Just had an amazing meal at Thai Orchid and honestly—wow. We ordered quite a bit (because everything on the menu looked too good to pass up) and every dish delivered. The green curry was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor—exactly the kind of comfort food you crave. The Pad Thai? Chef’s kiss. Perfectly balanced, not too sweet, not too oily, and seriously generous with the portion size. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend if you’re into authentic Thai food done right!!

We called into the restaurant at 17:30 to book a table but were told they wouldn't have a table free until 20:00, which we booked. We walked around Whitstable for 2.5 hours and called in again at 20:00 only to be told they still didn't have a table available and that we should come back in 30 minutes or so when they might be able to fit us in. We left and won't go back! They obviously overbook to allow for cancellations and put their own needs before those of their customers. A dreadful attitude.

Birthday treat for our sister as she loves Thai food. It was quite busy as we booked for 4 people at 2 pm. Took them a little while to get the drink order of 2 pina colada (one a virgin) 2 cokes 1 diet 1 pint of house draft beer one water with ice. When they brought the drinks, we were ready to order. For starters, we ordered an Orchid platter for 3 Chicken satay, prawn tempura (these were breaded not battered), prawn on toast (the one i had was over fried had trouble cutting with a knife so I gave up) , Tung Thong chicken parcels (these were very crispy and the minced chicken was dry), duck spring rolls & spring rolls and one from the set lunch menu. Both exactly the same, but the one portion came out a few minutes before the platter for 3. For mains, as I'm not a big eater, I had two starters prawn dimsum steamed minced prawn dumplings served in soy sauce( the first couple were soft, but as they got cooler they hardened even with the lid on. And prawn tempura, king prawns deep-fried in batter served with sweet chilli sauce (again breaded not batter as the menu says) I picked out the prawns and left the over cooked bread shell see picture. I had an extra peanut sauce very tasty. The other 3 had a chicken pad Thai stir-fried noodles with chicken, eggs, bean sprouts, carrot, spring onion, and ground peanuts. Massaman beef curry made with a massaman curry paste with onions, potatoes & cashew nuts cooked in coconut milk. Prawn red curry made with a red curry paste with aubergine, bamboo shoot, pepper & basil leaves cooked in coconut milk. The one who had the set menu had a green chicken curry made with a green curry paste, aubergine & bamboo shoot cooked in coconut milk, pepper, and basil leaves. One had sticky rice, and two had steamed fragrant jasmine rice. I tried all the currys & dipping sauces, and they were a good quality tasting sauce. The only letdown was the fried goods. If I was by myself, it would have been 3 stars, but the others all reckoned a 4. See pictures

I had a wonderful time dining at this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The place was clean and had a cozy. I’d also like to give a special shoutout to Khun Aun, one of the staff members who took great care of us throughout our meal. She was kind, attentive, and very professional. Her warm service really made us feel at home. Highly recommended! I’ll definitely be coming back.

Today I had Moo Kra Ta at a place that really felt like home. The seafood dipping sauce was super tasty and everything was totally worth the price. I was served by P‘Aun, who was incredibly friendly and attentive—always checking in and chatting with us, making the whole experience feel very warm and welcoming.

Life-savers, adorable! I just got in town with my kid, everyone else had their kitchen closed at 9:01, after going all over town we found them, they accepted to cook for us for takeaway, set us up comfortably with our drinks in the comfy lounge while preparing our order - literally saved us from an almost disastrous first holiday night… Thank you!!!

Ordered through the app and was told my food would be ready at a certain time and it wasn't. Asked to return to collect. Once we collected the mains were good but the starters were cold and in some cases burnt/ over cooked.

I ordered the food for a specific time as I was out. it was delivered about half an hour early, the delivery lady called me to say she left it outside my house. I told her it was early, she took it back to the restaurant. The same food was delivered back to us half an hour later, it was cold and the sauce had obviously just sat out and then sent back out. It's a shame as we are regular customers and it's usually decent food.

This was the by far the best Thai food experience I've had. The restaurant is stunning with lots of space and a chilled atmosphere. I ordered a green curry from the lunch menu and was blown away, it was fresh, fragrant and tasted amazing. The gentleman serving us was friendly and couldn't do enough to make sure we had a good experience. 5 stars!!!!

The food is flavourful but the meat & prawns are not the best quality. My favourite was the beef noodles. Unfortunately I was delivered the wrong order as well as the food being a little cold. When I spoke to the manager he seemed in a bad mood & was a little rude which is unacceptable as I am the customer with the wrong order & was calm. I hope in future he can treat customers with patience & kindness

Beautiful Sunday lunch at Thai Orchid in Whitstable. Celebrated a lovely lunch with 5 long term friends. SIn our waitress ( think I pronounced her name correctly) was amazing 👏 very kind, attentive and always smiling. Tina is a great Manager and is so welcoming to everyone who visits, she has 2 Restaurants...Whitstable and Maidstone. Go and book a table. The food, is hot, delicious and plentiful. We stopped in for dinner while visiting from out of town. We had the Pad Khing and Pad Kee Mao. The food was fresh and delicious. We were so pleased, in fact, that we stopped in again on our way out of town to get takeaway meals for when we get home, up North. We will certainly come again the next time we are in town!

Restaurant to busy, one toilet for males, one for females, considering the amount of diners, not adequate. Restaurant was cold, food was bland, menu confusing. Service was manic. Will not be returning.

I don't know how this Restaurant received such great reviews, as we dined here this evening 8.2.25. Service was manic,menu was confusing. We had the set meal, plates were cold, Restaurant was cold, food not much warmer. Dessert of the day was one scoop of ice cream. Very disappointed and wouldn't return.

The real Thai flavor in the UK, I recommend this place. For the drink highly recommend trying Thai Mike tea.

Took my girlfriend here last week and I’m not kidding when I say this is one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve been to.
