Stayed in Whitstable for the weekend & visited this great pub twice. Very dog friendly, in fact the second time we stopped by we & the dogs had the Sunday roast’s, never been to a pub where they offer doggy dinners before ! Food was great, staff are all really nice, this place is definitely a must to visit.

Little pub tucked way near Zizzi. Like this place, been in here a couple of times before and it has a good vibe. Decor is fresh and there is a gaming machine. Thai Princess is available. Alas, cash only on this visit. Broken PDQ. Always the way. Moretti was the beer. A decent pint. Worth a visit.

Often coming in with my mum and our pooch, Incredibly friendly and warm staff, very clean and well kept, the new decor is perfect. Despite its small size, the passion for good customer service and their new menu is massive. Their new menu is very well designed and suits anyone. Superb. Stumbled upon this place by chance after cycling from Canterbury. The service was so friendly and the food (Sunday roast) was off the charts. My wife and I are really fussy about roast dinners (we usually make our own because of that), but The Prince Albert nailed it. Great portion sizes and every single item on the plate was excellent. Can’t recommend this place enough. The vegetables were fresh, mange tout, carrots, parsnips and a red cabbage/leek combo - brilliant. Yorkshire pud was large and well risen and the pork and cracking was delicious.

Sh*t-hot, rough-and-ready Whitstable local; puts all this posh nonsense we have in town to shame. Town has pretty much died as a place for normal people these last few years, but this pub is standing firm against the gentrification destruction that has taken place.

I was a little disappointed really as out of offering 3 ale hand pumps none was available although bevertown was which is not really the same as its keg beer. I'm fortunate to own a small second home in Whitstable and went down this week to tidy things up for the first time in two months. Got talking to a guy on the beach - observing the social distancing rules - who happens to be the landlord of The Prince Albert. We're not really pub people but once we all get through this we'll be popping in to say hi because he insisted on going and getting us a bottle of wine from his cellar and it turns out my wife has actually popped in for their fish n chips when she's been down here to see her sister, who lives down here.

I live in Whitstable. A friend and I called in for a drink on Wednesday 18th December. First of all, what a lovely greeting from the lady behind the bar whose name could be Cheryl? She was dressed in the Christmas style and looked like she could have been Mrs Christmas herself. We looked at the menu but weren’t overly hungry so we decided to have two lots of chunky chips. They were only £2 each - incredible for a town pub and they were proper, solid, chunky chips. When we left the lady said goodbye in a really warm way. We will definitely be back there.

Popped in for a drink after a coastal walk. Decided to try the Sunday roast and was not disappointed. I had pork, Mrs M had Lamb Shank. Both really good with so many different veggies and potatoes all for 5p short of a tenner. In a way they are cheating themselves because the portions are so generous we had no room for pud. Starters are £4 and Sweets are £6 (I think). So if you can manage three courses it is hugely good value. Decent beer and friendly people. No evidence of the clientele described in previous reviews.Give the poncy expensive places set up for DFLs a miss and go to this place. Good honest grub. Not many tables so get in early. Although they do Sunday roasts from 12 to 5.

Really nice people but not the best of experiences. No real ale because there's something wrong with the pumps. Ok, fine. Order the food. A good 30 minute wait. Not too had, but now consider we were literally alone. Cumberland sausages, reheated and dry. Paper napkins, dirty because of a dirty knife (with tomato sauce stains... Odd as nothing we ordered had tomato in it). Good Mac'n cheese. We get the food but only knifes, no forks... I guess it was a bad day but really poor. Again, the staff, really great, but the quality of the food...

I hoped for more. The service was a little inattentive whilst the staff played around with music playlists jumping from one song to another. The food was ok and quite tasty but poorly presented and MASSIVELY overpriced. £80 for a barbecue sharing platter!! This can be got elsewhere and better for half that price. In short, I would not go back.
