I was very impressed by my lunchtime stop here today. Quirky and rustic interior, professional and charming staff, simple menu, glorious range of cakes. Oh, and check out the brilliant plate my bacon butty was delivered on! Definitely recommended.

Beautiful selection of cakes and some even come with hot custard. All the staff were very friendly and happy to help. Nice place to rest and recharge before you move on to explore more of the city.

The best cafe in Canterbury! I go every weekend, sometimes more than once. The food is excellent; from the amazing cakes, perfect cheese scones, hearty breakfasts to the enormous selection of loose teas. The portions are huge and the prices are really good too. The staff are genuinely friendly and always helpful. You really feel like they care. This is a real teashop. If you like good food, good tea and nice people this is the place to go.

We had the bacon, eggs, sausages and toast. Copious amount, superbly presented, tasted amazing and such friendly, smiling staff. Lovely, welcoming venue, dog friendly and sells amazing slices of a whole variety of cakes. Also sell a great range of loose teas. We bought one plus a tea strainer. Will have fond memories of this place when we return home to Somerset tomorrow.

Thought we would pop in for a quick bite but wished we hadn't. We had sausage sandwiches, meant to come with brown sauce but didn't - never mind gave us the bottle. Wanted brown bred but only had white (didn't stock it). Came as door stops, not much butter and hard to eat. Sausages were warm. They seem more about the flavoured teas than food, which is fine if that is what you want.

I was very disappointed, the butter that came with my scone had been melted and was all grainy. It was replaced and I should have asked for my scone to be replaced too, it was dry and hard. I wasn't even that keen on my breakfast tea. I shan't go there again.

Had breakfast here. Went for a vegetarian breakfast and was asked if vegan but said no. Freshly cooked, 2 eggs, vine tomatoes, mushrooms, bubble and squeak plus toast was not too expensive at 10 pounds. Loos leaf tea served in an unusual mug, tea strainer stand was the lid. Staff friendly and kept an eye on my large bag when I went to toilet which was unexpected. Popular spot for breakfast as a good choice on the menu.

This was a good find, had charm and service was very good and friendly, wide range of unusual teas to buy and take home. Different to most coffee shops when you buy cake you get a generous slice, If it were local would probably be regulars

On our weekly jaunt in Canterbury from Whitstable Kent we came across this tea shop with delicious looking home made cakes & snacks. We opted for the full English breakfast with loose tea, & toast for £10, we ordered the meal x2 & were pleasantly surprised with how wonderful it was, good quality ingredients & service with a smile. The food was plentiful & not over cooked. The amazing choice of teas (loose) for sale was impressive. I would advise anyone to try it if you’re in the area. It will be a regular stop for us.

I had spent the morning and more exploring Canterbury Cathedral. So I needed to recharge my batteries before visiting the cloisters and the crypt. I found Teastones, just a short walk outside the Cathedral Gate on Sun Street. Here many teas are on sale, I opted for Earl Grey. It didn’t come in the form of a sub standard tea bag, they served it loose leaf in a tea pot. It was heaven! While I was trying to finish the large piece of cake served to me, they kindly refilled my pot with more hot water. Sometimes you pay an awful lot of money for very little, at Teastones it was just the opposite. Much refreshed, I went back to the Cathedral to finish exploring its history.

Got absolutely drenched in the rain and took shelter at this tea room. A background of 70's & 80's chill music and slight vibe in the decor. Wide range of delicious, fresh cakes and an even wider range of teas to mix. I was wary that they wouldn't deem to have decaffeinated English Breakfast tea, but they did and it was of a very good quality. Teastones uses a lidded cup with an infuser which gave a lovely strong cuppa. The owner was very calm and informative. I really enjoyed my time (despite another customer with a foghorn voice) and hope to go back there again.

Large selection of cakes. We tried three and all were delicious. Very good selection of teas as well. Service could not have been nicer. My only recommendation would be to soften the lighting a little. But who cares when the cakes are that good.

It looks from the outside like a bookstore with a corner area for drinking and snacking. But once you enter, it's clear that this place provides a variety of teas, both in the form of loose leaves or bags as well as drinking utensils such as cups, diffusers and other knick-knacks. They specialize in blending premium teas. Apart from selling tea leaves to take home, you can also enjoy tea accompanied by a wide selection of beautiful, appetizing cakes here. The cake is moist, the texture is soft and tastes delicious, really home-style. The way I was offered to choose tea was to smell straight into the can with the type of tea I liked and take it to the manager to brew it. The service is very friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed and calm, it feels like home. And if you like boba tea they are also provide it. Lovely! Don't miss afternoon tea here when you visit Canterbury.

On a rainy and chilly day my husband and I needed a break so we popped in to Teastones after seeing the cakes in the window. We were welcomed by the owner and placed our order. I loved my apple cake and my husband devoured his carmel walnut cake, both baked that morning. The proprietor is lovely and happy to have you visit her shop just steps outside the gate of the cathedral. Stop by and you'll be glad you did!

Definitely a busy place. When we got there, only a handle of seats was available and they were all taken. We ordered takeout. We just needed to tell what we wanted to the staff with our names. When the food is ready, your name would be shouted out. Price is ok compared to other oysters 🦪 shops around. We found the deep fried oysters were quite interesting. The raw ones were fresh, no incidents afterwards.

The nigiri sushi in the sushi set for 2 tastes good, and the salmon avocado roll is also delicious. My daughter likes salmon nigiri sushi very much, so I ordered an extra portion of salmon lovers. My daughter also likes curry rice. The miso soup is sweet and fresh. The children are very satisfied after eating it.

Arrived to a very loud and noisy bar to find out our table was next to the door, across from the bar and next to noisy drinkers. We waited 15 mins for a drink although the drinkers at the bar where served ahead of our drinks order.....we knew then we had made a mistake! The food was excellent we both cleared our plate but atmosphere, service and attention to detail was lacking. Would not return in the immediate future.
