Lovely little shop with a delicious takeaway of sweet & sour chicken and fried rice. Great value for money and the staff were so friendly and helpful. My first time here but not my last!

Order from here now and again. Great food. Easy to access and staff are fantastic. Would recommend going if you haven’t already.

Don't care what anyone says Hungrys is one of the best chippy's around!!!!!!!!! The variety on the menu is fantastic lots of things to choose from. All has Donna meat, which is lovely, and a burger station. This isn't just ya normal run of the mill chippy! Once you've been to hungry you will never go anywhere else. I promise

Very good food very reasonably priced also decent portion sizes

Bought chicken and chips this evening the chicken was dry and a bit chewy but edible the chips were also dry and not very nice will not go there again

Normally nice and one of the best around yet in the last 2 weeks I've been 4 times and the Chips have been awful, waste of money awful, straight in the bin awful. Just hard potato with no flavour...

Quality food, however, my daughter paid for our order with cash, she handed over a load of change as she wasn't sure how much it was and they didn't count it, they just put it in the till. She had given them 50p more than needed

The food is always brilliant, however whoever was on the phone at 6:54pm on 20/6/24 was nothing but rude and snappy! I politely asked how long my order was going to be and before I could even finish my sentence she cut me off saying “(big sigh) yeeeeee hang on a minute we’re busy” I proceeded to wait and then she came back on the phone to tell me”ring me back in a few minutes” I am completely understanding that it’s busy, it’s stressful and hot outside, but never in my life have I been spoken to like that for ringing and asking how much longer!! Don’t work in that sort of environment if you can’t handle it! Really disappointed as we have always ordered from here.

Lovely food for a good price for one. Got the vegetable chow mein and salt and pepper prawns. so good!!! The combo of the water chestnut is so bomb in the chow mein. customer service was lovely 🥰

We ordered a meal for three people to be delivered. It arrived in about 30 minutes. We had ordered Singapore noodles, Lemon chicken, chicken mushroom and a pie dinner. All the food was delicious and fresh. Definitely recommend this.

Used here quiet a few times and always enjoyed food but this was cold and sausages tasted weird chips burnt and cold delivered not on time

First visit to this establishment. Really clean, bright and friendly environment in the shop. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Looking forward to trying more dishes in the near future

It was quiet when I collected my food, staff looked busy with making orders for deliveries. I ordered crispy shredded beef for pick up. Quite possibly the best shredded chilli beef on the wirral. Chips were really good for chippy chips.

After trying to place an order just found out for Some some reason the chippy has reduced the distance that it delivers too. We have been a customer there for years. This must be impacting the income of the people who deliver the meals and not Hungry's. However I think they may have done us a favour. We have ordered our meal from the Village Fryer. So impressed with the standard and they even included free prawn crackers. Food was delicious. You don’t find to many businesses turning down an order these days. Still wish the staff at Hungry’s all the best but we will be ordering from the Village Fryer from now on.

Just had fish and chips first time ordering from here was delivered quickly. Food was hot and was the best fish and chips we've had in a long time will definitely order from here again thankyou .

Fish and sauce ordered and egg fried rice with a curry sauce and omelette a( cheese and ham) with chips. Omelette was tasteless with no cheese . Disgusting and very disappointing. Normally use at least once a week but no more

My wife spent over £20. The food we received was tasteless with no salt or vinegar even the order had a note saying please put salt and vinegar on. This left the food tasteless as no seasoning. I ordered a double burger which had 1 piece/slice of cheese which again had no taste, to cover 2 burgers was a real Shame but also no option to add a extra slice of cheese was disappointing. I really wish take away establishments would listen to its customers especially when a note is added to the order which specifies salt and vinegar. Might only seem small but trust me it goes a long way especially adding to the flavour of food. Jamie Oliver is no longer watching over with a naughty stick telling people to reduce salt intake. Be brave and listen to your customers you might just keep them......such a shame

I've downgraded my shining review due to reviewing the prices here. It seems very expensive even for just a bag of chips. Still a good place if you like paying more. The very best locally. Chips are top quality, they sell Pukka pies! Massive jumbo sausages! One of, if not THE best chippy on the Wirral. I’ve not gone beyond their traditional chip shop fayre, but they have a much bigger menu. Their default is to package chips in a sturdy paper bag - not the usual plastic bags used by others which ruin the chips. They also accept card payment, which is so much more hygienic than cash. Management here is top notch, with staff being warm and friendly despite the pressure of their very high order rates. Ace place.

New to the area. Nice chippy this. Spring rolls are fresh and fish is nice to. Chips were good portion. Coke was a bit warm but it must have been just put in the fridge. so I will be back here again.

Nice, some things I find pricy though

Fish, as always, was outstanding but what the heck happened to the chips!! Over £3 a portion which were binned after 1st taste. Soggy, most stuck to the wrapper and they tasted of old oil. The scallops weren't much better. It wasn't always like this. #fallingstandards

The best food in town allways fresh and hot, i will recomand with all my hart and they ar very prompt with the delivery.

Wouldn't go back, hardy any meat in my Special & ended up chewing on a massive piece of ginger that hadn't been cut up & was unpleasant....needles to say it was very bad

Very disappointing, ordered 2 chicken royal meals with portion breaded mushrooms for delivery. Delivery took 40 mins eventhough I live 5 minutes away. Chicken burgers unedible tough and stringy - overcooked/ or cooked from fozen absolutely awful. Chips were warm up like cardboard (No I don't have covid- neg test yesterday!) Breaded mushrooms were very watery inside as if frozen when fried. Very disappointed normally fairly decent but major let down on this occasion.

Ordered a home delivery for 6pm and the food arrived exactly on time, piping hot and delicious. Will definitely order again.

Great food it's too die for especially the fish and chips too

Tranmere by St Caths Not even worth a star,gets rock hard reheated lump of batter with bone dry fish inside. Chips very soggy and not fried,gravy was like thick lumpy grease and lucky because I don't like peas from any chippy. All this waste and it cost me a fiver. You should know this place is expensive. Does depend on what staff they have,some are ok and some not ok.

Great local chippy, takes phone orders, fast great service, decent prices.

I travel past many takeaways just to get to this one. It's about a 10 min drive but I just love this place. Everything from this place is spot on.

Love Hungrys. We have come here for years. Great food cooked to order and always plenty of staff. The doner meat and cos it's tasty but my gave us the crispy chili beef with boiled rice. Proper tasty

I've spent more time and money here than I'm willing to admit, my gut gives it away a bit though. Good staff who you can have a good laugh with is a big plus to me. The food is fresh and the shop is clean so I do enjoy eating from here.

Birkenhead branch.Staff friendly. Chips sloppy and stuck to the paper wrapping. Vermacelli greasy and tasteless. Vegetables very sparse as though just thrown into a container without observing the quantity. Disappointing as I've visited here before and was pleased but I will not return again.

Food exelant staff even better. Love it.
