Dog friendly, food is ace as is the coffee. I had American pancakes with berries and they were lovely. Staff very friendly too. Highly recommended!

the service here was incredibly slow, but fine. The food was very poor, as can be seen: ham egg and chips has 1 piece of greyish ham (menu states 2) and 2 very overcooked hard eggs. This cost over £10. (cant remember exact price, think it was £12) Would not recommend.

Visited here pregnant and with a four year old little girl after a long car journey and a female member of staff refused them to use the toilet. This place is everything wrong with the world at the moment. Poor attitudes. Stated it was because of misuse…..I mean look at what’s in front of you this was rude and just uncivil. Certainly wouldn’t bother visiting here if visiting whitstable.

My wife and i had lunch today we ordered two ploughman's lunches and drinks with no ice but arrived with ice. The staff where very friendly But the ploughman's where very disappointing they looked like side salads with a panini roll and cheese. We had to ask for butter and there was no napkins. The ploughman's where served on wooden boards my wifes had what looked like mould mark on the wood mine was fine but put us both off. Paid and left ( disapointed )

I went there to have afternoon tea and the food and service was amazing! It's very homie and the staff there were all incredibly warm, it didn't take us long to feel at ease there at all - we didn't want to leave! :') They had taken time effort and consideration into our meals and all in all we had a great experience. I honestly want to go back again.

Great venue for when you have had enough seafood. American diner style menu, nice atmosphere and live music. Staff really friendly and welcoming. Well worth a visit.

Had a late lunch here Thur 13 June '24 with my Mum and her best friend from out of town. We were all blown away with the warmness of the staff and the quality of the food and drinks. Speedy service too. Wonderful. Will definitely be back!

We had lunch here today and it was excellent. The kids menu was great, and children were very well catered for with the choices and with colouring activities. We sat in the room by the garden which was lovely, and our food was really good. The Volkswagen Currywurst Hot Dog was a particular treat! The staff were all really friendly and helpful and the service was really quick. We would definitely recommend it, especially for families with kids.

Seemed like a friendly family run business with a good atmosphere and reasonably priced food. It also allows dogs but please do keep them on a lead as there was one running about scaring others! I'm afraid we had to wait over an hour for our food and the waitresses could be heard apologising to everyone mainly because as they said "the bigger table has taken precedent so everyone else has to wait" not what you want to hear as it makes you feel less special to the place. My other complaint was the draught coke was incredibly flat, I asked for another but was the same....I work for the major drinks company that makes this so i know what I'm talking about! If I could recommend one meal from here I'd go with the chilli!

We had the fish and chips here for £16 each. Cod and batter were good. Chips were thinner than proper chips.

We have been here for lunch several times always had good food, always nice to see Debbie, so we came last night for dinner and cocktails with live music then manager and staff very attentive and always a pleasure to see Debbie and her hardworking staff .

A real little gem in the old Nat West bank...including all the heavy strong room doors!! The atmosphere was so friendly and welcoming, to us and our dog (he loved the treats!!) A delicious English breakfast and coffee. Highly recommend.

Joke of a meal, salmon was sloppy, vegetables were frozen and everything was microwaved, lettuce from the burger had gone off and we was still charged for three meals, even though we sent the salmon back and got a bang average pie, £50 wasted Wouldn’t bother going

UPDATE: my original review is below but, since returning it has gone downhill, there new menu seems to be too much for the kitchen considering the quality and overall taste has become much less of a pleasant experience. They are either understaffed, incompetent or just lazy, I have never managed to eat my main meal, before our first round of drinks came out. Sadly due to these factors I shan’t be returning. Original review: Absolutely amazing food with very helpful staff. Been back a few times because I have enjoyed it that much. Would recommend for anyone. Additionally, I personally find it pretty cool that it is in the old bank building.

Visited twice and on both occasions the welcome was warm and friendly and the food and drinks were excellent. Would highly recommend and would definitely visit again if we return to Whitstable in the future

Extremely accommodating and friendly staff to our large group which included a toddler and 2 dogs. Plenty of space and a huge menu which catered for everyone. Overall a really positive experience, thank you!

Breakfast was great with good portions. My only gripe is the uncomfortable crockery that makes it difficult to actually have the meal.

Very disappointing! We were offered the choice of two tables when we arrived but after ten minutes of waiting for our order to be taken we were then asked move. However I was reluctant to move as the other table had a large dog next to it and as i was bitten by a similar large dog last year (while at work). I am now very wary of dogs but this was of no concern to the owner. All this cafe is worried about is getting bums on seats and money. For the record I was also offered a table inside - however this table would have meant being bashed every time someone went past, we went in looking for somewhere quiet to have lunch, being inside would not have given us this. Also, the table we first sat at was dirty, sticky, so is not cleaned properly. And finally, the dog that I mentioned at the start of my review was being fed off the plate. I do not know the hygiene rating for this place but this really worried me that this is allowed to happen. I feel i have to respond to the reply from the cafe. Firstly you need to review your CCTV again - your young member of staff offered us one table next to the big dog or the other table the other side of the room. We took the other table away from the dog. Then ten minutes later we were asked to move which I said I would prefer not too. Your manager was loud and wanted to make a scene to shame me to move. I tried to explain why I didn’t want to remain where we were but this did not matter - all she was interested in was the sterling in the till. The table WAS dirty, please do not try and fool people by saying that is was spray - dirty is dirty! Your entire response is based on watching CCTV and hearsay. Take the criticism and learn from it. You where not there, I was not rude, but i will not be bullied and made to feel embarrassed by the whole episode. Finally, I would have thought the owner of a catering business would be on the premises on a August bank holiday weekend instead of finding out what’s happening from Google reviews and your CCTV.

My last experience at this place was when it first opened during lockdown/covid times which was honestly really good despite the reduced menu! A lot more attention to detail and value for money. However, this time was much more disappointing. The two hotdog meals were truly a let down for the price, the loaded fries were good however i'm inclined to believe £9 for something you could get down the road from weatherspoons for much cheaper is rather insane. Food aside, me and my friends were incredibly disappointed with the drinks as they appeared to include absolutely no alcohol! £20 for a pitcher, and £9 for slushies but yet not the faintest alcoholic taste or feeling to them, we left feeling almost completely robbed and that we should’ve made do with something much cheaper and reliable then trying this place out. The atmosphere and aesthetic was nice and the staff were friendly, however the outside door continuously was slamming very heavily and reopening itself which was obviously stressing the young server out as the plates she was carrying were extremely heavy themselves! We would love to return if this place ever improved as it seemed to have the right intentions but just not carrying through with them as much as a customer would want.

Really lovely little spot. Visited here Saturday and Sunday morning for breakfast with my family. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Garden area is a gorgeous sun trap in the morning. Highly recommended.

Unexpected find. Cocktail bar in an old bank in Whitstable… 😆 Really nice place. Visited on a whim because it was dog friendly. Small garden out the back. Good range of cocktails at decent prices. Who could say no to a pina colada served in a pineapple shaped glass. I certainly couldn’t. Twice.

So glad we stumbled across this place! The food was great quality and all of our orders were catered to our preferences without it feeling like a hassle (eg: well done bacon, egg style and swaps where asked). On top of the lovely food, all the staff were really attentive and friendly! Smiles all round and some great recommendations on things to do in the local area. Even better we had an option to sit outside, if only it was a tad warmer! Highly recommend and will return if we find ourselves back in Whitstable.

Lunch for three of us. Delicious fish and chips/ham egg and chips. Little details made the difference and our waitress on only her 3rd shift was delightful and friendly too. Lovely surroundings but the loos were a bit neglected, otherwise it would have been 5 stars.

The conversion of the old bank has been done well and keeping many of the old bank (the old safe turned in to a dining room). Service and selection of food and drink are excellent.

Another nice restaurant in Whitstable, we had breakfast there and the food was really nice. Couldn't rate the atmosphere any higher as there were only 2 other people there but the staff were very friendly. Will definitely visit again.

Great place to visit good food too.

Quite expensive for what seems to just be wholesale food. No seasoning or flavour. Saw the staff rolling their eyes at eachother as simple things like giving us cutlery to eat with had been forgotten. Food took ages and part of the order had to be reminded twice.

A nice venue for daytime amblers and nighttime revellers. The all-day breakfast was tasty and a fair price.

We received a fantastic warm welcome during our visit. Can definitely recommend trying the cocktails, the MaiTai were the best we have had for a long time... so good that we returned on the Saturday evening for more! Would definitely recommend a visit. 😊

Great place for food and snacks

Got both of our orders wrong. Partner given the wrong toastie and crisps were stale. "Cream Tea" was with whipped cream, not clotted cream. Hot drink was not served with the "cream tea". Staff friendly but would not come back again. They turned customers away at the door despite having empty tables.

Bland food, very processed. Hot dog needs real onions, not salad crispy onion pieces that fall out the minute you pick it up. Slow service, although very friendly and welcoming.

So we visited this ex bank for breakfast. The surroundings are pleasant and give a nice atmosphere, we ordered the breakfast bap and traditional breakfast, both dishes where tasty , if I was to have one complaint the bacon was a little to crispy for our liking . Not the cheapest place but I suppose you expected to pay more in a location as lovely as Whitstable

10 motorcyclists arrived and we were made to feel very welcome... Many thanks I had a fish finger sandwich and a piece of blueberry and lemon cake, both very tasty. I would recommend anyone to visit.

Was freezing cold outside and their doors were open. Chef said it was ok to sit and they would be opening in 5 minutes. It was 9:55am and instead of welcoming us and letting us read the menu while while we waited, the girl came in and turned us away. Absolutely silly for the sake of 5 minutes.We then went across the road to a different cafe Whitstable coffee co, and we are glad we did as the lady was lovely and breakfast delicious. For the sake of 5 mins you lost 2 customers and valuable money which nobody can afford to turn down. Absolutely not the way to promote business. And not welcoming in any way. I suggest you lock your doors until you open up officially. Leaving the door open makes people presume you are open.

Without realising, we arrived shortly before closing and they couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. Thank you.

Have visited this place twice with my son's girlfriend & it is dog friendly, service good as is food.

The vegan sausage sandwich was two thin slices of sourdough, no spread and two Linda McCartney sausages. No garnish. £8. Disgusted.

Had a family Christmas/birthday meal at Rock Around the Clock from their Christmas menu. Food was superb! The selection available was fantastic and the vegan option was delicious as well! Service was excellent with friendly and helpful staff and management. Such a lovely run business. Highly recommend. The Vault Room is ideal for private meals as well! :)

Our first place we ate it since moving to Whitstable what a lovely place the staff are so friendly and made us fill very welcome and gave us some tips about the area too 😉 will be our regular place to eat from now on ❤️❤️❤️ love

This was our first time visiting this establishment and would recommend anyone to visit. Our waitress was very friendly and polite - thank you very much! I ordered a limited edition hotdog which was very flavoursome! We had requested for the chips / fries to be extra cooked / crispy- which they were- so very enjoyable. We had a side of mozzarella sticks too which were presented lovely with a side salad. Overall We gave our experience a 4/5 but could of easily have been a 5 out of 5 if it wasn’t for the following:- I felt a little uncomfortable sat at a table whilst a manager was in a corner of the room with his arms folded constantly watching and not even smiling when I would look up. My wife ordered the scampi which although was very tasty, some of the scampi was only “warm” but she still ate it as didn’t want to cause a fuss as already felt uncomfortable from the gentlemen watching us throughout our whole visit. Although a vast selection of cocktails, they seemed to be very highly priced as if we were visiting London. A dessert each was almost £9 a go. Would we visit again? Yes I think so . Would we recommend to friends and family? Yes

First time here. Waited a while for food but was very busy. Meal was nice, good portions. Value for money. Nice outside area at the back. Located in an old bank. One room they have converted to a jail type cell for special occassions.

Nice interior with unique layout, adequate outside space. Waited about 15 mins for drinks, my lager was tasteless and flat (but was a brand so not ATC fault). Priced for holiday makers and presumably offering live music now and then. I think if there was live music on I could swallow the prices.

Fantastic Cafe/Bar...LOVE the fact that it has a different interior "Quirky, Industrial and Fun" and not seaside themed. Staff friendly, very clean and the food was AMAZING!!! Glad to see something different and new in Whitstable. Highly recommended and will definitely be back again on out next visit AAAA****** Also looks like they have lots of good evening events

We were served by a sweet waitress who was obviously new. As we paid, I witnessed her get spoken to in the most appalling way by her manager (an older lady with blonde hair) the way she spoke to our waitress was utterly despicable. She had a go at her in front of customers and condescended her for making a tiny mistake on the chip and pin device. It was so uncomfortable to witness and I felt so sorry for the waitress who was doing an amazing job and still learning. Whoever this manager is - that is absolutely no way to speak to your staff, especially when they are young. You should be ashamed of yourself. I was so sad for the poor girl when I left, whose customer service was amazing. Disappointing and sad to witness such a toxic manager at an otherwise lovely cafe.

I was lucky enough to find a place in Whitstable that allows dogs on a (really) hot day, and has a lovely bit of shade. I went to the back area which met me with a very visually pleasing, and comfortable aesthetic. A large selection of food, all of which from brunches, lunches, and dinners. I personally ordered a burger for lunch, and an iced tea to drink. It was nice to see the ice tea was homemade, and it tasted great in the heat. The burger looked great, and was delicious, an overall excellent burger, and I’d say it’s the best I’ve had during my stay in Kent. Highly recommend, lovely staff, good inclusivity for dogs, and great food.

Cracking place. Was open where others around had shut up shop for the day. Had a round of hot drinks and slices of cake. Table next to us had a cocktail tree which looked fun! Live music and other entertainment on.

We had a Jacket potato and an Omelette. The food was homely and we both had enough. However due to some mix up we waited way too long for the food to be served (45 minutes). To be fair, they did apologize. But wow it wasn’t a very complicated dish

We had just arrived in Whitstable for a week's holiday and popped in for fish, chips, and a delicious frozen Daiquiri. I can't praise the staff enough, so so friendly, made us feel right at home. Great, thank you ladies
