Lovely historic hotel with all that comes with that - slightly dodgy plumbing and steep stairs Room was very nice but grim view of a wall Good selection of tea/coffee/biscuits Breakfast very nice if limited . Great location in the high steer and everything within walking distance

Wow, so expensive. We ordered 1/4 duck to share, very good and tasty. Mains came up, never ever in a Chinese restaurant have I been given a plate and not a bowl and chopsticks, had to ask for them, up came cold bowl. Rice was served on a flat plate, not in a bowl with a lid to keep warm, a first again. Hubby’s sweet and sour pork he said was good, chicken chow mein was a large portion but very little chicken. Mushroom were greasy and more onion than mushroom. We had 2 medium glasses of house wine all for £100!! We don’t pay that in London, sorry never again.

In all my 45 years of having curries in restaurants, this is without equal, the worst I have been subjected to. The waiters were abrupt and unable to communicate except to bark the word "papadoms?" The cooks have this strange sauce. When we ordered the mixed grill sharer, the Koftas, onion bhajis, chicken wings and pakoras all looked like they were from the day before with this disgusting sauce poured over so it was a soggy mass. The lamb balti appeared to be a Sunday roast lamb, sliced (also from the day before?) with the same sauce poured over it. For dessert a waiter just pushed a laminated card in front of one of the ladies without a word. They take your money and hurry you out without a smile or a thank you. The decor is nice. <-- something good to say.

This is a nice hotel restaurant Starters were very good , chicken wings Would highly suggest But unfortunately the roast carvery was not for £24.95pp For the price , could of been a lot better I can’t see how it can be classed as the best roast ever had The beef was the best thing on my plate My wife had pork , but was very dry Her cauliflower cheese was ok The roast potatoes were in eye sight looking good but Outside of them were hard no taste, inside no taste Even with the salt I put on The carrots were unfortunately well over cooked some even to the extreme of burnt , Yorkshire puds hard and looking burnt Carvery chef friendly Sunday roast I could do better Staff were average and polite

We stopped off in Arundel and called in too Belinda's for lunch. We had been there before and we knew it did good food and was dog friendly as we were travelling with our our 2 dogs. Firstly the service was brilliant, very friendly and attentive, and our dogs were also made welcome being offered dog beer aka water! I went for the Belnda's Breakfast which was delicious and I felt was really good value and was just what I needed to refuel. There is a nice, but small, outdoor seating area, although we sat inside on the day. There is a pay and display car park directly behind Belinda's and you access the cafe direct from the car park via a rear door which is clearly marked as Belinda's. If we are passing through Arundel again we will be sure to stop by again.

In a lovely location by the side of the river Arun in the lovely castle town of Arundel. We stopped for lunch and a drink. No complaints on the food but we both had cappuccinos and they were little more than slightly flavoured milk. I don’t know where the coffee was but it never made it to the cup hence the verdict of average. Unfortunately with many other options in the small town it’s not somewhere I’d return to.
