A long time since I visited this pub, once a favourite many years ago. I came for lunch as I had seen the postings on Facebook about a new menu. Came early so not at all busy. Excellent 'pub grub' menu choices, expertly and quickly cooked and served. Very reasonable prices. The usual Shepherd Neame drink choices. Looking forward to visiting when the fire is lit.

It was our first stop in Canterbury on an early, wintry, weekend morning for a delicious gingerbread cruffin and coffee. It's a cosy cafe where you can watch the passerbys on the cobblestone street beyond while indulging in a pastry and hot tea or coffee.

Although we have lived close to the haywain for nearly 7 years for some reason we had never visited before. What a mistake! We went yesterday with some friends and had a fab time, service was great and the lady who looked after us was friendly and not only served the bar but also waited on us at our table, provided advice on the menu options and was just great all evening Our food choices were not just tasty and well presented but the overall cost was very reasonable due to the two/three course options which all 5 of us chose from. Duck, king prawns, skate, steak and traditional fish and chips for starters and mains and a great selection of traditional desserts made for an excellent evening Will return soon and likely become a more regular visit from now on.

Under the previous owners from Essex this pub was amazing after the revamp, the food and atmosphere was fantastic and they got better clientele in. I've been back since under new ownership and the place is disgusting and full of drinks and louts that have ruined what was a lovely pub. I wouldn't set foot inside here again as it's full of drug taking lager louts who will ruin the expensive revamped decor. When I visited for a drink there was lads waiting to get in the toilet to have a sniff! Avoid!!

Windy Corner Stores & Cafe is the entire reason we returned for a long weekend to Whitstable. Absolutely nowhere beats it within miles if you are looking for breakfast, brunch or lunch. We were in Whitstable and returned for 3 consecutive mornings for our breakfast/brunch - the food really is that good. A very wide selection offered on the menu, and all cooked, prepared and presented to absolute perfection. Lovely friendly, welcoming and helpful staff and the creamy mushrooms were outstanding, as well as scrambled egg to die for! We'll be back!

we'd walked past several times from the car park to the city centre and this time thought we'd try it for lunch. There's a courtyard out back for nice days and we enjoyed simple toasties and coffee. It was quite busy but the service was Ok and friendly enough. Perfectly fine.
