Had breakfast here Monday morning & there were several tables available but was shown to a small one I couldn't fit into as cramped corner seat was at an angle. Asked if could have a better table & pointed to empty ones but was told they were reserved for people who did prebook & that I hadn't reserved a table. Couple then arrived & hadn't booked either & were shown to the table we wanted to move to. Single man then arrived also ..said he hadn't booked & was shown to another table available & a further couple who hadn't booked arrived and were shown to a better table. My table was moved away from the wall whilst I collected a cup of tea, but no apology received for the sarcastic tone stating she knew what I meant but that's that!! Young server however was lovely & explained procedure for Continental/english breakfast. Viewed Continental breakfast which consisted of 4 flavoured kids' squash.. no orange juice option. Milk jug for tea/coffee/cereal was around 5litres/huge & heavy & unable to lift as full to the top, so also spilt when asked for help! No sweetener available, & only several overdone croissants, muffins, crumpets, toast, pancakes & small pan au chocolat, 2 tubs with runny fruit in (not ideal for kids!) & a few yoghurts, granola, rice Krispies, Alpen, coco pops cornflakes.. all very bland & none of it presented nicely & no ham or cheese available, although described as continental! Bin enclosed under counter of coffee machine, unclear & need both hands to throw away teabags etc. Menu also misleading as states unlimited English breakfast when in fact, you have to state which items you want in your fried breakfast with no option to replace those items you don't want with an alternative, despite being charged the same price of £10.99. Usually an unlimited option implies a buffet, but this is not the case at all. I didn't eat anything from the Continental selection as none of it was appealing for adults at all & really wanted an orange juice. So in conclusion £10.99 for an English breakfast which was very bland tasting, I would not recommend this place for breakfast. Never been here for lunch/dinner & can only hope it's better than my breakfast experience.

Delicious meal, served by friendly waitress Kayleigh. I visit the adhacent Premier Inn for several days twice a year and was greeted by Kayleigh as she remembered us. A very warm welcome.

Poor service, chaotic, unprofessional attitude from staff

Had to wait quite a while for attention at the reception area . I'm not a negative person normally but I found the place shabby. It looked like it needed a good spruce up. Some of the fruit bowls were empty. Took ages for the cooked breakfast to come . On the positive side When the food came it was lovely. The sausages tasted great and the eggs were done perfectly, I'm fussy with my mushrooms but they were perfect.

A lovely beefeater with kind staff and a manager you can have a joke with. The food was standard beefeater, that is too say very good as usual.

Perfect place for a family meal, the food is pretty gpod to be fair, and close to historic Arundel always a plus , the place could do with a refurb as tables and chairs showing their age ...

We were welcomed and shown to a table, a waitress took our order promptly and it arrived perfectly and was delicious!

Staff here are very friendly. We ordered the unlimited breakfast, and we found that the wait to be served and have our food at the table took some time, but I can understand. This was a busy time for them on a Saturday. Regardless of this, the food was yummy and loved the availability of continental options to. I would imagine breakfast is there peak time for them, compared to usual dinning. Overall good service.

Wow, Wow, Wow!!!! Tonight was our 1st visit to Crossbush Beefeater - We were given a warm welcome on arrival. We were advised of food items that weren't available. Our waitress 'Hazel' was Marvellous!!! I asked if the Spare ribs could be done without bbq sauce & I got told "Yes" - I was thrilled!!! Asked if any offers on cocktails- told "Yes" 2 for £10.. ordered A Beefeater Signature Berrytini & Beefeater Sgnature Negroni. Husband & I had Starters & Main. Too full to have desserts. We both thoroughly enjoyed food & drinks!!! Great Atmosphere & comfy sitting. Friendly staff. Great visit!!!

Had Sunday lunch 6 people,the staff were excellent eventhough they were very busy,the Sunday roasts were delicious at a very reasonable price 10/10

Used to go nearly every month, hadn't been for years , and pleasantly surprised, I had a well done steak which chefs don't like but it was cooked to perfection my daughter ordered hers medium rare and was also cooked to perfection, the fire alarm test was handled really well, having been in the trade years ago I take my hat off to the team there , and would highly recommend.

What a pleasant experience. We booked for a table of 5 for a Sunday, we had an automated AI system that booked our table correctly for us only 40 minutes before we went there. Our food was tasty it was standard ‘pub’ food. I would say the prices were on the steeper side for the quality, but it did taste nice. Others in my party did want a roast but they had run out, but we did book ‘last minute’ so we understood. The deserts were lovely. Our waitress Hazel I believe her name was, was very sweet and kind. That makes all the difference, it’s rare to get a service like that and she’s an asset to their team. I’m veggie, but there were plenty of veggie and vegan options despite the business name ‘beefeater’. Overall, I’d come again. Thank you all :)

We have eaten at a few places in Arundel the last few months, but recently discovered Crossbush Beefeater. So good that it's now our 'go to' place. Forget the rest, try the best. Really calming atmosphere and décor. I recommend the two course lunchtime menu with delicious gluten free option. Food is just perfect, soup piping hot- and served with a smile by the lovely 'Freddy the French Lady'.... :-) Thank you. x

Nice spot of lunch today at the Crossbush Beefeater with my family. Food is nicely cooked and well presented. Staff were friendly and attentive. ——————————————————————— Visited again today on the 10/02/24 for breakfast. The place was ram packed and the staff were amazing, coping extremely well with the busy breakfast rush and always smiling. I would recommend pre booking a table for breakfast here as its very popular. The gentleman (who i assume is the manager) is very professional and very good at his job with some light humour he made us feel very welcome and relaxed with the help of his amazing team. 👍🏼 The breakfast itself is great value for money with your self service Continental spread, followed by a full English breakfast with items and quantities of your choice. Very tasty too 😋 Thank you 🙏

Food took ages. We had a Sunday roast. It tasted lovely. We only had 2 small slices of meat.

I really enjoyed having a meal here as it was clean and the staff couldn't be more helpful, I will certainly eat there again, another reason that I liked it was because it was so easy to park.

Long wait for food to arrive, 40min. Tasted fine but almost a vegetarian roast ! 2 tiny and I mean tiny slices of beef. They need to turn the heating on as pretty cold in the restaurant. Shame really could be good . A Beefeater without beef!

Very slow service for breakfast took over 40 minutes to get our cooked breakfast. Lots of the breakfast things continental wise where empty , there couldnt even keep on top of the cups for coffee we had to ask , no one seemed to be checking the replenishment , seemed to be when you asked it was done

Two visits, of varying quality. Food is ok; cheap and cheerful, but some fries were not enjoyable having been cooked in the same oil as fish. Food and service also took a very long time, with little apology. A nice place, with good potential, but not great if they are busy.

Booked a table for 7 , got there to be told its not on system. Although we did get seated in a few minutes. Food was mediocre to be fair , wrong cooking to various steaks ,. Courteous staff .

Attended on Sunday to have a breakfast. Food was great and plenty of choices available, I would recommend highly as the staff were fab and brilliant value for money and excellent service, would definitely go there when I'm in the vicinity..FAB.

Staff friendly but only 1 serving food and drinks so washed rushed off her feet, tatty interior, carpet looks years old and is that stretched it's a trip hazard, toilet seats broken off, no hot water in toilet to wash hands, it's by far the worst Beefeater I've been in

We went for breakfast today. Continental was excellent, with a good selection. The coffee machine was broken a couple of times but they fixed quickly. Hot breakfast was very disappointing, bacon was tasteless, mushrooms for dry and poached eggs were slippery with dippy yolk. Staff were friendly and prompt though.

Service from staff was great, happy to see us and all interactions with staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was very busy so service was a little slow The fillet steak was a little chewy and I'd also avoid the Fries. Drinks were served quickly. We didn't have a desert as portion size on the main dish was enough on its own. Atmosphere was very pleasant, and the restaurant and toilets were clean. We had a 50% off voucher for black Friday (didn't include the fillet steak which we knew in advance) Would we have paid full price for the food?.. probably, but would have said something about the steak and fries if we had. Nice evening, great staff and 2 of the 3 dishes were lovely.

We were put in a corner room and felt forgotten about. The food took ages to come and was cold when it arrived. Dessert menus were offered but never brought.

Ordered 2 courses off lunch menu. Thought I'd been given a kids version of burger it was that small, small bit of tomato and half a lettuce leaf. No butter or sauce of any kind. Totally dissatisfied with what was dished up for the cost. Small bit of garlic bread for 1st course. I don't have a big appetite but went away still hungry.

Breakfast service improvement Went to Crossbush for a birthday breakfast. Had to do 2 trips, so I arrived 40 minutes early, expecting to buy a coffee in the bar and wait. I was allowed to grab a coffee from the breakfast counter and sit and wait for the rest of my group. When everyone was here, got taken to table and told to help yourselves to the continental breakfast. Some items had run out, but the staff were quick to replenish when told. Sarah even brought a strawberry yogurt directly to the table. She took our order and was great with my little boy, who just wanted everything, and took note of any special requests. Food took a little longer than normal to come out, but it was very busy, and when it did come out, was hot and exactly what we ordered. On our previous 2 visits here this is what had let them down, so a much improved service this time. Sarah checked back with us and my little boy wanted another sausage, which was brought to the table. When it came to the bill, was nicely surprised when told it was 2 free kids per adult (1 was only expecting 1 to 1).

Poor slow service. Ribs and chicken combo. Both meats we're dry. I was trying it, with the view to booking for Christmas lunch. Sadly it's not the place for me.

Called here few nights in row lovely food staff absolutely brill.wont be going anywhere else when down this way .Megan put up with lot of my banter true proffesional love them all.

Back in the area for my annual trip down here and a stay again next door at the PI.Dined here for tea and always a good excuse for a mixed grill :) (expecially when work pays) have to say this was the best mixed grill I've had from here in the years I've stayed here!Steak cooked perfectly and not a single chewy bit left on the plate.Rest of the meal was equally excellent, piping hot at the table and well presented - you've found a great chef and kitchen team it seems! Hold on to them.Megan was a great host in the restaurant and took the time to have a quick friendly chat despite it being fairly busy.Breakfast in the morning was good too. Usual array to help yourself too and plenty of it, and the cooked breakfast was great and as expected. Sorted me for the mornings drive to my next site.All in all another great experience at this venue. See you next year.

Dined here a day ago with my other half, I have had steaks in many large chain eateries, this was my first visit to a beefeater since, well a couple of decades ago. Lovely surroundings, casual dining, not at all stuffy like some. We were served by Megan who was cheerful attentive and couldn't do enough. I had a ribeye steak which I have say was amazing cooked to perfection, full of flavour and not a single tough, chewy or stringy bit to be found by far the best steak I have had on a night out in a very long time. So if you fancy a decent steak this is a great place to go. Great friendly staff and brilliant steaks, congratulation to all, great job.

Went for a evening meal with my husband, we have been here many times and enjoyed it but this visit was the best, the food was perfect, I had surf and turf and it was cooked exactly as requested, my husband had the mushroom starter which he loved followed by fish and chips which throughly enjoyed, the staff are always so lovely and have time for you, to staff id like to mention are Carol who makes you feel so welcome and is always so engaging and why we keep coming back customer service is top notch, second member of staff us our waitress Kayleigh she couldn't do enough for us and is happy to help with a smile and laugh, thanks for a great evening x

We met friends and although our booking wasn’t on the system, we were shown to a table where a very proficient waitress called Freddy looked after us all evening. She was pleasant and professional, taking the time to check our needs and serve us. It was a great experience with first class food and excellent service. Will definitely return soon

Hazel was our server and was super polite and helpful. The food was good value and really tasty. The good was excellent quality. Hazel was really engaging and was particularly good with my son who is on the spectrum.

We visited on 24th July and had a wonderful evening! The biggest highlight for us was our absolutely lovely waitress Kayleigh. She was so down to earth and friendly, as well as professional and efficient. Kayleigh really is a true asset to your team!! Moving on to the food, it was really tasty and came out swiftly considering they were very busy! Nice and hot, very flavoursome lamb chops and lovely crispy onion rings. Overall a great experience and can't wait to return soon!

Service fine by attentive staff, ordered freshly battered haddock fillet with chips and peas for £13.99. What arrived was a very greasy fillet with soggy flat batter obviously straight out the freezer and not freshly battered. Complained and exchanged this for sirloin steak and chips. That was fine but a very tight portion of chips and garnish and not worth £15.99. This I sat and ate on my own as my partner had already had her meal. On asking for the bill no refund was offered for the inconvenience and only after further complaint was a refund offered. Won’t be returning.

Excellent Sunday breakfast today. Quality and presentation of food was excellent as was the customer service by all the staff - special mention for Lily who was fairly new, but her service was brilliant, very helpful and friendly. Would recommend for a brilliant breakfast!

Booked on the phone by an automated booking system. Arrived and the coronovirus information was clear and precent at the entrance . We were greeted by a nice lad who took our details and took us to our table . We were then given Megan as our waitress and she was very polite and didn't rush us at all . Also we had another waitress who helped out in-between. And was very polite as well . The food was amazing . My partner has rare steak and it came out absolutely spot on . The whole meal and experience is 6 stars not just the limit of 5 . Was nice to see happy staff and a great meal . Definitely will be back again . Shame I didn't take a picture of the presentation of food as that was brilliant as well . Great job to the whole team .

Absolutely terrible! Long wait just to get a spoon for coffee then first full English arrived un edible poached egg was rock hard hash browns cold whole plate looked like it had sat under heat lamp for sometime! They changed it but unfortunately the second one was equally as bad with rubber bacon cold beans and raw tomatoes when questioned if everything was ok I told them I wasn’t happy and was told this is how it was cooked and that grilled tomato’s were oven baked (so not grilled as stated ) toast never arrived and when the pancakes finally arrived cold and rubbery looking manager told me it’s how it’s cooked and the chef knows what he’s doing!!! , sadly I won’t return and I won’t be recommending

Excellent service, and meal. Was served by Hazel and Kirsty who were respectful, understanding of my allergy needs. They checked if the foods I ordered were suitable on the main allergen guide as well as the one handed to me at the table. Also, they came over to check if everything was okay. Food was great, and no reactions, it was a pleasure to have a meal knowing that you looked after and safe. Thank you

We stayed at the Arundel Premier Inn and had all our breakfasts at the attached Beefeater restaurant. The breakfasts are lovely and vegetarian friendly. Lots of options available! The staff are very welcoming, particularly we wanted to thank Hazel who is very friendly and goes above and beyond to ensure you have an enjoyable meal!

Dropped in for a quick bite after a very busy day at the castle - Mum, Dad, 3yo and baby - but ended up staying for two courses and coffee. Lovely service. The food was up quickly - but not too quickly - and everything was hot and delicious. The rump steak in particular was very tasty. The children cleared their pretty sizeable plates and demolished desserts too. I must give a *huge* shout out to Shona - brilliant service, kind, funny and amazing with the kids.Thanks for a great visit - we’ll definitely be back!

We booked in to breakfast on the Saturday morning. Due to Coronavirus restrictions it was table service only. We were in a bit of a hurry so informed our server who understood and promptly took our food and drinks order and made sure the order was expedited. There was a good food and drinks selection and our order was served promptly. The staff were friendly, attentive and periodically checked to see if we needed anything else. Overall the breakfast experience couldn't be faulted.My only criticism was there was a lot of McDonalds litter in the car park. As it was early morning I assume it had been there from the evening before. I would have hoped the car park would be cleaned before opening.

Had a lovely meal here last night on our way home. Was our first time and am very impressed. Very pleasant staff great choices on menu for all tastes. From the lasagne to home made meat pie and chicken with cheeses, all plates were cleared enthusiastically. Very good value for money in bright and light surroundings. Wont hesitate to stop here again.

Called in for Sunday roast, we both ordered the lamb rump, wow tasted great, plenty of meat cooked to perfection, plenty of roast potatoes and veg, was a little too much for us both. Water staff we of the highest standard, smartly dressed polite and nothing was too much trouble for them. I would not hesitate to go back again or recommend to friends and family.

Visited twice on Friday 09th October 2020 and the following morning as we were staying at the adjacent Premier Inn for a Mini Break. In the evening we pre-booked and it was pretty quiet. Staff were good but we found pretty average food for £50 for 2 mains and 4 x drinks, not great value. The next morning we had breakfast but again it appears adjusting to Covid restrictions with maybe short staff is a challenge. No normal buffet for breakfast but with no menu offered or available we had to guess what we wanted and ask rather than it being offered. Everything felt like an effort but as I say it maybe just a case of the restaurant struggling with the effects of Covid compliance.

Atmosphere was amazing (very christmassy) delicious food and very friendly staff, would deffinitely recommend.

Had a dinner with my wife and family, great evening, very good service. Restaurant looks so christmasy. What a good start of our festive time. Had a rum steak medium - very tasty and cooked to perfection.

Stayed at the on-site hotel for the weekend and went to the crossbush beefeater for meals and our anniversary dinner Jess and Megan served us with fantastic service from day one. They even went out of their way to give us a anniversary surprise Thank you girls you were brilliant Meal and service was fantastic Will definitely be back

We had a lovely meal tonight , the staff were very attentive,the food was superb and we felt Covid safe it was nice that Katie B took the time to chat to my 10 year old son to ask what he had done during our two night stay. Will definitely pop in next time we are in the area.

We stayed at the premier inn and ate at the Beefeater restaurant attached to the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised as the food was yummy and he service was exceptional. We were served by Carole who was smiley, incredibly helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend and eat here again!

Food was average and not very exciting. Maybe even a bit too expensive for what it was. The staff are very nice and welcoming.

Never am i let down by the staff and food quality here. Even under Covid-19 restrictions, everything including the service is exceptional. The experience was as close to pre Covid-19, as you could wish for. Clean, safe and plenty of space Jess our waitress and Sean GM were amazing too.

My friend and I stayed at the hotel next door, premier inn last minute and we were starving and quickly booked a table at this beefeater, which was very easy and we arrived and only had to wait a few minutes before being seated by Kayleigh and we had a really nice meal, the food was really good quality and really tasty and Kayleigh was lovely, I will be back and would recommend to my friends

Despite not booking especially during covid times we were pleasantly surprised that even though busy they managed to find us a table and it well organised with spacing in the restaurant and the ways in and out. The staff were all friendly and we had a wonderful Sunday dinner roast, just what we needed after a weekend of camping. Kayleigh was our waitress and she served us graciously and politely.The food was lovely the portions were great and the whole experiences was much better than I expected and would definitely come again and recommend to others. We popped in on our way home from shopping. We often go there for lunch as it is quite handy. We were served by a lovely waitress called Denise who could not have been more helpful. My wife and I both had the bourbon ribs which were excellent. The only downside was of course no salt and pepper pots or sauces which I fully understand due to covid, but they came in packets, however this didn’t spoil or lunch and we will be going back again.

First time at this restaurant a bit disappointed arrived at 7pm had drinks by 7.15 and starters by 7.30 did not get mains until 8.30 were told at 8.15 our food was being plated so when it arrived some of the food was only warm did not have a dessert because we did not want to stay much later must admit the staff were very good
