Had lunch with our grandchildren. Great pizzas. Dog friendly.

Nice venue, friendly staff and good food and wine selection. Pizzas are tasty and a reasonable price. Platters are very nice but pricey. The place is quite small and narrow so I would recommend getting there earlier if you want a seat. Reservations can only be made for 18:30 latest.

After a disappointing start at another local pub, we found ourselves at Dukes, and we couldn't have been happier. It's a little more expensive, but you pay for quality and that's what we got. The drinks, food and atmosphere were great. Next time, we won't waste time going to a dive bar first, we'll come straight here where our business was clearly appreciated!

Great setting in Princess Risborough High Street. Busy Saturday night due to Kop Hill Climb. We will definitely be back again.

Lovely place with exceptionally friendly and warm service plus a small but imaginative menu. We met friends in Princes Risborough and initially were a bit stuck for a lunch place with various pubs being closed etc. Then we found Duke’s and it made our day. Thank you very much!

I just had the most delightful experience at Dukes Wine Bar! Not only do they serve amazing salads, but they also went above and beyond by customizing a dish for me that wasn't even on the menu. The staff here really knows how to make you feel special. Can't wait to come back and try more of their delicious creations!

Our work Christmas party went exceptionally well thanks to Dukes. The rooms were layed out to allow the party of 30 to chat, laugh and enjoy the fantastic food. Highly recommend Dukes Wine Bar for social and work occasions.

What a fabulous place, excellent food and amazing service. We were up from the south coast visiting relatives and we will have to come again soon! You must try the sweet potato chips they are fab...I should have taken a photo, but by the time I thought about doing this I had finished them!

Located in Prices Risborough, Dukes pub is ideal for a few beers. The pizzas were delicious and so were the burgers. We will be back

Dukes wine bar is incredible. The atmosphere is great, the staff all have an amazing sense of humour. A fab evening was had by both of us. Would we come back? Yes in a heartbeat. Can't wait to come back with other friends before Christmas... table 7 is incredible (but don't tell anyone ssshhh) . Totally awesome night with amazing food!

Came to have a drink and the bar maid looked at us with we were not worthy of being served. She then proceeded to say they were full and very busy and dismissed us like peasants. Very upsetting and not professional we are actually both very affluent. Word of mouth is a powerfull marketing tool!

My wife and I come here as much as we can. The team are awesome. The food matches the great service. We’ve never had a bad meal or experience in this place. Whether you’re local or visiting, pop into Dukes Wine bar on your own, with family or a couple popping out for dinner, we’ve done it all and it’s just fab. Really! Owned by someone who has no understandig for wine only money I will rectify this The cheap glasses poorly washed and the smell yes the smell as I am overcharged for cheap uneducated wine is an insult to the residents and me shut it down Insult to me! I have no Idea about the food as I did not eat this is a simple wine review but I will visit again One of the staff took a real dislike to me asking for overpriced wine to be served correctly

Decent venue and food but booked well in advance for 6 people only to be told on the day (not at the time of booking) that they had taken a booking for a group wake and that our table would only be available for 1.5 hrs. We were rushed out as soon as the wake party arrived. Obviously groups have priority regardless of when they book.

We’ve had a few of visits to Dukes now as fairly new residents in PR. The food has been great as is the drinks. The best thing by far though is the service and everyone who works here is super friendly. The place is also dog friendly which is a huge tick for us. The pubs in this town are awful so this is going to be our regular hang out.

Spent a sunny afternoon in the garden listening to a band. Good drinks and atmosphere.

Not great service on this visit. staff more interested with updating each other and customers already at bar about the owner spending New Year's Eve in jail after beating up a customer!!

Have mixed experiences at this venue. Similar to other reviews recent service has not been good, the young, slightly nervous staff meant well but we did not feel they were supported by the owners - a large man and older woman.

This is normally a lovely drinking venue which we love to visit. This Saturday however, we were made to feel, in my opinion, very un-welcome and second class. We had arrived for drinks with our friends when we saw a family member with his friends. We greeted them with a loud cheer, all in good fun, and was promptly told by a gentleman that this is not the way to behave in here and if you wanted to act in that way then we should quote "go over to The Whiteleaf pub". He then went on to say that the guests that we had said hello to had apparently led two tables to leave because of the noise? Why then did he not ask them to leave? Could it have been because they spent £177.00 in that one evening!?

Went with our son & girl friend for lunch. Sat outside at the back. You order food at the bar. Nice menu. We ordered large mezze & large fish sharing platters, washed down with a rose. We had been here about an hour and realised other tables that had arrived after us were getting their food. Had to go and check at the bar & yes our order had not been placed! They did apologies but i believe they should have noticed before we asked. Food was lovely when it arrived. Service let our visit down, food alone would have warrented 5*.

We’ve been here numerous times over the past six years (since my mother moved into the area) and the food and service has always been good. Sadly we went last week and the serving staff appeared all very young, inexperienced and nervous. First of all we asked if we could use the table next to us too as ours was small for four adults - three of whom ordered the platters. Apparently the table was booked (although no sign) and when nobody was using it later we ended up putting our used plates on it as they weren’t being taken from our table. Twice one member of our party had to move his chair out as a server wanted to get to the wine store (the door was trapped by our table) and each time it was us who joked about it, he appeared very nervous and awkward. We had a bottle of champagne on arrival and a bottle of wine with our meals, then at 9.30 I went to order coffees to be told the machine was turned off at 9.30 and couldn’t be turned back on. I questioned why it couldn’t be turned back on and the two young girls just looked at each other - they then looked at another girl (who seemed slightly older and definitely more confident) who said it was being cleaned which happened every night at that time. I asked if it was possible to have teas and apparently they have no kettle ! The owner (I think - or manager - she didn’t introduce herself) appeared at our table - With the opening line ‘I’m not really supposed to be working tonight’ (not sure what we were supposed to say to that) and when we said it would have been nice if someone had asked if we wanted coffees or at least warned us, she basically said it was our fault for taking so long with our meals ! Then a man appeared (Im guessing the husband of the woman) and defended the decision saying they don’t sell much coffee ... it is, after all, a wine bar ! I said I’d asked for teas and he told me very few kitchens / restaurants had kettles ?? I felt our comments that maybe people should be told the ‘cut off point’ for coffee when they’re having dinner fell on deaf ears. What a shame - up to that point we had had a nice meal and it was rather spoiled by not being able to have coffees but - more importantly - the total refusal to accept that the customer should be told this. The following evening we went to The Manor wine bar just a few doors along the High Street - fabulous food and surroundings - drinks afterwards on the rooftop terrace - and quite honestly possible the best service I’ve experienced! Confident and experienced and knowledgable serving staff. What a difference. We won’t be going back to Dukes. Sad as we’ve had some lovely evenings there - but I feel the service isn’t the same and somehow I don’t think they’ll worry we’re not coming back !!

The choice of wines is excellent as is the menu. The staff are friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is lively. A great night out and not expensive. Thank you Louise, Ron & Margaret.

A great evening was had by myself and four old school friends with all our needs catered for with ease. A wide selection of reasonably priced dishes to accompany some great wines and even the option of gluten free pizza bases and vegan cheese for our gluten and dairy intolerant friend (big thumbs up). Will definitely be returning soon!

I visited Duke’s Wine Bar today with my girlfriend for lunch, let me tell you how AMAZING this place is. We were seated immediately with drinks ordered before we sat down. Food only took 10 minutes and it was AMAZING. Great value for money and cannot recommend enough. This is now my place to come and will be recommending to absolutely everyone!

I contacted Louise at Duke's to order some red wine for my wife's first mother's day. Louise could not have been more helpful! She not only suggested some great wines, but also delivered them, gift wrapped! Amazing service and brilliant value - can't wait to visit in person again soon! Thank you!

Our first visit since full lockdown ended, we ordered wine, lager and a couple of the platters. Really good food, first class service all in all a very enjoyable evening in very comfortable warm surroundings. Dukes is a great addition to eating/drinking places in Risborough and we look forward to many more visits.

Gorgeous place, such a nice feel tinif, beautiful log burner, lovely food and outstanding wine, met the owners who are both lovely and so helpful and warming. We will certainly be coming back and would highly recommend this lovely place. Thanks guys.

Pre-Lockdown 2 meal. Booked a table for a group of friends for the final night of freedom. From the second we walked through the door, we had five star service. Gary introduced himself personally, took us to our COVID safe table, talked to us on a personal level, recommended dishes to order. Service was fantastic, along with the food and drinks.Hesitated about leaving this review as was worried we wouldn’t be able to get through the door again. Absolute gem. Will be taking advantage of the take-away drinks and pizza’s during the 4 week lockdown. Great atmosphere, can’t wait to return when Dukes re-opens fully in December.

Good wine choices and at reasonable prices too. Strange that I was told there was no gin list despite having one on our visit a couple of weeks ago, cannot order at the bar so that makes it a little hard to choose! Food was okay, however we all felt it was overpriced for what it was. £14.95 for a mini burger platter which had a handful of tiny burger patties and a few slices of bread! For £8 we had the small nachos but there was very little cheese, I guess because it’s a more expensive ingredient. Pizza was nice though! When we were getting the bill there was a £25 bottle of Rose on there which we never ordered, it was sorted but that’s still and expensive mistake if we hadn’t realised. Would recommend for drinks but perhaps not the food.

Spent a few hours in Dukes Wine Bar last night (first time since Covid) with a group of friends. Felt very safe, staff wearing masks, tables a good distance from each other and even sanitiser on the table. Food as always was tasty, we love the platters! and a good range of drinks to suit all. We opted for wine and shots :) #supportyourlocal

What a welcoming and enjoyable place! Discovered by accident today - we would become regulars if we lived here. First rate choice of excellent food and drinks in a well designed and relaxing environment which is also animal friendly. Great service and excellent toilet facilities with well planned system of entering and leaving the premises to comply with Covid requirements. Gives you confidence that these people know what they are doing and are serious about it!

Great to be able to revisit Dukes following lockdown. If anything the ambience is even better with more space and a very safe environment to enjoy great food and a lovely selection of drinks. A big asset to Princes Risborough.

This is the standard others should aim for. Competitors need to raise their game for the in-town high-end coin in Risborough or Dukes and Radhuni will just remain packed out - as indeed they both deserve to be. Shame there's not more of it about.

Wow, what a fabulous night, the band were just great playing all the favourate songs, the atmosphere was just superb, just the right number of guests without being over crowded, Louise & her staff were great & very busy. As we have only just moved to Princes Risborough in the last few weeks, it was great for us to meet some of the lovely people living in this lovely market town of Risborough. We will be booking for newt year. Tony & Patricia.

Visited for dinner recently with a friend. The atmosphere was really nice and we were made to feel very welcome. I had the sweet and tangy pizza which was really nice and the side salad was a nice touch. Definitely one of the best pizzas I’ve had. Fries were also lovely and crisp. Very reasonable price as well!! I would highly recommend Dukes Wine Bar and will definitely be back.

Got me very drunk. Had a fantastic birthday. Very accommodating as booked for 6 and 13 turned up. No queue at the bar and gorgeous and stylish interior. Toilets are a 10/10.

I visited Dukes Wine Bar for dinner tonight with a friend and we were both very impressed with the service and food. We both had their stone baked pizzas with chips on the side, which was lovely. The atmosphere was relaxed and with the very cosy decorations we both felt like it was very welcoming. We will be back soon for sure!

We had another lovely meal at The Dukes this evening. We ate by candle light by a coal fire and a pretty Christmas tree. Our host gave us a warm welcome and took time to talk to us despite being very busy.

Been here a number of times for lunch. Always had a lovely choice of food at lunch time and normaly had a couple their sharing platters. Since our last visit they have a new lunch time menu which is fairly normal and not as interesting. What we had was very nice and the ambiance and service was as always good. However have given 3 stars as the new menu is very ordinary.
