Pho in Canterbury

Jacob at Pho Canterbury looked after us so well in a recent visit for dinner, great food & service, polite & friendly.

All the food was really good. Service was excellent. David was our server.

Delicious food, very kind and welcoming staff. Jacob was very helpful and kind when advising me about the menu as I'm not the best with spice. 10/10 will come back

The service I recieved here was truly exceptional. I called the restaurant with a crazy request for my reservation, and they could not have been more helpful. Lady with glasses was lovely and great service

Visited on a Thursday around 2pm, waitress appeared disinterested, ordered two broth meals and drinks. Meals came out very fast, so fast that no drinks appeared until meal was finished! Food was average. Asked for service charge to be deducted, why? No real service to speak of!

I have a gluten allergy and I feel completely comfortable eating here. Mary was fantastic.

Pho is becoming my favourite place to eat and recommend to others. The food is great. Portion sizes are very generous and prices are reasonable.

Great food and service, bit cold and not very comfortable seating

Delicious food and had a lovely clean place.Service was quick and food was fresh. I enjoyed my chicken pho very generous portions of ingredients served and the morning glory,summer rolls and the chinese lettuce for starter are worth a try very flavourful.

This is perhaps the best food I've ever eaten in my life Divine ... Almost immediately I had to compliment the chef and service was fantastic Nothing less than 5 out of 5 stars .

Lovely food and fantastic service from Jacob!

It was a pleasant experience and the waiter was so kind enough to welcome and make it comfortable even for a takeaway . Me being a regular customer and spotting Pho in that area, definitely did not disappoint me this time too, I made up to buy lunch , safe and best option which indeed it was , where I introduced the food to my cousins where they too relished . The food service was also quick !

Food is ok, service is ok, but the company policy is bad. They charge you 12.5% service charge, not 10% which I am willing, it is not optional either. I try to change it, or cancel it on the credit card machine, but cannot. So watch out. You may be charged more than you want to.

We had a great lunch. Our dishes were really tasty, clean and well presented. Our waitress, Gaia, was very friendly and explained all the dishes to us. Will definitely go again and recommend.

The food and Jacob were amazing!!

Warmly welcome by Jacob. He asked us to wait, cleaned our table and then took us to our sets. Jacob was really helpful with my seafood allergies and told me my options after speaking with the chefs. Jacob gave us enough attention through out the meal. Thanks you Jacob M & B

5/5 star place the food was amazing, I had the beef pho which was amazing and so tasty, my partner had a vegi chicken noodle dish which she really enjoyed. The chicken wings were so amazing, I might have to come back just for them. the atmosphere was brilliant and the service was as good as you can get on a busy night! I will be returning!!

Jacob was a great host. He was very pleasant an when asked for advice he was happy to share his knowledge and his advice on choices was honest and accurate. His pleasant demeanor allowed us to relax and feel comfortable. There was no sense of pressure. Both my wife and myself found his service excellent from the moment we walked in to the moment we left.

It might have been the food I chose but I could have put more taste in it myself. I was just fried noodles with chicken that seemed to be older than the building itself. It was just bland and tasteless and boring. Also had a small overpriced bottle of lager.

Jacob is a star! Perfect service, thank you! Please remove the kitchen alarm in the kitchen every 5 minutes…

One of my favourite restaurants in canterbury, it's a lovely restaurant great atmosphere, friendly waiters, Ben served our table, handsome gentlemen always had a smile on his face, good service, very attentive, we had a lovely day.

The food is great, we are vegan and have visited multiple times. This visit, we ordered the veggie spring rolls, tofu curry and the THIS ISN’T chicken noodle soup - 10/10! The service was very good too, staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you team Canterbury.

We recently visited Canterbury from London and had the pleasure of dining at Pho. The experience was truly exceptional, and we were blown away by the outstanding service provided by Rua! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was delicious. But what really made our evening special was Rua's attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable service. She went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, and her recommendations were spot on! We would highly recommend Pho to anyone visiting Canterbury. Very pleasant staff, Neave was a great host and food was excellent.

The place was a bit dark for us. More lights would be nice (we came in the evrning). We were lovely served by Scanai.

The house soup with crab flavour is nice! The staff always check our need and help us quickly with smiley face.

Ben our waiter was exceptional! Must be rewarded. I know the sector and the job and he is way above average in care, manner, charisma and attention to detail.

We couldn’t fault this lovely restaurant!…such efficient service and the servers were so friendly and informative. More importantly the food was excellent and anyone with a food allergy was well looked after which meant they could relax and enjoy their choice of dish.

Marked down purely in service Male on front desk ignored out request for a booth despite upstairs being empty bar 3 other tables entire time we were in there!! The food is insanely good but be careful they added on a service charge to our total bill but it only showed the total in the machine so you can't check until you request the email receipt after you've paid......sneaky as service was lukewarm at best........no impressed by that low tactic at all

Dog friendly !! Super lovely restaurant and staff - one of the only places we can come for a sit down dinner with the dog. The staff couldn't have been lovelier and the food was scummy !! 🩷

Been a few times and at first it was amazing and me and my husband loved it. However the last time we went it didn’t go well. We had booked a certain table and when we got there that table wasn’t available as someone else with the same name had arrived and they didn’t confirm they had the right people as they said we were already there even though we had just walked in. Eventually we got our table and ordered our food. I ordered a vegan meal and it came with fish in it. We got our meal for free as an apology. Months later we returned and when booking our table we relayed our concerns to the manager she did not care and said she would not give us a certain table - it’s an accessible reason we need that table. Also she was saying that walk ins took priority over booking so we may not even get a table at the time we booked for. We didn’t end up going for this reason, we went from going all the time to never going back.

Always have the best experience here. Coeliac and they always take my food issues seriously. Never been poorly after eating here so they must be careful with cross contamination in the kitchen. The staff are super friendly, attentive and knowledgeable! Today we had Mary and she was lovely and super helpful!

Food was decent enough, the squid was slightly more oily than I've had elsewhere hence the rating. But overall decent service, quick and attentive service, will return!

Pretty quiet when I visited. Very hearty broth and the beef brisket is soft. Very generous on the herbs provided as well. The spring rolls are a bit smaller in terms of portion bit still really delicious. The peanut sauce is on the sweet end which balances the acidity of the spring rolls. There's also strong free wifi with a comfortable environment, and service is really nice. Would definitely recommend.

I came here for food with my family over the weekend, and was served by Jacob and Holly who were both lovely and made our experience so enjoyable. The food was great, we will definitely come again

I recently visited Pho Canterbury, and overall, it was a great experience. The atmosphere was fantastic—warm, inviting, and perfect for enjoying a meal. The food was delicious, with rich flavors and fresh ingredients that really stood out. The only downside was the service, which could have been better. While the staff was polite, our server never checked in to ask how our meal was, which would have made the experience feel more attentive and welcoming. That said, I’d still recommend Pho Canterbury for its great food and ambiance, and I’ll definitely be back!

Shout out for Ben who waited on our table. Excellent service. The veg spring rolls were scrummy as was the noodle soup. Jasmine tea with an unfurling jasmine flower in it was a talking point!

Jacob was brilliant, really attentive and nothing was too much trouble. He made the meal basically and we will be back!
