Came for lunch on a Saturday, great atmosohere, service was very good (staff were very friendly). We were told there was a 30 minute wait for food but the food came out earlier which was great and you know when you’ve had good food as all plates were completely clean. Very impressed and will definitely come back.

This was from couple of weeks ago.... Food and drinks was very good, staff was very good and welcoming..... 06/11/2024 We had dinner at The Lamb in Rustington this evening. After dinner, I went onto the app to see what puddings there were and saw that there weren't any cheesecakes in stock, I particularly wanted to try the biscoff one, a staff member said there was plenty but to order via till as they weren't on the app yet. So I went up to the till to then be told there wasn't any cheesecakes, I went back to table to see what I could pick instead and ordered something else. When that was brought out I mentioned the cheesecake to that member of staff and was told it had just been taken out of the freezer and would be ready in about 30 minutes, I would have been happy to wait. I asked if I could swap and was told no because it had been served. Had it been me, I would have given the £5.49 desert as an apology for messing a customer about, I would have thought that to be better than a bad review. Also we never had a table check for mains or puddings.

Food was delicious, the staff were friendly and our server Leanne was so helpful and kind. Everyone left satisfied with their meal. (A rarity in our house) finally found somewhere that serves vegan ice cream that's also free from soya! My son was so happy to be able to have a pudding!

Generally good. All day breakfast was fine except serving commercial, not butchers, sausages. Staff coped well with serving a large group of elderly people.

Always pretty busy over the weekends, has pool and darts, had alot of dj, bands, singers put on with no charge for entry. Drinks are reasonable priced as is the food

Turned up to be greeted with a sign that said 30 minute wait for food. No problem there. Met by a waitress who showed us to the table and that was it. Eight of us decided on food, went to the bar to order it to then be told “we’re out of that”! Had to then go back to the table to change peoples orders. I can understand items being out of stock by why not tell the waitress who welcomes people so you don’t order what’s not available and then have to go back to the table. Even worse, on returning there was a long queue, so we gave up and went elsewhere. Lot of money lost for a simple solution!!

Food was awful waited 45 minutes for our main I had the rib combo the chicken breast was realy dry and the chicken leg was full of brown stuff when I cut into it looked like bone marrow but actually in the meat the chips tasted like they where stale and old a full of oil the onion rings where soggy and not crispy just horrible food I wouldn’t recommend eating here I have severe food poisoning would not be getting my money ever again

Visited The Lamb for drinks with friends and to watch the football and racing !! Plenty of pool and plenty of beers but unfortunately the fruit machine doesn’t like my mode of fishing 🎣 Great service from Ollie, Aimee, Elaine, Rachel and the kitchen staff who were worked extremely hard !!! Will definitely visit again soon !!

50 minutes wait, despite us being the first in. One lasagna undercooked and one overcooked.

We are an 84 yrs old couple who have enjoyed coming here in the past. However, today, our Sunday lunch was brought out burnt. I complained to the manager who told me to speak quietly as it would create a bad impression for other customers. We were then told to leave and not come back and that we were banned. We left upset and disgusted that at being treated like this at 84 yrs old when all we did was to let the manager know what was wrong as is our right to do

Very disappointing meal. A Sunday roast. Beef was so chewy you couldn't eat it. Potatoes some were well done and you couldn't get a fork in. Stuffing ball absolutely rock hard . Carrots undercooked. On a more positive note we were given more gravy when we asked

Ordered food for dinner. There was a 30 mins delay before the staff came on which was fine, but when the food arrived I felt it had been sat under hot lights for some time and was over cooked around the edges.

Great place for a quick bite. Sat outside as the weather was ok, for a change. Service was good and the staff were very friendly. Took a little while for our food to arrive, but at least it was freshly cooked and tasted great. The only letdown was that a rowdy bunch turned up and spoiled the quiet ambiance.

We popped in on a random Sunday and had the meat platter sharing thing. It was good value and we enjoyed it. Just a shame the ribs were over cooked (felt like that had been cooked the day before and then cooked too long in reheating, some of the meat was so hard it was inedible) but the meat in the middle of the bones was good. The beef brisket was impressive looking but I want sure on the flavour and the chicken (although tasty) lacked being cramped up. It has a pale colour and the skin was slimy. The corn was a bit watery and tasteless - it needed seasoning and less boiling. The thing is though you get what you pay for. The prices here are amazing and the meat is as good as you will get for that price. I usually have the steak and will likely return to that on the next visit. Ice-cream needs improving though, it wouldn’t cost much more to have a better vanilla ice-cream. Service spectacular as always. Great customer service in all the staff. I enjoy interacting with them. Toilets clean and good.

The food on the whole is very good but slightly disappointing today as the Ciabatta cheesy garlic bread was anything but ciabatta- maybe a heads up would have been helpful…The ribs and Roast chicken were delicious!

Went recently and both myself and partner ordered the grill platter. We were asked how we would like our steak, mine needed to be fully cooked; it came out bloody. We had waiting 45 minutes to get our food, the pub was not busy at all and really didn't warrant waiting so long. Did not come with onion rings as stated. We sent back our steak to he cooked through, we had to remind the waiter about it when we finished our meal and still hadn't got the steak back. When it did come back, it was black and tougher than an old boot. It was also cold. Will definitely NOT be eating here again, such a disappointment.

Ordered hunters chicken - kitchen had an issue so no hot skillets being used, had no garlic bread, no chips,meals arrived chicken was freezing cold, so sent back - this was changed and was warm but still not hot. Portion sizes very small. Female who served us very unfriendly, no apology given.

1st time walking into the lamb inn at roughly 19:30, in a group of 4 men working away seeking to partake in the local pub quiz. It looked relatively busy so our hopes were high!! Ahead of us at the bar were 2 young women being berated by an old woman which turnt out to be a member of staff. It turnt out the women were being moaned at by the before mentioned member of staff about ordering food whilst having children with them and they should have ordered food earlier. Her exact words at the end of the conversation were “just don’t do it again next time”. The women looked horrified with the member of staffs response and stated they will not being returning to this establishment again. At that point we should have expected nothing less than what happened next….. To provide context the ages of our group were 46, 33, 22 & 18. We asked if they were serving food and was told no, unless we wanted an 90 minute wait. So we thought we would just order some drinks and take part in the quiz after a long day at work. So we ordered 3 alcoholic beverages and the 18 year old T-total lad ordered a Coca-Cola/Pepsi. We were told swiftly that the 18 year old T-total lad would need to provide ID to drink a soft drink or would not be able to sit with us within the area of the pub which the pub quiz is taking part in. I’m sure this may be a rule within this establishment but this is one of the most ridiculous rules we have ever heard in our accumulative 47 years of drinking and eating in pubs. Like I said previously we should have seen the warning signs that this wasn’t an establishment that values customers (maybe unless you are a local) I would recommend any new people thinking of going here steer clear, this is not an establishment that makes you feel welcomed and treated like a valued customer. We went to the Establo Lounge cafe bar down the road and the food was delightful and the staff were extremely pleasant. An added bonus our 18 year old friend wasn’t asked for ID for a SOFT DRINK!!!

Waited over an hour for food after they even rang my daughter in law to come earlier than we originally booked Had to ask twice where our food was when we realised people who came after us had eaten and left We went on Thursday 11th July

Well what an experience, we ordered and paid for food at 8:45 pm, half time of the football a pretty reasonable time to eat. Was then informed the kitchen had closed and we needed to be refunded. To make sure we ate, ordered Uber. Managed arrived the table and stated protesting that we can’t eat food not brought at the restaurant in a restaurant, obviously forgetting his kitchen was closed, after being reminded, he continued his protest, accused us of being rude. All in, terrible experience, don’t recommend a trip as people travelling form anywhere other than Littlehampton are obviously inferior. Football was great as we won.

Busy afternoon locally meant Sunday roast unfortunately wasn't available in evening. Alternative fish and chips and scampi chosen which were both spot on. Landlord advised on wine bottle being better value than multi-glass so much appreciated as ullage taken home. Sweet was excellent and Abbott ale was on point. Overall - welcome, service, helpful advice and food plus value-for-money - excellent.

*I'm not a fan of sports pubs. Luckily there was no sound on the TV. It was very quiet on our lunchtime visit. REALLY NICE being able to take the dogs. Wasn't nice seeing no water in ANY of the dogs bowls put out by the Pub. This means either the staff were extremely neglectful, the staff couldn't be bothered, the bowls were just a gimic by the Pub to draw punters in. Could possibly be all three. Luckily I carry my own water for the dogs. Disabled parking space is a joke. people smoking less than 1 meter from a main entrance. Ashtrays placed near the door to encourage smoking at the entrance. HOLD YOUR BREATH BEFORE ENTERING.

Not impressed. Website said dog friendly but when we arrived, on a very windy night, we were told dogs only welcome outside. Ordered food for outside, which was mediocre and waitress was not helpful. When I asked for the cutlery she pointed to a wooden cabinet and told me to get it. I wouldn’t say it was human friendly or dog friendly. Won’t be back.

I have done a couple of reviews before, 1 excellent 1 not as good so I think it’s about time I did another. We eat and drink here quite a lot. Setting is lovely, food always smells nice, looks good and is always tasty. Blue light card is accepted and gives you a great discount off of an already cheap menu. Chefs clearly pay attention as the food for us is consistently very tasty. Nothing to complain about here really, one criticism though,,,,O there isn’t one. Keep up the great work 👍, it’s very hard to build a fantastic team, but this pub has it, well worth spending your money in here. AAA+++

This is our regulate place to go. Always great food and first class service. Katie, the waitress, is always friendly and has a smile on her face, a real credit to the pub. Will be back again soon.

I had the pleasure speaking to Elaine (The Boss Lady) who was lovely, We were were served at bar by Bethany, this is the second time she has served us and she has been polite, and always smiling, such A lovely meal out with the Family. Unfortunately it was A wet day so the kids were not able to play in the play area.

Poor quality. Meal was not appetising at all.

Didn't have food this time but it is always delicious and plenty of it. Was busy so had a bit of a wait. Some staff we're a little abrupt to some waiting but nice to us as we appreciated that it was busy and they were stretched. Atmosphere as always good and a nice space to sit and enjoy.

Wanted a child's meal as I am very ill, told they don't do that for adults because the child's meal is highly discounted so I have an adult meal and waste the food.they are the only eatery in Rustinton who frown on adult having a child's meal. Not very good

This was a second visit to eat at The Lamb Rustington and unfortunately we needed to return all the 6 meals. The plate was hot but the food was cold. We were then told that they had run out of Vegetables and the main meal would be made up of frozen vegetables. This was at 3pm in the afternoon. When the food came out again it was OK but not enjoyable. 2 hours later we went into the Lemon Grass across the road as we were still hungry, and had a fab meal. We wished we had gone there instead.
