Bevi in Stockport

Best bar in marple. The staff and owners are actually interested in you and your time there. They serve excellent food and the drink prices and offers are generous. Live music twice a week - there’s no negatives to this place.

Sat on a pedestrianised street in Marple opposite the Bulls Head. Flic was happy to find two "rare" out of area beers. A 4% Golden Ale from Oswestry brewery Stonehouse. I tend to love Shropshire beers. Also an IPA beer from Bristol Brewery Butcombe ( I thought they were Devon?). Converted shop premises with small front outside seating area. Steep and narrow stairs lead to the toilets and an upstair games room. Having once moved a pool table out of a cellar I understand the effort and risk involved.

Quirky pub , good music, attentive staff, serves Guinness (not all pubs/bars in marple do) good coffee.

Great bar ,Adam and Lisa are the best for customer service ,other bars should learn from this young couple how to run a bar ,they make it their duty to know their customers 👏

Bevi is Love <3 Fresh ales, monthly changing cocktails, pizza and other snacks on the weekend.

New to me, very surprised how good it was.

2nd visit. This time with great live 🎵 Good atmosphere and reasonable 🍻 prices. Only downside was the unpleasant toilet smell as you enter. It wasn't the toilets so could be from the drains? Still does not put us off returning to this great little venue when we are next in Marple.

Ode to Joy was good on the JUKE Box. I put it on twice. The people loved it.

Called in after being at the pictures. Brilliant place. Friendly staff. Very attractive and comfortable. Several excellent cask ales and pleased to see a porter on. Live music which was good as well.

Called in for a drink after a trip to the pictures and really glad that we did. They have a great choice of beers and lager available, as well as a good selection of spirits too. The staff were lovely, the atmosphere was great and they had an acoustic singer on who was pretty good. Definitely recommend a visit-we'll be returning soon!

Brilliant place to go. Live music every weekend. Great drinks list. Cracking games room. Lovely staff. I lost my jacket in there and the staff wouldn't settle till it was found. And sure enough.... they found it. Love the jukebox in the games room. And the retro 'sit down' 2 player games machine with packman etc. I've never had a bad night in there. Would definitely recommend. My favourite watering hole in Marple

No tracksuits and and no manbags is exactly what we need. Getting rid of the wronguns is an absolute necessity!

Had the best night here for my birthday last Saturday night (26th). Bevi went above and beyond by reserving a section for a large group from 8pm on a busy Saturday evening. This was the first time visiting Bevi after a reccomendation from a friend and will most definitely be returning again soon. The drinks were fab, a couple of people in our group had a pizza and a garlic bread and they said the food was amazing. The cocktails are 5* they had the most amazing artist/singer/musician on, Ellen Lych. She was FAB! See you again soon Bevi xxxx

Lost its way massively. When it first opened it was welcoming and had potential now it's sits as a reminder of what not to do and how not to run a bar.

Its a cool chilled out bar with a decent selection of beers on tap. The price is decent and the staff were friendly. They even have a loyalty card system where you get a free beer after so many. I'll definitely be back.

The Wine & Cheese night was great, 2 for 1 cocktails and free pool - definitely can't complain!

First visit, yesterday afternoon. Sampled plenty of the cocktails which were very reasonably priced. I managed to knock one over and we were taken aback when a replacement was brought over to the table. Laid back atmosphere, lovely staff, we will definitely be returning.

From when you enter it's a great place to be the owners and staff make you feel welcome, you will be sad to leave

Came before Christmas never been before, great atmosphere had a singer on in the evening. Christmasy inside and lovely staff. Cocktails were very tasty and great that could play pool upstairs

Bevi is the jewel in Marple's crown for us. Great atmosphere and decor, and a wonderful selection of beers, prosecco and cocktails. The staff are really pleasant. Meravigliosa.

Very lovely pub in the heart of Marple.

Sign on door stating NO MAN BAGS. Sexism at its finest. My wife and I thought we would call for a nice bottle of Prosecco as it was a pleasant sunny afternoon. I had a "man bag" that likely cost more than their monthly rent, but obviously my "type" aren't welcome.

Bevi is the best drinking establishment in Marple! It truly is our local. There's always something going on but never so busy that you can't get a table. It's clean, I even saw the foliage being dusted. The staff are genuinely all lovely and it's dog friendly. Cheese night is heavenly and I'm so glad they've started doing a quiz too. Literally couldn't fault it. Adam and Lisa are the best, not only great landlords but I see them as friends too ❤

Great cocktails with a very friendly welcome by all inside. Had the Easter cocktail on our recent visit.. Amazing. We were seen to extremely quickly and our coats taken. Lots of staff to help assist on the bar and great selection at great prices. Our "Go to" in Marple

Always something on a Friday and Saturday. Friendly staff. Pool table upstairs. Can order food from paulos pizza and get a discount on your next drink for doing so. Very welcoming place to drink. Great laugh

We love coming to bevi in Marple, there’s always something on from live music and cheese nights to free pool. The staff are really friendly and go above and beyond to make sure you feel welcome.

Moved to Marple last October, received an extremely warm welcome from everyone at Bevi and have been coming back ever since, great atmosphere, great beer, friendly staff and they often have live music on. Good dress code to keep out the riff-raff. 5 stars from me

Lovely bar, always a fun evening whenever I go! There’s always something on at the weekend, a fun evening in Marple! I have found the staff always to be really friendly and professional, they have a dress code which creates a nicer atmosphere and makes me feel safe. Highly recommend 😊

This is without a doubt my favourite bar. The staff are so friendly, the music is great (a band called Scribble Victory often play here and they are amazing!) and the atmosphere is always warm and relaxed - I’ve met some lovely people here. The cocktails are fabulous too!

Big fan of Bevi, they've an incredible team behind the bar and properly ridiculous rotation of live music on at the weekends. It's great to have that coupled with some nice cheeseboards, the occasional pizza and a load of tasty beers too. Wish it were a chain but there's only one!

I have been to Bevi numerous times over the last 12 months. It’s always a great atmosphere with friendly staff and live music every weekend (quality live music at that!). I’m usually apprehensive about pubs/bars as most places just let anyone in and let them behave however they want. Adam and the team understand that this puts a lot of people off and they try to cater to a wider audience. There’s a strict zero tolerance policy on tracksuits and man-bags which is well advertised at the door. This falls in line with most bars that I frequent around the area. The absence of Sky/BT Sports is also a plus for me. This is a clean bar for people who want to have a good time with their friends without the potential of any trouble. I wouldn’t recommend Bevi for those who like to sink as many pints as possible in the shortest amount of time, take drugs in the toilet or wear sportswear on a night out… and this suits me and the multiple regulars, just fine.

I love this bar, Adam and all the staff are so friendly and it's always got such a great atmosphere! One of my favourite places to perform as a musician as well. Can't fault it at all.

Let poorly dressed and people with work clothes in, but no expensive tracksuit bottoms apparently (even though only wearing as attending physio at lunch time - and they're also not tracksuit bottoms). One to avoid for us now sadly. Oldknows next door always a better choice and far less pretentious. Staff member who came out too was rude, patronising, had zero customer service skills and almost sneered. Yet as mentioned, shorts outside seems fine, work wear fine, chavvy jackets fine. But £60 tailored athlete pants, no go. Ridiculous

i like this pub. we used the pool room upstairs (a room with a pool table, not a jacuzzi or the like), and it was lovely. we managed to have several games in the blissful atmosphere of having very few other humans around. bizarre sign on the door stipulating ‘no man bags’? doesn’t say why. but hey. leave your speedos and man bags at home and go have a pint.
