Purchased couple of their custard tarts. Exceptionally disappointing filling .. bland and tasteless. Nice outer pastry.

Brought a ham and chicken pie for supper. Pie was packed with meat. Fabulous taste. Good value for money. Lord Sugar made a big mistake.

Went because of the apprentice link and was impressed. I had a cheese & onion pasty which was delicious and worth the visit.

Have enjoyed turners pies for years UNTIL today. Bought a steak and ale pie from the Rustington shop also two tubs of gravy. They were disgusting not only in taste but they smelled rotten. Will never cross their doorstep again except tomorrow when I take back what’s left.

Had the chicken and chorizo pasty today,not much flavour and far too hot.I normally have madras curry but this was too much for me

Amazing. So fresh. Great quality. Ham salad roll is the best. Sausage rolls are great and of course the pies mmmmmmm the pies………

Was working in the area and decided to try the pie shop for lunch. We had a steak and mushroom pie and a minced beef with mash...peas and gravy. Was excellent. The gravy was fantastic. Great lunch on a cold snowy and rainy day. Even bought 2 large pies to take back home to the family.

This isn't a restaurant, it's a shop selling pies. Not sure why under restaurants on here. Pies were nothing special. Pastry dry. Filling nice. Had better from m&s. Wouldn't return.

Best pies you will find anywhere! Love the family deal, large pie two veg sides and gravy makes a lovely midweek meal for a family of 4.

Great pies. Not cheap but excellent quality so you get what you pay for. Loads of tasty, tender juicy filling and nice pastry. I can recommend and will buy again. Meat pies and fruit pies are great.

I live in a nursing home and have been in lockdown since beginning of March. I needed to get some gifts for friends and know they love Turners pies and their other yummy food. I had no online access and nobody to purchase the gifts for me. I spoke to an extremely understanding and kind gentleman who arranged everything for me. He could not have been any kinder to me and went out of his way to help me. Needless to say the pies were cherished and devoured by my friends, and also all the chutneys and pickles. I have nothing but praise for the staff and the wonderful gentleman who helped me. Well done all at Rustington Turners Pies you deserve all the praise I can give.

Does a lovely takeaway lunchtime option which is not only delicious but is great value for meant. Highly recommend the mushroom and asparagus pie which comes with mash potato and peas and gravy

Don’t know what all the pretentious complaining is about. I dropped in one lunchtime and bought a pasty and a steak/kidney pie - both were filled to the brim with great tasting fillings and meats. No reason not to go back when I’m in Rustington

I visited this shop once and once only. The staff are always very young pretty girls for some strange reason that know absolutely nothing. I was disgusted when I got home to find that the £20 for four small pies were nothing put a load of pastry hardly any filling. This shop is over rated and I do not know how? Avoid like you would coronavirus that’s my advice. Kind regards And good luck if you eat there mine went straight in the bin!

Over priced for what you get. There's not much flavour in the flavour department in my opinion. Can't say I enjoyed what I ate that much after the price.

I do not like pies that are full of gristle, Turners pies are a little dearer but the pies do NOT have lumps of gristle in them and very tasty. The fruit pies are also very good. Service is good.

The steak and kidney pies are amazing- packed full to the brim with quality. The egg custards are lovely too. The shop is charming and you can purchase bread, meringues, pickles and sausage rolls. Defiantly worth the awards that Turners have achieved.

Even though the turners pies taste very nice.ive one huge complaint I cook them as they advise but they always crumble up into pieces.have kept asking them on line and tried phoning up but they never answer.so shall never buy anymore of your pies again.lots of people I’ve spoke to have all had the same problem.i would advise not to buy these pies now better of at Greggs in rustington with smaller pies that are a lot cheaper and taste just as good.

This is just a shop but having said that what a shop! Terrific pies, savoury & sweet, traditional custard tarts to die for, quiches, sausage rolls, and they stock fresh bread from Petworth. Take away pie mash peas and gravy is very good. Lovely staff too.

Saw this as a restaurant on trip advisor, went in but it's just a shop!So had to buy pies to take home. Not sure why they're raved over.Had better steak pie from fish and chip shop I'm afraid to say.Wont rush back and cant see how they're on here as a restaurant when they're clearly not!! The choices off ingredients are wide and varied and they even do a gluten free alternative which is great for me, they are packed with meat and vegetables and you can purchase gravy to have with them, also do fruit pies and speciality breads, very tasty

Turners pies are the best pies in the south if not further, can’t fault them, not overpriced and always very tasty, service with a smile and a chat from the staff goes a long way and the family pie deal is wel, worth the reasonable price....great shop.

Having been in the area now for about 18mths and were recommended Turners Pies. We have had several pie meals with the mash and mushy peas inc the one free using the loyalty card and we think they are excellent. No other pie gets anywhere near these. Even HM has ordered in the past. If there good enough for her, there good enough for us!! Keep it up.

After everyone going on about turners pies I thought I would give them ago all I can say is it was bloody lovely I wasn’t disappointed at all. Pricey but you pay for what you get I Suppose. Go on spoil yourself

Turner's Pies are a wonderful 'home cooking' pie shop. Their pies are generously filled with scrumptious things like chicken and ham, steak and ale and mushroom and asparagus. I always have the lunch special - £5 for pie, mash, mushy peas and gravy. Hot, delicious and excellent value for money every time. They also do gluten free pies but you have to buy them uncooked and cook them yourself at home as they don't want to risk contamination from the non gf pies.

I have never bought a great deal in this shop as their items are a bit pricey when you need something for 2 of you.The Lemon Meringue Pie was delicious and I'm very sorry they stopped doing it. The Dutch Apple Pie I often buy by the slice..it's very nice and a very big slice,but just a little short of sultanas for my taste? So when I saw the advert for half price fruit pies,I was really pleased. The whole pies are of course smaller overall than buying the slices ....the slices you buy are BIG! Yesterday I went in and bought a cherry pie,as both hubby and I love cherries.He had a slice earlier today and told me there was just 1 cherry in it...the rest was just a smooth,glutinous,sickly cherry sauce. I myself have just tried a slice....I didn't even fine ONE piece of fruit.This is just ridiculous! I don't mind if good quality treats are too dear for me to buy...but for a reputable chain of shops to be selling such an inferior product, even at half price, is very disappointing.You may as well buy a cheap,supermarket own variety,and get some change,even on this half price offer!

First time we had had pies. Savers and fruit. They were seriously delicious. Can recommend.

You've probably heard people say how good these pies are but until you try them you don't know just how good !!! They are amazing and are not overpriced so if you haven't had one, treat yourself !! Steak & Stilton is mouthwatering !!!!

Finally got around to buying a pie for dinner after living here for 3 years. We were not let down. Every mouthful was a delight. I will be back very soon

I pre ordered there Turkey pie for lunch with friends on Christmas eve. It was delicious, packed with Turkey and very light pastry case. Lovely with roasted vegetables. It made an easy festive lunch. I would definitely buy this pie again.

Stopped for a couple of pies to take home for supper. It was nice that they have a gluten free selection for my partner, a coeliac, albeit frozen. I enjoyed my steak and stilton pie, which I bought hot, and will be back for more.

Last year I organised a pie& Mash lunch for 30 people and the service and quickness of orders were great .Just had another Pie&Mash; event for Just 20 people once again the pies and service was great .staff very friendly and welcoming I would recommend this shop to anyone .Pies are full of tasty meat and with the gravy and mushy peas were fantastic .Thank you for the speed of my order when I came to collect,everyone enjoyed the meals .The lunch deal for Just £5 is great well worth the money.

Oh my goodness I can't tell you how fantastic these pies are!!! When people say best on the planet - they aren't kidding. And even do gluten free (although I haven't tried them) I'm sure they are amazing. Definitely worth a trip to one of their shops. We have been going to visit relatives & this shop is an added bonus!

You will not find a better pie anywhere than these. I’ve had many down the years. I’m struggling to find the right words. My advice just go and try them.

Whenever we are visiting family in Sussex we always stock up on Turner's Pies from one of their shops, their pies are full of filling and their pastry is superb.

Tried the pasty for the first time at Turners pies and was amazed how full and tasty they are. I’ve never seen such a full pasty. The custard tarts are to die for if your a fan. The new round pies are also fab I had one the previous week and noted how packed this was. Great value for top notch hand made pies.

I have been buying Turner's pies for some years and loved the generous size,but it's so dissapointing to see them go down he same route as the big boys.It looks like a cutter has been made to cut the middle out of the old shape,thus loosing a third!!!!Such a shame.

Had a very very good chicken & ham pie from here today which was heated up at home and served with Turners gravy. I have had the pie mash peas and gravy they serve to take away at lunchtime and can recommend it. Excellent place.

Great service. Not the cheapest but you are getting quality. Preorderd 2 catering size ones online for a family get together and the pies went down great with some mash and peas!

Used this shop a few times and never been disappointed. The fillings are really good quality and very tasty. Good range of pies and they even sell gravy!! Only downside is they are pricey, but I suppose you get what you pay for.

Often pop in to buy a pie or maybe a loaf? Have never been disappointed. No wonder Harrodsburg sell their pies.

Always a lovely pie from this shop! Service from the staff is always top quality as well. You can preorder online and they will have your pies waiting for collection at the shop. Pies can also be frozen and they will give you the heating instructions as well if you need them! You have to try the gravy as well

Bought their signature pie peas mash and gravy for lunch and it was heaven. Served in a cardboard container but nicely hot aftercI walked home (15 minutes) Substantial and very tasty meal and only £5.00

These pies are better than mother could make. The meat pies contain so much meat and are delicious and the fruit pies are also really worth a try.

I regularly go to Turners Pie Shop if I am in Rustington the pies are extremely delicious, full of meat, lots of options and you can buy additional gravy. If I pop out in my lunch hour some of my colleagues put in orders for the equally lovely sausage rolls and Cornish pasties. They do have a great lemon meringue pie but it is rarely on the shelves at lunchtime nor the banoffee. Well worth a visit you won’t be disappointed.

Not much to say about them really. Prices are higher than average for a pie but the quality out weighs that ten fold. I have tried 4 flavours of their meat pies now since being introduced to them, 1 of their fruit pies, their mince pies and their full english breakfast turn over. I have never been dissapointed. The pies are always full from base to lid, the quality of the fillings is always spot on with flavour and meat to sauce ratios, never feel bad about buying one of these pies.

Just sneaked in here and bought 6 of the finest mince pies I have ever tasted. I went home and ate one then two then three, on the 5th pie and I told myself I would keep the sixth for my wife. Oh dear they where so delicious I scoffed the lot. Fantastic not a factory insight just great home cooking and a delicious centre. Roll on next Christmas.

My 9 year old always asks to go to Turners pies if we are in Rustington as she and my husband love the pie mash and gravy box. Great local and good quality food

This is a pie shop, not a restaurant. The Christmas Mince Pies were delicious and so was the Turkey and Ham Pie. Bought 2 boxes of 6 mince pies for Christmas and had to go back and buy more.!!

I had some cocktail sausage rolls a bag of 6 a little bit more expensive than most places but the taste is so so good it is excellent value in the end.

Best pie shop around the South Coast. The pies are wonderful and full of meat, or fruit. The smell as one walks past the shop is divine. One hasn't lived if they have not had a pie from Turners.

An excellent range of pies from meat to fruit with all the bits in between. Ordered a large quiche for a family party which got praise from virtually everyone who tried it. The meat pies tried so far have been packed with succulent meat in an excellent pastry. Buy the gravy as well and you have an excellent meal. Praise also for the staff who make it a pleasure to shop there.

Turner's pies are always the very best pies. They are flavoursome and come in a variety of flavours. They also sell lovely fresh bread, but you have to get there early to get pies as they sell out very quickly- unsurprisingly!

All the Awards are very well deserved. Pastry is light and thin, fillings are generous and delicious. I've never tasted better pies.

No wonder this company has won prizes for their pies. They are absolutely wonderful, and worth every penny. The shop also sells excellent artisan bread and other goodies. It's a place not to miss if you're in Rustington - in fact, it's well worth a special visit.

We've visited the Rustington branch many times over the last few years and have never been disappointed! I love the steak and Stilton pie while my husband goes for steak and ale. The dessert pies are lovely - we usually buy the individual strawberry tarts. My absolute favourite dessert is treacle tart and Turners is the best I've tasted.My husband often uses the lunch deal (pie, mash, peas and gravy for £4.50) - he loves the pies and he's a very tough customer to please....

I'm really sorry it I've just had a steak and kidney pie and I really really don't get it my parents think they are the dogs b#####s but I think the pastry is rubbish there is no gravy in the pie you have to buy it separately and there is no seasoning very bland...

A regular customer because I'm always pleased. Prompted to review again because I have just been able to compare sausage rolls with those from Sainsburys and M&S. Turners incomparably better than those from Sainsburys deli, although at twice the price. M&S come closer, particularly from the deli counter. Contest over.Also recently had a steak and kidney pie - very good indeed. From experience, I know to splash out an extra 50p on a pot of the super gravy.

This is a shop selling delicious pies of both the meat and fruit varieties that are very well filled and have an authentic home-made flavour. In addition there are a variety of other foods including different breads and rolls Not cheap but still extremely good vaue

I have had pies from Turners for years, started when I had one from the Bognor shop. Never looked back, if you want a quality pie with plenty of filling try Turners. It will be the best pie you have ever had. Well done Turners I see you have a shop in Chichester now.

I like pies and get really disappointed with so many that look good and then you cut into an empty space and a lot of hot air rushes out. Turners Pies are solid and chunky, they are truly superb and I have to admit that I have used them at dinners not mentioning to the guests that they were bought-in! By the way it isn't just the pies, try some of the artisan bread.

The pies from here are always excellent....full of meat...& the pastry is to die for....plus if you are short of time they sell excellent sides & pits of meat gravy....lovely

A cut above other pies produced for Supermarkets. Fresh and lean ingredients together with very light and fluffy pastry.

Great quality tast pies, little expensive but worth it for treat. Live chicken and ham. Pastry delicious too. Renowned for quality and I'd agree. In fact I will be enjoying one for lunch today as they donate pies for our charity volunteers lunch. Thanks Turners!
