I have visited Bracknell for long time and saw this shop closed . Very nice place and lovely atmosphere but sadly managed poorly. No surprised its been permanently closed.
I have just returned from having dinner at this pub. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome. We were shown into the main part of the dinning room which is fairly large and airy. There were only a few other people already eating. We were served by a happy waiter. I am gluten free and never find it hard to find many courses which I can eat. I started with the crab parfait with smoked salmon and prawns whilst my partner had beef on skewers. They were both delicious. For my main course i had calves liver with bacon, spinach and potatoes. The gravy was a red wine sauce which was delicious. It was a very big portion and I did manage to get through the plate. My partner had the beau pork which he said was delicious. We could not manage a dessert but did have two coffees.
The food was really good and I would definitely recommend eating here. The only thing I was put off by was that they added service charge on. I would prefer to have given a tip myself so that the waiter who served us got the tip. Also the amount would be at a discretion of the serves we received.
A pub full of character and a characters met lots of interesting and friendly people in the bar which is square and centrally located which adds to the social elements of the pub layout.
Lovely evening here with family. Fabulous food and friendly waiting staff. Greeted immediately and staff were very attentive. Easy parking. Will be coming back soon
A wonderful place for dinner and celebrate my Mums 89th Birthday. It was very busy. Food was great. Chocolate fountain a huge hit. I would def recommend here for either Lunch or dinner
Brought our granddaughters here as a treat and it delivered. Not fancy but tasty with a good range of flavour. Service was great. We had a boneless platter for 2 and a couple of smaller (kids) meals. We drank cloudy lemonade, beer and bottomless sprite. The kids meals finished off with a whippy ice cream. It was reasonable value and the queue wasn’t too long.
One of the best parts of Nando’s is their attention to details in terms of allergies. Both our granddaughters are coeliacs and eat here regularly without issue.
Have ordered here a lot food is always good but the man that answers the phone has become so rude now think of ordering elsewhere just so I don’t have to speak to him such a shame the food is great.
The opening hours of this cafe are so random. It seems ridiculous to me that they often close at 3pm, which was the case today. Is it a shortage of people? Can’t rely on them, plus the service can be very slow.
Came here from supper on the way home from seeing family and friends. The food was excellent and the service was brilliant. My only criticism, which is what deserved two stars is that there wasn’t the facility for ordering from one’s table, for while I am fully mobile, I have an old and dear friend who uses a wheelchair, and she would need to be able to order from the table.
Although service was acceptable the food was very much below par.
The chicken was dry & only lukewarm warm.
So called Truffle chips, were no more than skinny fries (under cooked)!with a ton of Parmesan cheese.
Lamb shank, Cold in the middle, sauces had skin on the top, mashed potatoes were thick with a goey thick skin, as though they had sat around, gone cold & zapped too many times in a microwave!!! This was returned &!re ordered a lemon chicken pasta.
This was only mildly warm, the pasta had soaked in the majority of the ‘sauce’, which was thick & stodgy.the food didn’t move when cut into, it was solidified. This too was returned!!
Left the restaurant feeling downhearted & hungry, so went to the garage & bought snacks as soon as hungry!!!
Awful food. Beef with black bean sauce was inedible. Slimy texture to the meat and sauce was sweet and glutinous. Kung Po chicken was okay. And they only take cash which is odd considering how long the business has been operating. We wouldn’t go there again.
It's like the KFC chicken of old! Love this chippy, best chips I've eaten, and they are lovely in the shop. We eat here once a week! firm family favourite.
