Smashing place in cheadle. Friendly welcome and great service. Food was spot on.The chef is ex-dishoom and it shows, good recomendation for the food .Thank u for the lovely evening will definitely be back.Hight recommended.

We had chicken biryani for 20 catered, and it was simply phenomenal. The dish was rich with authentic flavors, and everyone raved about how delicious it was. Great value for the portions, and everything arrived piping hot and ready to serve. Definitely a go-to for our future gatherings!

Had a lovely meal here with friends on Monday. Food was delicious and great value for money. Can't wait to come back 😁

Genuinely cannot understand all of these good reviews, a lot of them are so obviously fake as after I done my review, five star reviews referencing the groupon suddenly appear. Couldn’t be further from our experience, went on a groupon and just handed a very confusing menu, nothing was explained to us until we asked. After being there for 10 minutes we had to ask to order drinks, 25 minutes later still no drinks. Clearing away tables instead which didn’t need doing, there’s being short staffed and then there’s just doing things that can wait until you’ve sorted out customers drinks. So we ask again and get served warm beer. Asked to swap it for a wine which again we had to ask for after it hadn’t come after 20 minutes, to get served about 2 sips worth of wine. When taking away our starter plates, asked if we wanted to keep the same cutlery or get new cutlery, we didn’t really answer as were surprised at the question, to which she took the dirty cutlery off the plates and gave them back to us to reuse. Left most of the chicken curry as some of it definitely didn’t look cooked but at this point we just wanted to hurry up and leave. Table next to us saying the same things. Brought the tarka daal out 20 minutes after finished mains. Just bad from the start, shockingly bad service. Some of the food quite nice but nothing great. Will not be returning, all the tables around us were complaining too.

I have visited vedaa for the first time , Groupon vouchers which is very satisfied and worth it , chilli chicken was amazing and chicken Ruby for very tasty, we will definitely come again🥂

Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous! I went last weekend with a friend and enjoyed it so much I returned today with my family. Range of dishes and flavours was incredible. High quality ingredients and friendly service. All tables were booked which is a great sign. This place is a little gem and we will be back. (Only criticism would be the quality of the sound system!!!) Thanks for a superb meal at a amazing price.

Utterly stunning food at noticeably reasonable prices! Lively, friendly staff and even the Owner / Head Chef said ‘Hello’. The dishes were enticing and unusual, a little different to ordinary high street Indian food, exquisite flavours, great recommendations from staff. Found a little gem. Visited on the spur of the moment as we were passing through from Stockport. Rang 15 minutes before and got a table for 2. The menu is different to some other curry restaurants where there are lots of the older traditional dishes, this is more carefully selected dishes which sound a little different. We made our choices and both tried to branch out a bit in what we chose. We needn’t have worried, the food is delicious and the quality excellent. From the chutneys served with the popadoms to the delicious saag lamb and pilau rice main course everything was devoured down to the last crumbs. The roti was tasty and not greasy too and also appeared to be wholemeal which is a bonus and not what I’ve seen before. On top of this the staff are very friendly and polite and the speed of the food service is remarkable. We were served our main courses in about 25 minutes after walking through the door.

The food was nice , my daughter and I really enjoyed ourselves. We ordered: Popadoms and sauces Starters - Chilli Chicken & Lamb Samosa. Very delicious, the chicken was perfection !! Mains - Butter Chicken and Lamb Karahi with rice. Quite small rice portions but overall tasted good. Atmosphere - Very chilled and relaxed, we visited on a Thursday evening.

We had a fantastic meal tonight at Vedaa! The chilli chicken starter and onion bhajis were delicious!! Chicken chettinad curry was delicious with the perfect level of spice and the chicken karahi was amazing too!! And how can I forget the Bombay potatoes!!! Our waiter was polite, welcoming and took our order without writing anything down and everything was correct!! The menu is extremely fairly priced and cheap for the high quality of food! I cannot recommend Vedaa enough! We had cobra and the house red wine which was very smooth and accompanied the meal perfectly!! 10/10 for Vedaa!!

What a beautiful place to eat was so tasty and full of flavours. Gentleman tonight (7th Aug )was just a joy to have to serve us. He was so polite and welcoming. We have booked again for in a few weeks. It's a must try.

New restaurant. Food good and service really good

The food is tasty and probably much better if you don't go on a Groupon deal . Very small portions we chose four different Currys but when they came out it was all the same curry ...no difference . Half of the things we wanted weren't on the menu ..no lamb ..no pilau rice we got a tiny basket of poppadoms for four people one poppadom each and had to ask for more . The service was very confusing ...lovely ladies serving but there was a problem with communication .. they would ask a question like are you ready to order ..we would say yes then they would walk away and serve someone else . It was strange. We were still hungry when we left it was like small taster portions . But the food was nice and it was tasty . The three curries we ordered had four pieces of chicken in ... Some of the pieces seemed to have been on a skewer and some not .. so it felt like they had used some left overs and thrown them in the curry .. the mango chutney was a quarter full hardly any in it so again it seems like we were given something that someone else had had on another table and didn't finish so we were given it . I wouldn't eat here again and it's a shame because the taste of the food was lovely .

Ordered from here tonight for the first time having read the great reviews, a treat anniversary meal. How very disappointing, food was bland, one dish described as hot was anything but. Disappointing portions of meat in the dishes and my husband described the peshwari naan as inedible. Rarely leave reviews but felt compelled to this time!

Oh my goodness. Top top freshness and quality. Chicken was marinated to perfection and extremely tender. Everything about this place is fresh and original. Nothing is mass produced. Excellent quality!!!!!!!!!! Amazing +++++++++++ I go out for Curry once a week. This is the best curry I've had in England in about 2 years. Unbelievable. Can't wait to go again.

Absolutely superb, vibrant flavours and really great service. We will definitely be back! Informative staff helped us through the menu which had lots of choice, even the Naan bread was amazing.

Had a great meal with our family of four at Vedaa cheadle. Our two boys of 2 and 6 loved the kids chicken curry platter. It was our first time going out for an Indian meal together and Vedaa was perfect for younger kids. Adult dishes were great also with street food and curries which were fantastic value for money. Will definitely be going back!

First time visiting this delight of a restaurant! Walking up to the restaurant, the front looks inviting and is well presented. You enter into a decent sized space, with lots of Indian design and features. Greeted with a warm welcome we were taken to our seats to soak up the atmosphere. At this point, my taste buds were already tingling from the aroma of the food being prepared in the kitchen. The service was brilliant, warm & friendly with good conversation. We had poppadoms for starters, followed mains, sides, and rice/naan. All the food was of top quality and was fresh and very tasty, in fact probably the best curry I've had in a long time! All at a reasonable price point, so good on the wallet. If you get a chance to sample the delights at this restaurant, I am sure you won't be disappointed. I for one, will definitely be coming back.

Nice little place, has a feeling to it more like out of town rather than high street. All tables except 1 were taken on a mid-week evening which speaks volumes. Food was amazing. Free parking after 6 around corner on church street

I give 5 star for the food but the service is terrible. The server lack confidence he had a long hair and beard which looked unclean and not smart.

Great value for money visit using a Groupon voucher - £40 for four people for poppadoms, starter, main, side, rice or bread with a beer. Food was good but the service let the chef down. Staff were friendly however seemed to lack confidence, never explained the deal - things easily rectifiable with some training. Cocktails unavailable despite being on the menu - not an issue and I assume a minor teething issue when being a relatively new venue. Groupon deal a bargain and I assume to bring in new customers as can't imagine this value being viable for the business, definitely would visit again and try some other dishes off the menu - bombay aloo, bindi, samosa chat were lovely

Surprised with this treat. Desi food galore. The curry night is immense! The smells from kitchen were phenomenal. Hot or mild, thick or thin ... Everything was incredible. It's always a good sign when the place ... And this place is enormous... Is rammed full of people who know their food. I had no expectations, but even if I had, I would have been very satisfied.

We have been to Vedaa many times before. Yesterday they did catering for our family event. Food was delicious and all our guests really loved it and enjoyed the food.

Our experience at Veda Indian Restaurant in Cheadle was marked by exceptional food! The food was truly exceptional, delivering an authentic taste of India that left us impressed. The staff were attentive and ensured we had a memorable dining experience. Their momos and other Indian snacks were particularly outstanding. If you're craving exceptional Indian cuisine, Veda is the perfect choice. We left feeling satisfied and eager to return for more culinary delights.

Really pains me to write this but I have to be honest. I visited 3 weeks ago and ate in the restaurant & the food and staff we superb, so much so that I decided we'd do a 10 mile round trip to get a take away. We discussed what was suitable and ordered one lamb main course, one chicken main course, a garlic naan each and some popadoms. When we got the food home, it was apparent that there was no lamb dish in the bag. I rang & was told it was OK as we hadn't been charged for it, which wasn't really the point. When I queried whether the 20% discount for collections had been applied, I was told I didn't ask for it!!! I was then offered 40% off the next food I ordered but that is just the retrospective 20% that should have been applied plus the normal 20% for collections anyway. The missing lamb dish is a mistake which was frustrating, but is a straightforward mistake. Not applying the advertised discount is not. This was a real shame because I really liked the staff and wanted to support their business but this has left a nasty taste (pun intended). There are many good Indian restaurants that are closer to where I live and don't think I will be visiting again.

This little restaurant in Cheadle is amazing. The staff are so friendly and accommodating even chef came to speak to us. Food was delicious lots of different flavours and different to your average Indian restaurant. Would highly recommend to anyone and also reasonable costs. Will be visiting again soon.

Omg. I think I'm in heaven. I've never enjoyed food as much as I have at this place. Chef Radhey I think puts a lot of love in his food preparation and you can feel it at first bite. The Dal bukhara is to die for and the samosa are on a different level. Service standards are really high for a tiny little restaurant. I wanna come back here again. Thank you Sameer for your service and thank you Chef Radhey for your food. Thank you thank you. I'm going back to my class tomorrow to tell everyone about this place.

I’ve been here a couple of times previously very nice food and great service. Hi visited around a week ago the service was really poor forgetting drinks, no utensils for mains, ran out of draught beer, forgot my main course and the portions weren’t very big in general. Don’t get me wrong the food is really good, a great atmosphere and the head chef is a lovely bloke, but a few things let the experience down on the last visit. The service need’s improving along with the portion sizes, as it’s better in other similar local restaurants.

Amazing food, every dish we had was delicious and every curry was so different. We are spoiled for choice when it comes to curries in Cheadle but vedaa is right up there. If you haven’t been then go soon!

After hearing about this place through a recommendation from a friend, who also said they had a Mitchellin starred chef I thought I'd have to try it out. It didn't disappoint. We went on the Tuesday night as there was a 4 course set meal deal and we ordered 1 of each (veg and meat) to try it all and loved all of it. It was a nice restaurant and the staff were very attentive I definitely recommend it here

The place was quiet. It was a Wednesday eve. But we made our own atmosphere and chatted to the owner and the chef. Highly recommend. .

The food is fabulous here with dishes not usually found in Indian restaurants. The two main chefs are masters of their craft and have a good pedigree. Well recommended.

The food is absolutely amazing here. Very authentic and delicious, can't fault it at all. But what makes this place great is the staff are particularly lovely! Would recommend to all.

This is a really excellent curry house, we have been a few times now & visited with family. The food very consistent & delicious. For me it is the care taken & the interest of the chef ensuring the prepared food has been enjoyed. Beer is limited to bottles cobra etc & wine choice quite limited. I highly recommend a visit you will not be disappointed with the food I'm sure.

Incredible food and perfect staff! Vedaa has been founded by the first employee at Dishoom who has also worked at the Michelin restaurants in London. The standard of food is clearly at the same level but with more creativity. Everything we tried was full of flavour and love for food. We started with the Chaat and Onion Bhaji which we expected to be like any other Indian but they were served beautifully with delicious sauces. For the mains we got the Ruby Chicken and Chicken Chettinad with Pashwari Naan as well as Butter Garlic. It was all 10/10 and one of the nicest Indians we have ever had!

My new favourite Indian Restaurant. The food is by a mile the best Indian food I've had. I kind of want to keep this beaut of a place a secret but, I want Vedaa to succeed too. The Aloo Tikka Chat was the best starter I've ever had. The chicken chettinad, the lamb biriyani and peshwari naan were amazing.

Best Indian I've had in years (without paying anywhere near top prices). Looks bang average decor wise but the food is anything but! 10/10.

Only went for a takeaway food was nice and spicy although they missed my sauces they delivered it to me to shortly after! Really lovely personnel and would recommend! Because they initially missed my sauces they delivered an additional main course to me so service was amazing!

This is mine and my partner’s go to Indian take out. We’ve ordered numerous times now and are never disappointed. The food is so tasty. We’ve sat in once and as it was quiet it was slightly lacking in atmosphere. But they were very attentive and welcoming. Due to the dark decor and low lighting I’d say it can be difficult to know sometimes if it’s open or not, which may be the reason it doesn’t get the attention it so deserves. Please don’t let it put you off from trying! I highly recommend this restaurant

Only a small place but absolutely tremendous food. The food reviews you read are all correct. Two chefs on making different meals from your average curry house. Beautifully presented and worth a short wait for the food. Thankyou for a lovely meal. All four of us said it was the best Indian food we could remember eating. Don't bother if you want a madras or vindaloo the food is a class above the norm. Highly recommended.

My first visit to Vedaa and I have to say the food was delicious!! There was 12 of us and I can honestly say that everyone really enjoyed their meal. My only criticism was the service good have been a little better, I appreciate that we were a large group and it took a while to take our orders and receive our meals but other than that I will definitely be returning as I thoroughly enjoyed the food and I highly recommend this place! This is a really special spot, the flavours of each dish is bold and unique. Certainly another level as compared to a typical Indian restaurant. The staff are lovely too, very attentive and friendly. Prices are very reasonable (at least compared to the south east!)

This is potentially the best Indian restaurant in Manchester, but not yet. All their starters are excellent. Their lamb chops among the best I have ever tried. Their spinach, without doubt the best known to me.Where they can improve is in their lentils, and the lamb served in the main dishes which was mostly hard. The quality of the ingredients was very good.

Found this place by accident, what a treat! Indian food but modern and different. Lovely and attentive staff. Dog friendly too.

Never leave reviews however, We went on a Wednesday night. Wasnt too sure at first, the service was amazing and so attentive. The food is cooked to your liking. So fresh and authentic! I can’t recommend this place enough! You must try it.
