A very relaxing and peaceful setting. Lovely, friendly people. I would have stayed all day if I could have but I forgot my glasses to read my book. Will definitely be going again and taking my mum 😄
Great little coffee house.
Excellent service , really good coffee and cakes.
Gets really busy at weekend breakfast time, pleasant outside seating area as well as indoors
I was very impressed by my lunchtime stop here today. Quirky and rustic interior, professional and charming staff, simple menu, glorious range of cakes. Oh, and check out the brilliant plate my bacon butty was delivered on! Definitely recommended.
When I make my annual visit to Canterbury the Eight Bells is a must. On Sunday afternoon, I enjoyed one of Landlady Kim's Sunday Roasts and that kept me going for the day. On Tuesday evening I returned for some drinks and the pub was as busy as ever with Kent's greatest Ladies Darts team in action
When you are in Canterbury, the Eight Bells is a must with great, staff, drinks and food in a traditional pub, you couldn't find better!
We had the haddock and chips and scampi and chips and both were fresh, fantastic, fabulous friendly and fast service.
The owner couldn’t have been nicer and presented the food well even down to a slice of fresh lemon and tartar sauce. You are given a beeper to alert you when the food was ready - what a novel and great system - it gave you some time to wander around the other huts whilst waiting - great idea. I can’t recommend THE FISH WIFE enough.
I always get lovely service from Emma and the staff at Hat Hats here. It’s so nice that Herne Bay Station has a good cafe with such a variety of drinks and food because it makes the train journey so much nicer. 5 stars and highly recommended
Great little spot.. Fantastic service, clean and tidy space. Coffee is really decent. Had a wrap absolutely delicious. And the smoothies are out of the world. Highly recommend.
My menu was out of date as I paid £7 more than I expected to pay. 10% discount if you collect order which is good. Picked up a new menu when I was there but this was also out of date. Prices online are up to date. Food very tasty but portion size small and amount of meat was minimal. Not very good value for money.
Brilliant food and great staff. Friendly atmosphere and all round fantastic place to go. Without a doubt best restaurant on the University of Kent's campus and one of my favourite places to go in Canterbury. Also good value and wide variety of dishes. Would definitely recommend the red lentil dahl. A must go restaurant.
