Food was absolutely atrocious!..microwave jacket potatoes..over cooked dry stringy chicken..beef so fatty it couldn't be cut..raw burger..the list could go on and on..such a shame as it looks a lovely pub and the young waiting staff did a great job..just let down by the food!

Don't advertise yourself as dog friendly if you want people with dogs to sit in the garden all weathers. It's the same as advertising smoking friendly

Made a booking for 8pm online, arrived at 7.45 and on arrival they told us that they were shutting the kitchen at 8pm. Had to rush a food order in otherwise we wouldn't get anything. Then whilst waiting, the unprofessional behaviour from the kitchen staff was embarrassing. A kitchen worker repeatedly emerged from the kitchen to barrack and swear at staff telling them to stop taking orders - All in full view and earshot of customers. Stomping around the place like a petulant child with Tourette's. I can accept that on rare occasions the early closure of a kitchen could be caused by unforeseen staff shortages in any establishment. However, this is the 3rd time I have seen this happen here in the past 3 months! On one occasion we had to revise our plans as there was no food available despite having made a booking and arriving in good time for it. There is clearly a long term problem here with staff retention that management are unwilling or unable to solve. Maybe new management is needed?

Yet again another amazing meal, best roast YET we had today, veg spot on, spuds sport on, meat spot on, everything spot on Thank you Chrisy, Vicky and Sam, you have my custom again. Thank you Elaine and team for great bar service

Great for a fairly reasonably priced family meal out

Aimee and Ollie are hands down the best bar staff I’ve ever met—I honestly can’t praise them enough! From the second you walk in, they make you feel like the most important person in the room. Their energy is infectious, their service is flawless, and they always go above and beyond to make sure you’re having the best time. Aimee is an absolute gem—so warm, so attentive, and always making sure everything is perfect. And Ollie? An absolute legend! He’s quick, he’s charismatic, and he somehow knows exactly what you need before you even ask. Together, they’re the ultimate dream team, and I genuinely can’t imagine a better duo behind the bar. I adore them both, and they make every night out unforgettable!

We popped in for a couple of drinks and games of pool last night and were served by Naomi and Aimee, they were lovely, friendly and really helpful

Myself and my partner came on valentines night. We were met by a lovely girl who showed us to our seats. The service was really good, the food was as really good aswell. We were served my Leanne she made us feel very welcome. Thank you for a lovely evening

Food was absolutely fantastic, the atmosphere was lovely and the 2 for 13.99 came in very handy and saved me and my mum money. The bar staff were very helpful and made ordering easy and quick. We were served by Aimee who served with a smile and made us feel very welcome. Thank you very much for a lovely visit Aimee.

This is a very good venue for a meal. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The menu is quite comprehensive and the meals are very well cooked and presented. They give very good value for their meals. We eat here regularly and will continue to do so.

Atrocious! We waited for over an hour for our subpar meal which was obviously frozen/ microwaved. No reason as to why it took so long either, it was a quiet Tuesday night, the other diners sat next to us also had to wait an hour for food. Lots of staff on shift who were unhelpful and loudly swearing, only one bartender looked like he was doing his job! Food is cheap in fairness but I do not recommend as it was awful in every aspect- food, service and atmosphere!

Omg one of the best places around. You do have a wait for food but it is well worth the wait I promise you, and there's a wait for a reason, and p.s don't forget to book as the big place is always full

Food was good and reasonably priced but the wait for the food was an hour.

We went here for dinner (2 of us) but got turned away . We arrived at 8:30pm on a Saturday night to be told the kitchen had already started being shut down for the day. Stated it says 9pm on the website but was told again that we were not able to get any food. Very disappointed and won't be returning.

Came in on Friday 24th January ordered a rump steak it was fatty and grizzly and rubbery sent it back as I couldn't eat it they sent another one out which was exactly the same not even edible very very dissapointed

I actually had an evening meal there on Tuesday 21st January with a friend and then treated my Grandaughter to lunch on Wednesday 22nd January both visits were lovely. Food was great and service efficient and friendly. I have never had any issues at the Lamb and the food is not only good to eat but great value as well. Definitely our go to place to eat.

Always a lovely meal when we visit. Food is great and portion sizes are big 👌 they do some great deals on the meals as well.

We visit every January and going to the Lamb inn is always one of our highlights! We had a wonderful meal and bogoff which was good. There was a little confusion as they said it would be £8.99 but we paid the usual price- I'm guessing the 2 deals couldn't overlap. I feel like this does need to be made clearer.

We went there today Jan 8th for lunch ,it's always good value and excellent food but today it was an amazing price of just £9.99 for 2 meals on there buy one get one free deal also buy 1beer get another free ,wine was the same deal with meal ,just for January, we had the gammon steak,chips ,peas and Tom, it was all amazing thank you all the lovely staff to,fromm Paul and Brenda Kenward 😀

The speed of bar service is incredibly slow. And a couple of the patrons there weee much more snooty than the the occasion or the venue calls for

As always we were treated by the friendly staff as soon as we arrived. We were very impressed by the BOGOF offers available. Very good value for money and a good variety and choice of meals available. We would recommend the Lamb without hesitation. The staff are friendly and welcoming true ambassadors of the pub. So much so we have booked again for Sunday. EXCELLENT!

Some times you do have to wait a bit but we don't mind as we live their food and go there often it's a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff

The best pint of speckled hen I’ve ever enjoyed and the food is delicious. Friendly and spotlessly clean pub with comfort and easy parking. Beer garden, well organised and professional pleasant staff who are always welcoming.

A tiny bit over-priced and limited range especially of Vegan option but well cooked and nice atmosphere.

I went to the Lamb Inn this evening for a couple of pints with my mates. We played pool and watch the football and had a great time! It was really busy and the staff were swept off their feet but they were all very friendly and welcoming!

Booked for the Christmas menu which was Excellant. Just one problem the table was booked for 1pm on a Monday lunchtime but our meal was not served until 1.30pm. It was not very busy although I appreciate there was a table of 12 before us but they had actually finished their first course before we were served. It may have been more acceptable if we had been told there would be a delay and kept informed of the situation. We were told once it was being served up but it was still another 10minutes before it came to our table.

Cheap, very cheap. Meat eaters only really. Middling pub grub.

Not much atmosphere - but place wasn't very busy

It was a very nice meal,I booked it because it was my parents Wedding Anniversary. We all had very nice meals,were not kept waiting too long and they were all nice and hot. The staff were polite and friendly. My dad asked if he could have Christmas Pudding,as it was his Wedding Anniversary. The lady serving said she would see what she could do. She came back and said yes,so we all had that for pudding and it was very nice.

A local pub to me, I visit when I see my family or friends. Always happy with the service.

Was served by daisy, she was so lovely took great care of me and my family when we went to visit the pub can’t wait to go back and try some of the festive treats they have to offer, thanks for the amazing service daisy, we will be coming back soon

Absolutely shockingly bad roast dinner. Stuffing so hard you couldn't cut it at all. The replacement took so long I'd finished my meal but also...was exactly the same 😅 Turkey wasn't real- some sort of processed roll which was like a pasty mush when cut and eaten. Roast potatoes clearly frozen and not even nice ones. Just a not very nice frozen dinner. Not as expensive as some places though but I guess you get what you pay for! The young waiter was friendly and apologetic- not his fault- but it did take an eternity to bring different stuffing and we only had one small jug of gravy per 4 people so had to ask for more, which was brought to us to be fair. Nice people just revolting food.

We had a fab evening tonight, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. There was a quick turn around for the good to be delivered. Leanne was an amazing member of staff and nothing was too troublesome for her and she even came out to fix our pudding order when items were out of stock. Also a big thank you to her for interacting with the youngest member of our party.

Food was cold staff where rude waited 45 mins definitely won't be back

Steak was overcooked , and chicken was cold in the middle. Portions were very small. Food was only warm, not hot . Wasn't going to spoil a birthday by complaining in house. Came for a family celebration.

The staff here are great. Particularly the young man who showed us to our table on a busy Saturday night - who waited on us - really helpful with providing crayons, books, high chairs . Really great and attentive service from him.

Came for lunch on a Saturday, great atmosohere, service was very good (staff were very friendly). We were told there was a 30 minute wait for food but the food came out earlier which was great and you know when you’ve had good food as all plates were completely clean. Very impressed and will definitely come back.

Another great pub ,great beer and food

This was from couple of weeks ago.... Food and drinks was very good, staff was very good and welcoming..... 06/11/2024 We had dinner at The Lamb in Rustington this evening. After dinner, I went onto the app to see what puddings there were and saw that there weren't any cheesecakes in stock, I particularly wanted to try the biscoff one, a staff member said there was plenty but to order via till as they weren't on the app yet. So I went up to the till to then be told there wasn't any cheesecakes, I went back to table to see what I could pick instead and ordered something else. When that was brought out I mentioned the cheesecake to that member of staff and was told it had just been taken out of the freezer and would be ready in about 30 minutes, I would have been happy to wait. I asked if I could swap and was told no because it had been served. Had it been me, I would have given the £5.49 desert as an apology for messing a customer about, I would have thought that to be better than a bad review. Also we never had a table check for mains or puddings.

Food was delicious, the staff were friendly and our server Leanne was so helpful and kind. Everyone left satisfied with their meal. (A rarity in our house) finally found somewhere that serves vegan ice cream that's also free from soya! My son was so happy to be able to have a pudding!

Generally good. All day breakfast was fine except serving commercial, not butchers, sausages. Staff coped well with serving a large group of elderly people.

Always pretty busy over the weekends, has pool and darts, had alot of dj, bands, singers put on with no charge for entry. Drinks are reasonable priced as is the food

Turned up to be greeted with a sign that said 30 minute wait for food. No problem there. Met by a waitress who showed us to the table and that was it. Eight of us decided on food, went to the bar to order it to then be told “we’re out of that”! Had to then go back to the table to change peoples orders. I can understand items being out of stock by why not tell the waitress who welcomes people so you don’t order what’s not available and then have to go back to the table. Even worse, on returning there was a long queue, so we gave up and went elsewhere. Lot of money lost for a simple solution!!

The venue was good but done of the other customers were rude and abusive, criticising other patrons without cause.

Food was awful waited 45 minutes for our main I had the rib combo the chicken breast was realy dry and the chicken leg was full of brown stuff when I cut into it looked like bone marrow but actually in the meat the chips tasted like they where stale and old a full of oil the onion rings where soggy and not crispy just horrible food I wouldn’t recommend eating here I have severe food poisoning would not be getting my money ever again

Visited The Lamb for drinks with friends and to watch the football and racing !! Plenty of pool and plenty of beers but unfortunately the fruit machine doesn’t like my mode of fishing 🎣 Great service from Ollie, Aimee, Elaine, Rachel and the kitchen staff who were worked extremely hard !!! Will definitely visit again soon !!

50 minutes wait, despite us being the first in. One lasagna undercooked and one overcooked.

The only thing about it is that there are no gluten free desserts.

We are an 84 yrs old couple who have enjoyed coming here in the past. However, today, our Sunday lunch was brought out burnt. I complained to the manager who told me to speak quietly as it would create a bad impression for other customers. We were then told to leave and not come back and that we were banned. We left upset and disgusted that at being treated like this at 84 yrs old when all we did was to let the manager know what was wrong as is our right to do

Very disappointing meal. A Sunday roast. Beef was so chewy you couldn't eat it. Potatoes some were well done and you couldn't get a fork in. Stuffing ball absolutely rock hard . Carrots undercooked. On a more positive note we were given more gravy when we asked

Love the food, staff are amazing. Great atmosphere. Honestly, it’s a great place to visit if you are ever in Rustington.

Ordered food for dinner. There was a 30 mins delay before the staff came on which was fine, but when the food arrived I felt it had been sat under hot lights for some time and was over cooked around the edges.

Great place for a quick bite. Sat outside as the weather was ok, for a change. Service was good and the staff were very friendly. Took a little while for our food to arrive, but at least it was freshly cooked and tasted great. The only letdown was that a rowdy bunch turned up and spoiled the quiet ambiance.

The food on the whole is very good but slightly disappointing today as the Ciabatta cheesy garlic bread was anything but ciabatta- maybe a heads up would have been helpful…The ribs and Roast chicken were delicious!

We popped in on a random Sunday and had the meat platter sharing thing. It was good value and we enjoyed it. Just a shame the ribs were over cooked (felt like that had been cooked the day before and then cooked too long in reheating, some of the meat was so hard it was inedible) but the meat in the middle of the bones was good. The beef brisket was impressive looking but I want sure on the flavour and the chicken (although tasty) lacked being cramped up. It has a pale colour and the skin was slimy. The corn was a bit watery and tasteless - it needed seasoning and less boiling. The thing is though you get what you pay for. The prices here are amazing and the meat is as good as you will get for that price. I usually have the steak and will likely return to that on the next visit. Ice-cream needs improving though, it wouldn’t cost much more to have a better vanilla ice-cream. Service spectacular as always. Great customer service in all the staff. I enjoy interacting with them. Toilets clean and good.
