Had a wonderful brunch here, full English breakfast and friends had different but all food was superb as was the service, nothing too much trouble. Quirky booths with lots of games that can be played whilst waiting. Have also been here just for coffee and tea and service is brilliant, will be back again soon.

We were going to sit outside but the chairs were uncomfortable and seen better days, moved inside. Sandwiches, very tasty, sadly no drinks without sugar. The cafe looked like it needed a refresh, just looked tired and needed a bit of TLC.

Food was over cooked eggs look like the surface of the moon yoke rock hard bread and butter bread was stale sauteed potatoes tasted like yesterday's boiled potatoes never had such bad sauteed potatoes in my life bacon was under dune, had to move table due to the staff leaning over and putting his rear in mine and my wife's face felt total uncomfortable in this cafe and think the food was third rate and would never go back 40 pounds for two breakfasts that were in my opinion rubbish.

We went for afternoon tea through red letter day gift to the Honey pot cafe. The afternoon tea sandwiches were great. All on brown bread as requested. The scones were light and delicious. 5 different cakes all delicious. Best of all there were games on each table. My congratulations to the owner for being so inventive.

Great spot. The coffee was absolutely delicious and the best sourdough, avo, and poached eggs I've had in a long while. My other half had the eggs royale and polished them off along with her mocha. My husband and I had the most delicious cream tea at The Honeypot Cafe today. Everything is home cooked and prepared by the owner's mother who is truly a wonderful cook/baker. The sandwiches were delicious along with a savoury small cup of coup. Would recommend everyone go there for breakfast, dinner, light meals etc. Friendly staff and a quirky atmosphere. Will be going there again soon.

Have just returned from an absolutely marvellous afternoon tea with three friends. I cannot praise The Honeypot cafe enough, food was delicious and locally sourced, the cornbread was to die for… which leads me to the cakes and scones homemade by the owner and my gosh were they fabulous. The staff were friendly and really helpful. I would thoroughly recommend and will be going back for a delicious looking breakfast very soon. Thank you Honeypot for a lovely afternoon.

Not as good as last time we went. Too many sweet cakes not enough savoury. Last time we each had a sausage roll. Scones were dry. Not enough cream and jam for 8 scones too. No one came to ask if we needed anything else or ask how it was. I would have asked for more cream and jam for the 2/3 scones that we had run out of cream for. Rather disappointed to be honest as much better last time.

We were given a gift of a Cream Tea & decided to go to The Honeypot as it sounded good although it was a fair way from our home. The two waitresses were absolutely lovely but regrettably l cannot say the same of the cream tea or the place. The girls were quick and efficient & once the occupants of each table left, they were there cleaning it down. Not can be said of the window frames or plastic plants which were covered in cobwebs! The cup of tea was superb but the cream tea itself, knowing what it cost, was very disappointing. The basic sandwiches were dry as were the scones, the cakes cut from large squares, saved money & were ok. Sorry Honeypot, won't be back or recommend, will be advising "Buyagift" of our opinion.

We called in for breakfast as we were in the area. The staff were friendly and pleasant and the coffee tasty. Our Honeypot Breakfast was very disappointing. The poached eggs were hard and the bacon was hard like leather and had obviously been kept over for a while. This wasn’t a cheap option and the food was really poorly cooked. A real disappointment.

Really nice staff but for what we got it wasn’t worth it. £17.99 PER PERSON. We had a voucher for 2 and for my extra daughter we had to pay £17.99. So if we didn’t have the voucher we would of paid over £50 for just a small plate. We got an afternoon tea for 3 and what we got was in the photo above. The sandwich’s were salmon or ham but was plain and dry. They gave our food last when we were one of the first in, and then didn’t even tell us what was on the plates, or didn’t ask if we need anything.

We were given a voucher for afternoon tea, and chose a cafe venue rather than a hotel. I'm so glad we did! We could even have upgraded to prosecco. The genius touch is the cafe being closed to regular custom later on Saturday afternoon, so it felt very cosy and exclusive. Michael's combination of attentive effusive host with the right amount of leaving you to get on with facing the generous food was perfect. The absolute star of the show was the Spinach and feta quiche, still warm, with the thinnest crisp pastry imaginable. Lovely finger sandwiches (salmon and cream cheese and ham). The fruit scones were also warm and very tasty. A lovely selection of home made cake including syrup drenched lemon drizzle, apple and maple, and fudgy brownies topped it all off.As I see other reviews have mentioned, it is an incredibly generous and filling selection and our short walk at Littlehampton beach dodging downpours beforehand was not long enough. We were grateful for the cake box to carry the rest of the loot home in!Next time I'm in the area the home made soups sound incredible, and the rest of the cake selection very tempting.. Especially the carrot cake

I’m not normally one to leave a negative review but after being in tears I felt I had to share! I’ve driven past the honeypot many times since I moved to the area and finally booked a table with my sister today. It always looks so lovely and as a new local I was excited to try it out. We arrived at the same time as another party who found the door was locked, we where all just standing there in heavy rain for quite a while. A gentlemen then opened the door and without even saying hello, took the temperatures of the party before us then ushered them in and literally closed the door on us when we went to walk in after them. He didn’t apologise or explain his system, just closed the door and left us in the rain. So I was standing there with my mask on and my hood up feeling like a bit of a pleb, 7 months pregnant and soaking wet. Eventually he opened the door and in silence took our temperatures and squirted some anti bac onto my sisters hands. I politely declined and explained that I don’t like to use hand sanitiser because I’m pregnant (never had a problem before, I always go and wash my hands before I sit down) to which he very aggressively responded ‘what does being pregnant have to do with hand sanitiser?’ I explained about not wanting to use chemicals etc and he laughed at me and showed me the label and stated there wasn’t any alcohol in it. I felt very put on the spot and asked him why it was any of his business? He said he was the owner of the cafe and he was following government guidelines. Obviously I appreciate the guidelines as I was stood their in my mask, with my phone ready to check in on the app. The guidelines do not state that you should refuse customers who don’t want to use hand sanitiser. His whole demeanour was so aggressive and rude I didn’t even know what to say after that. I told him we would go somewhere else then and I just got back into my car and burst into tears. He could clearly see the size of my gigantic stomach and the fact I had been standing in the rain for 10 minutes. To then argue and refuse our entry because I don’t want to put chemicals on my skin just shocked me. I was so upset afterwards I was shaking. After I had calmed down we went to establo lounge round the corner which is always delicious and the staff are very lovely. To the owner of the honey pot cafe, I hope you felt very big and proud of yourself today.

Since re opening after lockdown with its new interior and seating (Covid safe) Mike and his team went out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. For those worried about current restrictions, Mike takes your temp at the door and sanitiser is on hand as is the qr code for NHS app. Tables are separated according to current restrictions, it is a safe haven in these worrying times. Most important is the food, in the cold weather now we all opted for rarebit! One with extra egg and toms, one with toms and mine with toms and bacon. All cooked to perfection by the kitchen! Coffee is delicious and so was the turmeric matcha latte. Quality, local food that tastes good. The time flew by and Mike and his team were attentive to all. The Honey Pot is a gem, it has a cosy, welcoming atmosphere, more like going to see old friends. Customers came and went and there were smiles all round. Yes the food is excellent but it’s the staff that really make it. With the new refresh comes an original roller blackboard (if you’re old enough to remember these!) that takes me back. Such care and attention to detail is what matters, we will be back very soon! Thanks.

What a wonderfully happy place to enjoy wonderful food! Michael is not only a superb host, but his theatre and flair makes for a wonderful atmosphere! The food is so well prepared and a well thought out menu catering for all tastes. Very reasonably priced too........ it’s a must on your list if you visit the area or if you’re local like me and never been before! Excellent safety measures in place too!

Randomly ended up in Rustington, very early morning, with a colleague, sharing a day-off. I’d personally never heard of the small seaside town prior to the previous day - due to a phone conversation with a Hinchley Wood villager, elderly friend, who had said he was thinking of selling up, and moving to this small town. (I can see why). After an hour jog on the beach, we decided to have breakfast in this venue. All I can say is - WOW!!!!The breakfasts are possibly THE best I’ve ever had. Presentation - just incredible. Cooking standard - ditto. Quality of ingredients - superb! One Full Veg, one Full English. Both meals were outrageously good - I say this with no hyperbole, when I describe this as the best English brekkie I’ve had in my 46 years of existence.Excellent morning out, and so close to Surrey, I’d been dropped off back, by 1.30 pm, in order to do some home gardening.HIGHLY recommended place to visit - service and staff - superb.

Used a buy it gift voucher to pay for tea for two .Went with my sister today .Small homely cafe , room for 18 to 20 inside plus tables outside .Packed but we got a table as we had booked before .Greeted by the enthusiastic owner Michael who greeted us at door and made sure we had adhered to stringent covid regulations by ensuring we were wearing masks, Michael took our temperature s , and we signed in using NHS app,and steralised our hands .Tables were apart.Had a beautiful cream tea all home cooked Well done to Michael's mum in the kitchen who made it all .Had 2 large cups of capichino each .Could have had tea if we wanted Coukdnt eat it all so given two boxes to take it home Cafe was full seems a very popular venue Worth the money as home made. Thank you Michael ,mum and staff for a lovely tea from the twins sheila and hazel

Excellent café serving quality food. Delicious bacon, meaty sausages, and perfectly cooked soft scrambled eggs. Importantly for us Carlyle’s Cafe’ is also a dog friendly establishment, the friendly staff even present your loved one with a tasty treat! Thanks for a great visit, we look forward to returning.

We stayed and ate in the evening with them. Our room was beautiful, lovely linen, and towels a really calm space! Yes it is in the centre of Arundel but we were surprised by how little we could hear traffic. We had a cheeseboard and beautiful salami’s beautifully served, we were told where everything was from, lovely wines to choose from, they certainly exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be back, run by a really lovely couple. Breakfast was continental but again locally sourced and first class

Went with 7 of my family and chose the carvery option. The whole meal was dry and tasteless. The pork was chewy, potatoes dry and the veg was extremely tasteless Since eating there I have read more reviews that say the same. The gravy boat need to read their reviews and up their game, as I for one, will not be going back. Shame, as it was very good when it first opened.

Lovely Sunday lunch, it was full so very glad we booked! My wife was a little disappointed with her lamb as she found it somewhat fatty. I realise some like it like this!
