Excellent Chinese, best we have tried in Folkestone. Quick delivery, always enjoy it, staff are friendly, and price is reasonable.

Have to say I don't recognize the negative reviews. I've been getting takeaways from.the Tase of China for years and it's the best around! I'm always disappointed when I have to go elsewhere!! The food is always fresh and hot, and not greasy like other takeaways. The owners are also always so friendly polite and helpful too. Great Chinese takeaway!

I have been eating Chinese food since late 50s mainly in London's East India dock road when Chinese food was mainly chicken chow mein and noodle dishes the chow mein in this takeaway was inedible and no way the chow mein that I have eaten for years very thin noodles and tasteless sorry but not good Original Chinese food I threw it away wasted £20.00 will not go back. We love this takeaway. The food is always freshly cooked and is excellent quality. Their king prawns are the best as are their sesame prawn toasts. One of the best takeaways!

i’m not the complaining type but the house special chow mien resembled chunder and soup. the prawn crackers were a mix of white and brown which shows the oil was dirty or they were mixed with a previous batch. thanks!

Worst Chinese I’ve ever tasted special chow mein resembles nothing Chinese with a more likeness to a soup left over from a week before, wouldnt recommend to my worse enemy

absolutely disgusting. I cannot believe that they have the nerve to call it Chinese. They shouldn't be allowed to sell anything of that sort and I'd like to think trading standards would agree with me. House special chow mein was absolutely rank and watery. The prawn crackers were brown and white and tasted horrible.

I really enjoyed the food from here. Portion sizes were as expected and the food was tasty. The lady at the counter helped us to decide on our order. Cooking time was fairly quick. Would definetly come back.

Got a delivery of salt and chilli chicken and chips,along with a mixed starter, all were delicious and cooked to perfection, delivery was only 25 minutes, will definitely use again,Got another delivery and had the salt and chilli chicken and chips again and also tried the spare ribs and they were great, same speedy delivery from the friendly driver.Also tried the smoked chicken and butterfly king prawns in breadcrumbs and both were fantastic.And there crispy aromatic duck is amazing.

I’ve been using taste of China for about 18 years now and I can honestly say the food is always perfect, flavours are amazing and cooked to perfection! Family run business and they are so kind and friendly.

Women on the phone is rude last night we made an order and cancelled because the price was extreme to the usual amount I told them we didn’t want the order yet some man turns up at our door very rude demanding we payed my partner being here on her own payed as she was abit scared today I phone up to be given a mouthful of abuse and told basically to F off rung up to simply get the money back and get told we are in the wrong I cancelled the order you delivered being much upon rude and as for the women mouthing it down the phone fix up on your customer service and not swear at your customers I will be contacting trading standards and letting them know the way you think you can trade and treat a customer I suggest you contact me

Think they have changes owner sin e 7 years ago, then it was awful but now it's our first port of call, good food and fair prices

I think it’s hard to judge a take away off others reviews; one lady said she was fussy over Chinese and this was place was really good.. well since Chinese is my favourite I am extra fussy! We ate here whilst staying away for the night. It was good but not the best Iv had. We like a modern style Chinese with chip shop style chips. The chilli salt chios here are crinkle cut oven chips with chopped fresh chilli, chilli flakes and spring onion. Not the best but Wev had worse. The salt n pepper chicken wasn’t like what we usually get, not your usual chicken nugget style. It was like chicken straws you can get from Tesco! Very bizarre! We like traditional egg fried rice that’s brown, this was white with spring onions in. The crispy chilli beef was good, had celery in it though which we found strange. It was tasty though! As I said originally, we have had better but also had much worse.

First time ordering. I’m quite fussy with Chinese as was spoilt when living in London. However the order was perfectly cooked, duck already shredded for you, bonus!! Hot, not greasy, spring rolls lovely and again not greasy. Sweet young lady took the order. Very happy, will use again.

I all ways get my china's take away from here and when they was closes for I time I hade to go somewhere else and the china's was rely salty. All I can say is you can't better the china's from Taste of china.

I always get my Chinese takeaway from here if you like prawns try there butterfly king prawns in bread crumbs with a slice of lemon. I always have a fantastic meal and it's normally a quick delivery service

The food was amazing. Fist time if trying the menu and we won't be going back to old Chinese restaurant.

Good quality takeaway. Mixed veg included courgette, brocoli, carrot, onion, red and yellow peppers, celery, mushrooms - all fresh and well cooked. Not greasy like many takeaways - a cut above the average. Not 5 stars as some of meat (chicken) in some dishes was soft - tasted low qulaity - but chicken in some dishes was fine and tasted good.

I have used this place several times now, the staff are very nice - if not a little difficult to understand. You usually get a Ltr of Coke free and Prawn crackers (we spend around £35), and they do free delivery withing range. The food is generally of a good standard in comparison with othe chinese fast food centres. The last time here we ordered Sweet & Sour chicken balls (deep fried but excellent, nice chunky chicken with crispy batter), special fried rice (nicely cooked and flavoursome), mushroom fried rice (also very good), beef in blackbean sauce (very gloopy and curious pieces of curly beef, chicken satay (done to perfection, very tasty), chicken chowmein and cashew chicken. My problem is the chicken dishes, except the chicken balls have very odd textured chicken. Its not grainy like normal chicken, its so soft you can squidge it through your teeth! This put me off so much I didn't eat the rest of the food with the wierd stuff (meat?) inside it. The beef is rather odd too, kind of curly strips and very chewy. So on that basis - I'm out.

Over priced .... rude ... argumentative false ... small portions . Items missing from order no free stuff that was promised.......please see experience......... Tried it because of the rating ... I found this not the case ... lady was shouting at customers when they asked for chips ... if you wan chip go nex door... the menu states free prawn crackers when 10 pound spent free bottle when 30 spent . We spent 40 pounds and waited an hour and didnt get free praw crackers and it was not a 1.5 or 2 litre bottle that you would expect . Went home found things missing we ordered so called them they hung up on us so obviously we drove all the way back for her to argue with us telling us what we did and didn't order . The room is unclean with dirty fish tank . water damaged paintings and poor old food display photos The portion sizes was honestly a handful if you were luck per item .food was actually disgusting . Also they shouted in Chinese so we couldn't understand ... no fortune cookies . Just the biggest disappointment there is . Will never ever order or eat from here again . We don't have chips you order we don't have prawn crackers we no have

I will start, the food is excellent. But this is not the first time the order is wrong. Bit peeved tonight. Rang through the order. Should have asked the cost..but didn't. Bit shocked after waiting over an hour for delivery and it was a fair bit more. Normally we would just accept it but we didn't have the extra £6.00 cash so looked at what we had ordered. Our 53 had become an additional 153! We were charged for both. The very pleasant delivery lad took the 153 we had not ordered away and off the bill and everything was fine. But as has happened before the 53 (curry sauce) was missing!. Rang them back and then waited another hour for it. Alright they did give us the pork (153) but we had already eaten. We often eat with our neighbours but what you get to what you order is getting more wrong!

This is the 1st time we have had a Chinese from here and it was a wonderful experience. From the telephone order to delivery was exceptional service. We ordered a meal for 2 but quite honestly there was enough for 3. Highly recommended, flavours were lovely, veg cooked exceptionally well, Hot Tasty and waiting time was second to none. Will highly recommend to you all, a true taste of China x

Just had my first takeaway from Taste of China and was really impressed very tasty. All the family enjoyed it. Will definitely be our first port of call when we have our rare takeaway treat.

They make a great larger portion for one of beef in black bean sauce and beef with mushrooms (this comes with egg fried rice) and my partner raves about the Chinese beef curry in the larger portion and it’s relatively good value as you get a lot of food.

Whenever we order the process is easy whit great staff to deal with, food always arrives hot and tasty can’t ask for more...

I've been using this Chinese takeaway for years, always clean, they prepare your meals fresh when they get the order. They rarely put their prices up, they don't fill the meals up with cheap filling i.e. Big chunks of peppers & onions. Sensible prices with quick service.

Before we moved to Folkestone we had a regular Chinese takeaway we used. When we moved we were trying to find one that was on par with what we had. We had a flyer through the door for the Taste of China. We tried it and now we are hooked. The food is delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. One day whilst with friends we decided to order on the phone and have it delivered. The order was easily completed over the phone and was delivered promptly. We would highly recommend the Taste of China. Excellent service and excellent food. Good for Gluten free and vegetarian too!

I am not generally a fan of take away food, or even Chinese food, and we originally used this place because it is near home and home delivers. It has become a firm favourite and I am bemused that it is not near or at the of the list of Folkstones- indeed Kents - resteraunts. The food is plentiful and tasty, made to order from fresh ingredients, and is delivered promptly and piping hot. The people are nice and the prices are cheap. Call them now - use my phone!

This takeaway is always our first choice. We have had many meals delivered and all but one (which was on a Sat eve) have been good. Last night we ordered a set meal for 4 with our neighbours. It forced us all to try something different as we usually order the same. It was lovely and plenty for 5 or even 6. The food was hot varied with beef chicken and prawn dishes. The crispy spring rolls were delicious and the vegetables still had a bit of bite not overcooked and sloppy like some places. Delivery was quick and prices are good.
