I tried their lunch set, which included a mixed starter, red curry beef, and fried noodles. The mixed starter was a great way to sample different flavors, with crispy spring rolls, tender satay, and flavorful shrimp toast. The red curry beef was rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced, while the fried noodles were fragrant and well-balanced. I also tried their sea bass—perfectly cooked, with a crispy exterior and tender, juicy meat. It was fresh and full of flavor. For drinks, I had the Thai milk tea. The service was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely phenomenal! Every dish was packed with authentic Thai flavors, perfectly balanced, and cooked to perfection. The ingredients were clearly fresh, and the presentation was beautiful. Everything was so delicious that we completely forgot to take any pictures! We literally finished every single bite on the table. 😂 If you’re craving high-quality Thai food, this place is an absolute must-visit. I can’t wait to come back!

Restaurant to busy, one toilet for males, one for females, considering the amount of diners, not adequate. Restaurant was cold, food was bland, menu confusing. Service was manic. Will not be returning.

I don't know how this Restaurant received such great reviews, as we dined here this evening 8.2.25. Service was manic,menu was confusing. We had the set meal, plates were cold, Restaurant was cold, food not much warmer. Dessert of the day was one scoop of ice cream. Very disappointed and wouldn't return.

The real Thai flavor in the UK, I recommend this place. For the drink highly recommend trying Thai Mike tea.

Took my girlfriend here last week and I’m not kidding when I say this is one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve been to. Food was delicious, waiting staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was great. Would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a good date night. Thai green curry was the best Thai green curry I’ve ever had no joke. Thanks guys

Honest review. for me its a poor, terrible is too harsh. Been before & was okay but a slow service previously. But always willing to give a place another go. Not much change, mainly the slow, slow service. Wasn't even full. 20 minutes to get a drink, 50 minutes for starters to arrive, main meal want to long after but even so there really needs to more attentive, realistic service times. Why do they put out nice hot plates ages before getting your food, stone cold for when it arrives. Food was at an okay standard, have tasted much better Thai food at lower prices. The quantity & quality of the chicken was not good. The green curry lacked this & was mostly sauce. I had to ask twice for the bill which finalized a few things for me. I wasn't too impressed upon paying being ask to add a tip. No thank you, explaining the reason. Disappointing, no control on the floor staff wise & over priced.

Brilliant atmosphere, lovely staff and an all round pleasant experience. The workers were kind and attentive, giving us all the attention we needed without having to ask. They noticed me opening a card from a family member and, without us needing to mention, brought their own card out for me, a very special experience for my family and I, will visit again.

The Thai BBQ restaurant was fantastic! The food was authentic, full of flavour, and the grilled meats were perfectly cooked. Special thanks to Well, who provided outstanding service with a warm smile.

I opted for the set menu, which included a platter for the starter, followed by Pad Krapow Beef (Stir-fried beef with holy basil) and a side of rice. I also noticed they offer moo-ka-ta, a Thai-style BBQ that looks really delicious. Unfortunately, since I’m dining alone, I’m unsure I could finish the whole set. They’ve mentioned that it’s best to book in advance for it as well. Anyway, the restaurant has lovely, well-decorated, and staff are friendly as well.

We have had some excellent meals here in the past. However, the recent takeaway we ordered was mostly inedible. The green curry was bland, sludge colour and full of soggy vegetables - none of the usual fragrance and spice. The tofu pad thai had a strange odour. The tofu was stale and completely inedible. The starters, however, were delicious. On complaining, we were offered a replacement order another time. We arranged this via email only for the order not to arrive! No explanation or apology. Perhaps (hopefully) it was a temporary chef and normal service will resume.

Thanks so much to the team here, they were very accommodating with two young children in our group, helping us arranging high chairs and modifying the kids menu to not include meat and unsalted food. Very thoughtful. Set lunch menu very good value for money and good options for veggies and vegans!

I often find food to be overrated in Whitstable frankly, so don't usually set my hopes too high for a takeaway here. This however was an absolute gem, the range of flavours across the dishes was wonderful to experience and it has firmly placed itself as my favourite establishment for food here. Will have to go back to eat in sometime (although my family can already vouch for this as they went without me before!)

We ordered a takeaway for delivery from here last night and can quite honestly say it’s some of the best Thai food I’ve ever eaten even in Thailand! We had a mixture of dishes; all absolutely delicious. The sauces a little runny but soaked up with fantastic sticky rice! All delivered to our door, hot and in good time. Very very impressed, if I lived locally I’d be using this restaurant very regularly. Well done Thai Orchid, 4 very happy customers xx

Most ethnic restaurants are very similar, with common mrnu items whether they are Indian, Chinese, or Thai. What makes the good ones stand out from the crowd are quality ingredients, expert cooking, efficient service and value for money. The Thai Orchid scores on all of these criteria. Much enjoyed and highly rrcommended.

Ordered for delivery, breaded prawn starter was ok, pad Thai was greasy and tasted like a bad microwave meal, beef Sam Rot was chewy poor quality beef. Probably the worst takeaway I have ever had, possibly worst meal in general.

The doorbell doesn't work but I was texted when the order was left at the door. The food was still hot and delicious. Will definitely order again.

I had dinner here with my friends on a recent trip to Whitstable and all I can say is WOW. I don’t understand the negative reviews on here (maybe they were unlucky) but I have been to Thailand 3 times but this is the nicest Thai food I have ever had, seriously! It was all incredible, the decor is beautiful and the service was fantastic. I had the prawn toasts, veg dumplings, crispy chilli duck and coconut rice and was truly gutted that I didn’t have space for the banana fritters. Best meal I have had out in years and I cannot wait to visit again!

Nice Food and friendly staffs- Eve served us tonight and is very helpful. We have steam sea bass in lemon sauce, sam rot three taste Thai sauce, egg fried rice and milk tea, all are authentic with great taste. The price is reasonable as well.

We have been coming here for some time and have always had a great meal. The food has been tasty and flavourful with good atmosphere. We have had no problems with the service - the staff have always been attentive.

Really craved some Thai food and was pleased that they could seat a solo at short busy night notice. Bit of a mish-mash of tables and chairs and some decor updates could help with ambience. Service was ok and whilst not exactly attentive the girls serving were most polite. Order arrived fairly quickly. Hot n Spicy soup hit the spot and was tasty. Green curry was ok with slightly cool rice that was more 'stuck together' than steamed or sticky. Overall, I think they're missing their potential as they should be the leading oriental diner in the area but are not getting there at present. However, generally Ok if you have a craving.
