The best restaurants in Rustington West Arun South East

Poor reception, no communication from waitress, just put menus on table & walked off. No tablecloths, sticky table. Ordered bottle of red wine, waitress brought white wine to table. Food bought out in dribs & drabs, had to ask for some parts as had been forgotten. Lamb shank was tender & tasty, accompanied by peas mixed in with teaspoon mash. Like mash, hate peas. Husbands sizzle dish tasty but cold by time rice appeared. We were ignored after the meal so instead of coffee & liquor just asked for bill. Don't eat out often so was a treat to go out but endeded up an expensive disappointment. Will not go back.

Had a wonderful brunch here, full English breakfast and friends had different but all food was superb as was the service, nothing too much trouble. Quirky booths with lots of games that can be played whilst waiting. Have also been here just for coffee and tea and service is brilliant, will be back again soon.

Purchased couple of their custard tarts. Exceptionally disappointing filling .. bland and tasteless. Nice outer pastry.

We love going here. The owners is so nice, as are the staff. The sandwiches are good and the cake selection is great, as are the prices.

I hadn't been to the street fish bar for almost 3 years as we had poor quality meal back in 2021 but saw reviews had improved & this time I preordered for collection through Deliveroo, despite being ripped off with higher prices than if you order directly over the phone we enjoyed the meal fish was amazing & great size although we thought the chips were anemic wished they were browned & bit crispy & the large chips portion wasnt enough for the price! We'll try them again soon & perhaps ask if they could cook chips a bit longer for us?

Very disappointed with the service, quality and portion sizes recently. The service has been quite frankly bad, youngsters being rude and not listening to orders correctly. Too busy chatting to each other and not listening to the customer. The chips have been poor and portion sizes have been getting much, much smaller. Food order has been wrong on more than one occasion, not what was ordered which is disappointing as the price is not cheap. It is a shame to see this place going downhill. Now we will have to find another local chip shop.

Great tasting curry but there wasn’t much meat in there (chicken) which made for a disappointing portion. Naan tasted stale and was tough, but they made a delightful sag paneer. So some good, some bad, which made for a mediocre review on average. Personally I won’t be ordering here again and will search for a better Indian take out near Rustington.

Visited with friends early on a Saturday evening. Haven't been for quite a while and v disappointed with atmosphere. No table cloths, cheap laminated double sided menu,( like a cheap cafe)! Busy and only 2 front of house staff. One abrupt and seemed stressed. You couldn't hear your own conversations as so noisy. Food ok when it finally arrived! could not wait to leave. Will not be returning. Totally over rated.

We asked for ASAP and they didn't disapoint. The kebabs arrived quickly they were hot and delicious. Great as always. Absolutely delicious.

Came for lunch on a Saturday, great atmosohere, service was very good (staff were very friendly). We were told there was a 30 minute wait for food but the food came out earlier which was great and you know when you’ve had good food as all plates were completely clean. Very impressed and will definitely come back.

Had a takeaway plenty of choice and range of dishes. They have a large restaurant and separate bar area with a buffet style meal option for seated dining.

This was our first visit here and unfortunately our last! A walk in party of 5 we were sat straight away consisting of 2 adults and 3 teenagers on a Saturday night and although it was bustling it's only a small restaurant with around 6 or so tables still unoccupied. Our experience sadly just went downhill from here, after what seemed like an eternity we were abruptly propositioned as to what drinks we would like, which themselves took over 20 minutes to arrive at our table. Upon their arrival we were able to order our poppudums and main meals consisting of 4 mains and naan bread as the youngest wasn't too hungry so agreed to share. The meals arrived almost an hour later transferred to our table through the use of 3 small squeaky trolleys without so much as an apology or explanation. It was apparent at this point that the numerous comings and goings of the public collecting takeaways was their priority and those choosing to dine in were the second class citizens and will wait until they can squeeze you in. The food was bland, unseasoned and rather small in size, certainly not of the standard of other local restaurants to justify such a long wait. The final straw was upon receipt of the bill, when it comes to quality of meal I'm happy to pay and expect to pay a premium. This was far from it, a large coke consisting of 2 cans poured into a pint glass for £5.50, I mean really!!!?? Then to top it all off a service charge added to the bill of £11 for almost non existent, rude and poor SERVICE!? Ridiculous! So in all £120.00 for one of the worst overpriced meals I've ever experienced! Steer clear I'm afraid!

Ordered a “Ham and Pineapple” pizza and it came with more mushrooms than the rest of the actual supposed toppings, I am allergic to mushrooms so my pizza went straight in the bin. The delivery man was mad at me for living down a 1 way street and that I didn’t pick up the phone as soon as he rung (I was helping my disabled dad out of his wheelchair) but no i got attitude. Chicken strips here are delicious tho so it depends what you order and which bloke delivers your food I guess.
