We’ve been to the Gurkha Lounge quite a few times and it’s always been incredible! The food is exceptional, full of flavour and spice. We always over order because we want to try everything because it’s all so delicious. Staff and service super friendly. Fantastic place!
The food was two hours late. The restaurant told me the food was with the driver and 5 minutes away after an hour of being late. Then when i phoned back 20 minutes later they told me it was still sitting on the side with then and the driver hadn’t showed up yet
Had the 5 course tasting menu, absolutely excellent! Big thanks to Louis for looking after us. We were particularly impressed with the beef and the banana soufflé.
It took 14 years to get back. This was for breakfast, and it was worth the five min walk from our hotel. The service, the hospitality is unmatched and it is exceeded only by the quality of the food. Located conveniently on the high street in the heart of Camberley and worth the trip! Yeah, we will be back in the morning if you want to join us!
Whoever says anchovies don’t belong on pizza is not to be trusted, simple as that.
This pizza was impressive. Baked perfectly in a stone oven, the crust had that lovely char without being burnt. The undercarriage was spot on... no sloppy flop, just solid with the right balance of crisp and chew.
Flavours were banging too... salty pops from the anchovies, black olives doing their thing and a proper tomato base. Exactly what you'd hope for.
The staff were super friendly, which made the whole experience even better. They do a range of other dishes, but honestly, when you see a stone baked oven, you know pizza is the way to go.
Glad I found this place. Will definitely be back.
The food was sooooooo good! Aden went above and beyond for us telling some good food to order. The drinks were lush and everything was so cheap. The portions were huge we couldn’t even finish it all. Perfect way to start our marriage at this beautiful family run business. Thank you!
This was a home delivery order.
Why can’t all restaurants follow suit? This is special in every way. And I want all places I use to have these high standards.
The staff are completely knowledgeable about the food they offer, the chef is a genius, the kitchen staff that support food preparation are gifted, the owners are gentlemen.
The vegetarian and vegan dishes we ordered were so very good. Small but perfectly formed vegetable samosas are always a favourite and never disappoint. They’re substantial enough to satisfy meat eaters! And do not miss the aloo chaat. This is the first time I’ve tried the Garlic Mushroom Malai and it won’[t be the last, they are perfect with everything I ordered. The saffron pulao rice again combines perfectly with any dish – we opted for a vegan Bhuna (absolutely delightful) and various vegetarian dishes including saag paneer (always choose this!)
I could list every item on the menu I’ve tried but haven’t got the space. As someone used to good food, you’ll just have to trust me and pay a visit.
Other establishments locally claim to offer Indian food – they don’t! Stick to Mughal Place!
Thank you to every individual who works there, your food and service brings joy of all of us.
Once again I'm writing in praise of Panshi, Hinchley Wood (Esher). My friends and I met up for our 3-monthly dinner on Sunday evening. We were the only ones in the restaurant, having booked for 8 pm.
As before we received excellent and friendly service. One friend ordered chicken tikka masala (£13.25), the other had chilli lamb shank (£16.95) which came with two very large pieces of lamb. Both friends said how much they enjoyed theit dishes. I had my usual chicken pasanda (£13.45), also as good as ever. Given the size of the lamb shank, I'm thinking seriously of having that next time (breaking the habit of a lifetime - well of the past 10 years)!!
I asked the manager how it was all going and he told me that they are weathing the economic pressures. As before, I thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
