Pensioners fish and chips not very good, cod was OK the chips were awaful for 6pm Saturday, almost as if they were from Lunch time, not good

Truly delicious food cooked to absolute perfection by super friendly polite staff, we would never go anywhere else, they are the Best!

25th Jan lunch 5 star from me great friendly service, by far the best chips, I have had in a long time. Great to cash in use here. Looking forward to going again, as I not local local to this chip shop will pass 5 shops to get to this one. Thank you for the great lunch.

First time here. Very pleasant atmosphere and service, the cod was just delicious! There’s sitting area, mainly for waiting I presume which is nice. Maybe some small tables and chairs outside would be a nice touch in future? :)

Have been using Mick's fish and chip shop on a regular basis for just under a year the staff are pleasant the fish is always to a high standard and always cooked in front of me the only one thing I would say I've never seen Mick does he exist

As always, an excellent visit here. Cod and chips x 2 were perfection, crisp, plump fish with lovely fresh cooked chips. My tip if taking home is no salt or vinegar until you get home.

Great food, great staff and reasonably priced. Always hot food and great chips. Always a friendly smile to be greeted with. Great batter and the cod is always a really good size with no bones found.

Waited nearly half an hour to be served 2 portions of very average chips as staff serving did it in strict chronological order instead of using their loaf!

Excellent fish and chips, cooked to order but not too long to wait. It's not cheap but the quality is good.

Although the fish was freshly cooked the batter was really soggy.It could have been cooked abit longer.Disappointed with our Haddock.Also the prices on the Webb site were not the same as the price menu in shop.The menu in the window was also a different price from the menu board.

We don't often have fish and chips but after a long day at work, a long week me and my youngest decided fish and chips was the way to go. Really friendly service, great local friendly atmosphere. Didn't wait long for food, very reasonably priced especially as portions are very generous, and food amazing 🤩

The food was a very reasonable price & tasted great. However, I had a very upset stomach after finishing my meal. :-/

Good quality, good value food. Cash only. Telephone orders accepted, just make sure you phone the right branch (Rustington or East Preston) as observed many people who turned up expecting to collect an order and discovered they called the wrong shop.

Enjoyed my cod and chips this evening. Chips were a good size and not too greasy. Medium cod was reasonably sized, and although a tad greasy on the packaging, was fine once on my plate. The fish was nice and chunky.

Proper old fish and chip shop. Huge fish, a chip portion slightly small in comparison - how ever proper hand cut chips. Nice mushy peas. Quick service, reasonable prices

Tucked away off the main road. Some parking outside. Friendly staff. Option for large or small portions fish and chips. Excellent chips and fish good. Did struggle to finish the large portion. Will certainly go again.

We have been using Micks Chips for 3 years having sampled many when we first moved down. It has been excellent. However, on Friday 4th Feb we were very disappointed. The mushy peas were like the curates egg - i. e. warm in parts. The chips were similarly luke warm at best but the fish was up to the usual standard. We'll carry on using them for now but it was disappointing.

We have the most delicious fish & chips from here today. All cooked fresh when we ordered too. It wasn't greasy at all. Highly recommended & thank you Micks Chips - 8 very happy people

Disappointed with the food tonight, fish overcooked and dry, chips were more scraps than chips I know Fridays are busy but they still need to keep up the standards, definitely won’t be going on a Friday again

Very poor quality, burger soggy and a mess. No presentation, looks like a dogs dinner. Chips, just slightly under done. Ordered a large chips, cheese burger and small chips and curry sauc Was charged for a large, cheese burger and pot curry sauce, was given a portion of small chips with the burger. No large chips! If it wasnt for the friendly staff the place would be getting a 1 star.

Ordered large cod and chips, thought it was a bit expensive at £8.50 but when I got my meal it was well worth the money. Fish was huge and very thick which I like. Batter was crispy and tasty. Chips were magnificent, big and tasty. I like my chips to be thick, can't stand the fries so many places serve and was delighted with these. All in all an excellent meal and well worth the price.

The worst fish and chips I have ever eaten. A number of the chips were black and looked like they had been cooked in years old oil. The fish when I could find it suffocated by a ton of batter was just awful £35 down the drain Don’t waste your money people

Chips were not cooked all way through hard in middle only accepted cash 2 portions£15 wont go there again

Really love the food from here and visit regular but unfortunately they only take cash and I find that difficult to manage in a world converting to cash free methods.

The fish and chips are amazing, definately get your moneys worth. The downside is that they only accept cash at the moment. Im not too keen on using cash at the moment, id like to see contact less payment an option.

Our first visit to this place was as newcomers to the area and I'm afraid to say it was disappointing. The chips were big tasteless soggy things. The Fish was a very small fillet with quite a few bones in it, a lot of skin and in a not particularly flavoursome batter. It hadn't been properly filleted. In addition the overall flavour of everything was not that pleasant. We have experienced so much better elsewhere. Hopefully we just happened to go there on a bad day......

Ordered cod & haddock at 12.20 for pickup at 12.40 for home eating. The cod was average but edible the haddock was obviously cooked some time ago it was dry and completely inedible both fish content and reheated batter. We were asked to give 20 minutes for cooking time. Why treat customers like morons? For £14.

Mick's chips USED to be the chip shop I would freely recommend to all and sundry. Now after 2 disappointing meals I'm really not sure. A portion of of chips that would struggle to fill a small breakfast bowl, gravy that was cold and tasteless, and peas that tasted fine, but only mildly warm. I know times are challenging, but short changing (food wise) your loyal regular customers doesn't sit well with me.

We are regular visitors of rustington and always have Micks chips when we come.We were very disappointed when we rung up to find that it had closed five minutes earlier,at 7:30 on a Friday!This was the first time I haven’t enjoyed the chips from here but this was clearly a one off as we had them later on in the week and they were fine but it was still a disappointment from normal.

Down visiting Parents in Littlehampton , they had been recommended ‘Micks Chips’ from their previous regular chippy. Rang at 1745, lovely lady on other end, order placed , booking order number given and price. When I arrived, excellent CV19 conditions, table at front entrance etc. Order ready friendly staff and easy collection from the table. Got food home, Mum & Dad were extremely pleased with quality , hot food and lovely batter on the cod. Ten out of ten from us here in Littlehampton!!

We visited Mick's Chips yesterday after spending an enjoyable day at East Preston beach. The service was very good and the queue outside was very orderly.Their covid-19 policy was adhered to by most people. It was a busy time and unfortunately they did forget one of my groups orders and also they got my order wrong however they didn't charge me for the missing fish from my order. I thought this was a very generous gesture. The fish was really tasty and the batter was excellent, not greasy at all. We will definitely be going back again. Well worth a visit!

Have just been to Micks for a rear fish and chips treat must say not only did they get the order wrong, when we unwrapped the order the batter was very dark as if the oil had not been changed since the start of covid or it was over cooked well turned out to be a bit of both, the fish was not flakey but mushy and the amount of oil still on the fish when we got it home was not good as for the chips no thank you the best thing was the brown paper bag they came in - thats were it all ended up! - looks like I have to rate it with a star - which is over rated.

Phoned an order through and given a time to pick up. As I arrived on time the food had just been packed and was ready for me to take away. Piping hot when I got the Fish and Chips home. My Cod and chips were exellent.

Some changes due to covid social distancing. You must ring in and order and get a number, you can not get served if this is not done. Understandable but it obviously needs to be on google as well as facebook if it is to get to everybody. Hence my review here. Don't forget cash.

Micks are operating a call and collect system at the moment, extremely well organised. First time I have ever been there and will certainly be going again. I live a couple of miles away and the fish and chips were still piping hot by the time I got home. Lovely friendly staff, which in these most uncertain times is extremely welcome.

I would say the best fish and chips around here, cooked perfectly beautiful piece of haddock and huss will always keep going back.

Plaice and chips wonderful, unfortunately I asked for mussy peas, but when I got home I found they had given me curry sauce.

Great fish and chip shop, you'd be hard pushed to find a better one, food is top notch and nice and hot. Usually busy, tells you everything.

There are several chip shops around Rustington and Littlehampton. This one is just simply the best. Beautiful fish, sausage was devine and the curry sauce was perfect. I have no idea how they got the chips as crispy and fluffy as they were on Saturday...

Need to remember to bring cash, but the food is lovely and well cooked. Love this place, especially as they do fresh chunky chips!
