The best restaurants in Wirral North West

We had a very warm welcome at this traditional pub, after a walk along the Wirral Way from Parkgate. It is very friendly and spotlessly clean. We highly recommend you visit and see for yourselves. We will be back. It has a well kept cellar with excellent beer.L … and if you wish, you can have your own choice of food delivered there, or take your own food and they will give you plates, cutlery etc. - What a great idea!

Love the food here but twice , in the last six months, my partner and I each found a hair in our meals. We were offered another meal on the second occasion but we’d rather not take the risk. Totally unacceptable. We should’ve been offered a refund and the staff need to be more cautious regarding food. Gutted because the food here tastes great but we prefer it without the hair. 😔

Just a basic chippy which sells the best fish and chips I have ever tasted. We live 50 miles away from this chippy. However we incorporate a nearby hike sometimes just so we can get fish and chips from here.

I helped friends organise their wedding at the The Saddle Club in Prenton. I cant recommend them enough! From start to finish they bent over backwards and made it easier and the event go smoothly. Isobel was on the end of the phone helping constantly and Sarah assistant manageress, the lady in the kitchen and the maintenance man (sorry I'm terrible i cant remember their names - hope i got Sarah right at least 🤣) were amazing! The dressed room was beautiful, the spread was out of this world and the couple and all the family and friends had an amazing time. Cant thank you all enough. We will be popping in for a drink soon to say thank you. Ps Lilli Moore the singer was amazing also ❤️ look her up on fb! Mandy and Roy. Dave and John xxx

Big mistake going to this chippy, food was expensive and substandard. Would not recommend, to top things off the owner was one of the most obnoxious people I have ever had the misfortune of speaking to. Don’t know how it’s got a 5 star cleanliness review either , stunk , my advise is to avoid, River Queen over the road is much better.

Called in to Georgio's before boarding the ferry to Ireland. Fish cooked beautifully to order, with delicious crispy chips. Highly recommended!

Visited the Claughton Village shop and tried to order a small meal. Was told it was under the minimum £10 for card acceptance and was directed to a cashpoint further up the road to which I said 'Ok' and proceeded to the Cashpoint. On my return I was asked what I wanted and said "I've already ordered. The order had not been cooked and when I said that if they started to cook it now and I would miss my bus and the food would be cold as I would have to walk home. , I was lectured about not making it clear if I was proceeding with the order or not . If the server was unclear about whether I was proceeding, would it not have been good customer service to say so and offer to put the fish in to cook if I wished to proceed? The problem was caused not by my communication, but the shops failure to accept my card in the first What then followed was really poor. The "wrong" bus then drove past the shop and he smirked "See you've missed the bus anyway". Er , no that was not the bus. Unlike some people , I don't choose to drive posh gas guzzling cars everywhere and I feel this should be respected rather than ridiculed. No matter how the good the fish and chips are , I will never return if the policy of this shop is "in the event of confusion, the customer is always wrong".

Came in after a walk first time ever. Lovely atmosphere vibrant and relaxed the bar tender was engaging and lovely. Will definitely be back again

Literally the best and tastiest pizza's on The Wirral. I literally drive all the way from Leasowe just to collect mine.

Went with my 4 year old grandaughters for afternoon tea. We had a lovely time. Food was spot on. The staff were lovely. Nothing too much trouble. Made my grandaughters day. Will definitely be returning soon

The food in this chippy is revolting. Square shaped meat in a special dish? I could only handle 1 mouthfull b4 the whole meal went into the bin. Grey coloured beef? Or is it even beef? Avoid if you value your stomach.
