have no allergies as sometimes it is so much drama, and having eaten at Harvesters for over 10 years did not think it would be a problem... It turns out that the BBQ chicken wings and rack of ribs have nuts through a contamination of mustard. My son ate one chicken wing and immediately started to have a reaction.. I called Megan over, who was totally professional, got his ribs changed, ensured that both our main courses where cooked separately. Explained about the contamination of nuts with mustard, agreed it can sometimes be a long process, but always better to inform the staff, as she would have altered me to the fact that the BBQ dishes contain nuts. Thank you again especially to Megan for not making me feel very silly. We all enjoyed the great food and service

Ambos pobres animales debieron morir de anorexia, su puré era agradable, pero ¿qué demonios era el pan de maíz? Lo peor fue que tuve un amargo shandy y fui a pedir un segundo para que me dijeran que no se permitía hasta que el primer vaso estuviera vacío 🙃 😐! Sobreprecio y que me trataran como a un niño de dos años que me dijeran que terminara mi primera bebida antes de que me permitieran una segunda fue insultante. Soy una abuela 👵 no una adolescente fuera de control que necesita ser apuñalada Nunca volveré.

Ok, lo mejor que puedo decir es el personal, aunque muy, ocupado era servicial y educado, especialmente Susan, Daisies, Mia y el joven sin placa de identificación. La comida... más allá de decepcionante. Llegó tibio en el mejor de los casos. Salsas por todos lados, giros de pollo cargados de papas fritas repugnantes. Hamburguesa de pollo de copo de maíz empapada, caliente es y de mala calidad. Frito quemado y empapado lo mismo para los aros de cebolla. Tenía £ 30 retirados de la factura ... pero lo pensará dos veces antes de regresar.

Had a superb meal with my husband and son. Steaks were cooked to perfection and the salad bar was constantly topped up. Fantastic service to from Jasmine. Will definitely be visiting again next time that we are in Chichester. Thank you to all the Harvester staff for making our evening a memorable one.

Food was good Jaxson was our waiter. He was very polite and attentive. He was helpful with his suggestions which were spot on.

Popped in on the off chance of a table for two. It was visibly busy but we got a table in the bar area no trouble! And then along came Jaxson....What an absolute ball of amazing energy, nothing was to much trouble, Jaxson took his time to have a laugh and engage in conversation. I wasnt sure what to have and Jaxson without hesitation recommened the tandoori skewer and then for the dessert that i wasn't going to have 🤣 the apple crumble sundae.... they were both amazing! This was without a doubt my best experience in any harvester and that was solely down to Jaxson!!! Every restaurant needs more Jaxsons!! If you read this thank you Jaxon and never stop being the bubbly bundle of energy you are 🩷 !!

My server Jaxson, was amazing. Very welcoming and chatty lad that got along with all of us. Served our food which was amazing and bought a very cheerful and welcoming atmosphere to the table. His service was amazing and I hope to get served by him again.

Service was slow (it was busy) but we waited 25 - with a tired 3 year old - before we were offered any service. I'm coeliac and requested the dinner I would have liked, I was informed the chips are cooked in a fryer where gluten is also cooked (VERY grateful the staff told me as this can make me personally very unwell) however this can be misleading as the menus state chips are gluten free. Weavgyakly made the choice to leave and go elsewhere as it was a risk I just didn't want to taker personally

Really disappointing. Salad bar a mess. Food mixed together. Dinner was partially cold and burnt. Service was good felt sorry for server as did complain. Toilets were dirty. Food in back of chairs where the seat meets the back. All in all not good.

Chicken very over cooked, no flavour but for charcoal very dry almost impossible to eat. If I wasn't hungry I would have left it. ( i had to cut the burnt buts off.) Best part of the meal was the salad bar. Burgers were almost as bad. £45:00 for burnt food.

All you can eat and drink (soft) for 9.99. Not amazing, but fast service and well maintained. Scrambled eggs are weird

Visiting the Harvester for the first time all the way from South London. All the staff were great 👍🏽 our server Jackson was the most amazing person. His personality was fantastic, he was bubbly and I must say he is an asset to the Harvester. Thank you 5 star all the way

Waited 5 minutes to be seated at table, restaurant was not busy. Was not asked if we had a preference on where we wanted to sit. Handed menu by waitron, no explanation of how menu works. Food was mediocre at best, expensive for what it was. Will not return.

Very unhelpful. Bar staff didn't give any satisfactory customer service ! Waited 40 minutes to receive our desserts despite repeatedly asking POLITELY! Evil stares at my wife and muttering didn't help!

After our previous visit that wasn’t up to usual standards and a review that reflected this. The manager called us and personally apologised and invited us back. We decided to go back and what a turn around. Staff were very friendly, quick and diligent. Food was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble and was served by a young server who we didn’t catch the name of with brown wavy hair who definitely deserves some recognition. I’m so glad the situation was rectified and we got to enjoy an excellent meal with wonderful staff and a warm atmosphere!
