My family and I were sent to this pub by a local pub in the same group of restaurants as they had experienced a flood but had arranged for us to eat here instead as it was father's day. What a joke, the staff were rude, waving hands at us and saying 'no no no, we haven't heard anything' and that old chestnut 'we haven't got the staff' the place was virtually empty, I'm in my 70's and disabled but the manager was confrontational, unhelpful and in my face - they made us feel small. What a lucky break, judging from the food reviews here.

Went with my mum and dad bank Holliday Monday and was empty, service was still shocking and slow, food come out pretty much cold, when mentioned to staff there were un helpful and pretty much said it was fine. We left

Only apple and cranberry juice available. No butter but, when asked, were given about 10 grams of rough cut butter in a dish between the two of us. We come here for a treat but this felt like they were paring back where they could. For the price, butter should be freely available as it always has been.

We came here on a Thursday evening. Staff very friendly and efficient. I was a little concerned about previous bad reviews but apparently there is new management here and we enjoyed a more than passable meal. I had the Smothered chicken, which came served with skin on fries, coleslaw and a salad garnish. No complaints from me or my husband who had a chicken and rib combo. The desserts were great too. I think you get what you pay for and I would recommend this restaurant for what it is…. Fast pub food.

This is a fantastic place to eat in a relax atmosphere, with friendly staff & an extensive menu to choose from to suit everyone tastes. Toby (The manager) was very helpful regarding my dietary requirements & of course drink choices. We will definitely coming back again. Best to book, just in case but we didn’t, result!!

Booked a table for 5 adults and 5 children on a Sunday, reserving a table ahead was a simple process. Unfortunately all adults were very disappointed with their food, majority of the food seemed to be cooked from frozen and the quality of the food was really poor, one of the worst roasts I’ve eaten. We booked the table for 12pm, the waiting staff were pleasant, service was initially prompt but got slower and slower, adults decided not to order deserts (having initially wanting them) due to the poor quality of food and time it took for orders to be taken and table to be cleared, the restaurant was less than 50% full. I would not recommend booking a roast here and would not consider returning.

Upon opening for lunch, they didn't have some of the meals available or some of the ingredients for the full meal.

I should of listened to myself and not gone back .

Went for lunch for my husbands birthday. Service was very slow. There were only 4 tables being used. 20 minutes wait for drinks, nearly 45 minutes for food. Food was ok but we were never asked if we wanted sauces, more drinks etc. Won't rush back

Visited The Roundstone restaurant for the second time in a short space of time my family live in the area and regularly visit the restaurant the food is good with good service with a loyalty to use each time we visit we worth a visit

Food absolutely awful. Jacket potato looked liked it had been reheated over and over. Tiny amount of filling and tasted terrible. Chips cold coleslaw tasteless so disappointed. Won’t be going back

Qheb we arrived the resturant was basically empty Whilst we were there it got a little busier but I would no where say it was busy. We came with our children and although the food was OK (adult portion size not much different from a child) the wait time was ridiculous. From arriving to getting out main was over a hours wait. There was no check back throughout the meal and we had to stop and ask staff for more drinks. Such a shame but this service has definitely put me off returning any time soon

Had a dreadful lunch, jacket potato definitely reheated as dry and tough couldn't eat it Chips cold .definitely wouldn't recommend and was a total waste of money

Unfortunately it’s clear that this pub/restaurant survives by being connected to the a joined Premier Inn. Although the prices are reasonable the quality of the food was way below par, the building uncared for and in places (toilets) it is unclean. The service was also mixed with some enthusiastic members of the team but the more senior and junior teams members weren’t particularly welcoming or helpful. We wouldn’t return unless it was clear the was a change in management and a revamp to the building and a better trained staff team.

Awful service, rude staff, had to remind the server 3 times for ketchup which never arrived, child size portions. Cutlery was dirty, staff eating behind the bar, and the restaurant was empty. Now we know why. Server J, where’s my ketchup??

Had a family meal, very quiet and empty for a Saturday night, soon found out because of poor service small portions for the price and unfriendly staff and staff could not get orders correct, would not be going back there not recommended

The service by 'Jordan' was a shambles and arguably the worse I've ever had in my life! We had to ask for things 3 times and still didn't get them, they were incredibly rude and clearly need significant training. Jordan was eating a dessert behind the bar whilst we were waiting food sauces for our food as already asked for! They clearly don't care. The food was mediocre and very small portions for the price. The place was empty and I mean we were the only table there and this was a Saturday! I would suggest getting Jordan service training urgently or closing! Do not go!

Excellent food and friendly staff. It is not the usual rough local but thee classy one. This restaurant and pub caters for every age group.

Absolutely awful,booked online for mother's day 15.15pm,when arrived table wasn't ready,got told about a 20 minute wait,so told to have a drink,we found a table in the bar area,about 40 mins had passed,managed to make eye contact with the guy who seemed to be doing everything,he then came over apologised,still table wasn't available,told to have another drink,but on them this time,had drink,about a further 20mins passed,manage to catch him again,asked if we could just have food at table we were sitting at,which to be honest,we had plenty of room,and quite pleasant,was then told a table had now came available,but we decided to use table we already were sitting at,and then it took a further 2 hours to have our meals,total disaster and spoilt mothers day to be honest,don't blame the guy that was doing his best to keep everyone happy,but he needed help,and if he carrys on like that will end up having a heart attack,so roundstone big let down,and you need to look after your staff a lot better

We came during the school holidays and our two little ones enjoyed the free food. The two adults and teenager enjoyed full meals and starters. It was excellent if a little slow service. Staff were great and we all enjoyed it.

As usual we had a friendly welcome and showed to our favourite table, good start! No Doombar - my favourite, no Guinness- my backup! Ended up having Carling as this is usually tasteless. My wife had tea - no milk delivered, she had to ask for it. No jacket potatoes, no rice so we had to rethink our meals. No wifi this time, how bad can this get? When we had finished the waitress was not seen so we had to go to the bar and pay. We had to wait as there was a queue to enter, exit and for drinks. Can I suggest you get more staff and do a daily stocktake?

Godd food and prices. Spoiled by the indifference of the staff. Spectacularky rude manager. He has chosen the wrong profession. He had no grasp of good cuctomer service or how to communicate with customers. His staff warmed up as you got to know them. They clearly started with a poor attitude because of the way they are managed.

The area laid out for breakfast was quite bleak and dark, no windows, no atmosphere and very tired looking.

Been coming here for the past 10 years, decided to come and invite 6 guest to have dinner with us as a celeration of my husbands birthday. The food and service have always been excellent. This time with new management it was dreadful. Bad service, uninterested staff, told could we come thru to your tablke as we had booked for 7.15pm or we might not be able to order as they close 9pm on Sundays. in fact we had booked for 7.30 - 8pm when first course finished we waited 35mins and no one came or ask if we wanted dessert so we had to apologise to our friends and leave. WORST TREATMENT EVER no wonder it was nearly empty on a Sun lunch time and dinner time.

This place could with a good clean . Menus were dirty , tea and coffee area very grubby . Trays dirty.

Was lovely brilliant family pub felt welcome and our waitress for our table who was called Emma was brilliant welcoming service with smile and made the 4 children feel welcome and included making them smile food was lovely and great value for money only £90 for 4 adult meals 3 children meals and desserts also drinks definitely be back.

While staying at the Premier Inn we visited The Roundstone pub for breakfast in the morning, we made the most of the all you can eat breakfast. There was plenty of options to choose from and was a good start to the day. The restaurant was alittle run down and the table alittle sticky but the staff were friendly and the food was good.

The waitress was lovely and very helpful. 3 mixed grill only 2 steaks were edible, otherwise the dish was tasty.

Appallingly slow service, hardly any customers but took ages to take food and drink order, another lengthy wait for drinks to arrive and another long wait for food. I would hate to think how they cope when busy.

Very disappointed went to this restaurant for lunch today and they advertise 2 meals for £11.99 but only gave us the full menu not explaining that the meals on this menu were not included in the deal and we were charged the full price on the menu. So if you go to a Whitbread Inn wanting to use the advertised deal suggest you ask for the relevant menu and not be caught like we were. I does not say on the posters advertising the deal that it is a special menu so beware.

I'm so happy we chose to bring my Mum here for a Boxing Day lunch . Forward planning .. I confirmed with Leesun on two occasions prior that they could accommodate my Mum who has Alzheimers and is wheelchair dependent . On the day it went like clockwork.. we were greeted as if they knew us personally. Leesun made sure that we were taken care of . A really good outing with her . Thankyou so much ..

For the owner, manager, anyone that cares: Picture this: Walk in Sunday 4.30pm to see three staff members on the bar doing nothing, upon seeing me walk In they scramble round the corner in order to not be seen or serve me. The man who pulled the short straw walks round miserable and says nothing. I say can I have a guiness please he says its not on. I say fine could I have a Stella please he says nothing, pours my pint and shoves a card machine in my direction, I pay, sit down drink my pint and get out of there and continue to tell everyone I know not to drink in the roundstone pub. Awful staff who need some inspiration, a reason to come to work.

Poor quality food, small servings, cold when served. My fish and chips were adequate not overly hot, my wife's Gammon steak was hidden under the fried egg (that small!), gravy served was cold for others in our party. Overall disappointed ant worth another visit.

I had such a loverly meal here, the mac and cheese bits are to die for, they were so good, I could eat them constantly. I got served by the brilliant Jordan, he was such a wonderful person, he made sure I was okay and kept asking if I needed anything and kept my drink topped up! I could see how stressed he was but he kept his composure and worked hard with everything he did. He also made sure my custard was extra hot with my sticky toffee pudding which is fantastic.

Not the best but does the job for the price and location

Not impressed, restaurant area half empty, but still crammed in next to a table for 8 but had 12 people seated around it, but biggest concern was that our table was right across the Fire Exit doors, which clearly said, do not obstruct and keep clear. Will not be going back!!!
