One of the better Spoons. Good range of beer and food in good condition. Decent service. Excellent value for money.

very slow service, ordered a 2 x meals with an Expected delivery of 14 minutes, after 30 mins, enquired about the delay and was confronted with rude staff, and asked to wait as wouldn't be long. still waiting, and asked for refund in the end, which then takes 3 days for bank. refuse to refund drinks that came with meal, when we wouldn't have drank them if we thought we wasent going to be eaten. not an apology for delay or anything. Just rude poor customer service. cheap I know but no excuse for poor manners.

Went in to The Spoons for a Birthday drink,my Birthday. Your drinks prices are amazing!! Had to clear a booth of used food dishes and drinks glasses and ask a bar service member to come and clean our table, they came quite quickly and cleaned the table properly. We had a reasonable couple of hours having a couple of drinks and decided not to stay to eat here,past dissatisfaction with the food put us off. We did notice that the menu was different, more choice and more vegetarian options and I was pleased to see a children's menu with a lot of healthier choices 😋 not all children want chicken nuggets! We did notice that the carpet could do with a good clean and that quite a few tables had been updated, great. We might venture in again for a breakfast soon,it used to be great as we could exchange the horrible hash browns for something else, but, having the breakfast again last time there were no deviations from the menu,hash browns or nothing. If the hash browns were good we would have them but they are rubbish, over cooked and tasteless. Surely there should be an alternative 🤔 Come on Wetherspoons, Littlehampton is a busy holiday spot and we deserve better for residents and holiday makers. ❤🙂 x x

It's Wetherspoons, so you get what you pay for, and it's what you expect. Breakfast was hot and cheap.

A very well presented pub with a grand display of seasonal flowers in full bloom (Sept2024) on front and side the inner court yard. Plenty of seats at rear available when we visited on a Thursday around 2pm. Tables for two along with some booths for 4 along a side wall. The inner courtyard - uncovered - had picnic old style bench seats. The ones where you have to lift your leg over to sit facing table. Alas not suitable for elderly humans like me with hip problems. I could not use! We ordered and paid for at the bar. Our battered cod chips and peas was delivered to our numbered table. It was the best batters cod I’ve had in a long time it was fish shaped (not your usual frozen fish shape) the batter was very crispy and had a great flavour - the chips were very hot and plentiful along with the green peas - first rate. No extra cost for ketchup and condiments. Which you fetched yourself from several stations around the room. Staff were very welcoming and cleared and wiped tables without delay. The overall decor was a bit drab and lighting at the rear near kitchens was poor. Main toilets up stairs (no lift) there is a disabled mixed use toilet on ground floor which is the only customer use level except for toilets. Gents upstairs was spacious with clean soap and electric drier in working order.

Sadly not a good experience here. Steak night but no steak for a mixed grill. 2nd choice fish and chips...no fish & chips. Had to have burgers. The seats of the chairs were sagging, not good for bad backs. There was a hole in the floor of the disabled toilet covered over with black tape, not ideal for disabled people with balance difficulties. The table had not been cleaned by the time the waitress delivered our food, when asked to clean it she made a face, threw a dirty napkin on the table behind us and reluctantly wiped the table. To top it off the trio sitting on the next table were constantly swearing, so as soon as we had finished our meal we left, leaving my drink untouched.

A typical spoons, the staff are friendly and work hard to provide a good service, prices are keen and the food is good value. There's a good team of staff at present and they are all very good and do their very best to keep everything going.

You really cannot beat the value for money and the food is pretty good as well

Saturday evening 29th of June we visited this branch of "Spoons" for a drink and something to eat. This large spacious Pub is located along the High Street in the centre of Littlehampton. It was rather busy as there was a football match, Euro 2024, been shown on the television. We found a table to sit at and ordered our drinks via the App, they were quickly served to our table. Shortly afterwards we ordered our food, sausage and mash and gammon egg and chips. When served our food was most enjoyable and was soon devoured. A well maintained clean pub with friendly and efficient staff, reasonably priced quality food and "Spoons" value drinks.  We were well impressed to see the staff promptly clearing tables and then wiping them down, every time, so clean an ready for the next customer.

Very standard, which was fine for what we were looking for.

Been several times but lately always running out of things this time SALT surely one of the staff could go opposite get some salt lots complaining as cheapest condiment out eventually someone sitting nearby went over the road got some salt whereupon we all shared it this used to be good but standards have slipped no one wants to put themselves out for the customer anymore

We visited for lunch with a large group (25+) of people with learning disabilities on our annual visit to Littlehampton today. It was very busy as you would expect on a sunny summer's day but we were able to find seating for everyone - allbeit slightly spread out. The staff at the bar were very good & showed great patient as everyone ordered separately. The speed at which the food was then served was very impressive . All the food was hot & tasty. Thank you to the whole team!

To be fair to JDW here 😔 they're doing everything right at the George. Good beer, good good, good service and the customers were clearly all enjoying the day... Wish more pubs were like this one

I love going to this weather spoons because the people are very friendly and you can have a good time there

The Wetherspoons chain has gone downhill badly. I've read in newspapers that the curries are frozen and microwaved. I wouldn't mind this and I've had some reasonable ones in the past. However the last few meals and particularly my last curry in this pub was absolutely awful. The naan was dried out, the meat in the chicken curry was fibrous and tough and overcooked, the portion was tiny, the rice was dry, the poppadoms were soggy because they'd been left over the top of the bowl of curry. The dish is supposed to be accompanied with a bowl of mango chutney and always has been, but nowadays they never have mango chutney, and if you query this, you get directed to the table where they have bottles of sauce, where there are bottles of a horrible over sweet sickly mango chutney sauce. Also the pub in the evening is full of drunk locals who are noisy and it is impossible to converse with anybody else at your table unless you also shout. People also stand in the entrance doorway smoking which seems an unpalatable habit. There is no radar key lock on the toilet door for disabled people, and is used by the locals who leave it in an absolute mess

Sticky Korean fried chicken bowl. For those who like spicy food. Very large portion. Great price.

The George is a special place. In the heart of littlehamptom and a great place to meet mates and catch up with a few pints.

Asked for a well done steak came almost burnt black and still blood in side coleslaw was warm won't be having steak again for sure very disappointed plus the couple beside us wasn't impressed how there steak arrived

I will always love Weatherspoons. 16 of us turned up, and all of us were fed and watered fast and efficiently.

We had brunch and evening meal. Brunch eggs benedict was great as was my husbands breakfast. We also had an evening meal which for the price was good. All food hot and well presented and server cheerful. Bar staff also very helpful and friendly. Drinks so cheap.

Good food service was good beers not much choice

Very good service, the staff quickly spotted empty plates / glasses and removed them from the table. Tasty breakfast and nice atmosphere inside as a lot of locals seems to know each other, we were only on a day trip.

Went in just for 2 coffees ☕️ and although the price was good the drinnks were only just warm enough to drink, tried with refills and the same again many others were saying the same thing, not sure if I'll be returning.

Food and service was ok, Had better at other Wetherspoons, Tables need a decent deep clean. Disabled toilet was a disgrace, I'm currently having Chemo for Cancer and have MS but couldn't use the loo. Just surprises me that a company like Wetherspoons allow their loos to be in such a state, Other Wetherspoons can do it.

I came here with my son on my birthday. Whilst here I decided to have my morning poo. The cubicle was spacious and well lit, possibly a little too well lit. The toilet roll dispenser was unconventionally position but easy to access and operate. The toilet roll itself was of superior quality. Would recommend. The experience was good enough not to let the slight lighting issue diminish the rating I gave.

Typical Wetherspoon pub, central location large capacity, excellent choice of beer and decent food selection. Not the most salubrious place but does the job...

Very good food here and very full pub. They have good chef. I think food was better here, then in one of London's Wetherspoons. I recommend this place.

Good food as usual and it has booths which I really like and really super comfy seats. We walked our dog in the park nearby. The street is a little bit scruffy where it is but the actual weather spoons is one of the nicer ones I think

Ordered breakfast and wasn't ctold either at that point, or when the server brought the food and then rapidly disappeared, that there was no toast, as they had no bread left!! It was left to someone sitting at the next table to inform me. I appreciate that going across the road to Lidl to buy a loaf is probably against company policy, but letting your customers know what they are going to receive for their money surely isn't. In addition, the number of very young children running around the pub, was both unpleasantly noisy and I'm sure, potentially dangerous, with hot food and drink being carried in a very crowded room.

Popped in for a meal. Very friendly staff pleasant atmosphere not too busy.

We visit The George regularly for coffee, and sometimes have breakfast as well. Today, we enjoyed coffee as usual. It's always very good value, especially as customers can have free refills. Special offers during the last two weeks, made the coffee even better value. Staff are usually very quick to clear tables; especially Amanda who is very efficient. If I were to make any criticism, it would be about the toilets. This morning, I had to try three cubicles before I found one where I could lock the door. Two of those needed more toilet paper.

Can't believe this was our first drop in here! Wanted a light bite and had the chicken Strip burger with chips, plus a free drink. I chose Ginger Ale, my wife a medium Pinot Grigio 😁 Nicely cooked and presented, not overdosed with chips, and the chicken was tender and breast meat. Loved it! Would drop in again!!

Good atmosphere staff friendly, I had steak meal enjoyed steak good chips onion rings and peppercorn sauce. Would visit again.

Walked in at 10.32pm on a Sunday to be told although they are open until 1, no new customers will be served after 10.30! Is this a regional quirk or a Wetherspoons policy? It could be much better explained and implemented. Never been turned away from an open bar before. Awful.

Firstly, I live in Littlehampton, so I would understand if people saw this as biased. However, when I moved back here two years ago after a ten year absence, I noticed a massive change in this pub. The food, service, staff, and general atmosphere have improved tremendously. I now find it to be always welcoming. The food is definitely great value, and the service is fast and friendly. A true family pub. Perhaps the biggest endorsement is how busy this place now is. Af few years ago it used to be quiet even at weekends. Now however, even during 'quiet' times it has quite a few customers, and at lunchtimes and weekends it's often full to the brim. In a time when things are difficult financially that alone tells you all you need to know.

my mother and i was staying nearby and visited littlehampton on a saturday we wandered round the shops and was looking for a quick bite.Saw this spoons and went in i had a tuna mayo cheese panini mum had cheese ham panini food arrived quickly and food was hot and crispy and very nice washed down with a pint of cider for me and a cup tea for mum all in all good value recommend

Didn’t even know it was there!! My friend and I were thinking where to have lunch and we looked at the menu of a few cafes. By sheer luck we just came across The George Inn we were happy as we normally eat in the Rocket in Putney another great Wetherspoons. We were not disappointed It was Curry Thursday and we had two beautiful curry’s with papadoms and garlic nan. Refillable coffees For us both was under £20. Really value for money. We will definitely be back the breakfast menu looked delicious

Another top quality Wetherspoons. Hot food and really tasty. Popped in for lunch. Classic burger and 2 chicken burgers. Certainly enough to fill us up. Lovely staff and service.

Most days I’ll be in the George wether it’s drinking or just getting some food but today I came in obviously known as a regular costumer and I had the young blonde lady behind the bar being so rude swearing at me rolling her eyes at me and staring at me the whole time I was there and it’s not the first time she’s been rude my mum came in a couple of weeks ago with her friend and she was rude to them as well swearing again and just being ridiculously rude , and to add she’s not only done this she has discriminated my friend calling him a pikey and telling him to go feed his horse I would understand if she was doing this off her shift but this is absolutely unprofessional and I will be coming in again with my mother and my friend to talk to a manager about this

Absolute rubbish, the sign on the bar said limited menu, which is fine and we were forewarned, but even then the food quality was shocking and my mixed grill was missing lamb and sausages! If avoid for food but ok for drinks
