Pleasant and fast service. Few people at 7 p.m. Good ambient music. Good rather “mild” cocktails Simple dishes but correctly prepared.

Had a catch up with my friend today and we came in for lunch. I was surprised there was no one there when we arrived. Some people did come in shortly after. We got served straight away and our food came out in a timely manner. It was absolutely delicious. I would thoroughly recommend a visit. Very reasonable price. We had starter and main plus drinks. Also they give 10% NHS discount.

Drove into town from London to have a lunch before going to the seaside , think it’s decent for those who don’t eat Asian food often to compare around here . Chicken katsu was good , papaya salad was decent , the pork belly was a bit burnt/dry, obviously and was re grilled from day before. Portions can be less scant, which was disappointing . Giving it an overall 4 because of the good waitress who spoke Cantonese, which was helpful for my in-laws who didn’t speak English and limited in reading the English menu.

Such a great place prob my favourite place in Folkestone. Food is better then Michelin star! Great ambience and good quality all round..everyone should try it!

Food was actually quite good. Some dishes i.e laksa noodle might have been toned down for western taste (too coconut-y). Fried rice with XO sauce was the best I’ve tried in the UK. Lovely attentive staff with thoughtful gestures such as complimentary birthday dessert. Good quality food, great value for money. Would definitely come back.

Had dinner with some friends tonight. The staff were so welcoming & friendly, the food was amazing 10/10 & highly recommend the mongolian lamb! My only negative is it was so cold in the resturant. We all said we would definetly return 🙂

Had a very lovely meal with my family at cocomee. The food was very good and service was excellent. Lots of options which the children loved.

They have a fantastic range of vegan options, which is always a winner, as it means everyone in our party can eat. We've been here quite a few times, mainly for family get togethers and birthdays. Regarding service ... We have always phoned up to double check that we could bring our dog, but the last time we went we were given considerable attitude from the waiter for not asking as soon as we walked in ... We were very close to walking out but he begrudgingly allowed to bring the dog in. Needless to say, by the time we had finished eating, there were several dogs in the restaurant. There was no need to make us feel so bad. The rest of the staff were wonderful.

Came here for my anniversary and they didn’t disappoint. The best chicken wings either of us have ever had(YOU MUST GET THE KOREAN WINGS) and the duck/kung pao bento boxes were also delicious, as well as the duck boa buns(again best we’ve ever had) The staff were very friendly and helpful, and their watermelon mojito was amazing. We would 100% come here again and cant recommend enough to anyone in the area. If I could put 10 stars I would.

First time here went for son's birthday. Food is amazing can't fault. Service is good,friendly and with a smile the staff were all very attentive and helpful. Catered well for my gluten allergy! The only thing that stopped me giving 5 stars was it was so cold in the restaurant we survived, but did ruin things a tad. Birthday boy was given a free birthday drink. That was a nice touch. Would definitely return, but when it's warmer which is a shame,.

First time at Cocomee but won’t be the last. The food was absolutely incredible, easily one of the best meals of my life. I had the Korean fried chicken for started then the Singapore curry laksa with char siu bbq pork and noodles and a side of kimchi fried rice- absolutely incredible, I would eat this every day if I could!! The service was crazy quick too - sometimes I get wary of a restaurant when the food comes out that quickly but the service was flawless and the food was too. Only thing was that it was a bit cold and I had to keep my coat on - but seriously I would happily wear my coat in there every day if it meant I got to eat the food 😂😂 cannot recommend enough, absolutely brilliant experience. Also great value for money - 2 lots of Korean fried rice, a side of kimchi fried rice, Laksa Curry and my partner had Kakuni Pork belly and it came to £48.

Unprofessional business. Used to work for them but quit abruptly due to poor/unfair treatment within the workplace. Tried to come back as a customer after half a year to buy my mother food and was refused service by the supervisor. Aside from the lack of professionalism the food itself is lovely but definitely more on the expensive side. Parking is also extremely sparse or a restaurant of it's capacity.

Went here for my birthday, the starters were excellent, nothing really to dislike. The mains unfortunately let down the overall meal, fortunately we ordered alot of starters 😅. Asahi on tap which is excellent. The actual place was very cold inside as its such a big restaurant the radiators can't make a dent in the coldness. Service was excellent.

We took our team out for their festive set menu. Food was fantastic! High quality dishes, with depth of flavour and range of texture and a lot of care taken. we were looked after very well and everyone had a great time.

Fabulous Malaysian classics, a gem right in Folkestone... Kids menu was delightful as well. Won't find better in Chinatown in London.

Food is amazing but the building is a little tired and it's often very cold to sit and eat which is a real shame.

Arrived on a Freezing cold evening in December. Did not have a clue what to order and took advice from the young member of staff who did not portray boundless sympathy or patience for our hesitation and ignorance of 'Pan-Asian' Cuisine. Eventually settled on Kung Pao Chicken, Dim Sun, Rice, Noodles and a Duck dish whose name escapes me. My friend had 2 pints of fruit cider and I had 2 cokes. This is a nice place offers good service and 'nice' food which we enjoyed but........... The Bill was Shocking at £97.00 !! Happily we were offered an 8% discount for paying cash which nursed the bloody nose (a little). It'll be a long time before we return.

We went at lunchtime, we were the only people there. We walked in and felt like we had walked in and interrupted a private meeting. A guy was ? on a laptop and awkwardly moved away without acknowledging us. The lunch menu was very limited. We looked at the main menu before going, but the main menu is not available at lunch. So we had difficulty finding food we wanted to eat (because the lunch menu was so limited). Atmosphere: we felt like we were sitting in a karaoke bar after everyone had gone home. Food: The laksa did not match others we have had. Try Roti King at Euston for a good one. (I've lived in Malaysia) The kung poh chicken was more sweet than spicy. A nice beef rendang would have been good to see on the lunch menu.

We had an amazing meal here tonight. With Chinese family in Malaysia myself, and experiencing these types of meals, I had high expectations of the food, and this restaurant surpassed them! The food was simply superb. So nice to have this high quality of service in our little town. Five star rating all the way. (I've added some photos, which don't give enough credit as to how delicious it all tasted!)

I have eaten Tom Yum Soup, Xiao Long Bao Soup Dumpling, and Beef in Black peppered honey sauce. All was superb with a perfect intensity of hot taste. Recommended 👍👍👍

Decent spot. The service was brilliant however the food was very average. The Malaysian Chicken curry was very middle of the road sadly and I would not be racing back to have it again . Would recommend the starters though, nice size and tasty.

Better quality food than Wagamama, with similar to a lower price. Had to go on a Tuesday so understandably not much of an atmosphere early, but loved the food so much ordered more for a takeaway a few days later.

Absolutely my favourite restaurant in Folkestone. I regularly take friends and family there when I'm in town and everyone agrees that it's fantastic food. Very interesting and unusual menu, everything delicious. Exceptionally friendly staff and prices much more reasonable than you might expect for such high quality meals. Today we were a party of 11 people and we were looked after super-well, as always. We will be back! I can't recommend this place enough.

They called and asked us to come early, we booked for 8pm, being courteous we agreed to come at 7.30, even though we weren’t that hungry, whilst we were dining they accepted 2 more tables nearly 45 minutes after we sat down!! Starters, duck bao ok, dim sum was good to be honest, but the chicken satay!! When was satay sauce made with tomato paste? Diabolical! So over cooked chewy chicken, moving on to main course, bento boxes.: I can’t even begin to explain how bland and awful these were… on the way back to the hotel we called in for a drink at rose mount who were so amazing from start to finish! Made us custom Cocktails and after hearing us talking about our bad experience, let us order some “bar snacks” incredible bread and feta twists! If in Folkestone head to rose mount!! Cocomee… more like dearymee!!!

So impressed with our lunch at Cocomee yesterday! A super warm welcome when we arrived got things off to a great start. I was looking for gluten free choices and I was well catered for! My husband went for the Korean fried chicken which he said was just perfect, and I got some edamame beans, yum. The lunch set menu was astonishingly good value, I had a chicken curry with rice, and amazingly generous portion! Sweet, coconutty, spicy, crunchy veg and really moreish. My husband went for the char Sui pork which he also highly rated. We got a tom yum papaya salad as well which was super tasty, fresh and crunchy. There was some great draft beers which my husband tried and I went for the jasmine iced tea mocktail which was also fab! Left feeling super satisfied and so impressed with the value! Even the background music was good - ninja tunes label - if you appreciate that kind of thing. Will def be back!

We had never had PanAsian food before, so did not know what to expect. Staff were very friendly and helpful to assist in our dining experience. Had an amazing meal. Great food menu with plenty of choices. We had a Bento box meal, so had a variety of food to try out. Drinks menu was good also, and we had the chance to try Japanese beer too.Toilets were clean. We would highly recommend and we will visit again also.

Great food but starer portions are very small. Mainly Wasabi prawns and Korean Chicken wings.

Nice restaurant with good food and good service. Vegetarians are well catered for and have a variety of choices. The only negative to my visit was some of the ingredients for the cocktails were not available, though there were plenty of other options to pick from.

Visited here after finding the restaurant advertised on Facebook. We were also delighted when we realised they offer halal meat also. We ordered starters off Korean fried chicken and prawn dim sum. Starters took about 30 minutes to arrive which was likely due to a massive party also arriving at similar time of ours. For the mains we ordered duck, kung pao chicken, scallion noodles and steamed rice. The duck was very dry even with the sauce and when we complained about this to our waitress Isobel she didn’t really know what to do and just said try it with the sauce. The scallion noodles was distasteful and we barely ate this. We were impressed with the starters but the mains were a disappointment. It was also very loud with the other big party therefore we didn’t enjoy ourselves as we thought we would.

We had a takeaway based on the reviews of the excellent quality food. Sadly I was Very disappointed. The chicken salad, didn't have chicken, it had soggy lumps of tofu. Certainly not worth the £13! The crispy lamb was below average, no longer crispy and slightly cold when it arrived. The pork dim sum, looked and tasted like no other dim sum I've ever had before. They looked like they'd been beaten up and put back together. The texture was of densely packed salty minced meat in half a coating. The kimchi rice was vaguely ok, gloopy orange rice with a few bits of fizzy cabbage, maskerading as kimchi. Maybe a sit down meal where it arrives hot on a plate might make the difference but sadly no take away from here again. Maybe don't offer take away if you can't do it right.

Excellent authentic Asian cuisine, brilliant service, and a lovely relaxed atmosphere.

Popped in for a bite on a Tuesday night and was surprised how busy it was. The menu offers a good mix and is different from a lot of Pan Asian restaurants I've been to. When it came out the food was generously portioned and very tasty. I can recommend the Korean Fried Chicken and DimSum starters and the Bento Boxes and Kakuni Pork mains!

First time, I rang to ask about vegetarian options for takeaway, the lady was so helpful and went through the menu and recommended food for me, I arrived and it was all ready, so friendly, and discount for cash! That's unusual now, so very happy, the food was absolutely amazing and great value, most definitely be a favourite now! 😍

Lovely food and really attentive service. Great lychee cocktail and well stocked bar. Was quiet but was early Thursday evening and seems a lot busier when we pass at weekends. Had a menu which detailed the dishes which were gluten free, which made our visit really simple. We will return!

First time here but will definitely come again. Vegan menu is different to normal menu and has amazing options, as vegetarians we could pick things off both menus ( just remember to ask for vegan menu as well ). Food was incredible. Veggie gyzoas, tempura bento boxes were so yummy. The kung po tofu was amazing, plus the rice we ordered to go with it. The pak choi and smacked cucumbers were also so yummy and I think I will order the cucumbers every time I go. Every part of the meal was so good. Lovely meal, good prices and lovely atmosphere Can't wait to visit again

Amazing place, the food was delicious and the serving looked very authentic. The menu contains a lot of great options for every taste, including vegetarian options. The prices are reasonable, and the personnel is very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and would love to visit again!

I love Singaporean/malaysian food and am always on the lookout for decent restaurants. On the whole. Most tend to be in the major cities- London, Birmingham, etc. I am surprised to have only just discovered this restaurant - the owner running the place was friendly and welcoming. The food was tasty and I certainly will be back for more

My six year old son, loved the kids menu he went with tempura prawns and then chicken noodles. He liked it so much he tried every other dish on the table. The curry Laska was the best I have ever had ! 100% will return

We were a group of 6 dining here on the 18th Feb. We have chosen this restaurant due to the high reviews and were really looking forward to trying it out. Sadly, this was the worst service we have ever had, or rather “no service” at all. We had to constantly try and get someones attention to the point where it took us nearly 30 minutes to order our drinks. The food itself was really good, however by the time it had arrived we were too frustrated to enjoy it and couldn’t wait to leave the place which is a shame.

Fantastic choice of food that isn't the "standard" Asian fare coupled with awesome service and very reasonable prices.

Arrange a friend’s birthday here for a party of 14 people , because of the amount of people a £8 deposit was required for each, simply done, the restaurant were very patient with us as people were quiet late, the food was excellent, just remember to order noodles or rice with the meals . They have a very good gluten free options and vegan menu, both were used by our party, both said there food was excellent, the staff are very friendly and patient with us. I had the Korean fried chicken wings for starter and the pork belly and steamed rice for my main. Both were excellent and nice tasting. We were able to bring in our own cake and they put a candle on it and took it to our table. I can’t comment on the disable toilet as I didn’t look for it. Lovely atmosphere and great food.

Been here twice now, the vegan food selection here is absolutely delicious! The staff are friendly & welcoming too. Only reason I've given 4 instead of 5 stars is because the 2nd time we came, our food wasn't very hot and took a really long time to come out to us. (It wasn't a busy Saturday night or anything, just an early Sunday lunch with only 2 other customers there at the time!) So maybe the usual chef was absent, who knows. We'd still happily come back though, as the 1st time we came it was amazing, so worth another chance for sure.

We visited on 14th January for a family lunch. Restaurant was busy and ambient. Service was prompt and welcoming and our food delivered very quickly, as well as drinks. I had the tofu katsu curry which was delicious (photo added). Everyone else had a vegan noodle dish, tofu katsu bento box, and the pork bento box. Pork meat was a little tough, otherwise we all cleared our plates and finished off with some lovely mochi for dessert (highly recommend!). We'll certainly come again to try more of the veggie/vegan options. I really appreciated the separate menus for 2 vegans, 1 veggies and 1 gluten free in our group. It can make eating out tricky! Thank you Tip! Pau by cash if you can as it helps reduce the impact of card service cost and you'll get a discount on your bill, 8% I think At least this was the case when we went!

The food is very tasty here and well presented. I had Korean fried chicken wings and Mongolian lamb.. the wings were perhaps the most crispy, sticky, sweet, spicy wings ever made. The Mongolian lamb came as described "cooked until the skin is crispy and the fat is melting".. the fat was liquid, be prepared.

Always good! And I've visited several times. These pics are of Dragon Whisker Prawns served with a heavenly mango dipping sauce and Duck Spring Rolls which you enjoy wrapped in a medley of fresh leaves and dipping sauce. Delish!

Lovely staff, very accommodating and happy energy. Amazing sake cocktail Matcha Mule 👌🏼👌🏼Highly recommend. Food menu was great, something for everyone and importantly for fusion the dishes were spiced and seasoned beautifully to the cuisine of region origin. Definitely would go back when in town again.
