Queens Head in Wycombe

Another lovely meal last night at the Queen's Head pub in Little Marlow. Great food and service. Recommend, and will go again.

Visited with close friends for an early evening dinner. Although we had booked for 18:00 (and arrived at that time), there was no pressure to sit down and order our food. It was a nice evening, so the group initially sat at tables in the front garden, from where our orders were taken. The menu had something for everyone in our party. The food was well presented and very tasty. Service was great - the staff even gave us a teapot of boiling water so that a baby feed could be prepared. The toilets were clean and well looked after and parking was available at the side of the pub. It was a lovely location - away from the main road and very quiet. The beer was good - I was able to have the "beer of the month" (Loop the Loop) from the nearby Rebellion Brewery! Prices were reasonable and I would certainly come here again.

Wow, what a little Gem of a pub. The food was amazing. I had a cheese burger, it was juicy 😋 full of flavour. My friend had the chicken burger 🍔 😋 wow.

One of the best burgers I have tasted in a long time. Luckily, we got there at the start of lunch as the garden area filled quickly. Throughout the service was quick and efficient. Our new 'local'.

Food was not the best had the Caesar chicken salad , chicken was over cooked the the whole dish just so not work . My friends had the sea bream which was cooked well but was suppose to have braised lettuce but was just lettuce. All the meals except one which was the overcooked salmon had lettuce. It just felt like to much lettuce……the desserts were ok . Will I return…. No

Can't give 5 stars yet as we haven't eaten here. Very nicely presented pub, clean, tidy gardens, just can't believe I've lived in the area for many years and haven't been here. We'll be back for food

We love going to Queens head it’s one of our favourite place to eat or have a drink. We book for Father’s Day lunch and it was the best treat for my husband. He loved the roast and I enjoyed their buttermilk chicken blt. Beautiful garden and amazing staff that’s always serving you with a big smile.

Always visit this beautiful pub when near Marlow We have been coming here for over eight years and it has never disappointed us My absolute favourite is the Caesar salad it’s simply amazing it’s an absolute must if you like that sort of thing the burger and frites is I’m told by my fellow delicious too I will return time and again for this special place hidden gem The staff are so lovely I highly recommend but don’t want to as it’s a secret place lol

A impromptu lunch date….where else would do but Marlow’s Little Secret. As always fantastic food! Service friendly and attentive and what a lovely atmosphere too. Perfect for a lunch date or special occasion. Dan and his staff never fail to impress. Open Halloumi Sandwich and a Steak baguette. You must try the vegetable samosas! All fresh and delicious 😋 Get yourselves down to The Queens Head!

Went for a friend's birthday in a group of 9. Food was brilliant, lovely creamy pate to start and beef to follow that melted in my mouth. Deeply flavoured sauce on top of all the veg and meat was excellent. Fantastic choclate tart pud to finish off the meal too. Excellent portions even though some of us couldn't finish it. Highly recommended!

Friendly staff, very cosy atmosphere. Food was incredible, the black pudding scotch egg with Aioli was delicious and the triple cooked chips were perfect.

Beautiful hidden gem with great atmosphere, good friendly service and a tasty Sunday roast. Couldn't have asked for anything more on a sunny Sunday late afternoon.

Stopped off for lunch en-route and so pleased we did. Pretty location just off dual carriageway near Bourne End and Marlow turn off. (Pub has its own car park). Greeted by a warm welcome by landlord and land lady. Opted for the snug over the main dining area with views over a patio. Tried a steak sandwich and french fries. Steak was tender and nicely cooked. Fries hot and crispy. My wife had the beer battered fish and triple cooked chips accompanied by freshly blended mushie peas and tartar sauce. More exotic dishes available but these were perfect for lunch time. Good standard of cookery and nice atmosphere. Recommended.

Such a loverly place to eat was treated for lunch for birthday treat by my elderly mother who hasn't been here for over 5years after my father passed away the food was apsolutly loverly so very tasty and fresh even thr homemade icecream where yummy 😋 will be back again great place and worth every penny 😊

Best fish and chips I have had in a long time. Fresh haddock in crispy batter with delicious mushy peas, tartare sauce and chunky triple fried chips.

A group of us convened here on a weekday lunchtime mainly for the purposes of catching up. As there weren't too many other customers, we were largely left to chat, which was exactly what we wanted; the long-suffering waitress a paragon of patience as she returned half a dozen times to see if we'd actually looked at the menu yet (let alone picked anything!) Having finally got around to seeing what was on offer, I, somewhat unwisely, went (what was for me) off piste and picked the burger (what could possibly go wrong, I wondered). What went wrong was pretty much everything. The chips were ok I suppose but the "seeded brioche" was mass-produced (of the type that never seems to get stale) and flabby, and the burger itself would have been more useful as an ice hockey puck. I was brought up never to leave food on my plate but, sorry Mum, there's a first time for everything and this was that time. I was not the only one amongst us to leave an uncleared plate but at least my partner's steak sandwich was a hit, with its pink-cooked, tender, juicy meat ... I'd pick it myself were I ever to return.

Arrived without a reservation. We were able to obtain a table on a very busy Sunday afternoon without much of a wait. Food and the service were very good.

We have been to this pub a few times and always enjoyed it. This time was very different, the weather was dreadful so obviously there was no chance to eat outside. The restaurant was not busy but we were seated in a dark corner. the table next to us were 3 couples and 3 babies who took it in turn to screech all the way through the meal. then the baby dropped a spoon on the floor and a dog appeared from under the table and started licking the spoon. The worst thing was the carpet was so disgusting it made me feel ill. Honestly it is so bad it would never pass any cleanliness checks. The waitress was helpful and friendly, the food was nice but the cost compared to the ambience was truly not worth it. I am sorry but dogs should not be allowed in a restaurant - a pub maybe but not when you are paying a good price. We both agreed we would not return because of the dirty carpet and ambiance

Sunday lunch - amazing food - very noisy - very disappointed that dogs are in the restaurant- the worst was the carpet was really stained and really put me off . We would come again but only to eat outside! Stained (badly) carpet, dogs, kids grizzling and poor lighting really freaked me

We have been visiting the Queens Head regularly for a number of years for both lunch and dinner and we have never been disappointed. The menu choice and quality of food is excellent for both lunch and dinner options and the outside seating area in the warmer weather is lovely. Inside the snug area with the fireplace is also very cosy in the winter months. The service from all of the staff has always been faultless whether you want a quick lunch or a longer dinner, they are very attentive and friendly. If you haven’t yet visited, give it a go, you won’t be disappointed!

The Queens Head was recommended to us and it did not disappoint. The food was superb. Really good variety on the menu. The four of us had a starter and a main and a couple couldn't resist the dessert menu. The wild mushroom risotto was one of the nicest I have ever tasted. Service was great too, friendly and efficient. The waitress was also very well informed on the menu, as it should be. We often meet in the Marlow area for a meal as it is pretty central for all members of the family. This experience has really stood out. Can't wait to return.

We visited twice this week - what a gem of a pub. Friendly welcome, happy staff, small menu choice but WOW, the food was superb. Not all "run of the mill" pub grub, thank goodness. The added bonus for us was that we could chat over the meal without having to compete with ludicrously loud "background music". If only we had more places like this.

We had two evening meals here this week and on each visit the welcome and service were excellent and the food was superb. A lovely change from the usual run of the mill pub food and each meal for the four of us cooked to perfection. Wish we lived nearer!

We had lunch at the Queen's Head this week having not been there for a long time (a year or more). Our lunch was really excellent: fresh and tasty and the service very attentive. The sun was also out so an added bonus for sitting outside!

Outstanding each And every time and very much worthy the drive from London. The food is superb. The service is great. Not a fault! They now have a GF menu. The fish and chips was delicious. Thin and crispy batter fried in a clean/fresh oil served with triple fried thick chips, mushy peas and a tartare sauce. The burger is cooked to perfection and comes with french fries and cole slaw. Personally, I don’t think you should charge for extra gravy (and the fact this is a “menu item” means it must often happen) but that is just a small bit of feedback on what was overall an excellent lunch Highly recommend

I'm thrilled to have received a recommendation for this fantastic Pub/Restaurant, which exceeded my expectations. The Sunday lunch was the best I've had in a long time! The place was spotless, the staff were friendly, and the service was outstanding. I look forward to returning to explore the rest of the menu.

We had been to The Queens Head several years ago and had such a lovely experience, so we were excited to return. Let me first say that the food was absolutely amazing and the service was spot on. But, we had to convince ourselves we were in the right pub. All of the atmosphere we had experienced that first time was gone. I understand that pubs sometimes feel the need to modernize or update their décor. But, I don't think it has worked in this case. We felt like we were in a cafeteria. There was no charm, no ambience, no nothing. It felt stark and cold. It's a true shame because the food and service really are fantastic.

No roast on a Sunday!! We booked a table for 3 on Sunday at 3:30 having been recommended as a really great restaurant and when we sat down we were told there were no roast dinners left !! Now I get that restaurants sometimes run out of mains however if we had been asked to order when we booked the table we would have been more than happy to do so !! We then scrambled around trying to find a roast dinner at 4pm on a Sunday. We paid for a taxi to and from this restaurant and felt it could have easily been avoided with a communication when booking. Will not return

What a smashing lunch! The Specials Pork had crackling like candy and a super morish gravy. We added the option Yorkshire pudding, you should definitely do the same. The staff are lovely and very professional. An excellent pub that has an old world feel with food that's classic traditional. Dog friendly.

First visit for dinner. Nice menu with specials too, food was really nice... both fish dishes for mains. Portions are generous. Prices for some items a little high but plenty of choice. It's a lovely old village pub on the outside. Inside is quite different, very functional and modern perhaps lacking ambience.
