Wimpy in Wycombe

Really friendly welcome on entering. Spotlessly clean tables and environment. Delicious freshly cooked hot food served on a china plate! Would recommend a visit to Wimpy High Wycombe. Great staff

Immaculately clean and well presented restaurant. Friendly and welcoming staff. I was on a lunch break from work and thought I'd treat the apprentice to his first ever wimpy, glad to say it was a brilliant as I remembered it to be. Food was fresh, hot and perfect. I really do hope this is a very much welcomed comeback for the franchise.

I came up from London for a birthday treat…..I was very disappointed,cold burger and greasy chips….spoiled my day out!! 😡😡

The food is usually hot and tasty and there is a varied menu. The staff are friendly. There is limited space for wheelchair/walker users, though there is a disabled toilet (when it isn't out of order.) It is quite expensive.

It's a wimpy it does what it says on the menu service was ok food was ok I'm sure there's cheaper places about but it was fine no complaints

Sadly I can only comment on the attitude off the staff and lack of service and not on the quality of the food or cooking. I arrived a little before 9:20pm for a quick sit down meal when they closed at 10pm on a Saturday evening. I was very enthusiastically welcomed by three members of staff at once in entering and ushered to sit down. Then seconds later I was abruptly told it was take away only. As I had been working all day and did not want to walk and eat simultaneously, I decide to leave with nothing and find somewhere else more accommodating. There was no else one in the wimpy at all and I think the staff were just wanting to go home. I have worked as a chef myself in wimpy so know the form on how long it takes to cook something. Not impressed sadly, the food might be nice but I will never know now, as was not given the opportunity and will not be going there ever in the future.

Very fresh food, came hot and freshly made. Excellent customer service. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the restaurant.

Good, clean and a very efficient fast service.

We just wanted somewhere quick before the theatre and a Wimpy seemed to fit the bill. I hadn't been to a Wimpy for many years and was pleasaantly surprised. The restaurant was immaculate but, more importantly, the staff were friendly and efficient. I had a regular cheeseburger and my husband had a spicy beanburger. We were both very satisfied with our choices, my husband being particularly pleased that there were two vegetarian choices - a plant based patty as well as the beanburger. If you are in the mood for a burger then I recommend giving Wimpy a try, especially if you haven't been in one for a while.

Perfect service and staff. Nothing is too much trouble. The whole atmosphere is welcoming and warm. Would recommend it to all. Being vegetarian I am picky where I eat.

I took my Granddaughter out for lunch and got her Mummy & Daddy a takeaway.

I decided on the 21 st November, whilst I was out and about High Wycombe, within Buckinghamshire. That I’d luncheon out at this Wimpy Restaurant. As I enter I noticed how clean , and tidy seating area is. Also attentive and helpful staff always. The menu is good for breakfast through to lunch too. I had the classic cheese burger and chips. With a coke too. They give good sized portions on meals , which helps if you a little one with you to share. As it can be pricey. But the meal was very tasty and recommend this Restaurant strongly. All in all A very pleasant visit for tourists too!

I visited this Wimpy restaurant within High Wycombe high street , England today for lunch. It’s always pleasant, and tidy seating area. Gives a air of hygienic atmosphere with nice staff , who are very attentive. I sat down at a nice table , and ordered the classic cheese burger and chips ! But the menu covers breakfast, lunch and dinner. For adults and children. My meal was very tasty, but it can be expensive. But the good thing is the meals are served in large portions, so a adult with a child could share ! It’s good for all ages there , and I think tourists would enjoy a fuss free meal too. All in all a very pleasant restaurant to visit. I recommend strongly !

Wonderful team, manager is absolutely lovely, food is hot and fresh, I even buy thier own brand ketchup. Nothing is a trouble to these guys.

I came here on my Birthday. I had full English Breakfast with tea and orange juice. My bill came to £11.50 The staff were very friendly. I will be back again.

Went for a simple Wimpy cheeseburger with a side of fries. The food was excellent - it was served quickly and everything was fresh, including the fries. Prices are slightly more expensive than McDonald's but in my experience the quality makes up for the difference.

Took me back to when I was a kid.awesome milkshakes.

Best burger in terms of texture and taste, although the salad in burger king is much better because its thicker cut - whereas the salad in wimpy is shredded fine except for the tomatoes. Its very expensive - but the price is definitely worth it as a "one off" treat. Do NOT eat here regularly as you will go broke very quickly.

Better than the average Wimpy. I wish Wimpy would go back to offering fried onions with a hambuger as they did in the 60s to the 80s or at least offer the option. Was a great treat for me as a kid to have a Wimpy with said fried onions, the big pot of French Mustard and a nice hot cup of tea in a China cup. And of course the toasted bun which they still offer. The nearest I can get to a 1960s Wimpy is in Munchees Cafe & Restaurant, Butter Market, Reading. The Unit used to be a Wimpy years ago (I always used to have a Kingsize there, it's now been removed from the menu due to lack of demand !!). Note Munchees closes at 15.00.

They are always really friendly in here. My son loves the burgers, they are freshly cooked not fatty and always lots of garnish. Chips portions are very generous. Shakes are made with ice cream and not pumped full of air like some places I could mention. Its also very clean in here. We will return soon.

Lovely clean, modern restaurant with friendly, helpful staff. Varied menu with choices for pretty much everyone. Generous portions of fries which were piping hot and tasty. Treated ourselves to a dessert with our meal and the brownies & ice-cream were definitely a winning choice. The restroom was absolutely spotless and smelt divine which was a pleasant change to some restaurants. Glad we chose this Wimpy as a spur of the moment choice for lunch whilst out shopping.

Haven't been in a Wimpy for about 35 years! The High Wycombe branch is a great restaurant, friendly staff, very very clean premises We had a special Wednesday deal of burger, chips and a soft drink. Tasty freshly prepared food on a China plate with cutlery! Desserts buy one get one free. A lovely meal at a great price. Highly recommend popping in here for something to eat or drink.

Very nice staff. Brought back fond memories. They have a vegan burger and also a vegetarian one which we're very nice.

Wonderful food took me back to my childhood days and for the ketchup tasted just liked I remember, my mum had a spicy bean burger and loved it we large chips and tea all freshly cook, wonderful staff x

Haven't been to a wimpy for a long time, so I decided to go and see if they are one of the best places to eat, and I wasn't disappointed, I had the all day breakfast and it was fantastic, the food was cooked perfectly and hot, a fantastic place to eat and the staff were friendly..

Quality, affordable breakfast or burgers. I love the club burger (quarterpound beef with chicken) and brown Derby for dessert.

Great to see a Wimpy in High Wycombe. I used to love a Wimpy Bar as a kid, and still remember the first time I arrived at a Wimpy only to discover it had been turned into a dreadful MacDonalds, with it's pappy, tasteless burgers chucked at you in mounds of wasteul and unnecessary packaging. Lovely to have plates, knives and forks, and a pleasant and attentive young serveuse. A really delicious burger, if not quite the Wimpy of old!

Had a hankering for Wimpy as I hadn't tried it for years. Didn't disappoint. Food was just as good. Burger was great with the wimpy burger sauce and the fries were excellent...just like they should be and even better when compared with other traditional fast food places. They even had the Wimpy ketchup. The place was clean and the service was great. Very polite people.

Not Wimpy, run by someone who has kept the "wimpy" name. Friendly staff, nice & clean but the food is not to my standards, just like that of a local chicken corner shop. It's ok but not as tasty as I would like.

Delicious burger store, quite clean, with a wide variety of burgers and breakfasts like hash brown muffins, quarter-pounder with bacon and cheese, mozzarella melts, breaded chicken fillet, fish finger burger, gourmet chicken burger, hot and spicy bacon burger, eggs and bacon pancake stack, all day breakfast, and flavoured milkshakes like vanilla, strawberry, chocolate and banana, as well as desserts like Eskimo waffles, brown derby, chocolate brownie, brownie sundae etc. It also has a kids menu, staff were very friendly and helpful, would recommend.

I don't care what anybody says, wimpy are the best burgers in town.

A great wimpy restaurant. Attentive service and large portions. Good to have plates with knives and forks. Drinks in China mugs and glasses. The music was at a nice level,not loud as in most places. The milkshake was divine as I have had throat surgery recently.

Only take away at moment, but looks good for when the restriction are lifted.

Wow! Took me back to the 80s......bender burger tasty and much the same as was, the vegan burger was “steak like” and far better than anything the other takeaways offer for those of us who are meat free. The fries put others in the shade and are large, generous portions. Shakes delish too. Maybe a bit dearer than the golden arches but far superior. Treat yourself and go back in time to those happy Wimpy days of your past.

Went to wimpy tonight staff are so nice and friendly,it was nice to have burger that looked like it’s picture ,freshly cooked and nice crunchy fries ,and best of all a brown derby as good as we remember it ,3 x burger and chips ,3 cokes and 3 brown Derby’s £39 we will be back

It's been years since the old Wimpy closed in Wycombe so it was really nice to see one reopening. As they first opened during the second lockdown they were only doing takeaway but you can now eat in so we went for dinner in this week. We were not disappointed!! It's lovely and clean and the staff were very friendly - the food was proper wimpy food so if you have been missing a wimpy you will be happy to know that the classics are all back! It was well cooked and quickly served, will definitely return.
