The best restaurants in North West

We come out with friends every month for a few drinks, always meet here, lovely place with great staff. Personally, they have a dj playing but I don't think the place is big enough to warrant a dj, we go in for a chat and a few drinks but because of the music we can't hear what is being said. As I've said, that's a personal opinion, it is a great bar.

This place really is a hidden gem in Wigan Town Centre, good atmosphere, great selection of platters, nice wine and attentive hosts. I have visited several times and can highly recommend it.

Brilliant place. Staff very professional and friendly and efficient. Food was first class. Wonderful surroundings.

Called in for a drink after a hike on the Gritstone Trail. Lovely country pub with excellent choice of hand pumped beers. Barman was very proficient. Served two people at a time while pulling perfect pints. Not many bar staff with this skill these days. Comfortable pub with a real fire and fresh decor. Excellent!

Whenever I stay in Liverpool I drop by here. Great veggie breakfast, good coffee, excellent customer service, nice decor, friendly vibes.

Portions on the set menu were small so would try the a la carte menu next time. Friendly service.

Called in for breakfast whilst working in the area. Found the place on google, great location and a large car park to the rear, so ideal. Now, about the important part…. The service is excellent and everyone is friendly, the food is very high quality I had a decent full English and loved it. Thick bacon, quality sausages and nice white toast. Less than £7 for a breakfast and a brew! I’ll be back next time im in the area.

Hidden little gem........and oj the night we visited there was a great band, The Monkeymen.....can't wait to see them again......

After reading the reviews, we tried this takeaway and we were not disappointed. We ordered special omelette, sweet and sour chicken Cantonese style, egg fried rice, chicken fried rice and prawn crackers all for £22.90. Our family including our picky 8 yr old and 4 yr old loved it. We also found our Chinese take away and will also try their fish and chips too. Takeaway boxes are not plastic which is a bonus!

29/01/24: one year on, and sadly a temporary closure notice has been announced! Fingers crossed it'll open again. 18/01/23: update.....so glad it's open now! We love Seven Bro7hers and coming to Liverpool here was a must. Great choice of ales (and others, but we won't speak of those) We had the Sling It Stout (cocopops) and Honeycomb pale. Friendly traditional chippy all you can asleep for.

This really is a gem of a place. It's traditional and a lovely atmosphere, and the staff are fantastic. The food is amazing served fresh , hot and totally delicious. The price is exceptional. You can't beat it
