Poppins Restaurant Camberley in Surrey Heath

Covid safe seating, friendly staff, great portion sizes and menu choice. My 5yr old son loved being out together and loved the kids menu. We will return again when we are able to.

Fantastic food and very happy children. I went with my friend and our 6 children. There were plenty of tables and it was very clean. Quick service by staff wearing visors so felt safe. We all enjoyed our meals and will definitely return.

Nice food, but why do they present the food so awkwardly? After receiving the food we essentially had to build it back together again. Not sure if it’s trying to be a fancy cafe or it’s to do with being covid secure, however it was pretty ridiculous. Thankfully the food was very good once we built our meals back together again.

I visited here with the wife. Good service, helpful staff, and varied menu. Reasonable prices, and many variants on a cooked breakfast.

Dropped in here for dinner with my 3 year old twins.Initially bit concerned that we were the only customers. Needless to say, service was quick and food cooked to order. No problems with the food, and my 2 cleared their plates which is a good sign.My only observation would be that needing 2 high chairs usually involves moving a couple of chairs so that they get their own space to eat. I noticed all the chairs at conventional tables are secured to the floor which meant they had to sit at the narrowest end of the table and were a bit cramped.

Our first breakfast here, after two other visits. This place does good food quickly and at a very good price. I had the inclusive breakfast for £7 with egg, bacon, sausage, hash browns, tomatoes and beans, toast, plus a coffee. Very filling. My wife had a smaller breakfast for £5..... Very clean and modern loos too! Might become a regular treat. Well done guys.

We popped in for a breakfast while our journey towards Dorset. And so glad we did. The choices for English breakfast were plenty, overall quite comprehensive menu with sensible prices and fast service. I enjoyed my vegetarian spread with eggs, mushrooms and hash-brown cooked very well.PS : If you are in a hurry like us, the off-street parking is free for 30 mins. We could order and finish our breakfast withing that time. If not pressed for time, I would come back again for a leisure meal.

We went here instead of going to a coffee shop it was a good choice we both had one of the breakfast sandwiches mine being sausage & egg my wife had the bacon & egg all good service was good we will definitely be going back

Pumping like a goodun. Food tasted ok, but I was pumping like a goodun for two days after eating here, not sure what oil they used to cook their breakfast in!!!! Eaten here before no problem, this time big problem.Sad to say put me off going back.

We popped in here for lunch on a Saturday. It was full but they managed to find us a table for 2. The waiter took our order, both of us had the all day breakfast and cups of tea. The food arrived very quickly, well cooked and not greasy at all. It was all very tasty and good value for money.The waiters were friendly and helpful.Would definitely go again if we are in the area.

The food is always hot and tasty and the staff are friendly and funny, Very easy to become a regular, love it !

My fiance and I were out shopping this morning and upon one of our jaunts around Camberly. Came across Poppins and decided we would give it a try. Upon entering we were pleasantly surprised at how clean and tidy everything was. Very quickly a very smartly presented member of the team, came over and took our order. We both ordered the mega breakfast, which included 1 sausage, 2 slices of bacon, mushrooms, fried egg, 2 hash browns and beans. Also accompanied by a round of toast and a choice of tea or coffee.. I asked if I could replace my hash Browns with an additional sausage and they couldn't have been more helpful. Very efficient service and within a few minutes we had our tea and toast, which were both piping hot. Followed shortly after by the breakfasts. All freshly cooked to order and piping hot too, on crisp white plates. My fiance is fussy as am I but nothing at all but praise can be said about this food. Sausages were exactly what I like. Plump and juicy, without any gristle in sight. Good sized rashes of bacon and flavour was there and they weren't thin like some, a good quality. The mushrooms were flavoursome and my fiance said her hash browns were perfect for her. The eggs were perfectly cooked and no sign of excessive grease like you can have, with fried good. Just good wholesome and quality food! We will be going back on our next visit to Camberly and will try other meals as we are extremely confident we will enjoy as much as we have the breakfast we had this morning. Thank you to the Poppins for giving us such a lovely first time experience in their restaurant and for making our first time, one to remember. 5 star award from both myself and my fiance and highly recommend you try them. Perfect for us!

Popped in here for a Breakfast whilst shopping. We were both pleasantly surprised:- Very comprehensive Menu with sensible prices. Spotlessly Clean. Excellent Service. Great Breakfast, with very generous potions. Definitely a place that we will be frequenting more often.

Lovely place. Very clean, good service, nice food, affordable. I saw the restaurant many times but after seeing an advert on Facebook thought I should give it a try. So I took my family for lunch. I will come back for sure

Visited Poppins several times, not because its great, simply because its convenient. One issue I do have, lack of flexibility on menu. I requested a breakfast item not be included, i.e. no sausage. To be then told, it would cost 50p to not have that item. So I have to pay not to have something!! Really shocked!! I think that perhaps a small dose of common sense would be helpful

Fantastic, quick service and food here is spot on - every single time. Lunchtime English breakfast for me with great coffee, pizzas with chips and sausage, beans and chips for my 2 little ones. Bill came to less than £15. We sometimes have jacket potatoes here too, also awesome.

My family and I regularly visit this restaurant. The food is consistently yummy and actually the presentation is better than the pictures on the menu. Love the staff, so friendly and helpful.

I just love Poppins.Great name and great food.Suitable for all ages.You can have fish and chips,burgers,jacket potatoes,breakfasts,beans on toast,sandwiches and tea cakes etc.The list goes on.Well done boys.

Often pop in for breakfast with friends. Table service and friendly waiters. Toilets are really clean and food is good.

A nice cafe, nothing special though. Average food, the usual cafe food offerings, standard economy ingredients cooked fairly well. On the plus side it was clean and the staff were friendly enough. My Coeliac wife got a Gluten Free meal here.

Place to bring children for lunch. Friendly and service minded. Cafe menu but well cooked. Reasonably priced. Possibly best cafe food in Camberley town centre.

Eaten here several times on a weekend morning. It’s basically an upmarket cafe. So its the cafe menu but with table service and fresh coffee. Plus some extras on the menu like salads and pancakes and deserts.

What can I say, nice food, good service and not at all greasy. Been a few times now and never any issues.

Always a favourite midday lunch stop when out shopping with the grandchildren. Friendly and prompt service, good kids menu, simple but well prepared basic menu.

It's like stepping back 20 years to pull over on the motorway at The Little Chef! Such a friendly team, so on the ball and very helpful. The food is plentiful and generous; really filling! Always pop in for good food.

The best, by a country mile, of places we've recently tried for breakfast around Camberley/Frimley. Pretty busy, which tells you something, but the the service was spot-on. They actually know how to fry eggs without them being neither crucified nor snotty, which was very much appreciated !!

We used to take our daughters to another Poppins and they loved it...they are now in their 30s.

Poppins continues to provide good value and wholesome meals at a reasonable price. Located in the High Street so handy for the shops and to provide a much needed lunch break or get there early have a full English. I have been a lot of times and so thought an update was worth it. Nothing much changes but that's why I like it .

This Restaurant is very good serving the usual array of typical food found in a cafe. The staff are away friendly and pleasant. I have mainly visited for breakfast on a weekend and have never been disapppinted. Very clean and welcoming.

Visitamos hoy aquí para el almuerzo y encontramos un bonito restaurante cafetería con un menú limpio lleno de algunos artículos tanto para niños como para adultos. Pedí uno de los desayunos, los niños tenían nuggets de pollo y salchichas y patatas fritas y mi pareja tuvo el scampi. El personal era amable y muy eficiente. Todo parecía limpio y la comida era buena. Precios razonables. Yo ahora prefiero este café en el Jenny's a unas puertas y sin duda, volveremos. Mis únicas quejas diminutas eran que el ketchup es el barato, tipo hamburguesa van y que el sistema de sonido parecía ser en su mayoría estáticos. Aparte de eso, no me puedo quejar y escribo esta Mary Poppins tiene hambre de nuevo me hizo.

Sólo necesitaba un pequeño desayuno y estaba contento de ver que había una gran variedad de tamaños disponibles. La comida parece sencillo, pero como un poco de chef certificado que el 70 tienes un poco de cuidado para mantener la comida limpia y bien presentada. Un lugar bien acogedor.

Visitamos por desayuno inglés completo y fue excelente! Probado excelente, bien cocinada, fresco y venía con bebida gratis de nuestra elección. Personal muy amable que me atendió casi inmediatamente, aunque el lugar estaba muy lleno. Comida llegó a tiempo y pipping caliente! Soy muy difícil de complacer así que cuando un lugar esta alta tasa de creer me ha ganado.

We wanted something light and quick before the cinema on a Sunday and didn't want to go into one of the big chain restaurants. This cafe fitted the bill. Two baguettes plus chips that hit the spot. Speedy service and reasonably priced. Very reminiscent of the old style coffee bars of the 60s - with plastic seats!

I visited Poppins for lunch with friends and I was pleasently surprised. The staff are friendly and helpful. The cafe is lovely and clean. Our order was taken quickly and the food is cooked to order so it is hot and fresh, they will even change the order to your liking. Would recommend this place.

I go to Poppins weekly for breakfast on a Sunday after church. The service is always friendly, attentive and speedy. The breakfast is not going to win any awards for gourmands but for the very reasonably price I wouldn't expect that. It is always hot, tasty and plentiful, and there is a wide variety of sizes so all appetites are catered for. There is a good range of hot and cold drinks, again at a good price.The cafe is light, not overly hot or cold and the toilets are clean. There are always lots of seats available and both tables and easy chairs to suit different tastes. For the price and service this is the best place for breakfast or coffee in Camberley. It's not top of the range, but it doesn't pretend to be and that is the secret to its success.

Popped in here for a quick cuppa during a visit to Camberley. Place was very friendly and tea was excellent. Pity we did not have time for a full breakfast but will certainly give that a go when we are back in the town. Staff were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. To be recommended and we will be back soon.

We found this place for breakfast and weren't let down, good menu, good food, attentive staff come to your table. Everything is spotless and nice little touches like the tea cup having their logo on. Will definitely come back, good value too. People of all different ages smiling and enjoying their food, very well done Poppins, thank you.

After being forgotten aboutwhen 4 people served after us had nearly eaten and left, our food arrived, everything was cold. Can safely say I won't be coming back.

It was tipping down outside so popped in to Poppins.Good name! I think they were Italian. I had a jacket potato with grated cheese and a side salad as I am on a diet.The menu was massive with loads of choices.Great for Adults and children.There were a real mix of people in there.The food came out really quickly.I will definately go back.All the staff seemed happy and kept smiling.Nothing was too much trouble.

We took our daughter for a back to school treat at the begining of the month. We all had chocolate milkshakes and they would rival american shakes but are much better value and much healthier sizes too! The staff are amazingly helpful.... a great place to visit when on a budget!

Visited Poppins today for the first time and was really impressed. It took me back to my childhood, it had that traditional holiday cafe feel about it, from the menu layout and comfy decor and seating.The Resturant was very clean and the service excellent. I enjoyed the inclusive breakfast , my daughter had a chicken burger and her friend had a jacket potato with tuna. All our meals were hot, tasty and large portions. Just how I like it. The latte was really hot and good too. I would definitely be going back to try other things from the menu. A great place

My wife and I take our 3 year old here for lunch now and again. They do a great half jacket potato for kids. The food is always piping hot and freshly cooked. The staff are really helpful and friendly. There toilet facilities are always spotless as is the whole restaurant. Overall it is a nice family friendly restaurant that I would recommend to all.

I visited here due to the reviews. My partner had a dad Spanish omelette which was really bland and they'd been made in an omelette maker. The cheese one was tastier. Chips, jacket and salad were nice.

Went here for a spot of brunch, we had the inclusive breakfast where you get a traditional style full English breakfast with either coffee or tea for £6.40. The venue is well presented and clean, background music not too loud so you can still sit and chat over your breakfast, prices are very affordable, service is excellent and the food is good simple cafe food.

I visited for breakfast on a Saturday morning with friends as we wanted a nice breakfast.I have previously visited a few different Poppins and they all seem to be exactly the same. I wouldn't recommend visiting for a nice meal or date, but if you are looking for a greasy café for breakfast or brunch then this is perfect!It took 10 minutes or so to be seated but they had a waiting area, so this wasn't a problem.All meals were reasonably priced with a full breakfast being under £10.00 each.I wasn't amazed by the food or service, as you have to go and order from the till yourself but I wasn't expecting a Michelin restaurant as it is exactly what it says on the tin, it's a café. If I'm honest, I would rather go somewhere else to have breakfast but if this is requested then I don't mind and will go.

This lovely little restaurant is easy to locate, halfway along the high street. Think Wimpy Bar but a bit more comfortable. The food is simple and you will know what you are getting. All day breakfasts, fish and chips, pie and chips. Classic desserts. A family favourite.

I have been visiting Poppins for well over a year and go at least once a week when I am home. The staff are great and the prices are very reasonable. I tend not to go back to places I don't enjoy so that should say it all.

Always use Poppins for coffee or lunch when in Camberley. They are friendly, and always serve you with a smile, the food is always freshly cooked and hot. Have never been disappointed. Reasonably priced too.

Their breakfasts are always good and reasonably priced. It does get very busy in the mornings, but is quieter later in. They also now have a nice sitting area for smokers so they can enjoy their breakfast as well.Lunch menus are good and again reasinably priced.

£6.80 for large fry up, toast and a hot drink.The breakfast was lovely but filling. I couldn't eat all of it.The restaurant was very clean.

It's delivers what is says.good basic food served well and reasonably priced. The all day breakfast certainly fills a gap and when you need a light snack it can conjure that up too

It's ok, it really is! Cup of tea, sandwiches, chips chips and more chips. Super basic pick from the photos, nothing special going on here, but if you want the best of 1970s British cafe cuisine then go ahead and pop in.

We love this place so much we have brunch here nearly every Saturday. We are always greeted at the door & seated & served promptly. It is always busy but we have rarely had to wait long for a table. Service is very good and the food is simple, old school and fabulous - all day breakfasts, burgers, omelettes and chips etc. Highly recommend, if great service & good honest food is what you're after. Oh, and the staff always say goodbye - a small point but it makes a huge difference. Well done Poppins Camberley.

Being let down at The Premier Inn for breakfast, PT :-) and I were off in search of somewhere other than JDW that we could enjoy a hearty gorge to start the day.Walking through the shopping centre asking random passers-by for their advice we were directed to Poppins.What a brilliant selection to choose from... lovely to see the food being prepared behind the counter, it adds an extra dimension of authenticity to the whole experience which, coupled with very friendly staff, made for a great start to the day.SW :-)

Never had a bad visit. Food is excellent, very good portion sizes. Service is attentive and genuine. Quite old school, in some ways, which you don't see much, these days.Highly recommended.

OMG - My son and I were looking for a place to have a quick lunch and tripped on to this wonderful establishment. If ever you are looking for a highly efficient level of service combined with whole hearty food (we had the Mega All Day Breakfast which I couldn't finish! - but was lovely) then go no further . . . . a lovely place for lunch!

Have now eaten here a total of three times while visiting this area. Tables are very clean, all the staff are smiling and friendly and the food is cooked to perfection.Keep up the good work.

Want a great English breakfast? Want a knickerbocker glory?. Then come here. A spick and span restaurant, set out in the style of a 90s fast food joint, but clean and crisply finished. The menu looks clean but slightly dated, but the food quality, service and ambience are lovely.A party of 6 of us visited late Saturday morning, and I chose the Mega Breakfast, and for £6.80 including a drink it was a great meal - I didn't finish it!You are not going to find new and exciting cuisine, but if you want quick British classics such as burgers, lasagne etc - This is a good place to 'pop in' to.
