First visit on Father’s Day with large order as one of only fish and chip shops open. Must say all very good! I had the homemade chicken and mushroom pie- delicious
Had an epic Easter Sunday lunch for the family. My wife had the soup which she said was the best she had for a very long time. It was leek and potato but had a mint oil dressing. Starters of Parma ham and cheese and chorizo balls went down well. We all had roast. Lamb, chicken and several of us had beef. Perfectly cooked. Masses of roast potatoes and fresh veg. Can’t fault it. Highly recommended
The staff here are friendly and polite, and the younger staff in the kitchen are really brilliant.
The food is good and tasty but the prices are maybe a tad overpriced for their cinnamon French toast. Coffee is also good.
They have eliminated plastic from their takeaway business.
The toilet at the back is one of the cleanest toilets in Whistable! It’s got plenty of space, it’s a shame the toilet is so far in the corner. There’s a baby changing pulldown table and plenty of light.
The fish and pasties were good, but the chips were steaming and a bit soggy by the time we opened them 10 minutes after collection.
They may have needed opening sooner or cooking longer.
Accommodated a group of six with a dog and were very friendly, service was ok, but after having our meals, they didn't come back asking if we wanted more drinks or anything else.
Food was good, but average and not especially hot, nothing to complain about, we've just had better. Price was reasonable.
The best fish and chips in Canterbury, cooked to order by friendly lads. Get the cod and haddock and medium chips, add a splash of malt vinegar and salt. Excellent 👌👍
After a long run i felt hungry and decided to stop off for what i thought would be a delicious meal but i was very upset with what i ended up with. What i was given by the chef was a bowl of grossly undercooked eggs with a sausage and a piece of bacon thrown on top and a tomato with a few burnt mushrooms thrown in. Unsatisfactory and could not get myself to eat it. Would not recommend.
